The pizza was good, but it could have used a bit more dough and toppings. We both easily finished the whole pizza and could have also eaten an appetizer. A bit expensive for what we got. The service was super friendly, everyone there. The atmosphere by the canal was very cool; there were lots of families with children there. The pizza oven is located right inside, so it was a bit warm inside, but totally exceptional.

B&B used to be outstanding, but has unfortunately become less than mediocre. I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was basically pizza dough, dry tomato sauce, 1 dollop of cheese per slice and 3 basil leaves. It was so bad I even went back to tell them. Another friend randomly commented the decline in quality a week later. Great little spot, superb atmosphere, but quality has indeed dwindled.

Nice no nonsense place on the water, in the evening in the shade. Especially on warm days it is nice to stay on the terrace. Great pizzas.

Nice nice place with local ingredients and nice people who work there. However, I found the pizzas a bit sparsely topped and almost more like a flammkuchen.

If I could give Luca SIX stars, I would!! From the moment we sat down, Luca treated us like royalty — like, Beyoncé-level VIPs. She recommended the most life-changing pizza I’ve ever had (seriously, angels were singing), and her energy was just chef’s kiss! Every time we needed something, it was like she could read our minds — spooky but in a good way!! Luca is basically the reason I believe in good vibes again. If you’re lucky enough to get her as your waiter, you’re basically guaranteed the best night of your life.

Haven't been in a while, and these were always the tastiest pizzas in Amsterdam. But the ones we picked up tonight were bone dry, hard and very sparsely filled. It looked like toast with some random toppings on it.

I asked ChatGpt to help me find high quality pizzeria close to our hotel. AI recommened Eetwinkel Buurman&Buurman as one option. We wanted to go there since the location close to canal seemed nice. We had the best pizza ever there! I ordered Menu Special, and it truly was special. This is a must when visiting Amsterdam next time. We met the owner too and service was awesome.

Best pizza. Delicious 🍕🍕🍕 and staff are friendly especially to kids. Offered music choices and chatted away to them. PS no such thing as 'true pizza ' per comments. Pizza is bread, sauce and toppings. After that it's up to the chef.

Nice vibe but extremely long waits and stressed staff who clearly couldn't keep up with orders. Waiting 1 hour for 4 pizzas (while it wasn't busy at all initially) is really a bit excessive for a small restaurant like this.

In my opinion, the tastiest pizzas in Amsterdam! Delicious thin base and tasty toppings. A bit pricey, but really tasty! Especially nice to sit outside, not really attractive inside. They were also made quickly, didn't have to wait long. Service was friendly :)

The restaurant has a wonderful charm. You can sit right by the water while enjoying the delicious food (we had really phenomenal pizzas and a fantastic cheesecake for dessert). Highly recommended.

We ordered two meatballs Mayhem pizzas. What you get is a lukewarm pizza with cold unmelted cheese and a few meat things that look like dog food. At the branch on Witte de With they bake excellent pizzas, but we won't be coming back here

Very beautiful and nice location, tasty specialty beers! You shouldn't just come for the food alone. The pizzas were not very tasty. The staff was friendly but inexperienced. Had to wait a long time for the food.

You can probably count the really good Italian pizzerias in Amsterdam on two hands. So this is such a pearl. Ordered 3 pizzas and all three pizzas met expectations. Very tasty! Staff complimented which they humbly accept. Definitely a keeper if we are looking for quality for a not too high price.

I’m sorry but this is really not good pizza. Something which I was really disappointed to discover. I ordered the margarita but the cheese on the pizza is not even melted, just grated on top. The tomato sauce is also incredibly sweet. The base is like air, so thin and super crumbly, it’s gone in an instant. Unfortunately the best thing about the pizza was the basil on top. They also don’t offer any napkins on the table which is a bit annoying. Was really looking forward to eating here and have been very let down :( Better to go to Casa di Michael close by to here, quality pizza, and for a cheaper price

Parma was recommended by staff. Had Meatball Mayhem and Hallelujah Nduja. Fabulous! Light crust. Delicious toppings. Just damn good pizza. Also had Homeland Zeebonk, a NEIPA. Cheers to Buurman en Buurman. A great experience with your pizza and team!

Pizza was not very special but tasty, the snacks beforehand were very tasty. Atmosphere also good. However, the service was a lot less. We ordered the goodies in advance so that we could satisfy our hunger until the pizzas arrived. It took and it took and when I asked, it turned out that everything would arrive at the same time, about an hour and a half after ordering. This is simply too long for a simple order. It seemed that all orders were processed in chronological order and that seems a bit strange to me. You shouldn't have to make people wait that long and you can easily make something simple in advance in 5 minutes between pizzas. A person in our party had the exact same experience the day before so it was not an isolated case. In any case, I won't be coming back. Shame..

Never again. Pizza was tasty, but we had to wait almost an hour and a half for our order.

Unfortunately I became very ill after eating the nachos; this was the only dish me and my boyfriend had eaten together this day and didn't sleep a wink during the night (vomiting etc.). Check the expiration date of food that is served or work with stricter hygiene measures. Furthermore, nothing to complain about in terms of service and atmosphere.

Wooow- was super good and relatively cheap. Now quite expensive (32 euros for two pizzas) and both are not cheap. Really, sorry to say: gross. Nice to have a drink here on the terrace, but this food; you better quit with the competition in the area.

We have eaten two fine and exquisite pizzas. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly. The price has been more than reasonable.

We were welcomed to our table by a friendly young woman who took our order and helped us with the Dutch menu. We ordered pizzas, beer and water which didn't take a long time to be served. They pizzas were quite big but thin and delicious. We didn't have dessert.

Op een rustige maandagavond hier gegeten. Door de reviews aangetrokken. Het is een klein, wat rommelig restaurant. De bediening zeer vriendelijk. Wij kozen voor de bijzondere varianten pizza makreel en pizza meatballs. Beide pizza’s zeer smakelijk. Mijn makreel keuze heel bijzonder, erg lekker. Loop hier gerust naar binnen u zult niet teleurgesteld zijn!

Arrived there at 8.15pm on a Friday night only to be told the kitchen is already closed, even though the restaurant is open until 10pm …

Very good restaurant with a friendly and personal atmosphere in a nice location. The pizza is some of the best I've ever eaten and the only time I've ever not only enjoyed a vegan pizza, but found it to have really incredible taste as well! Only real downside is that the indoor seating is quite limited.

Normaal gesproken eet ik alleen pizza omdat het makkelijk of snel is, maar door deze tent begrijp ik waarom je uit eten gaat voor het eten van pizza. Toptent, heerlijke combi’s, en een schitterende oven! Specials van de maand een aanrader.

Heerlijk gegeten, veel vegan/vega opties en lief personeel. Gezellige plek! Zeker een aanrader!

We tried the pizza, like mentioned already, not really an Italian style pizza but more a Flammkuchen/cracker. We were disappointed, find it too expensive for what it is. I would come back for a drink, but not for the pizza

Sehr qualitativ hochwertige und schmackhafte Pizza, nette Bedienung trotz mangelhafte Englisch-Kenntnisse. Sehr gute und entspannte Atmosphere, zudem sehr hübsch eingerichtet.

Een van mijn favoriete pizzatent. Ultradunne bodems lijkt meer op flammkuchen dan pizza maar stelt nooit teleur. Pizza pittig is favoriet maar laatst de pizza van de maand gehad met witte saus, vijgen en gorgonzola, echt fantastische combi. Jammer dat onze fles rode wijn erg warm was.

Vooropgesteld dat ik heel goed begrijp dat het lastig is in de horeca qua inflatie, grondstofprijzen, energiekosten en meer (zoals de eigenaar hier op enkele reviews ook aangeeft) wil ik toch een kritische noot laten horen n.a.v. mijn laatste bezoek. Pizzadeeg ontzettend dun, het leek meer op flammkuchen. Het mag echt geen pizza heten. Toppings zoals altijd origineel maar ai, wat zit er weinig op de pizza’s. Nagenoeg geen chorizo te bekennen op de pizza, nagenoeg niets op de vegan pizza, en tezamen met de dunne bodem voelt het allemaal erg karig. Salade idem dito, garnering zoals artisjok en meer ook minimaal. Ik sla voorlopig even over en hoop dat er verandering in mijn aangedragen punten komt.

Perfecte bodems, interessante smakencombinaties, vrolijk en meedenkend personeel en altijd een goede sfeer en heerlijke muziek. Het Parool had gelijk deze week, met jullie benoeming in hun lijst met beste Italiaanse restaurants in de stad!

Poe dit viel niet mee. Het enige meisje achter bar en bediening deed enorm haar best maar kon het niet alleen (logisch). Alles duurde erg lang. Pizza's zijn niet super slecht, maar voor deze prijs (en bij de aanwezigheid van een goeie oven) verwacht je wel gewoon echt een goeie, en niet een soort flatbread met tomatensaus en niet gesmolten kaas. Dit moet beter kunnen!

Overall sad pizza experience - burned crust, hardly any toppings, and overall more like a cracker. Pizzas took 45min - 1hr.. View is great by the water and wine is good.

Such a bad experience at Buurman & Buurman on a Sunday evening. We waited over 30 minutes just to pick up the orders, and more than 1 hour for one pizza. The restaurant was hardly at 50% capacity. Once the pizza arrived we received an over baked thin cracker. Definitely not worth €16. The waitress was apologetic but showed no extra effort in making the 1,5hrs wait more pleasant. You’re better off eating somewhere else.

Bei einem kurzen Besuch in Amsterdam hat es mich hierher verschlagen auf ein Abendessen. Das Wetter war sehr angenehm und daher hat es mich nach draußen verschlagen. Gemütlich unter einem Baum bei einem selbst gebräunten Bier von Buurman. Es war köstlich. Zum Essen gab es für mich eine vegetarische Pizza. Was mir sehr angetan hat, dass es keine typische Pizza war. Sehr dünner Boden, die Zutaten war frisch und sehr gut. Als Dessert gab es noch einen hausgemacht Cheesecake. Ich habe den ganzen Abend dort verbracht. Das Service war spitze und der Besitzer sehr freundlich. Gerne komme ich beim nächsten Besuch wieder vorbei.

Great thin based, Italian style pizzas. Would love to see a few more pizza choices, (maybe a chef's choice one a month). Great big terrace space and you can reserve a table. Bonus points they have my favourite cider 😁

Very very slow service (we may have waited nearly an hour for our pizzas). Extremely hard to get a waiter’s attention (to order, to get cutlery and for paying). The food is good but not worth the price or the wait.

Prima, lekker in het avondaonnetje, uur moeten wachten op een bordje hapjes dus dan maar gecanceld.

Pizza’s zijn altijd weer fantastisch! Het maken van de pizza was 20 min vertraagd en dat werd op een vervelende manier gebracht, daarnaast verwacht ik dan in ieder geval dat er een drankje wordt aangeboden. Dat was helaas niet het geval, mooie kans om de service te verbeteren

Très bonne pizzas à emporter ou à déguster sur place, mais dans ce cas, attention il n'y a pas beaucoup de place. Ambiance un peu cantine qui plaira ou non, par contre la décoration est un peu fouillis, ça laisse à désirer (si l'on peut parler de décoration...). On recommande sans hésiter pour des pizzas à emporter. Par contre pour rester sur place, c'est vous qui voyez...

Het is binnen gezellig knus, er is geweldige en persoonlijke bediening en vooral heerlijke pizzas en tiramisu

Reservierungen über Google werden dort ignoriert. Obwohl wir 3 Tage vorher reserviert und dies auch noch bestätigt hatten, wurde der einzige Tisch, an dem eine Familie Platz hat, 5 Minuten vor unserem Termin (und wir waren schon 3 Minuten vorher da) an Laufkundschaft vergeben. Uns bot man an, mit der Familie an der Theke zu essen oder ein Pärchen an einem Zweiertisch (!) selbst zu fragen, ob wir uns mit 4 Personen noch dazu setzen könnten. Vermutlich hatte der Kellner an diesem Tag schon eine zuviel geraucht... :( Über das Essen können wir leider nichts sagen, da wir zum Glück in der Nähe ein nettes Restaurant mit dem letzten freien Tisch fanden.

Nous avons trouvé cette adresse par hasard et je vous assure que nous n’avons pas été déçus! Les pizzas sont magnifiquement bien garnis et la pâte est super fine. De plus, le lieu au bord de l’eau est très beau et calme. Je recommande à 100%!

Na veel goede verhalen besloten bij Buurman & Buurman te gaan eten. Drukke terras dag, dus netjes gereserveerd. Bij aankomst mochten we aan een picknicktafel plaats nemen bij een ander stel, nog net niet bil aan bil. 1,5 nee, niet eens 30 centimeter. Toen ik bij de bediening aangaf dat we ons daar niet comfortabel bij voelde gaf ze onaardig en hardop aan: ja zo doen we dat mevrouw, als het je niet zint kun je een klacht bij mijn baas indienen. - daar sta je dan-. Gelukkig konden we een ander tafeltje krijgen. Helaas was op 1 vlotte en vriendelijke jonge heer na, de bediening vooral bezig met zichzelf, hun vrienden op het terras en voelde totaal geen schaamte toen ze iedereen uitgebreid liepen te kussen en knuffelen. Wat een schande.
