Super friendly service from a tall woman with long hair! And the food was delicious :-) Definitely recommended.

The coffee was delicious, but my chicken mustard sandwich was truly awful. I don't often write negative reviews, but I'm writing this one in the hopes that the feedback will be helpful. The sandwich had so much mustard it felt like a whole jar had been poured over it, and the chicken was nowhere to be found and was completely mixed in. So you couldn't even remove the mustard yourself... it was so spicy that I had to stop eating several times and drag it towards my nose. It's a shame, because the bread itself was deliciously crispy. I would recommend putting more chicken or vegetables on the sandwich and a lot less mustard.

It's a real shame that the selection is declining and that we'll soon have nothing left. Restrooms only for staff? Where can customers go to the restroom? The EXki staff will happily direct you to the restroom in the IJpassage. Where you have to pay for a restroom visit again. Besides, you're not going to leave the restaurant if you haven't finished your meal.

I asked the guy with a butterfly tattoo on his neck if there was milk in the hot chocolate, because I'm intolerant. He rudely replied, "Of course there's milk in hot chocolate. Have you ever seen a hot chocolate without milk?" I didn't want to believe it. Did he really answer me like that? Maybe the guy doesn't know that 1. intolerances exist, 2. there are hot chocolates without milk, 3. there are different types of milk, like soy, rice, oat... Maybe he should learn the theory of the profession before dedicating himself to the practice.

Good coffee, good prices, and comfortable seating. Quite unusual for a station.

A good place for an international and even Dutch breakfast. The croissants and various pastries are delicious, and the coffee is excellent. The staff is very friendly, and some even speak Italian. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the view of the river is spectacular.

I met my friend here for lunch and oh, what deliciousness! The quiche was thick and flavourful, fresh mint tea is my favourite and there were so many more things I didn’t have room to try! The staff were lovely, friend and cheerful! The only downside is it is self service that doesn’t work if you use a wheelchair.

Cheap, feels like a supermarket (mostly pre prepared ) specialiced for a little quick snack (pastry, fruits , dessert) and drinks of all sorts. Not to bad for a quick or long sit/waiteeting with only a simple cheapish consumption.

Ordered four coffees. Two very rude ladies acted as if we weren't welcome. We wanted to drink coffee there, but a man behind the bar told the ladies to serve the coffee in mugs instead of cups. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a bit odd, because other customers were getting cups. Then I tried to pay cash, but that wasn't allowed. That was fine, but a customer after us was allowed to pay. It was all very strange.

Terrible service. The girl who served us was very rude. She responded rudely and insultingly to all the customers while we were there having breakfast. The chocolate cake was delicious. The coffee was average.

Located at the station, it's busy. You can get various lunch/breakfast options, such as soup, sandwiches, and pastries. The prices are quite high, as this seems like one of the many "trendy" places. For example, a pastel de nata (small Portuguese pastry) costs 4 euros... 4... where you pay 1 or 2 euros elsewhere. The sandwiches are pre-packaged but tasty and reasonably fresh. I didn't try the soup, but it looked good. The coffee is also good, but a bit more expensive than elsewhere.

I love coming to Exki and always feel happy when I see Shilan at work. She passionately prepares my coffee and takes the time for a friendly chat.

Delicious coffee. The cake came out of the fridge and was delicious. The tables were dirty.

My son and I stopped here for a break. He wasn’t feeling well, and they went above and beyond to help us, and kept an eye on him while I went to retrieve our luggage from our hotel. The cappuccino was perfect. So very grateful for such warmth and kindness to strangers!

The girl with the black hair that did our coffee was so rude. We ordered for two large Americano and she told us that she already has given us the second large coffee even tho she gave us a regular one. She never admited it and was very rude about it.

I was looking to spend a couple of hours before a train and it was perfect. The prices seemed pretty good to me, you choose what you want and pay for it, without any surprises at the end. The taste was very good, portions adequate and the staff was very friendly and gracious.

I had an incident. It was 7 pm when I placed coffee order for 4 people. As we wanted to spend a good time after a long day , my wife asked a coffee lady to give the coffee in the cutlery cups and not in paper cups. The coffee lady said very rudely," are you going to clean the cutlery cups?". My wife froze. She still asked if it's possible to give the coffee in the cups. The coffee lady again said, " Tell me if you are going to wash the cutlery, then I will give the cutlery". This is extremely rude. If there are timing constraints, one can say it's store closing time. Although there was 1 whole hour to store close, still the coffee lady chose to handle this request in such a rude way. In nut shell: 1. Worst experience from the lady. 2. Our experience and wish to have a good time was ruined. 3. We don't pay to get insulted but the service or food order that we want.

Received a bowl that was a day too old today. „Te gebruiken tot …“ means „edible before …“. Really easy concept, yet apparently not easy to grasp for the people working today. Only found out once I‘d taken it home. The bowl smelled and tasted like it was a lot more than just a single day past its best-before. Cauliflower is not supposed to taste fermented unless you set out to make fermented/pickles cauliflower, for goodness sake. I doubt the one bite I took would be enough to make me sick, but you never know 🙄 I can bring this bowl by tomorrow in case you don‘t believe me, Exki. That way you can smell it yourself. That is, if your rude employee decides to hear it.

Pretty decent coffee and matcha (actual matcha, no sugary powder mix) last time I had a drink there. As a matter of fact, I just might go and get a matcha there tonight 🍵 Also a great place to go pick up Too Good to Go, depending on who’s working that night. The food is pretty good, lots and lots of vegetables and not more expensive than other restaurants. I like the attitude of most employees here. I really have nothing negative to bring up about this place 🤷‍♂️

Needed a place to work while waiting for a colleague to handle a meeting before we flew back to the UK. Chilled place, food and coffee were great! Butterfly Guy prepared this oat milk masterpiece and was very hospitable.

Very bad treatment from the woman who makes the coffee. They should teach her not to be rude to customers in case there is any misunderstanding. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone coming to Amsterdam Central Station.

Delicious food and drinks. Comfortable place at the central station. There are electrical outlets and a beautiful view over the river 'het 'ij' There is no toilet, which is a shame. And the staff is usually not very friendly, but it depends on who is there. I find the level of friendliness of the staff very important, which is why I only give it 2 stars.

Place is ok. We ordered Coffee Americano and Latte Macchiato, they both tasted super bitter and watery.. you’ll feel you’re drinking burnt coal soaked in boiled water. Service is absolutely trash. The barista talked to us as if he was on his period. Never come back again to such a café. I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Quiches are very good in themselves, but €6.50 might be a bit much. Otherwise it's quite nice.

Yesterday i went there to grab a quick coffee while i was on my way to work. The brunette girl making coffee was very rude and didnt know the basics of hospitality. Also the coffee was too watery and didnt had much taste. The place good from outside, but once u go inside it has a lot of problem

This place has the best coffee of the Amsterdam train station, but unfortunately also slow service. I would recommend the management to train the staff better on time management. After all, you are located in a train station where every minute counts. The person taking my order went on a break, in stead of helping the other colleague to make the coffees at the 2nd machine. Although I paid, I had to leave the venue after waiting 5 minutes, without my espresso, to catch my train.

We got some iced coffee. Unfortunately, we thought it would be latte macchiato iced as we asked, but we got plain coffee instead and this was way too bitter even with the 5 packs of sugar we had in it. I eventually went back to get some milk as they didn't have it out and the employee was kind enough to give me some. The milk definitely made it better, but the coffee was definitely not how we expected it to be. Exki is located in the station near the entrance to the train and under the busses. There is also a bathroom nearby, the store itself doesn't have one.

Food is quite tasty, but the sandwiches are really sparsely filled 🥲. Food + drinks easily cost more than 10 euros per person.

I ordered a coffee on rocks and it was to awful. Dispit the high price that I have paid for my drink, It looked super cheap and I didn’t even get anything to seal it from the top. I did not even get a straw.

Absolutely horrible system to serve the coffee. They just ask what you want then ask you to wait with a bunch of people on the side to be served. Problem is that they don’t ask to form a queue, show a receipt, or give your name. It’s just a free for all and you have to fight others who asked for the same drink as you, regardless of who actually came in first. The person serving the coffee was also quite rude to a lady who asked about her order and then made fun of her later with her coworker. I saw the whole thing going down since I’m writing this while still waiting on my drink as I’m sure an old lady took mine. Please change this way of ordering as it’s clearly not working at all and it just stresses everyone unnecessarily.

EXKI is a convenient place where you can have meetings. You can get delicious coffee and treats like breakfast, muffins, and juices.We have made it our regular biweekly meeting spot. Simply because it is convenient for both of us, and we no longer have to leave the station to look for a suitable cafe.

Best cappuccino there is in Amsterdam. Tasty special snacks, vegetarian and with meat. Quiche with spinach cheese, a kind of pie with/without meat, a kind of calzone pizza, pumpkin and carrot soups and cold sandwiches such as caprese. Ginger and mint tea. These are the tastiest things. Went here whilst waiting for my train, and was very disappointed by the coffee they served, for both me and my friend. The food was okay at best, a bit stale and dry, but edible. If the coffee didn’t taste burnt, and if the frappe actually tasted like a frappe I’d be satisfied. Very disappointed also by the service of the staff, everyone seemed so bleak! The atmosphere was the best part, great lighting and warm in-door dining.

I recommend this place for quick meals between trips. They have several options (hot or cold) with good prices for Amsterdam. The staff was kind. The food is tasty, and it's great to have healthy alternatives! The views were great, too!

We entered the restaurant and... nothing happened. The employees did not bother to look at us or respond to us. So we went elsewhere. I also point out that their answer in the comments about the toilets that they "are not allowed to install" seems false to me: other restaurants in the station have them!

I already knew Exki from Belgium and I have also eaten there in The Hague. Surprising and healthy range of delicious meals, snacks, desserts and drinks. The restaurant is located at the station. Ideal for quickly picking up something and eating it on the train. Since I had a long train ride ahead of me, I took a quiche, chicken poke bowl and a piece of banana pie. Very tasty! The banana cake is my favorite and super creamy. The rest also tasted good and nice and fresh. Not cheap but definitely worth it for the quality.

I paid 5.50- for a frappe, and the cashier did not say the word how much was it and thank you. Not smiling at all. not encouraging to spend more money. What do they think of. I have come here many times for snacks, lunch and drinks. Bad hospital attitude. The “boss” he is chastising one of his crew in front of customers in the middle of operation. Bad sphere. It’s just conveniences people use this store, otherwise nothing. Shame on the great brand value of Exki. And frappe was not really a frappe, it was just iced latte. They can improve the quality of service.

Tasty things to eat. Today a cappuccino that was not properly made, lukewarm and with a lot of milk in it without a foam layer, so it's more like the coffee you get at your grandma's. I got a new one where the other employee properly instructed the other employee how to make a cappuccino. Minus point on 24-12 quite loud disco music, really too loud. Would have liked some Christmas-like atmosphere music.

Their food is amazing! No comments on that. But the way they make matcha is really a disappointment. They put the powder in a jug with milk and heat it on the milk throther on the coffee machine until it is too hot to drink for the next half hour. When matcha is prepared this way it loses all its benefits, becomes too hot, it has a bad taste, and it is basically for throwing away, and all that for 4,70, a waste of money.
