Snackbar Shoarma Pizzeria Fame in Overtoomse Sluis

I ate with a mouse. I was with my friends; we ordered three different dishes, and were served three identical ones. Besides that, the atmosphere needs a revamp. It's the first snack bar/pizzeria in the area with two slot machines.

The pizzas are delicious and affordable! Chef Martin makes everything himself, and he does it in his own unique way, with a big smile! I don't understand how this place got 4 stars. Poorly prepared food, not warm, hardly any sauce. Absolutely not recommended!!!

How did this place even get 4.5 stars? Seriously, this must be a scam! The shawarma was really subpar, not hot enough, with little sauce and few vegetables. In short, this definitely doesn't deserve a 4.5, but a 1. A real letdown.

Wonderful pizza and kebab. To top it all off, it's open later than all the other restaurants in the area. An excellent choice!

Owner was super lovely! Kip kapsalon was actually spicy and the portion was really good for the price. Will definitely be coming back for a late-night snack :)

Good food cooked and presented with care! I have seen other reviews saying the owner was rude to tourists but me and my partner had the opposite experience. The owner was polite and friendly. Would recommend for a quick in and out meal.

Delicious homemade shawarma, clearly prepared with love. I crossed the Netherlands to see this place and it is just good. The owner runs it all single-handedly, respect!

Last night my husband and his friend were hungry and it was the only place open. They choose this place as it has nice review for a SNACKBAR. Two of us wasn't hungry (girls). We have waited a long time for one pizza 30 minutes. After we received pizza, my husband sat down to quickly eat it. Few seconds later the owner or some guy who works there, started shouting at us that we should "Get away", we wasn't sure what is going on, he started shouting that we ordered only one pizza for 5 of us (we were 4 persons..). We got out of the place and then he followed us shouting that we are not serous that we only ordered one pizza and asked WHERE WE ARE FROM :O I have never experienced anything like this. Such a disrespectful person. Two of my friends are actually Dutch and said that it is not common behaviour in this country. If you want to dine in good luck, if you are a foreigner STAY AWAY.

Unfortunately, foreigners are not welcome here :-(

We were lost ships in the night, stranded and without light. Papas Snakeria opened its arms and kitchen to us in our hour of need. Great homey atmosphere, Great carbonara and bolognese, and a very welcoming service ^-^

It was my second visit before leaving Amsterdam. Chips and Pizza were so impressive. I can say the food is the best ever! Highly recommended this restaurant, you can feel so local! Hong Kong: Delicious food, especially the homemade pizza and French fries! Authentic shop, recommended! The shop owner is alone to look after the shop, so you have to wait patiently.

Honestly the best veggie burger in the neighborhood

The atmosphere has improved with the new design. The owner has had this business since 1985 and is the social face of his neighborhood.

Unfortunately we were not helped very well by Mr. The gentleman was grumpy and apparently not having his day. The fries we ordered were very soft and the sauce was just thrown in the bag.

Oh this place was such a delight! This place Is open till 1am in the night which was amazing since no place nearby was open and we were really hungry at midnight. We ordered the Margarita Pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we have had, made with lots of love by Martin, the owner and chef who is a lovely and wonderful person..make sure you strike a conversation with him. We ended up going again the next night for more pizzas and were highly satisfied. This place is a hidden gem in Amsterdam.

Martin, de eigenaar, kenmerkt zich door zijn buitengewone vriendelijkheid en zorgt ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. U moet hier echt naartoe voor de heerlijkste shoarma gerechten. Al jarenlang altijd super vers.
