A wonderful time, cozy atmosphere, and the service is really great!

The reservation went well, arrangements for the group as well as the location were well adhered to, the reception was nice, and the food and drinks were perfect. The food was good.

The predominantly young staff could be a bit more guest-focused and less preoccupied with each other. They are all very friendly, though!

Finally, a terrace where you aren't ignored by the staff. Good food and parking available for both cars and bikes. Beautiful surroundings too. We enjoyed some drinks and food. The weather was nice, and we sat on the terrace.

There were 13 of us: adults, teenagers, and children. They all found it very enjoyable and the food delicious. The playground was also great for the kids. As a result, the adults enjoyed everything as well. We will definitely come back again.

Monday, July 27, 2026, lunch. We sat on the covered terrace as a couple. Lovely atmosphere, extremely friendly and helpful service. We enjoyed the very tasty, generous meals, followed by warm apple pie. In less favorable weather and during the winter, it is also very pleasant to spend time in their beautiful restaurant (with a fireplace and original artwork on the wall). Clean, modern toilets. Nice walking area. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

We, a group of 8, enjoyed the meal outside on the spacious terrace. The food offered a wide selection and wasn't too complicated, yet showed great attention to detail and was very tasty. The portions were just right. My apologies for the smoking under the canopy/terrace; I didn't notice. In hindsight, it makes sense... We would love to come back again!

We enjoyed a high tea at Restaurant Grotel's Genieten last weekend. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, which immediately created a lovely atmosphere. The high tea started off very well with a delicious soup. There was also plenty of choice in tea, including many fresh varieties, which we really considered a plus. The savory rolls tasted fresh and were very nicely presented. However, we did find it a pity that the sweet treats seemed a bit more pre-made. For us, there was less variety and originality in them, making them feel slightly less special than the rest of the high tea. All in all, we had a pleasant afternoon with friendly staff and tasty savory snacks. With a little more attention to the sweet course, it would be absolutely perfect!

At this wonderfully beautiful location, our whole family enjoyed a well-prepared, delicious lunch. The menu is very extensive, and there is something tasty for everyone. In addition, the service deserves a big compliment. The waitress took plenty of time to take our order (of 11 people), even though it was very busy. And with 5 small children, this doesn't always go very quickly. The serving was also done in a pleasant and enjoyable manner, with a broad smile on her face. Very pleasant. In short: highly recommended.

Beautiful surroundings with walking route

Not at all hospitable, terrible! On Boxing Day, around 1 p.m., after a long walk in the woods, we wanted to warm up with a cup of coffee. Upon entering, the place was practically empty, and there were no "reserved" signs on the tables. So we asked a young woman if we could sit down. Meanwhile, three other couples had come in and were waiting behind us. She asked a colleague, an unfriendly-looking, thin figure with round glasses. The first thing he said, or rather, snapped at her, was "Who?" Uh... does that matter, who? I immediately had a bad feeling. But there was no room because the reservations were about to come in. We had to sit outside. But of course, with 10 degrees below zero, it feels like we're going to sit outside. The couples behind us looked surprised too. It seems strange to me that the place would suddenly fill up completely, because again... there was hardly anyone there yet! When the people at the table closest to us also immediately mentioned that they'd been ignored for a while, each still holding a drink and/or a piece of cake, I knew it was time to leave and never return, a rude, grumpy employee, truly unheard of... With a truly warm Christmas feeling, I headed home.

Wow! Honestly, what a fantastic place! The midday snack wasn't quite to my liking due to my allergies, but when I asked if something could be adjusted, it was so kindly accommodated. The waitress was incredibly attentive. The veggie croquette was so good that I briefly doubted whether it was actually vegetarian 😄 We'll definitely be back!

With such an incredibly hot day as Wednesday 2 July 2025 (35 degrees) it would have been nice if there had been a number of mobile fans. Perhaps a tip/recommendation for the upcoming warm period. Furthermore very, very satisfied with your accommodation!!!

Het was allemaal prima , je werd vlot geholpen, het zag er allemaal prima uit en smaakte goed . Prima locatie ook Enige wat we hadden is dat we in het verleden wel eens een salade bij jullie hadden gegeten, deze waren nu wat kariger. Verder super

Goede kwaliteit, vriendelijke bediening, informele sfeer. Ik wilde de bovenste regel indienen al review maar de app zegt dat ik minstens 100 woorden moet gebruiken. En met deze constatering doe ik dat. NB lees gewoon de eerste regel.

Really lovely little spot. It's cosy and comfy and the food is heartwarming. We come here often for a lunch over the weekends and are never disappointed. Their soups are great and so is the rest of the menu.

Heerlijk geluncht, mooi omgeving in combinatie met een wandeling langs het beekje, ook na onze MTB tochten ff kopje koffie met amaretto , fijne bediening

Wat een heerlijke plek. We zaten buiten op het terras met prachtig weer en een heerlijke lunch. Van ons alle vier 5 sterren. We komen beslist weer terug.

Gezellig eten in een huiselijke omgeving. De lunch was super lekker en zag er verzorgt uit. Met vriendelijk personeel.

Compliments for the efforts and the freshening up, but at the same time it has lost its charm. What was known as a relaxing spot has turned into a restaurant with children's play equipment that does not contribute to what makes the location so special and that you do pay for. In my opinion, tacky dating and other events are also inappropriate for overpriced catering establishments.

For us the place to eat when we are at De Biezen campsite: delicious food, good wine and a cozy place to meet up with friends from the region. Whether you eat inside or on the terrace, the service is always quick and very friendly (even if you sit a little too long...). We will definitely come back again!
