Really delicious food here. First a caprese sandwich and my girlfriend had salmon. Very good. Afterwards a cinnamon bun, truly one of the tastiest ever. Also a nice atmosphere with lovely staff. Recommended on every level

Had never been there before, just dropped in for a cup of coffee to kill some time... I didn't regret it, at least normal coffee instead of that hipster thing with 25 types of milk... Just great black coffee... Nice hospitable service and not unimportant these days, normal prices, in short, recommended

For years the place for delicious, generously topped foccacias, ditto coffee and fresh juices. Go for the homemade tuna salad or the pastrami. I was there again this week and it still tastes exactly the same as it did 10 years ago. Top. Never change a winning concept. Prices commensurate with what you get. In the warmer seasons there is also limited outdoor seating.

One of that best places that you want to come back for a coffee and an delicious free gluten pecan taart.

A cozy cafe that is great for coffee and pastries. The appeltaart is fantastic - a generous portion with large artfully-arranged slices of apples, and isn’t too sweet.

I had heard many good stories about Puccini, and they turned out to be true: delicious sandwiches and good service. The room is very small and there is no coat rack for coats, but I will definitely come back.

Sweet little coffe bar with the best chai latte I’ve ever tasted

Unfortunately, this cute place disappointed me. The little spoon and the plate under my glass were very dirty-used looking. I didn't even use the spoon because of it. Also, I got my latte in a short glass without a handle, so I had to wait for my coffee to cool down a bit because the glass was too hot to touch.

Great place for breakfast or a light meal. Beautiful location in a quiet corner next to the canals just opposite the opera house. Super friendly staff and great coffee!! Extra plus for their great choice of choices with really tasty gluten free bread. Recommend to visit!

What a dramatic service. Mega rude Amsterdam. This was always a favorite place in the neighborhood but has completely lost its soul. Such a shame.

What a deception. It looked so friendly, but the service was very arrogant and impersonal.

On a nice day it’s not easy to get a table but the Chai Latte & Passionfruit Cake are amazing. The staff is nice & the place feels a bit like visiting a friends living room more than a Café.

The fact that I am testing pastrami sandwiches brought me here. In terms of friendliness and service, without a doubt 5 stars. Incredibly friendly lady at the counter. The pastrami itself was of very good quality. However, the sandwich itself was a bit dry and somewhat sparsely filled. A little more pastrami and a good sauce on the bottom of the sandwich (and perhaps a little less dry bread) would definitely be 5 stars for me ❤️

A cozy tent, beautifully situated on the corner near Waterloopplein. It was busy inside and therefore we just had bad luck with our order. It was resolved nicely by not putting our drinks on the bill. The triangle with warm goat cheese was very good!

Short: 1. Best espresso we drank in three days in Amsterdam. 2. The warm cinnamon roll was to die for! Absolutely awesome!! 3. Staff super nice and attentive. 4. Clean sanitary facilities. Compliment. 5. Location good - seating functional. 6. It wasn't expensive. 14 euros for double espresso, cinammon bun and large bottle of water. Recommendation for anyone who likes good, original cafés and delicious baked goods. The only constructive criticism: a glass of water with the double espresso would have been great.

I had only coffee which was really tasty. Place is situated in the narrow Amsterdam picturesque street which gives cozy atmosphere to it. Service was kind and the view on landscape stunning.

The RUDEST owner ever! I got a coffee and the milk tasted rotten, I told them that I have a very sensitive stomach, if they can change it with oat milk. And the women came back and said rudely there is nothing wrong with this milk, I can give you another coffee but you will pay for both. Then she put the milk box on my table very aggressively and said this is the milk we using and left…. Unbelievable attitude and bad service. Dont waste your time there.

Very nicely decorated café right on one of the numerous side canals. We had fresh ginger tea, a latte macchiato and a piece of banana cake here. Everything was very tasty and the staff was friendly too. A good place to take a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the city

UPDATE A YEAR LATER - good as ever! Our home base in Amsterdam. Breakfast - lunch - afternoon break for tea, coffee, dessert, the people who work here - EVERYTHING is perfect. My husband and I are especially fond of the vegetarian sandwich on brown bread. Grilled vegetables, marinated tomatoes, homemade pesto and the bread is delicious, too. One homemade soup each day, always tasty, healthy and filling. Housemade apple pie - currently weekends only. Chocolate cake from Pompadour bakery. More choices available. I'm also a fan of their scones. Sit inside or out, facing the canal. We have come dozens of times and hope for many more visits.

We weren't allowed to stay cause only 2 people of four wanted to have a quick caffe… very rude. But in total a nice caffe with cheap prices. I would have loved to stay.

We used this lovely little place for breakfast each day as it was around the corner from our hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the menu provided us with enough choice, and the atmosphere and decor were warm and embracing. You should visit!

I went here twice during my weekend trip since their apple pie was too good. It was the best one ever. They got good coffee and good salad as well. You will also find their peaceful surroundings and nice servers.

Went back to this lovely place on the last day of '23! Good 2 see that some of the old staff is still there, that keep up the high standards. Excelent service and lovely sandwiches. Nice fresh juices. As always the Roastbeef sandwich and as a dessert the Cinnamonbunn. Topped it of with a sublime espresso.....will be back soon for sure

Very busy as most of the times, I felt pressure in there. The worst of all is that I felt racist vibes because I bought 4 small candles and the indicated price was 6.50 (written) but when the manager behind the bar noticed me changed the price on the spot to 6.75, the waitress said it's their fault but I don't buy it. Negativity and tension in the air of that place. Unpleasant.

Tasty food - but a very VERY limited Italian cuisine. Small bites - that’s it. There is very little room in the place - quite stressful and intimate. If you do not speak Dutch - the staff will probably not understand you; or; really really confuse you / stress you out with confusing grammar etc etc. Like everywhere in the Netherlands - the staff / people here in the shops get VERY rude and arrogant with English speaking people. Disrespectful, considering how much they charge (very very overpriced food for what it is) 3 stars. Need to work on the menu and customer / client liaison I just wanted a simple Italian risotto or pasta and they did not have real Italian food. Just ‘tourist’ Italian food. Find somewhere quiet and independent away from main streets if you want genuine authentic Italian in Amsterdam centre

I felt very lucky when we found this place. It is off the beaten path and not full of loud drinkers. Puccini has indoor and outdoor seating. We set at the "low" table by a giant window overlooking a street, a canal, and a bridge. This was a prime people-watching spot. The service was great. Each tea came with a little milk chocolate. The warm goat cheese sandwich was superb. I had a refreshing green salad with raw and roasted tomatoes, chicken, and creamy dressing. Puccini has many delectable baked goods on display but I was too full!

Excellent cafe, cool vibe, we sat outside enjoying the views of the canal and the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The coffee is perfectly made and is of the right temperature.

Prima Koffieplek in de zon aan druk 'kruispunt' met oke uitzicht (wie heeft er waar voorrang?!) Ook zijn er mooie armbandjes in de zaak verkrijgbaar. Teksten aan de muur motiveren je. Koffie smaakte goed en vriendelijke bediening! Ik kom nog eens. (5€ is voor twee zwarte koffie is tegenwoordig een prima prijs).
