La Place in Schiphol

Cold, dirty wrap and a bottle of water: €12.16. Unacceptable even for an airport.

A great food option at Schiphol Airport. Something I didn't see at other airports in some of the countries I visited in Europe. The vegan food section is delicious (salads, bread, snacks, natural juices, and more).

Horrible service and food, not worth half the money...

The flat white is very watery; it barely has any coffee flavor. It's absolutely not worth the €4.95 price tag.

Only some of the food I didn't like that much but otherwise nice restaurant

Hot meal in airport in quiet place for 20 Euro: after 17 o'clock burger, soup & fruit dessert.

Mediocre quality sandwich. Instead of a flat white I got a lungo which I discovered only later.

Terribly expensive, so you want your money's worth... The ladies behind the counter chatter disinterestedly. Dirty tables, a woman walks at a snail's pace. I have no idea what she's doing. Maybe they should clean the tables. This can't be right because you have to wait for your flight... Next time, try a different company.

A place for a quick meal, they have several options, I had the sandwich, my wife preferred a vegetarian sandwich. Very good for waiting for someone arriving by train or plane and having a snack to pass the time.

The sandwiches are always delicious. Pricey, but definitely delicious! It's a shame the service is so terrible. There are long lines waiting for sandwiches, then there are trays laid out, and then nothing is replenished until the last sandwich is made. Even when you ask if you can have a sandwich, you're told to be patient... too bad, that really could be better.

Sandwiches dried out and very expensive.

You choose whatever you want from the buffet & bill it later. Incase you missed the breakfast at the hotel this is the place to go. Offers a make your own bowl salad (veg) burgers breads coffee juices (fresh&bottled) chicken & soups ..just enough for a hearty morning meal.

My vacation started at Schiphol Airport, where I bought an egg salad sandwich for almost 8 euros at La Place. It looked delicious, but unfortunately, the sandwich seemed two days old. It was so tough that I stopped eating it halfway through, feeling the pinch of a strained jaw. Such a shame. So much more could be made with very little effort. For that price, you'd expect a decent sandwich.

Wow the older cashier lady was SO rude to me and also her teenager colleague. It was abnormal Also it’s quite crowded bere difficult to find a place to sit

We had coffee, a sausage roll, and an egg salad sandwich here. The sausage roll was hard at the bottom. The coffee was weak. The egg salad was sour, and the roll didn't taste fresh. There were plenty of tables available, but it took a while to find clean laundry. I'm used to something completely different from La Place. We don't spend anything there anymore!

I don't think I will give this food to my dog, if I had one. Disgusting, industrial and had bowels issues right after. The young tenant at the kassa was nice, though

Airport food at airport prices!

My wife and I arrived here around 4:00 AM, waiting for our flight. The atmosphere isn't very pleasant or comfortable, but the sandwiches and soup they serve are okay. Very overpriced, but perfectly fine. For a coffee and a simple chicken sandwich with minimal sauce, we paid €13.46 per person. And it wasn't worth it. The coffee wasn't great, and the sandwich was quite plain and very simple. My chicken was also very dry because it had very little sauce.

AVOID La Place ...go to any of the other dozen restaurants in Schiphol Plaza. The staff looked unhappy and were obnoxious. Although the food is beautifully presented it is actually of very poor quality ...and either tasteless or not nice (smoothy, egg mayo sandwich, sausage roll - all horrible). Tea is issued in a large, heavy glass and difficult to hold when hot. In truth the croissant and jam was OK but you need to pay extra if you want a tiny packet of butter. Nice, reasonably clean seating area.

What a terrible cappuccino. Way too hot and tasted awful (burnt?). And from a vending machine for 4.60 😳. I'll just move on to another coffee to go.

They mess up the bowls to make you take the bigger size thinking you’re taking the small. Then ofc they charge you as the big size because you took a big size from the pile labeled as ‘small size’ but actually a big size. The employees apparently don’t really care. Felt like scammed

Dirty tables, everything sticks

I urgently needed to charge my phone to catch the bus home, as my debit card is on it. So, team leader Jamal helped me, who very kindly gave me a seat in the restaurant and lent me his charger. Very customer-friendly and super thoughtful!

Well, those glory days are long gone, but it's still delicious. La Place used to have generous portions of toppings (like the cream cheese), but now they literally weigh portions (I saw them weighing them). It's still delicious, but the charm has gone. And it's extremely expensive (9 euros for a sandwich).

The tomato soup was a bit bland but still good. There weren't many smoothie options (only two), but otherwise it was okay.

Buffet style restaurant, quite expensive for the amount / quality. Seating in a loud, full area. The staff was short but helpful when answering questions.

Coffee very very bad taste. Terrible terrible

What will La Place do about the terribly bad, weak coffee, which they also (eventually) made for us? I think there are enough bad reviews to do something about! We also encountered three lovely young ladies who were very focused on each other instead of the line. At Schiphol, people want to catch their train/plane, etc., quickly.

Great, nice and attentive staff.

Delicious, man, scallion sandwich. I had an egg salad sandwich, but it was so full of scallions that you couldn't taste the egg salad at all. The orange juice was fine, but the sandwich was a throwaway. And that for only €7.50.

What can you say about La Place? Not much. Way too expensive. 40% more expensive than the regular La Place!

Not interested in people, only concerned with himself.

Cappuccino was lukewarm. What a disappointment for a first cup of coffee back in the Netherlands

We had a fresh salad for breakfast and a tuna sandwich that tasted good.

We witnessed today a mouse walking between the soup and sandwiches. Was so shocked that we immediately left.

Excellent food and good service at Schiphol Airport. The place is a bit chaotic, typical of an airport, but with patience you can find a table.

I had a salad with potatoes, broccoli, finely chopped carrots and bell peppers. The potatoes were raw. Really raw. The rest too, but you can eat that raw without any problems. But raw potatoes are poisonous!

I am shocked by the rude and awful service I received at La Place. I gave the cashier working, €7 to cover the cost of my baguette however she accused me of only giving her €5. I knew I gave her the correct amount as I had prepared the cash before arriving at the counter however she proceeded to insist I didn’t pay the correct amount. I have to assume she pocketed the amount so I gave her the additional €2 she insisted I didn’t give. Once I gave her the additional €2 she continued yelling at me that if I had the money the whole time, why didn’t I hand it over? I told her I had another €2 with me. She continued yelling at me as I walked away. Disgusted by my experience!

Great salad bar with lots of options.

La Place is our favourite restaurant especially in travel days. I strongly recommend the cheeseburger with fries. When you eat your foods with some alcohol, it will make you ready for the flight 😊

Was Not possible to order due to the Missing products

Bad experience with customer service! We got extra drinking glasses when we filled up for more water, and one staff came over and scolded us. We were tourists and were not aware of such “rules”, there were also no clear signs at the place where we collected the glasses, I don’t think it was fair and very nice to do to your customers. However food was decent overall. Will not come back again for this kind of customer service though.

Only reason to go is the line everywhere else is too long and moving slowly. I got a wrap, a sandwich and some potatoes. Oversauced, poorly made, underseasoned...i regret not waiting in the line for something else.

I'm sure I'm back in the Netherlands - you'll get robbed - a second-rate rubber sandwich that you pay top dollar for, dressed as if it's richly filled but there's nothing on the inside.

For this location a good but simple option for something to eat.

There were three men and 1 was serving. Although there was a line, the others did nothing. The cappucino doesn't taste like anything and costs €5. Very bad. I will never go to a La Place again 🫣

What a pity that you don't offer milk substitutes... we just went to Stach's for a cup of coffee.

Definitely the best airport spots, food, healthy, affordable prices, bright and clean setting for an airport. It's perfect.

Extremely bad coffee for €4.50 for a medium cup. Real bend. Avoid.

Be careful if you pay in cash they will give you less change if you are not keen.

What unfriendly staff. (Sunday evening 10 pm). Can't say good evening, not even a word. Then just put a robot there.

The device they give you for retrieving food is super greasy. I understand the chef is doing this all alone so that’s why it’s greasy. But at least can you get someone else to hand out the device otherwise it’s greasy on my hand as well which is just annoying. Food is ok but the greasy device just gives me a super bad experience.

Fresh vegetables, good hot soups, pastries—all was perfect, especially for an airport self-service place.

The coffee is horrible, undrinkable. A horrible cappucino for almost €5. The coffee seems to have been in such a large coffee chain for a day. Metallic, gross.

Red bull and water is €8.50 rip off stay away from there

Close it down. Food poisoning. There are several people who have had this and many who may not have taken the time to write up as they are busy catching a flight

Extremely expensive for very poor quality. Asking ridiculous amounts for ice tea. And especially, 7.75 for a soggy sandwich that has been there for a long time. It is half covered and as dry and tasteless as anything. A mockery

Very poor quality of food and service Staff are confused. Ordered cheeseburger and received burnt fries with un teasty regular burger. Sugesting to go to McDonald, at least you know what you pay for and do not expect anything special.

Food was okay but of course way too expensive

We bought Soup Peas, but it was not stated that it was raw and we could not drink it. You can write the contents more clearly and at least add the text “with ham”

La Place is not my thing. But Starbucks was very busy and you won't see me at Burger King at 6 o'clock in the morning, so la Place remained.

Very friendly, Friday night, night shift, boy and girl, they treated me great, even though I can't eat with wooden cutlery or paper cups, and they were very kind to give me a spoon and a glass cup, they were the only ones in the airport who did offer me that favor, thank you very much I recommend it

The guy at the grill station was extremely rude. Didn’t wait for the complete order and then argued. Rude!

If I evaluate it based on the location (airport), the prices are affordable. the food was fresh and delicious. self-service cafe.

Well, for a light breakfast I like the bread with tuna from this place. The flavor was good and enough to fill your stomach before you do your activities. Great

I think everything is quite pricey and it keeps getting more expensive. Very unfortunate.

It’s been 3 hours and I didn’t get food poisoning. So I get that going for me which is nice. And then: 1st - always check your receipts because they might put something on it which is not even on the menu 2nd - they charge extra 15 cents deposits for any PET bottle that you will never get back which is unfair. They should have just increased the beverage price. Extremely not happy with money spent

“Man man man” would be what Rob Geus would say… The “cook” who prepared my hamburger grabbed the raw meat with his gloves and immediately after throwing it on the plate, he started topping the buns with lettuce etc. Then the next one was person's turn and he took another piece of raw meat and then performed the same ritual again. Two customers after me, he thought, let me wipe my gloves on a dirty dishcloth that was lying around. This really isn't possible. This way you will catch food poisoning in no time. This way you are playing with people's health and that is not possible. The fries that were served with it were still raw. And you pay big money for this.

Outrageous prices. 1 beer and a chicken sandwich 16 euros. And a lot of grumpy staff. Schiphol is ridiculously expensive anyway.

I bought a bottle of green smoothie. It was full of pieces from some plastic packaging inside.

Everything is more expensive at Schiphol, but I thought this small coffee for 3.76 was a lot. For that money you expect a bit of service, but the coffee was waiting for another minute while 3 employees did nothing and the employee who helped me was busy with all kinds of things. Coffee was tasty.

Very expensive, bad food, small plates od food.

Bought a coffee here, paying by cash. Was given 5 Euros note in change, which was taped together. I then decided to buy another coffee for my partner but they initially refused to take the note even though I got it from there! The staff member was rude about it too. Coffee is made in a machine too and was pretty gross. I'll definitely avoid it in future.

All I know is that I got sick after eating here

This morning at 10.15, the croissant dried out, the strawberry pastry base was soft. The tables sticky and full of crumbs. Not one table but all tables were filthy. Unfriendly staff.

Excellent fresh meal at Schiphol

This is the place to be if you want to pay 3 Euro's for a dry croissant that you could use to knock out a grown wwa wrestler with. I don't recommend to eat the croissant, it will upset your stomach and kill your teeth. You could see if dipping it in coffee helps, but their coffee is overpriced as well and quite disgusting. I'd recommend anywhere else really. The staff is nice though.

At half past six no more hamburgers, no mayonnaise either. Unfriendly staff. Don't make any excuses or anything. The quality of la place is deteriorating by leaps and bounds. Steak was like a piece of leather. Overall very disappointing!

Fast food at acceptable prices. Unfortunately, cleanliness is not really guaranteed due to the “mass processing” and many additional restaurants in the dining area.

I was in amsterdam for three days. And I ate at 2 different la place location 7 TIMES in total. It was VERY DELICIOUS!!!👍 I ordered the Cheeseburger with fries the most. I really recommend this restaurant.

Very bad service!! You will be helped at will, very slowly. In addition, all food is provided with a sticker stating that the product has previously been frozen and has now been thawed ready to eat... No more La Place at Schiphol for me!

Expensive and filthy. Nothing else was open. Appalling that the airport makes you pay extortionate prices to eat here. No cleaning staff visible.

Staff mocking customers who can't understand them, staff are immature, inattentive and inefficient. Very slow, which is no good for an airport joint. This points to a bad manager.

Very poor price-quality ratio. For 2 chicken legs you pay 12.50 euros. Although they float in the gravy, they are dry and hard. The wraps are soggy and sparsely filled. Restaurant is very busy and tables are not cleaned so you sit in the dirt of your predecessor. People here really take advantage of the fact that you have little other choice at Schiphol.

If the employee makes a sandwich with a bloody finger and tries to wrap it without paying much attention to the finger, the bells go off. Then coffee that is so hot and tasteless - not used to LaPlace - then I crawl into the pen.

Definitely needs to ad extra stuff on the menu.
