Finally, a cool place again where you can sit comfortably, get good food, and super friendly Amsterdam service, all within a great budget!! The service is attentive and fun, nice and quick-witted. Food portions are more than fine, and the side dishes are simply delicious, like chicory with ham and cheese!

The spareribs were relatively tender, but didn't fall completely off the bone. Normally, I don't mind that so much if the taste is fantastic, but this time it was quite disappointing. I felt there was very little marinade on the ribs, which meant the flavor wasn't strong. Additionally, the membrane was still attached to the ribs, which I consider a real dealbreaker for a restaurant that boasts about its spareribs.

Absolutely amazing!! The spareribs are super tender and deliciously seasoned. Later in the evening it does get busy and a bit noisier. But if you love spareribs, this is the place to be. The Chardonnay was delicious too.

I stumbled upon this place online and was immediately sold on the ribs on the menu. These were the best ribs I have ever eaten. The meat was very tender and very flavorful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A top spot in Amsterdam!

The food was very delicious. From the Tom Kah Kai soup to the Black Angus Steak. There was a brief misunderstanding which caused us to wait a very long time for our main course. I think they only started preparing it when we finally asked. We had changed tables, but that was before the starter. Afterwards, they apologized and compensated us generously and without asking on the bill. So, in the end, we left with a good feeling regarding the service as well.

Today was our first day in Amsterdam, and we were looking for restaurants where we could eat well at a reasonable price. When we arrived, we saw their all-you-can-eat ribs offer: €26 per person. We all ordered to try all three types, and wow, they were incredibly flavorful, juicy, and tender—the bones practically fell off! But the offer is only available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, if I remember correctly. I encourage you to go because the portions are generous and the quality is excellent.

I have eaten here in the past, so I decided to go back with friends. However, the staff had little patience. The first time, the waiter walked away indignantly before we even had a chance to order. The second time, the waitress was curt and we received eye rolls in response to our questions. The young man at the door, however, was very friendly! Additionally, I understand that the restaurant is known for its spareribs and that vegetarian options are limited. But €17 for a single veggie skewer with satay and a salad, without fries—I find that expensive and meager, even by Amsterdam standards. All in all: a rather disappointing experience this time. It is a shame, because these kinds of restaurants, where you can order a simple, good meal, should be a breath of fresh air amidst the tourist hustle and bustle.

Hands down, the best ribs I’ve had in Amsterdam!

A nice and pleasant place to spend time. I have been visiting there irregularly for many years.

Went here for their famous spare ribs, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant itself was nice, with a good atmosphere, and it wasn't busy at all on a Thursday. Normally, the all-you-can-eat spare ribs are only available from Monday to Wednesday and on Fridays, but because it was summer, they also offered them on Thursdays. The waiters were friendly, but the service wasn't very efficient. We had to wait quite a while before being helped. As for the ribs, they did fall off the bone, but they were very dry and didn't taste fresh. We tried all three flavors, but none of them stood out or suited our taste. The sauces are also not unlimited. We ordered a second portion, but it was only a small serving compared to the generous first one. We also ordered sweet potato fries, taste was normal (cant go wrong right?) But its a small portion I've eaten spare ribs at many places, and these were among the most disappointing I've had. Dont understand why other reviews like their ribs that mich. For me (us), I won't come back.

We visited 't Pakhuis during our stay in Amsterdam. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, but it is quite small and there are many tables, which makes it feel busy and crowded. We ordered the ribs and onion soup. My boyfriend enjoyed the ribs more than I did. I found them a little dry and felt they could have used more sauce. The onion soup tasted good, although it was quite thick. The service is a bit difficult to judge. The staff were friendly, but because the restaurant was very busy, it sometimes took a long time before we received service. Overall, we still had a nice evening and can understand why the restaurant is popular, but there is definitely room for improvement in both the service and some of the dishes.

No place in Amsterdam has better ribs than they do. A real Amsterdam atmosphere with delicious cuisine. Highly recommended.

We are the "hungry and thirsty cycle tourists" and yes we are leaving you a review! We could not have enjoyed our evening more. From the moment we arrived, and were personally greeted, given the alleged best table in the house (we agree!) and served absolutely sensational bottomless ribs, everything was just perfect. We weren't sure which establishment in Amsterdam was going to serve up the best ribs, but I think we found it. Three different flavours, we tried them all - the Asian style were our favourite - absolutely lekker! Looks like a lovely bar/pub to have a drink at as well, even if you don't go for dinner. Not many reviews have mentioned that before, so I will. Thank you for making our evening so bloody brilliant. We will be back :)

The spare ribs were simply incredible. Honestly, they were the best I've ever eaten. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

The Asian ribs and fries are very delicious! The meat was falling off the bone, as it should. We loved the spicy mayo they give on the side.

We were there with 11 people. That is possible as long as it is not in the evening. Normally, the maximum for groups is 8 people. We had a delicious meal there and the service was very good. We wanted for nothing. I had the spare ribs... delicious. The meat just slid off the bone. The fries were tasty too. The other people who were with me all enjoyed it. All in all, highly recommended... They might see me coming back again soon.

Ordered the Black Angus beef 200g with onion rings and Fries. It did not disappoint, very tasty and juicy, had a peppercorn sauce and was one of the best iv had in a while. My mates had a burger and 3 others the Ribs, all looked and tasted very good they said. Would definitely be coming again 👍 No pictures this time..

We saw this place mentioned in Instagram having great ribs. We went and it happened to be on a Wednesday when it's all you can eat. The first order of ribs was way more than needed and did not go for more. They were excellent. They have a limited number of beer taps but the beer was good. The background music was so quiet that it was very easy to talk. It has a really nice atmosphere.

The waiter (short and older) was very unpleasant if you don't speak Dutch and have difficulty making yourself understood in English. We had booked through Google and weren't asked for our name, but when we showed him our reservation confirmation, he got angry and asked, "What name?" We explained that we hadn't been asked for it, but he shouted loudly, "WHAT?" Then he sighed and pointed at a table without showing us to it. After a lovely waitress took our order, he came back to take it. Given the enormous noise in the restaurant, my husband tried to explain in a few words of English that it had already been done, and again, he displayed annoyance, sighed, and went to talk to another colleague in our ear while staring intently at us! We felt judged and unwelcome! I later read comments from several French people who had experienced the same thing. The food was good, it's a shame we'll never come back with such a chauvinistic waiter... Tourism is a major source of income for businesses... so why keep people like that?

We had a very good meal; the portions were generous. The atmosphere was subdued, but some customers were laughing a bit too loudly for our liking. The waitresses were pleasant, but the waiters, on the other hand, didn't seem too keen on trying to understand us, instead shouting "What?" Otherwise, I recommend it.

Ribs all you can eat were super tasty. Although, the wait between the rounds was sometimes a little long to be honest. We got in 4 rounds and went over time, which made it a long dinner for those on table who weren't doing the all-you-can-eat. But they were nice and hot every time, so can't complain about quality and taste! Nachos and cheesecake were also great. Atmosphere was lively and cosy, considering it was a wednesday too.

I visited Eetcafé 't Pakhuis after seeing it on Instagram, and overall, the experience was just okay. We ordered ribs and chicken satay. The food was decent, but it didn’t live up to the “best in the city” claim. It wasn’t bad by any means, but we’ve definitely had more flavorful and better-prepared versions of these dishes at other restaurants. The atmosphere was a bit of a mixed experience. It was quite noisy for a lunch setting, and the space felt a bit too dark for my taste. That said, there were some nice paintings that added a bit of character to the place. Overall, it’s an average spot—worth trying if you’re curious, but it may not fully meet expectations set by social media.

I think this place really depends on your taste. The portions were generous, and the food was not bad in a way that would make me complain, but it was also not the kind of meal that made me want to come back. I ordered the ribs, and for my personal taste they had too much fat, too much skin, and too much of that strong meat smell. There was a lot on the plate, but a good portion of it did not feel like the kind of clean, satisfying ribs I was hoping for. We also tried the Satay Royal Deluxe. It was okay, but the seasoning felt a bit too Asian-leaning for us, and the flavors did not feel fully blended together. It was not bad, just not very memorable. The place also claims to have the best ribs in town, but honestly, I had better ribs elsewhere in Amsterdam just a day or two before, so that statement did not match my experience. The atmosphere was also a bit too cramped and dark for my taste. Everything felt packed into a very tight space, and instead of cozy, it felt a little suffocating. So overall, not terrible, but not a place I would personally return to.

We had a delicious meal at 't Pakhuis in Amsterdam. We both had a steak with peppercorn sauce and dessert. The steak was really superb. The service and staff were very hospitable. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area.

A fantastic small but very pleasant restaurant, with exceptionally tasty meat. I ate delicious calf's liver and my daughter had the very tender spare ribs. Incredibly friendly and pleasant service from Nina. Highly recommended!
