A very cozy café with a small shop attached; the value for money is excellent. We each had two teas and an apple crumble, which was truly outstanding. They also made the tea with fresh ingredients and a small portion of delicious honey :)

Beautiful, calm place with great climat

For us, a Texel vacation wouldn't be complete without a visit to Cafe Windroos. Beautiful surroundings, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff – the perfect place to relax and unwind. The homemade walnut cake is excellent, and everything else on offer is delicious, too. Conclusion: Highly recommended!

We happened to cycle past and the sign caught our eye, which made us turn around. Bought a delicious walnut cake and a nice cup of coffee. Very nice place to come.

A restaurant partly run by mentally and/or physically disabled fellow human beings. A nice environment for the visitors and "clients" of the Maartenhuis. Next to the restaurant a garden with many herbs and other vegetables that are used in the freshly prepared dishes. It is an initiative that also takes place elsewhere in the Netherlands, including in the Kempen (Brabant) where "clients" serve in restaurants, bake bread and other products in their own bakery, etc. We had 2 toasted sandwiches and mushroom soup, which was unfortunately very salty! Nice relaxation during a bike ride.

Amazing place to have a lunch. Great view, nice garden. Special thing is a lemonade. It is super delicious. We also bought local cheese. Highly recommend to pay a visit. Everyone is super friendly.

Really beautiful and very tasty. I worked in the adjoining garden as a student job and mowed the lawn there regularly (every other day), and I asked myself whether it would really bother me while I was drinking a coffee if there was a lawnmower that was driving long distance two meters next to me 😂 But when I'm not mowing it's really nice.

A real gem hidden behind a cycle route in Texel, the food was cheap, home-made with fresh vegetables and the staff was very friendly. The only downside was that you had to wait quite a long time for the food, but that didn't matter because it was so good. I will definitely come back, highly recommended!

Our late lunch was super delicious 😋 Biological grown right there on their property. Sitting in the shade was not a crime while waiting for our courgette soup, delicious. It's such a great place, and it totally has our support ❤️

An oasis, and so close to the hectic De Koog. Very relaxed, beautifully cared for, with the use of clients with intellectual disabilities, organic products, beautiful store with a lot of work from the clients, surprisingly affordable. The blueberry and yogurt cake is divine.

Klein, schattig, landelijk, biologisch, betaalbaar, lekker, oplaadpunt voor de fietsen komt goed uit want je wil eigenlijk niet weg.. Je kunt ook bij de varkens komen, de buik is het favoriete aai gedeelte. Zeer lieve en bijzondere bediening!

Gezellig. Rond snuffelen. Lekker kop chocolademelk en appelkruimel gebak gegeten. En dat geserveerd met mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Leuk toppie houd ik van.

Ruim een kwartier op het terras gezeten zonder ook naar iemand te zien of te horen. Nergens kunnen vinden of je zelf binnen moet bestellen dus uiteindelijk maar weer verder gefietst. Er zaten wel mensen op het terras die wat zaten te drinken maar we hebben niets van bediening of iets dergelijks gezien. Jammer want het is wel een mooie locatie om even een tussenstop te maken.

Hier werken en wonen volwassen met een rugzakje. Ze werken in het winkeltje en onderhouden de tuin en de dieren worden door hen verzorgd. Heerlijke koffie en gebak. Toppie

Eine sehr schöne Einrichtung für Behinderte. Da können die Deutschen sich noch was abschauen. Sinnvolle Beschäftigung zur Eigenversorgung und Verkauf von selbst hergestellten Nahrungsmitteln und anderen Waren zu fairen Preisen. Sehr leckerer Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen mit Bedienung.
