Forgot the sauce and the food is terribly expensive for what you get: battered fish with some fries consisting of a few pieces, 15 each. Better food at the gas station.

Great Dutch brunch with young, friendly staff.

Tasty fresh fish, normal portion, very friendly service, and normal prices; however, the glass on part of the terrace was broken, so it was quite cold to eat outside like that.

The three of us ordered food and drinks outside on the boat. At my request, we had the parasol opened because of the sun. So much for the positives. It took a long time for our order to be taken. The fish stew was tasteless, meager, almost like a soup. The jackfruit stew was also not to our liking and too small. It is a good thing we ordered fries with it, otherwise the meal would have been even more inadequate. The chicken satay was tasty but also meager. The wait staff did not come by again to ask if we were enjoying the food, nor to take another drink order. The price-quality ratio was really not okay. I shared the above with the wait staff as well, to which I only received an 'oh....' response. Very disappointing.

"Bob" didn't seem very enthusiastic and could have earned more from us. If we wanted something to drink, we constantly had to take the initiative ourselves. Not once was anyone asked if everything was okay. Our dinner started with tear-apart bread; after we asked how many rolls there were, we were told it consisted of 8 rolls. With our party, that would be 2 rolls for each of us, and we thought that was enough. So we ordered 1 tear-apart bread. Subsequently, after a long wait, 2 portions of tear-apart bread were served. Which, incidentally, consisted of 7 rolls instead of 8. Somewhat irritated, the already taciturn waiter took the second portion back with him. Tip: repeat what the guests order to avoid misunderstandings. Food okay, but dessert seemed like factory work that still needed to be defrosted, given the time it took before we received it. Cheesecake was lukewarm, probably defrosted just a little too hot in the microwave. Caramel ice cream was vanilla ice cream, with a little caramel sauce on top. Furthermore, the chairs at the table were much higher than the bench opposite, causing half of the people to sit uncomfortably at the table.

Warning, get out of here! The bread of the croquette was moldy and the fried fish was spoiled. That fish also emitted a smell that woke the dead. I even tried to get in touch via the contact form, but apparently the saying holds true: silence implies consent… I woke up the next day with a face like a gym shoe. Still, I’ll end on a positive note: I reached my 10,000-step pedometer mark with a laugh, with trips to the little room….

We had a truly delicious meal here! The food was super tasty, fresh, and prepared with great flavor. The service was also top-notch: everything was brought quickly and the staff was very friendly. The male waiter, in particular, was incredibly nice, kind, and hospitable, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. We will definitely be back here again!

Had lunch through a social deal. A delicious lunch with soup, bread, and pinsa, along with dessert. Everything was truly delicious, especially their homemade bread. The service was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. The location is charmingly situated by the harbor.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary today; there were 20 of us. Despite the large group, the service was still fast. The food was simply delicious again.

We had a wonderful time on the deck of the boat and enjoyed a delicious meal!

I do not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. When placing an order, we asked to clean up a dirty table, although this should happen without a reminder. After that, we waited for the order for more than 1 hour and only after a reminder, having waited another 10-15 minutes, we received the order. Out of three dishes, two were cooked terribly, our child ate the third dish, and we could not finish the other two. People who came after us, managed to place an order, eat and leave before our food was brought to us. All this time, the staff never once asked how we felt about all this. , terrible food and wasted money and time.

My husband ordered the fish of the day, and when the waiter brought mussels, he said, "I had the fish of the day." It turned out to be mussels. But as far as I know, mussels aren't fish, but shellfish. We just left it at that... The restaurant's location is nice, and the rest of the food was okay.

Sadly, not recommended. Today I ordered a burger from Bob & Co, but it was a huge disappointment. We had to wait an hour and a half, and when the food finally arrived, the veggie burger was burnt, the fries were cold, the spring onions were missing, and the whole order was poorly topped – a truly minimal amount of ingredients. The only bright spot of the experience was the girl at the door: super friendly, very cheerful, and genuinely sweet. Shout-out to her; she was the only positive thing about this order. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we cannot recommend Bob & Co. Paid 25 euros for cold fries and a burnt burger💀

Friendly service and a nice place. However, there was a worm in my sandwich. I was sitting with someone else at the time and didn't want to cause any trouble, but of course I didn't eat the sandwich and still paid.

Sehr leckeres Essen, direkt am Fischerkanal in der pittoresken Altstadt von Monnekendam. Personal sehr freundlich, gute Auswahl, Preise moderat. Wir hatten Sparerips, Fisch und Rinderstew, alles war sehr gut!

I want to share my enthusiastic review of this wonderful establishment, which left a lasting impression on me and put a smile on my face for the entire evening. While wandering around Monnikendam and discovering that all the other restaurants had already closed, I was drawn to Bob and Co. Even though the staff was already getting ready to close, I was pleasantly surprised when they took the time to prepare some of the most delicious ribs and fish I have ever tasted in the Netherlands. After I finished my meal, I expressed my delight to the staff, who modestly replied, "You haven't tried all the restaurants in Monnikendam yet." Thank you for giving me such a delightful culinary adventure and filling my evening with positive emotions. I still remember you with a smile, and my stomach is rumbling in anticipation of my return. We came here to eat cod, it's a cool and charming restaurant right by the sea. You can have a meal for 22 euros per person. The prices are reasonable, I'm attaching the list. The cod is very delicious, you should definitely try it.

Delicious food. The best soup I've ever had. Coconut tomato soup. Delicious sandwiches. Very clean place. Friendly service. I'm very satisfied.

Friendly low key local terrace for pub food. Limited clear menu which is great for people like me, one in English, one in dutch. Local people are eating here, nice outdoor seating. Rustic. Not too noisy.

Good food, super friendly staff. We had a lovely lunch on the terrace. The sandwiches were delicious.

Excellent food with a view. We dined here at the recommendation of the hotel where we were staying, and it really wasn't a bad idea; definitely recommended. Above all, the dessert was the Dutch apple pie, which is still made here by the owner's mother using the family recipe and is truly fantastic!

Gisterenmiddag met mijn familie een heerlijke lunch genoten ter gelegenheid van mijn moeders verjaardag. Ikzelf had een glutenvrij en vegan broodje rijkelijk gevuld met avocado en humus. Top! Fijn dus dat die optie er is (van tevoren doorgegeven). Tomaten/kokos soepje ook lekker. We werden heel vriendelijk en fijn geholpen. Gelegen aan het water in het sfeervolle Monnickendam is Bob & Co een echte aanrader en een plek om zeker nog eens terug te komen.

The food is delicious, especially the Tiramisu was delightful. The service is friendly and your food arrives nice and quickly. The only thing that is a bit of a shame is the background music; a kind of Arrow Classic Rock was playing a bit too softly. Upbeat music would create just a little more atmosphere. But otherwise, it is fine.

Beautiful waterfront location, fast service, and a delicious, fresh lunch on a Sunday afternoon in the spring sunshine. We had tomato soup with coconut, a brown salmon roll with cream cheese, and a warm ham roll with mustard. It was delicious and the portions were generous. We also saw some tasty desserts, but we'll save those for another time.

Very friendly service. The coffee was too weak and the supposedly homemade apple pie was a bit stale, watery, and overly sweet. Not a culinary delight. The seating area by the water is lovely, but that's about all the positives I can say...a shame...

We were initially alone in the restaurant. The waiter was at the bar and could hear our conversations. A little more privacy would have been nice. The food was delicious, but not as described on the menu.

We had lunch with our four children during a bike ride, and the welcome was appalling, almost hostile. Minimal service, expensive drinks for the quantity, and frozen nuggets! Only the fries were good. I definitely do not recommend this place.

We had a lovely time for my father's birthday. We had a three-course lunch, with soup to start and ice cream (with sparklers) for dessert. My father didn't like the soup, but they simply served a different soup. The sandwiches were well-filled and the fried eggs looked delicious too. All the salad was fresh. The atmosphere wasn't pushy, and the young man responded quickly whenever we wanted something. All in all, well worth it.

I didn't think it was a cozy place, but the service was fine and friendly. The food was also good; I was there with a Social Deal voucher. It felt more like a glorified snack bar. Which was also located on the other side of the same building.

The restaurant is quite small but does have a large terrace. When we went to eat here there were few guests, so that dampened the atmosphere a bit. I had already read in previous reviews about dishes that were “finished”. We also sold out 2 dishes. Does it seem a bit crazy at 6 p.m. with hardly anyone in the business? The dishes we had were good. The fish and chips in particular were very tasty and they serve delicious fries! All in all we had a great evening.

Schöne Einrichtung. Guter Blick auf den Hafen, auch drinnen. Kleine Karte mit großer Vielfalt. Vegetarisch auch gute Alternativen.

Very slow service not only because of the cookers being turned off due to demand but when normal service was resumed, people arriving after us, were served before us. It would have also helped if one of the staff had a basic understanding of either ed or Eng language. Food wise, the cod and chips was excellent

Went there with my wife on Saturday night. They served me the wrong starter. My wife got some ingredients missing from her starter (no walnuts, no balsamic vinegar). My burger was ok. My wife got food poisoning from the cod and uncooked bacon that was served with it, and she was sick during the night. Poor selection of wines. A disaster from start to finish. Would never go back!

Very good meal but the service and welcome were not great, not very friendly. We had to insist that we could eat at the restaurant. We showed up with people with disabilities and the waiters did not help us set up the tables on the terrace.

We were there to eat very comfortably. We ordered some very good toast and croquettes but the typical things are mussels (freshly caught) and fish with potatoes. Not a bad price (for Holland). I totally recommend it

Ate there 3 days ago at a nice location on the water, nice food but the service was not very friendly and very curt, that was the older guy but the younger boy was nice, unfortunately I won't eat there again next time.

We enjoyed our lunch here so much we went back for dinner! Really nice menu that suited our children as well as tasty choices for adults - highly recommend the cheese croquettes and the french fries are amazing! Would say it's one of the more affordably priced options in the area too. Lovely location by the water, and some tables on the deck of the boat which is a beautifully sunny spot. The service was fantastic too. Our waiter was great and made us feel very welcome. Best family option in Monickendam as far as we're concerned 🙂

Tijdens onze lunch hoorde we het personeel klanten dom noemen omdat ze op de verkeerde plaats zaten. Ook was de stoofvlees van het patatje stoofvlees zuur van smaak en werd bij het neerzetten van een glas met heet water gemorst over ons en niet opgemerkt door het personeel.

Food was tasty but the wait was long. Start clearing the table without asking if we were done. Brought new drinks without first clearing previous glasses, etc

Disastrous service. An hour after ordering, our 3 children had nothing to eat All the other guests did, even though they came much later. No apologies, just rude statements and lies. Never go there again. A very bad flagship for a tourist resort.

Nos hemos decantado por el pescado para compartir, una tosta de carpaccio y las croquetas tipicas del pais. Waited 15 minutes to order. When we thought it was our turn, the boy walked away and never came back. We did that too. So can't rate the food. Service and appearance. It looks terribly worn. Look closely and you will see the difference as well as regular maintenance. The air conditioning remote control: nice. The sumup ATM: filthy. Floors: ditto. Side of fryer: congealed fat and not just a little!. Ceiling, floors . Just no attention to details. Feels like staying along is one-eyed king.

Never eat here with a wonder box. Bought a wonder box for 3 courses plus bread board in advance for 79.90. But people say very nicely, no, you can just order food and we will deduct it from the amount of 79.90. And if you then indicate no, I have paid for a 3 course plus bread platter in advance, you will get the answer. If you look carefully at the prices, it is not possible for that amount. Well, sorry, but that's not my problem, you make that deal at Wonderbox and then I just want it too. Bottom line, I never had my bread board and only ordered 2 extra cokes and had to pay almost 12 euros extra for 2 cokes. Never again for me
