In terms of food and hospitality, this is a top-notch place, and I would recommend it to everyone. You'll receive quick, personal service, and your food is always ready within ten minutes. It's often busy, which can sometimes create a crowded atmosphere, but I take that as a sign that everything else is well-organized. For a good lunch, I'd recommend the Gözleme Lion King! (The cappuccino was also very good.) The chef is always up for a chat and helps the staff with requests when it's busy. In short, definitely recommended in Almere.

Went there for the first time this afternoon. The side table was sticky; when you mentioned it to the waitress, she pointed to another table. You can sit there, or there...😂 I think they don't have any wipes. The food was okay, nothing special, but the attitude, omg 😂, that's a very unique way of thinking about solutions. Next time, I'll have lunch at the neighbors again.

I recently visited Ekmekci in the city center, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Its central location makes it very easy to reach, which is already a big plus. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Everyone who helped us was warm, polite, and genuinely welcoming. The prices are affordable, especially considering the generous portions. You really get great value for your money here. I ordered the gözleme with Mediterranean grilled vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was clearly prepared with care. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you satisfied without feeling heavy. The interior is another highlight. The space is decorated with beautiful plants and has a warm, inviting Turkish style. It feels cozy and thoughtfully designed, with that distinct Turkish warmth that makes you feel at home. Overall, Ekmekci is a wonderful place to enjoy tasty food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, all at very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and comfortable experience in the city center.

I ordered food and clearly stated I was allergic to certain ingredients. When it arrived, it still contained those ingredients. They promised to remake it, but they simply took them out and put the plate back in front of me. That's life-threatening when you have an allergy. Please be more careful!

The seats are very cramped and uncomfortable. Take a look upstairs. And the food was disappointing: only the gözleme was tasty, although the dough wasn't entirely fresh. The rest of the food is a real letdown. I hope this will be better addressed in the future, both in terms of allergies, seating comfort, presentation, and food quality.

Cozy little restaurant, good food, and friendly service, although the language barrier was a bit of a problem. The staff didn't speak Dutch very well, and even English wasn't sufficient. However, they were friendly and helpful, and we received exactly what we ordered. And it was simply delicious. One thing that was noticeable was that many of the chairs seemed dirty; that really needs more attention. The whole place feels clean and fresh, and the open kitchen looks neat. The chairs are a slight disappointment. For a full lunch, we paid around €50.00 for two people, which is a good price for the entire experience. We will definitely eat here again.

Ekmekci left a positive impression, but with some areas for improvement. The restaurant has the decor of a place you'd love to visit, and the food is excellent and not too pricey (especially the breakfast options + unlimited tea were superb). The service wasn't stellar, but just what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. The biggest issue is hygiene; I had to find a chair free of crumbs (the fabric of the otherwise comfortable chairs didn't help matters), and the menus are made of cheap plastic, making them torn and greasy. This is a family restaurant, so on the one hand, this is to be expected, but on the other, these "issues" can be solved with minor improvements.

This is no place to have a relaxed breakfast with your partner, friends, or family. Even before I finished my breakfast, the waiters came back several times to ask if they could take it away. Even my tea was taken away before I'd finished. Our breakfast, which had lasted half an hour to forty minutes, was completely disrupted by this. Instead of a relaxing atmosphere, we felt rushed, which was very disappointing.

The Turkse pizza, and Gozleme was equally impressive. The thin, crispy crust was generously loaded with savory toppings, making it a perfect dish for sharing or enjoying solo. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Today we went on a rainy day, unfortunately it rained too hard to go to the market so we went to Ek.ekci for a bite with the family. It was busy but the order was delivered to the table very quickly, earlier than expected. Within 10 minutes we could already eat well, despite all the tables being occupied. Really great! We were here for the 2nd time and I have to say that: service and quality have been maintained. It tasted delicious again and we really enjoyed it. The 4 of us spent around €60 here. See receipt for exact amount. As far as we are concerned: Reasonably priced. Definitely worth repeating and everything is halal of course❤️ If you happen to be in Almere, you should definitely go here.

Delicious Breakfast Experience at Ekmekci, Almere I am very satisfied with my visit to Ekmekci in Almere. The service is excellent and everyone is happy to help you with a warm smile. The all-in breakfast was not only very affordable (only €15.50), but also of high quality. I enjoyed an extra tasty gozleme, which is definitely recommended. The icing on the cake? Enjoy unlimited delicious Turkish tea! I will definitely come back here again.

I recently ordered a flame on piri piri gözleme and my experience was downright disgusting. There was a hair on my board where the food was reserved. This is really not acceptable, especially when others have complained about this before. Apparently almost nothing is done with this feedback, which only makes things worse. Hygiene should be priority number 1 in the catering industry. Hopefully something will be done about this as soon as possible because this is very disappointing.

Ridiculous place, there was hair in my food. When I gave the food back, the chef laughed. Tea cup arrived dirty. Fries had no taste seems as if they were fried twice. Definitely never again for me

Paid almost 30 euros for dry scrambled eggs with a little bread, 2 slices of cucumber and 4 olives. And the gozleme had a sweet aftertaste while it contained sucuk..

I asked for sauce with my food, then I wanted to order something extra so I walked up to the cash register, he thought I was coming to pay for the sauce. So you pay for that. Bad service. Never again. Just because I have to pay for sauce.

I stood at the cash register for a while to pay but the man behind the cash register was on the phone while I was waiting. He didn't care how long I waited there. Later another employee came to pay. I'm never going here again.

Unhygienic and unfriendly towards customers and to their own staff. Very dirty work environment where health restrictions do not get taken seriously. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. If you have food restrictions that have to do with allergies this is definitely not a safe place to visit.

The food really is quite good. The disappointing part is that you have to wait a bit for the staff to get to you so you could order, even when it is not busy. After you order it also takes some time for your drinks to get to you. The same goes for your food. But in my opinion it is worth the wait. The food is just so good, the menu is quite big. The Homemade drinks are also quite good. The place is clean but smells a bit because of the grill. But other than that, it is a great place to eat and drink.

A real shame, I just had an experience with a waitress who spoke neither Dutch nor English, luckily a gentleman was able to do this, when I received my food from the first lady, I couldn't help but smile. Instead, I got an arrogant attitude from the first lady in question. How do they expect you to come and get food at a place where they cannot communicate in English or Dutch?

They have to be sure that they works with correct and educated waiters.

We had dinner there this week and it was not okay. The food is heated in the microwave, while the customer pays the full price. A baked potato €8 :)

Ik heb nog nooit zulk onvriendelijk personeel meegemaakt. Daarnaast zijn ze hier ook nog eens zeer onhygiënisch (vies bestek, vieze glazen en de sap was erg oud) en ook kwam het eten koud aan na 3 kwartier wachten. Wij komen hier niet meer.

I do not know what happened but this is not the same place I visited 6 months ago. They almost removed cheeses to 0. only two super small cheese cubes and a weird white cheese slice. Almost no ‘kaymak’ for honey. Feta egg contains no feta I assume and gozleme with sucuk was a disaster. It was just a plain yufka with a few super thin sucuk slices. It was not the case 6 months ago.
