He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Jose has that rare mix of professionalism and personality he made us feel like valued guests while also adding a personal touch that made the evening fun and memorable. The food was already fantastic, but Jose’s outstanding service elevated everything to another level. If you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your server, you’re in for an amazing experience!

We've been coming here for 20 years and it's fantastic! The food is so incredibly delicious, no other restaurant can match it. What's also so nice is that when you order a glass of wine, they fill it generously, and the staff are so kind and attentive. A uniquely atmospheric tapas restaurant nestled among the cars and boats in a small harbor, the service is very friendly and the owner very hospitable. Thanks to his Uruguayan roots, Los Del Puerto put the chivito on the map, both here and in the Netherlands. The chivito is a beef burger with ham, cheese, tomato, and egg served with fries, and Monnickendam is the only place in the area—and perhaps even in the Netherlands—where you can find it. Aside from that, it's highly recommended!

A repeat visitor - Always a festive, great spot, offering outstanding service & excellent tapas, and thus always enjoyable & entertaining, with the only possible gripe being the large assortment & quality of tapas forcing you to order & enjoy ever more, (notwithstanding the subsequent liquid intake increase too), and thus always a more expensive visit that you'd anticipate 😂!

Beautiful quiet location in the harbor of historic Monnickendam, where you look out over the beautiful ships with lots of greenery around you, spacious terrace and also tables on the quay.

We love it! Family owned and attended, food is great, fun vibe and very personalized, we could see that most of the guests were regular and friends with the owners, totally recommend!

Thanks to the delicious sangria, the perfect calamaris, the spicy salads, the tasty gambas and the excellent chickens, we imagined ourselves on the Spanish coast for a moment...

Los Del Puerto, a restaurant that will keep you coming back! Because it feels like home. The atmosphere is nice, the food is delicious and the people are hospitable. I enjoy it every time I come there. They know who you are and you feel so welcome. They are also super sweet and hospitable to children. If you are in Monnickendam, definitely have a bite to eat there. Are they on vacation? Then you just miss it and you're happy when they're open again.

It is a nice little restaurant with friendly service. The bread that is put on the table without being asked will be added to the bill later. The leg of lamb turns out to be about ten pieces of lamb from the frying pan where you would expect a stewed leg in, for example, your own gravy. Other than that it was fine.

Fun place on the water...great service

The only thing better than the food at this place is the service. This has the looks and feels of a family operated business. You won't be disappointed. We spend a week here and, by coincedence, ate here our first evening. We visited different cities, different restaurants and decided to spend our last evening here. Sitting here now,writing this review, perhaps we should have visited in between too. 6 stars if available. Absolutely wonderfull!

The food was super delicious and authentic, even a simple dish like the bread with Aioli was amazing and I highly recommend the Galician Octopus! Also probably the best service I’ve ever got in the Netherlands! A must try when you visit Monnickendam!

We had a fantastic dinner here last night. The waiter was so helpful, cheerful and fun. Food was prompt and delicious, and they bagged up what we could not eat for us to take home. A really special experience !

Very good food with a large selection, a spirited host and a beautiful location right next to a small harbor, where you can also find parking spaces. The atmosphere fits well with a tapas bar, not too fancy but cozy.

Nice restaurant right at the harbor. The food tastes good. There are several types of beer, one type freshly tapped, which is very tasty. I can understand why there are 10 tapas for 2 (€70) if there are two of you... but not for 3 or 4. However, if 4 people want this as a basis and also order 5-6 other tapas dishes, I think I refused to serve this a bit inflexibly. The clams didn't really impress me, but okay. What I recommend is the tuna.

Los Del Puerto is a restaurant with Spanish tapas in a special 'José style', located on the Haringburgwal in Monnickendam. The quality of the various tapas consumed was more than excellent. Be surprised by a mixto Los Del Puerto. The only downside was the speed with which the tapas were served to the table. It was a bit too high. After more than an hour, the entire table was already full of the mixto dishes.

Amazing, cozy tapas place right by the water. The food was fantastic as was the service. They're dog friendly as well, and our dog was very appreciative of the sardine bones 😀. I highly recommend this place, and a visit to Monnickendam!

Hemos estado cenando esta noche. El dueño Jose María encantador y simpatiquísimo. El atún estaba espectacular, ya hacía tiempo que no comía un atún tan tierno y bueno. Y los mejillones con tomate, buenísimos y picantitos. Hemos cenado de maravilla y el ambiente acogedor, y muy cercano. Volveremos. Sin dudarlo

Een heerlijke plek om van het Spaanse eten te genieten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel Vader en zoon.

Helemaal top! Heerlijk eten, goede service en gezellige sfeer, familierestaurant. Niet goedkoop maar wel waar voor je geld. Het enige minpuntje is het toilet boven en met een spierziekte is dat moeilijk (beugel in toilet zou ook prettig zijn!).

Super freundliche und witzige Bedienung, direkt zum englischen gewechselt und uns deutsche Karten gebracht. Die Tapas sind zwar etwas teuer, wurden aber schnell gebracht und haben toll geschmeckt. Beim Nachtisch kam eine extra Kugel Eis für die dritte Person dazu und am Ende gab’s sogar noch einen Lutscher. Gerne wieder!!

Absolut zu empfehlen, das Essen sowie der Service waren wirklich sehr zu empfehlen, wir hatten nach einem Restaurant in der Nähe unseres Ferienhauses gesucht und sind dann durch die positiven Bewertungen hierher gestoßen und wurden ebenfalls nicht enttäuscht.

Bij binnenkomst voel je je gelijk welkom! De eigenaar ontvangt je op een vriendelijke manier en het restaurant heeft een prettige sfeer. Wij zaten op de eerste verdieping met een grote groep en dat is ideaal omdat je wat "besloten" zit. We hadden diverse koude en warme tapas besteld en deze waren allemaal goed van smaak. Vooral de kroketjes (vis en ham), kip in tomatensaus en de gamba's in knoflook vielen erg in de smaak maar ook de andere tapas waren erg lekker. Het was onze eerste kennismaking met Los del Puerto en het is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!

goed tapas restaurant met zeer vriendelijk personeel estupendo! met een groep op de bovenverdieping vh restaurant in soort privé setting heerlijk gegeten we hadden warme en koude tapas gekozen en alles was erg lekker, vooral de kip in tomatensaus, gambas in knoflookolie en kroketjes vielen goed in de smaak. typische Spaanse gerechten met voor ieder wat wils! de eigenaar was super vriendelijk en heeft op een prettige manier leuk contact met zijn klanten kortom: wat ons betreft zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!

El pueblo es muy bonito, no fué difícil aparcar. El local es muy acogedor, la comida está buenísima y el precio yo diría q es bajo en comparación con los restaurantes de alrededor. El personal nos trató fantásticamente. Se lo recomendaría a todo aquel que tenga ganas de unas buenas tapas españolas.

Superlekker gegeten. Dat de porties te klein zouden zijn, klopt absoluut niet ! Ik denk dat die persoon het begrip " tapas" niet kende. Porties waren zeker groot genoeg.
