Eiburgh Snacks in Zeeburgereiland/Nieuwe Diep

Legendary snack bar. I've been going there for years. First as a student on Zeeburgereiland, and now occasionally, because it's simply great work. The beef stew and fries are especially delicious. The people complaining are just not used to the real Amsterdammers who work here!

By far the best fries and satay sauce in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, period

What a terrible place. My fries were super greasy and way too salty. On top of that, the mayonnaise had a strange aftertaste. The staff weren't friendly and weren't hygienic either. What I'm worried about is that this place is going bankrupt.

It was just incredibly bad! They even smoked while preparing the food! And when I asked about it, I got an arrogant response, as if it was my problem that I wanted to live a few more years. Besides, everything is unhygienic; you can actually see dirt on the counter! I also reported it to the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). I'm never coming back here!!

Found it completely by chance when getting off tram number 26. We ate there with my 2 children, it was perfect!

Best fries in all of Amsterdam, and a large portion for €5.50. The owner is a bit grumpy, but that doesn't matter when you're making the best fries in Amsterdam for free. The atmosphere is also great.

Simply fantastic and delicious. Delicious satay sauce and good fries. I ate there a few times during the IJburg construction and came back again. Still good. That says it all.

More than fine fries. Crispy, freshly made, good taste. A bit of a shame about the aggressive anti pin signs, but everyone just paid with their card, so it wasn't that much of a problem.

Unfortunately, the frying fat wasn't fresh, which meant that the fries didn't taste good. Ketchup/mayo was terrible and the hamburger was horrible. The hamburger patties were a meat paste similar to a softened bratwurst.

Top fries made from fresh potatoes. Ready quickly too! Always tasty and delicious there. The environment is also very special.

It is an authentic cozy snack bar, the fries/chips are delicious and homemade. The bear bite and the croquette were also very tasty. The owner is friendly and a real professional, I would definitely recommend it and even drive a detour for it.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! Very bad experience. Fries full of oil that is very old. The taste was so bad that I immediately threw it away. The toilet there is 10x worse than a street toilet. The price is 5 euros for nothing!!!! Hygiene is 0

The best fires in all of Amsterdam. Old school vibes truly someone who is not putting a face to getting more customers. If you are looking for people who fake a smile don't go there. But if you are really looking for the best snacks in Amsterdam this is the place.

I personally think that Eiburgh has the best fries in Amsterdam. I came over from Oostzaan especially to enjoy it there, especially fries with stew are highly recommended. Professional and customer-friendly.

Unfortunately, the wrong order was given and the onions tasted sour. In addition, the staff has been very unfriendly in their communication for years: not even a 'hello' or 'enjoy your meal'. It's a shame to see that people seem to experience so little job satisfaction!

They were once the best fries in Amsterdam. I don't know if that is still the case, they are too different and not always the same. And yes, it can be cleaner. And yes, it could be friendlier. But the way it feels here makes it all worth it to me to go there for 13 years! A piece of the world that is being pushed away from new buildings coming up everywhere. This also applies to the entire environment there. It feels like a journey back in time, where people could still say what they thought and how things really worked. Would love to come there and enjoy a bit of the "good old days"!

Really tasty fries! Nice and crispy, good salt and with real mayo. The gentleman was also friendly. I asked if I could buy an extra bowl so I could put some water in it for my dog. The gentleman said that I certainly did not have to pay for the bowl, and that I would put in some water from the tap, because otherwise it would be a waste of my Spa water.

I didn't think the fries were that great, they weren't really hot either. Not my first choice in terms of ambiance. Everyone will say their own thing. And no pin??

Fresh-cut fries are still made at this place the way I knew them as a child. Crispy on the outside, full of flavor. Potato fries are my favorite and highly recommended. With a warm, welcoming and informal atmosphere, it was made quickly for me at a fair price. I have never left Eiburgh Snacks disappointed.

I don’t often leave reviews in the middle of eating but this is one of those magical places you just happen to bump into completely by chance. And it immediately becomes your place to come back to. Strongly recommend the beef stew.

Food was great my only complaint was the chips I had were a little too crispy for my liking but could be perfect for others.

The tastiest fries in Amsterdam! Wonderful place for a snack. Be sure to try the goat cheese croquettes! But they have much more than that! A place worth driving around for.

Het totaalplaatje ziet er wat groezelig uit, maar dit adres is zeker een omweg waard. Superlekkere friet en dan nog met mals stoofvlees. Hier kan geen frietjuwelier tegenop.

Heerlijk stoofvlees, frietjes knapperig met schil (en een bedelende reiger!!). Prima hoor

Gezellig oud Amsterdams tentje en hij gaf ons meer friet dan besteld echt een legende. 5 sterren.

Gewoon een ouderwetse goede snackbar. Geweldige patat, top snacks en ook heel snel!

Ik hoorde dat de friet daar superlekker was maar sorry hoor, ik heb beter geproefd. Hij geeft je de helft vers en de ander helft de patat die achtergebleven is van de vorige klant en die gooit hij nog een keer in olie en voila TROEP!!!

Het kan nog wel: krokant gebakken, heerlijk patatjes van echte aardappel i.p.v. dat geperste meel. Yummie Yummie!

Na een dagje Amsterdam liepen we terug naar de auto, hadden al eerder de goede reviews gelezen. Deze mensen snappen het, heerlijke krokante bruine en gezoute friet met mayonaise. Komen snel weer terug!

Goede patat en fijne plek om met de auto langs te gaan. Ik betaalde laatst wel 4 euro voor een gewone gehaktbal (zonder broodje) wat ik erg aan de prijs vond.

Kwaliteit is achteruit gegaan, had geen enkel patatje langer dan 1.5 cm. De mensen die er werken stralen ook niet uit dat ze er veel zin in hebben, de tokkies 2.0. Als je iets normaal vraagt krijg je geen antwoord, als je het nog een keer vraagt krijg je een grote bek. Jammer, maar ik kom hier nooit meer, ga liever naar een tent waar je je wel welkom voelt. De VWA zou eens moeten kijken met dat gerook achter de toonbank en de duiven en rattenstront die er ook te vinden is.

Goede patat, lekker authentiek. Goede pindasaus lekker pittig. Snelle service. Met goed weer kun je in het zonnetje zitten. Zeker het proberen waard!

Hidden treasure next to the highway (reachable by bike and on food) serving really generous portion of amazing fries. Stoofvlees is highly recommended with ‘bal met pinda’ as nice second.
