Customer unfriendly and you don't get helped.

We ordered four gozleme. It all took ages, even though it wasn't even busy. Afterward, we didn't even get any cutlery or serving dishes. Very slow and poor service.

We went for the dinner there. Everything was great and perfect. The food was great. Everything is halal I liked how they serve and food was delicious and budget friendly.

Breakfast was good, but the staff weren't friendly or attentive. The menu was only in Dutch, which was quite difficult for tourists like us. Also, the tea was cold.

I ate here, and it was a huge disappointment. The food was inedible, tasteless, and absolutely not what you'd expect from a restaurant. Furthermore, the service was terrible. The staff acted as if they had no experience whatsoever—unprofessional, rude, and childish.

Waited almost half an hour in a near empty restaurant to be served , then a mix up with someone else’s dish followed by an exchange of words with an unnecessarily aggressive staff .. ruined the entire lunch experience for the family

We were the first guests in the restaurant this morning and received a very friendly welcome. The ambiance is fantastic, with plenty of seating and stylish decor. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I can't say much about the food, as words don't even begin to describe how delicious it tastes and how beautifully it is presented. The cleanliness throughout the restaurant and in the restrooms is also a plus.

We came here for a late lunch on Sunday (around 2:00 PM). We weren't helped until we went to the counter ourselves and asked if we could order. The all-inclusive menu was already sold out, so we only ordered three gozleme. They forgot one gozleme and never brought it. When we asked, the employee said it was probably brought to another table. The staff are young women who aren't very professional yet and prefer chatting with each other to helping customers.

Jemmy is a fantastic manager! We felt pampered, and our gözleme was made with so much love! It was clean, and the food was delicious!!!! Highly recommended since the previous owner left! Keep up the good work, and we'll definitely be back!

Five of us stayed for dinner at this restaurant. Our first impression was: "How nice!" Our current thought: "How awful." Let's start with the staff. Three girls served us; okay enough. We were more concerned about the owner's whereabouts, as these girls locked the doors behind us to "replenish ingredients." This is absolutely unacceptable from a fire safety perspective, and if you can't handle any more customers, the owner should consider hiring more staff. We had already ordered (after asking three times if we could even order), and the food arrived about thirty minutes later. The tea, on the other hand, was truly awful, but the food was okay... until we all got home and got food poisoning the next day. Incidentally, this is the only place we all ate together, so we're pretty sure it came from there. Furthermore, there were maybe three or four tables occupied in the restaurant, which made us even more surprised when the doors were locked. All in all, it boils down to the fact that you're better off walking a bit further to another restaurant.

Gozleme was too salty. We struggled to eat it. Before I'd even tasted it, I said I wanted another gozleme to go. They'd simply forgotten to make one of our orders until we asked where it was. We were told they were busy making the gozleme to go, which meant it would arrive a bit late. They started preparing the kapsalon when everyone else was almost finished. The kapsalon wasn't good either. When we paid, she looked at me in shock when it turned out they hadn't prepared the gozleme to go at all. So she lied when we asked about the kapsalon. I got a 10% discount because of all this, but I still think it's outrageous. We were practically the only customers they had to serve. Too bad.

I went again recently for breakfast. Food is still good but one of the 2 ladies at the cashier were very unwelcoming. I believe that the restaurant serving team should be better selected. Old review: The food is simple and nice. I went for breakfast. The only downside was the lady serving the food as she was very unwelcoming. (This was a year ago)

Horrible Service and Unprofessional Staff If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience here was genuinely shocking. I came in on 16 July and sat down, only to have my clothes ruined because the chair was soaked with a spilled drink. There was absolutely no warning sign or notice. A simple mistake that could have been easily prevented. An employee came over after the fact, and instead of apologizing, just told me to move. When I politely suggested that a sign would prevent this from happening to others, she became visibly angry and hostile. Suddenly, she refused to serve us, claiming they were closing early at 5 PM (it was only 4 PM) and were "take-away only"—which made no sense since she had just asked me to switch tables. I checked the official hours on Google, which said they close at 6 PM. When I showed her this, she invented a new excuse about a "managers' meeting." It was blatant that she was making up lies to kick us out because she couldn't handle simple, constructive feedback. To be treated so poorly and dishonestly after having my clothes spoiled by the restaurant's own negligence is unacceptable. This wasn't just bad service; it was actively hostile. Avoid this branch if you expect any level of respect or professionalism.

We had a truly enjoyable experience with the delicious and carefully prepared breakfast and the friendly and courteous staff. Service was quick, and the venue was both clean and stylish. I'd definitely come back!

Had lunch here today with a small group. Upon entering, we were greeted politely and were allowed to choose a seat ourselves. An employee quickly came to take our order, despite the fact that it was also possible to order via a QR code. We ordered at least 8 different dishes and they arrived quickly. Everything tasted fresh and arrived nice and warm/hot on the table. The food was delicious and completely balanced in terms of price-quality ratio. Afterwards, they asked if the child who was with us could have a candy and we were politely wished a nice day. Definitely recommended for a solid lunch with many options👍🏽

We had dinner with 5 of us. Was very tasty... And the ladies are super sweet... The food was incredibly tasty and we got a clear explanation of what we ordered... REALLY TOP!!! We always have a good experience with ekmekci in other branches. Coincidentally was in Hoofddorp and wanted to eat gozleme. Well, we order via screen (very nice). No receipts, still fine. And then we have to wait for almost half an hour for our order. Were only 3 girls in the kitchen, cash register and service all change. Found it a bit strange because usually at other branches always were fast service. Almost all tables were dirty not yet cleared. For us never again sorry.

Staff handling food while using a phone—major hygiene issue. Despite an empty restaurant, waited 40 minutes, only to receive an incomplete order, missing cutlery. Definitely not worth it.

Today we got gozleme for the first time after a tip from an acquaintance of ours. It was delicious! My children also really liked it! Definitely worth repeating!

By now the favorite restaurant for Wednesday afternoon lunch with my son. Gözleme with sucuk are favorite, also the veggie gözleme is very tasty. Also the coffee is very tasty! Staff is very sweet and helpful and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere! Nice that you can also look into the kitchen. We like to come here! 😀

we visited here today. we wanted to select ingredients for the kumpir rather than selecting smt from the menu. they said okey but wanted us to wait until the chef is ready. we waited like 10/15min to give an order. by the way the place was very empty, there were 4/5 people only. but the waitress and chef were acting very slow. anyway we ordered kumpir with olives, corn, pickes and sucuk only. we even didnot ask sauce. kumpir came with those ingredients and very small amount of cheese and butter, I didnot even feel the taste of these cheese or butter. worst kumpir ever. in the end we paid 17eur for an empty potato. it was my first and last visit to this place.

I can't imagine a worse experience! We were served bread that came from other guests who had just left, but had not completely eaten their bread basket! Asked for a manager to discuss this, but instead an aggressive chef walked up to us with clenched fists (while we were having lunch with 2 young children). After indicating that we did not like the situation, the staff only shouted louder, causing even other guests to run out of the tent.

We had a great time with the family yesterday! Normally I don't write reviews quickly, but I really wanted to share this experience. The children absolutely loved the beautiful decorations, and we were immediately warmly welcomed upon arrival. Because it was Eid-al-Fitr, the children received a cute bowl of chocolate, which they really appreciated. The lady who gave it was so super sweet and friendly! The children also received balloons, which made their day even more special. They played happily around the store, which I personally didn't really like, but the employees really liked it and even liked it. They said: 'It's a party today, go run and play, but be careful!' How sweet is that? Despite the crowds, we were helped quickly and the food arrived quickly. We sat near the open kitchen, and it was really nice to see how hygienically the work was done. All in all a great experience that we will definitely repeat again!

Been there for lunch more often, and up until then it was always good in terms of service and food, you get large portions (may also cost a bit), but what happened yesterday (Sun 30 Mar) made me doubt the way things are done in this company. Argument occurred with a dissatisfied customer (not us). Staff (all young people, I think at least none over 18, they didn't look like it and they didn't behave like it) handled the situation anything but professionally. Customer was also immediately very passive aggressive and forceful, could have been a bit lower, but even then I see no reason to act the way the staff acted today. Customer had apparently already had an argument with a young employee, we understood from the conversation, but we weren't in the restaurant yet, so we didn't notice this. 2 other underage girls who then tried to speak to the customer about this, one who initially tried to do this somewhat calmly and well, the other stood quietly next to them. The discussion continued, because the employees did not say the right things (while in my opinion it is easy to imagine what a dissatisfied customer wants to hear in such a situation), which frustrated the customer. Then unfortunately the employee who initially started the argument wanted to add fuel to the fire, by coming over as a squirt and making mean remarks, while the customer had already said that she did not want to talk to her anymore. This only irritated the customer in question more, because from one person he gets to hear A, the other B, and yet another C. Logical! You would think that if you have nothing reassuring and professional to say, you should stay out of it! To this the initially somewhat polite employee responded unprofessionally to the customer, and suddenly he felt that he had all the staff against him. Of course, the conversation that was going in a better direction suddenly fell apart. The customer felt unheard and flipped out. The argument continued in the doorway, (everyone in the shopping area heard it), whereupon a few male colleagues (young boys) also started to get involved. This got so out of hand that there was swearing from both sides and both threatened violence. The customer had 2 small children with him. I can't imagine what this must have been like for them. Final score, this could all have been resolved if 1 person had calmly and professionally talked to this customer, and made sure he was compensated (discount, free drink). That is the least you could have done to end it properly. What happened cannot be undone of course. On the other hand, he was proven wrong until the end, they constantly contradicted him, he was provoked from all sides, and then almost thrown out the door by a number of you. Where is an actual ADULT employee or manager?! This mediation should be his/her job. In addition, it is Sunday, Ramadan has just ended, it was quite full, so a busy day. Please do not let such things be solved by a bunch of young employees, who clearly all say something different one by one and have their own policy, and would rather provoke this customer because they have a short fuse and too much pride, instead of listening and compensating him. Please save your fighter mentality for somewhere else than on the work floor. To these young people: Shame on you. You have embarrassed yourselves and the company in front of your other customers and dozens of bystanders on the street. Your opinion and frustration do not matter. The customer is certainly not always king, but you could have taken a better example here than was done. I hope you have learned from this, because this situation could have escalated so much, you do not know who you are dealing with, and then the police will be on your doorstep in no time and they will immediately see that there is no adult manager present.

Before the reopening we had an unpleasant experience here. There were three tables, but an hour later we still hadn't received anything. Staff statement: it's busy. THREE tables is not busy! Now with the reopening we gave it a new chance given the experience of relatives. The gözleme, sucuk-egg and lemonade are the only products that are fresh. Bread and simit that you have for breakfast are hard. Given that they are small, literally, chunks, the bread is probably used from what is left over from previous customers. Cucumbers that are dry and dirty. Addressing staff results in a discussion in which staff says: you are disrespectful, arrogant, you have to leave the store. Very good Ekmekci! Keep it up. With such staff you will definitely retain your customers. On to the next reopening!

I arrived at the location. Half of the menu was not ready. The doner was still frozen en cold. I went to another doner restaurant and enjoyed my delicious food.

Last night, after iftar, we stopped by for a cup of coffee. The store looked good and the lady at the counter helped us very well. We had a nice chat and I would like to compliment the ladies and gentlemen who were present. It was a pleasant experience!

Delicious food. A loaded fries piri piri! Cozy atmosphere and really tasty food. Prices aren't too bad for the portion you get!

I came here with my Turkish friend who wanted to taste the Gözleme. We arrived pretty early so there were no other people in the store. We ordered via a digital payment system. We got checked up on by the employees quite often. Looking on the menu, I was missing the authentic Turkish stuffing options. Eventually we got the food. The Gözleme tasted very nice, we both enjoyed it! From previous experiences, eating Gözleme in the Netherlands, the price/quality is alright. 4/5

Ekmekci in Hoofddorp has opened again and we are very happy! We immediately sent a message to the whole family: *EKMEKCI IS OPEN AGAIN!* It was great to see the familiar faces of the staff again. The ladies are always so friendly and helpful. The team works really well together, both in the kitchen and with the service. After our meal we even got a portion of delicious, fresh baklava on the house – thanks for that! They are also very child friendly, my daughters were offered a lollipop. The staff is happy to help you and explains everything clearly. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone! Until next time!

Inexperienced staff who don't even take their work seriously! Take Ekmeci in The Hague as an example

We recently ate here since they reopened. We have been there before the closure, when a very friendly lady worked there, but probably closed due to a shortage of staff? It took a very long time for someone to come to our table. Then it took a very long time to get our drinks. The girl serving was very inexperienced but she did her best. Everything went wrong, orders mixed up, long waits, dirty tables. There were four of us, we ordered 4 gözlemes and only received 1. Then the manager came (twice!) to ask what else we had ordered, she went to help prepare it herself and tore open the packaging of the gözleme with her mouth 🙈. The gözlemes were tasty but not special. Due to the atmosphere and chaos surrounding it, we will not eat here again. Perhaps a tip to train the staff properly, especially at the beginning after a reopening. That really is the calling card of your company! If you have to wait a while and perhaps offer a drink or something to compensate for the long wait, people may return.

I think you mainly pay for the atmosphere and decor. Since the lovage bread ran out, substitutions have been made (if I hadn't been told I probably wouldn't even know). fries okay, not the best. pre-made sesame bread. food was not really hot, not super fresh. The ambiance of the place is great, however the staff needs some upgrading. They don't speak proper Dutch/English, we simply couldn't understand each other. Apart from that, there were a lot of main dishes not available. The food was delivered after an hour, even though the place was empty. The food was very tasty though. Such a shame, it could have been a great success!

What a shame! Such a beautiful concept that has delicious food and a good atmosphere in many places in the Netherlands. Unfortunately this is really a flop. The food was not tasty, got the wrong order, hardly any filling in the gozleme except cheese... food for my child was not even heated properly, cheese had not even melted. My husband's plate of meat was taken away again during dinner because apparently meat was still being heated up... (why is this already being served)? Drinks were forgotten... atmosphere was not pleasant. Toilets not clean. We will definitely not come back here again, take example from Ekmeci The Hague and Almere, the food here is delicious. With all due respect, the lady who made the food for the guests tonight, I would still take training on the products on the menu. All 3 of us are nauseous because of the food. Very unfortunate! I don't recommend it!

Nice and very tasty food. And finally something different than the many standard lunchrooms with a standard menu. Sometimes the service could be smoother, but other than that the staff is really friendly and sweet, so that's not a huge problem. The lighting is a bit too bright in some places, which detracts from the otherwise very attractive interior.

Taken Kumpir (children's menu). Was fine but not very warm, unfortunately. Indicated and let it warm up. There seemed to be no difference unfortunately.. taste experience was different from other Ekmekci (location The Hague center). Smiling more often or welcoming/greeting customers is also allowed, so that people feel welcomed and comfortable. Otherwise okay. Well located in the center of Hoofddorp.

Just go here for your lunch and be suprised beyond imagination. Make sure to try their speciality: Gözleme! It is rich, full of flavour and if you think you get a small piece? You are badly mistaken as it fills up the entire (big) plate! If you are a small eater, it is best to share with your friend/partner.

Honestly, the staff was really customer friendly...genuinely nice...but gözleme and breakfast and tea were very disappointing. Especially for those prices. Not what we are used to at home or in Turkey. I think the kitchen is more important than the interior or atmosphere. Sorry

Ordered Kumpir (baked potatoes) via Uber Eats, in addition to the long wait, I received everything except a Kumpir, it was a half-cooked mini potato without salt or any flavor, a real shame for such a well-known restaurant chain, shame on you!

I don't normally post a review. But what goes wrong every time with your ministry! This is the 5th time everything goes wrong, I'm not the only one who thinks that they always forget something or something is missing! Portions are getting smaller, I order coffee and you have to wait 10 minutes for it, then you get coffee with an insect in it. You ask for a new one, wait 10 minutes again, this time coffee with a hair in it, and then your colleague denies it is a Somali or Eritrean female colleague. She is always grumpy.

This time I found the service short. The food was placed on the table without a word. Our 3rd dish didn't arrive until 10 minutes later. So we couldn't all eat at the same time. The quality of the food was tasty as usual. Although I did have the impression that the gozleme was smaller than normal

First time here for a Turkish All-in breakfast. So far the best Turkish breakfast here in the Netherlands! Everything is super fresh and really tasty. Service was top notch and a very nice first experience everywhere. We will definitely come back 😄

Very bad experience. After our previous two visits, which were well taken care of by the owner, today's experience was more than bad. Management paid no attention to the customers. Order was not taken when it was finally done, this went wrong. Food was served per portion per person, so one person was already full while the other still had to be fed. Even tea was not served after an hour. After repeatedly asking about this, nothing was done about it except that the attitude of the waitresses only became more grumpy. We ended up leaving the pabd halfway through our meal because the atmosphere ruined our appetite. Not worth repeating, we will not come back here again. It's a shame because the owner had worked so hard the previous times to put Ekmekci on the map. Now that she is not in the business herself, you see that everything is collapsing. Too bad, very sad...

The food is very good but the service is the worst ever every single time. This is a real shame, since the place has great potential with a nice menu and very good tastes. But waiting over 1,5 for your breakfast is simply unacceptable. All the staff is each time new and inexperienced and often unwilling to work.

Taste was amazing! I wish you cleaned the table with new table entry. Food was a bit too salty but still very good! I hope you will fix your fly issue. There were small flies everywhere and it is not nice while trying to eat, flies are running to your face / food.
