What a lovely restaurant! The staff is truly amazing and makes it a very fun and cozy experience. The food was really super good, mostly fried food of course, but truly an outstanding "snack bar"! We will definitely be back next year, making it our annual outing from now on!! Even though there was a line stretching outside the restaurant, you were absolutely not rushed to get to the next customers!! Really great!!♡

The food is good, though pricey. They are very eager, too eager, to clear your table.

Barneveld is famous for poultry so we need to try the chicken burger and hot wings. The wings are good but the burger needs more vegetables. Service is helpful and friendly.

Price/quality/quantity not to our satisfaction. Back when we went to school here, this was a fast food restaurant. Now anything but fast. Also, it absolutely did not taste like it did back then.

Mega busy due to the Barneveld Days, so it was busy outside on the terrace and inside as well. We had ordered food and drinks; I was finished and a friend of mine was still eating. The young man came over to us and asked, "Do you want anything else after this, coffee/tea or dessert?" To which we replied, "No thanks." The young man said he would come and settle the bill in a moment, while my friend was still eating. Two minutes later, he came to make us pay while she was still sitting there eating. We felt like we were being stared at; this was very unpleasant and certainly not customer-oriented. The staff were shouting at each other that the food or ice cream had to be served.

Very bad, never again. People better go to Het Ei, old and trusted, treated very poorly, quality is deteriorating rapidly and unfriendly owner that rubs off on the staff, chicken pieces mixed with old and new chicken pieces, fries that have been reheated multiple times. It was quiet in the place when I arrived but still had to wait 45 minutes for food, it wasn't served but just thrown on the table, unfriendly. Never again, and then they even ask if it tasted good, bad bad, bad. It couldn't be worse.. keep being bad, absolutely no hygiene.

Nasty place to go; their Barnie Burger is tasty, but otherwise don't dare ask the staff anything, because then the supervisors will show up, and you wouldn't even want to run into them on their best day; really a shame.

The soft serve ice cream tasted delicious. Even though it was already quite late, just after nine, we were served in a friendly manner.

The chicken fillets were tender, but very salty. The salad was very tasty. A major downside,......a staff member suddenly appears at the table to say that it is time to pay. Very strange, just as if you have to leave.

Enjoy delicious food! It's not just chicken. You can dine inside or outside. The service is very friendly. You can also pick up food.

After ordering 2 menus and half a chicken, we received 4 drumsticks, of which 1 was fresh, while the other 3 were dried out and reheated in fat. When I mentioned it, the staff member was very irritated. A shame.

Scored a great Social Deal. An Asian chicken sandwich with Karaage chicken and an ice cream later in the day. This sandwich had nice crispy chicken and satay sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was a bit too sweet for me personally, but the sandwich itself tasted good. The ice cream – the sticky stroopwafel – was super tasty! A generous portion that could have been a bit smaller as far as I'm concerned, but the taste was very good. Finally, I would like to thank Jasper for the super friendly service!

Deliciously good fast food and a cozy restaurant. The food is fresh and of good quality... a real feast in the heart of Barneveld. My favorite: the Barnieburger.....mmmmh

An eatery for people with mediocre taste buds. They don't even have pepper available to add any flavor. The kids' menu is actually quite good, though, with a Barnieburger, and the drawer with toys is a real magnet for children! The karage is fine but not authentic, and the chipotle is only there to color the mayo. The chicken smashburger looks tasty but is quite bland; unfortunately, the wedges were undercooked. The premium cheeseburger is awful; you only taste the overpowering Dutch sweet and sour pickles instead of a juicy beef patty with cheddar cheese. Also, the bun is bigger than the burger it's supposed to hold, which is truly pathetic! In short, fine for a kids' menu and a fried piece of chicken, but otherwise, don't go there!

We sat down with somewhat high expectations. Service was top-notch, the atmosphere was cozy, and there were lovely pictures of delicious food everywhere. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and salad. It was quite a disappointment; what we got was a small burger (the size of the cheapest burger from a well-known chain) with a thin slice of chicken and sparse toppings. The fries were not nice and crispy and not fully cooked. The salad was actually the best part. I think there is more potential here 😃

It was very quiet, but still a terribly long wait. They didn't listen well to my order, I got the wrong drink, and then waited an hour without any food, while others who ordered later got it sooner... wanted to pay for drinks and then suddenly showed up with the food... This was a one-time thing and never again.

Since 1983, the Barnie Burger is and remains my favorite.

Had a simple lunch with the kids. First, the downsides. I think that for a family restaurant, you could perhaps make a bit more of an effort for the kids; there are nice things on the regular menu, but the kids are quickly headed for fries with chicken nuggets and/or a frikadel again. Also, drinks like chocolate milk and apple juice are all quite standard, unfortunately; it could be a bit more exciting in my opinion. One of the kids had a cheeseburger, which they were very satisfied with. Personally, I didn't think it looked appealing; it looked like a McDonald's bargain, but my daughter was enthusiastic about the taste. I had the chicken mix myself; the chicken was well-cooked, everything was well-seasoned, tasted nice and fresh, and certainly wasn't dry. However, everything was a bit on the meager and small side. We have half chickens in The Hague too, and those are definitely a lot bigger 😉. The food prices are certainly reasonable, but I find the drinks way too expensive and, in my opinion, unnecessary. €3.25 for a small bottle of drink, is that really necessary?

Delicious food, friendly staff.

This was a restaurant I went to on a recommendation during my visit to the Netherlands. The menu mainly consists of chicken dishes. Because it was busy in the evening, we waited about 15-20 minutes to get a table. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and helpful. The service was fast when our orders arrived. The food was good, but I think there are better places for chicken in Turkey. The atmosphere was very pleasant and enjoyable. Overall, we were satisfied and would choose to go again.

Good chicken, always a friendly owner

The food was delicious, the chicken was tender and the dough was crispy. The salad was fresh. The crispy wedges were delicious. The Barnie's sauce is highly recommended! Only the berry milkshake didn't taste like berry, but like vanilla. The service could have been better. They brought the wrong drink twice, and they forgot the cutlery. But the food is definitely worth repeating; that old colonel with the big mustache could learn a thing or two from him :)

Nowadays, there are very long waiting times for pickup, and on top of that, the order is incorrect. Why choose a pickup time if it ends up being 15 minutes later? Half of it is sitting there getting cold, and then you have to wait for just one more product. This used to go better, a few months ago.

Well, the KFC in Barneveld. Plenty of choices for everything with chicken. Delicious, and the fries are excellent. Cheap? No, unfortunately, you pay almost restaurant prices here, but to me, it's more like a fast-food restaurant.

Do you prefer gnawing on bones, bites, burgers, and croquettes with fries, or do you prefer a meal you eat with a knife and fork? And all of that with chicken, of course! Unless you're vegetarian, of course, in which case they also have several chickenless options. But hey, why would you go to a chicken restaurant and not eat chicken? All chicken dishes—and there are quite a few—are highly recommended.

It was a surprise for us. Instead of just ordering fries, we were given a table when we indicated we wanted to eat them there – great customer loyalty! We also ordered a few beers and something other than just a long loaf or fries. I thought the chicken was very good and saved it for last; it was deliciously tender. I also really enjoyed helping two other guests next to us, one of whom couldn't have milk. If I ever find myself in Barneveld again, I will definitely visit this place again if time permits.

Not a bad place for a snack bar, friendly service, spacious layout, and lots of chicken snacks. Normal prices and just good. Not suitable for your Christmas dinner 🤪

TIP!!! Always check your order when it's ready!!! Nine times out of 10, something is missing. How hard can it be?! Anyway... So save yourself the frustration and disappointment when you find out at home.

We visited for the first time last week, and what a pleasant surprise! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt friendly and homey. The staff greeted us warmly, enthusiastically explained the daily menus, and genuinely took their time.

Coffee from a regular coffee machine. The coffee tastes terrible. The "uitsmijter" looks cheap and doesn't have much flavor, just like the "chicken" cheeseburger. The cheeseburger tastes the same as McDonald's.

I picked up a family box of 12 chicken pieces (three half chickens). What a surprise when I got home: more than half were dry breast and wings! Apparently, "half chicken" is now code for "what was left." I understand you're not allowed to choose, but a fairer distribution of the selection—four chicken pieces per half chicken—would be more appropriate. Don't the staff see what they put in the bag? And have the chickens shrunk? The two drumsticks I received looked like they were from a spring chicken. What a shame! This used to be the best and tastiest in Barneveld, which I gladly drove miles for.

Incredibly poor service. I called for pickup and was able to pick it up after 20 minutes. Once I arrived, I had to wait another 15 minutes for soggy fries and soggy chicken. Not recommended.

Just went there to get some food. And asked for a chicken burger well…. This is what I got. It’s just scandalous, I have no words for this. Shameful

We ordered a crispy chicken burger and two fried chicken pieces, and they were delicious. They also have a lovely, spacious patio.

I think I forgot to place my order. I waited 45 minutes before finally asking where it was. Previous times, things were forgotten too.

The flavor is beyond compare. The halal chicken was cooked to perfection. We didn't dislike any of the various dishes. Our order was taken a little late, but it was complete.

Now, I understand that it's difficult to find good staff. And also that it's extra busy in this area these days. Holiday season, Veluwe days. But still... There were definitely a number of people behind the counter. There was no sign of any management or structure. It almost felt chaotic. This, combined with the mediocre food. You'd expect a bit more quality in Barneveld, the chicken village of the Netherlands. Tough and dry... Even worse than your average KFC. That's quite impressive in itself. The price-quality ratio was completely out of whack.

Bad service from a bunch of teenagers. The wait was way too long. Portions were small, we didn't get any cutlery, and drinks came after the food. Bad, bad!

We eat here regularly. Always friendly service and delicious dishes for hot to cold! definitely a kiple recommendation if you are in Barneveld and of course want to taste good chicken!

I went here tonight with my girlfriend to have a nice meal... or so we thought. In the end it was one big disappointment. We had ordered food and drinks. The drinks came quickly, but when we asked after 40 minutes where our food was, the girl said: "I don't know how long it will take. We had a lot of receipts at the same time". Then we waited another fifteen minutes, after which my girlfriend ordered an extra beer. This also didn't come. After fifteen minutes my girlfriend went inside to ask where the beer was. The girl then suddenly brought the beer quickly. We immediately asked her again where our food was. The same story: it had been very busy. Shortly afterwards a male employee came to us and he just looked at us questioningly. My girlfriend said: "Don't you have to tell us something"? Then he said that there had been a printer failure. We were kept quiet with the story that it wouldn't be long now. Waiting again. I then decided to call the waitress to pay for the drinks only. The girl then said hastily: "The food is ready now. If you want, you can eat it now". I said to her: "If it's ready now, okay". But no food came at all. Food was only brought to people who had arrived later than us. Finally, when we wanted to leave, the same man came back and said to us: "I found your receipt". He wanted to check the order with us again. This was the last straw for us. We got up and the man said: "It's fine". Well, that wasn't it at all. What a lousy service. We waited 75 minutes for our food and got nothing. Only empty promises and lies. The staff should be ashamed of themselves for treating customers like this. Communication also 0.0.

We have taken away food. Our complaint is the change of the satay sauce. What bad, sour and unnatural taste. So products in itself ok but not with satay sauce.

The personnel don't know how to properly serve. In principle you should not be asking for everything that you should receive as a standard practice. Asked for the table cleaned, asked to receive fork and knife, asked for napkins, etc etc. + Do not go for the menu option, for a small pack french fries and a decent salad they charge extra 6 euros.

Delicious food, great restaurant for years

Wait at least 30 to 45 minutes for your order, poor service, people walk past you as if you were not there. Clearing tables and cleaning them is also not an option. Never again.

Tasty, varied chicken dishes. Spacious terrace, but you can also sit comfortably inside. We come here often and enjoy it! Friendly employees and the price is not too bad. You can make it as expensive as you want.

I have been coming here for quite some time and I have noticed that changes have been happening about 2 months now. Half a chicken tastes different and the portion has become smaller while the price has risen. Chicken burgers sauce has also been halved while full pound is charged, salads have become smaller, fries are not fried properly. I understand that as a company you have to make good turnover and try to save costs on several points, but I think it's a shame that your taste and quality are deteriorating. I think it's a shame and hope that they can go back to the old familiar recipes and portions as before.

Unfortunately, when you are alone, you are overlooked. It has also been noticed that taking orders takes a very long time anyway. Too bad, I had good experiences before, but apparently it is too busy to provide good service. Ultimately left without ordering.

The food is just delicious, but the service is so bad every time. Even if it is busy, even if it is quiet, the service is still terrible. They make teenage girls work who don't want to look at you. I asked for a 2nd plate, they spontaneously forgot. When you ask for something they forget. I still had 4 chicken pieces left so I asked if this could be wrapped. Does madam teenager arrive with a bag and dump it on my table? Food is good but the service is really crap. I'm still in the restaurant as I type this.

The quality of the food and chicken varies enormously here. The service also totally depends on the person. There were still 4 old chicken pieces, so I asked for half of my chicken order to be supplemented with a freshly fried batch, but that was not possible because “everyone wants that”. Yes, that's right, that's what they want, that's why a new batch is baked throughout the day, because people want nice, fresh chicken. So the blonde (by-marriage?) owner wanted to sell me old chicken at all costs. He also just had a discussion with me in front of everyone. Then she had the wrong one in front of her so I gave her what she asked for: a 10 minute discussion. Because I no longer had an appetite for her food, I asked for a voucher because the payment had already been made. She writes out a coupon for half the amount. So she is just as bad at customer service and proper business operations as she is at issuing correct vouchers. The thing is that (fortunately) she is not in the shop every day, otherwise I would never come here again. It's really not possible to be so customer-unfriendly and argumentative.
