Those guys named Vinnie and Mounir are truly top-notch staff. They're very polite and genuinely interact with the customers. You don't feel like you're just here for a bite to eat, but rather that you're made to feel welcome.

Phills is great. These guys are very sociable and care about the less fortunate in the city. They're always treated respectfully and are friendly. They're multilingual. I give them a 10. As a homeless person, I've never been treated like a third-class citizen.

Good, but too expensive for what it is. Worth trying. We were able to eat there upon arrival.

There was one tomato on my hamburger bun, while the picture showed two. We were being watched while ordering from the do-it-yourself machine. There's very little seating. The chairs are hard.

The food is good, but not the best. I've been living in the area for three years, and this is my first experience with a burger joint without napkins to wipe yourself down with. It's hilarious, and the staff is super rude. They had paper towels, but only for the staff, not for the customers. Meh.

Everything I want from a smashburger! Meat and cheese are the heroes, mininmal garnish just to cut through the dairy and beef. Don't expect a gourmet style burger. This sandwich is wider than it is tall. Macdonalds style self-service ordering screen. Grab your order from the counter vibe. Minimal seating inside. More seating outside under umbrellas

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The tables were literally falling apart. The burgers were way too expensive for the quality, and the cheese fries had no cheesy taste at all.

I never had a bad experience at Far Phill's with the food, I absolutely love it! However, for this particular restaurant, there's quite limited indoor seating, so mostly people sit on the outdoor area, which, as per Amesterdam's standard, can get quite windy! So just be aware of that and be ready to hold on to your napkins as you eat! Other than that, just a bit if a wait, which is never a big deal if the food is good!

Yesterday I placed an order that was supposed to be delivered within fifteen minutes. However, I ended up waiting over an hour. Part of my order was also missing, and I received a cheaper item (standard fries instead of the loaded tater tots). To make matters worse, the food was completely cold.

Vegans, take note! Just traveled an hour for the Fat Phills experience. When we paid, they came to us because they said they were out of vegan patties. Then there was no way to get my money back?! And strange that I could order from the board, right? The manager said he'd text his buddy, but then you can't call them, and they ignore their emails.

Super tasty, great music, treat it like a restaurant, not fast food, so the wait time is really reasonable. Good, friendly service. Highly recommended because they're also in your neighborhood. They have 22 locations.

usual tiktok scam: it’s advertised to be a very good place, but the food is actually trash. the philly cheese steak is uneatable (gummy bread filled with really bad quality cheese and no meat at all) as the cheese fries (same problem with the cheese). really mid chicken tenders and cheeseburger. wouldn’t recommend at all also because of the price (two people €45)

The burger was really wild, but I'd recommend getting a double cheeseburger because they're smashed, which makes the meat stand out better. It was a bit chaotic in the shop, with only two employees for 10 customers. We still got our food relatively quickly. 👍🏼 All in all, a great burger place, but maybe they should hire more staff.

Ordered tonight on Uber Eats. 3 different drivers went to try and pick up my order. The staff was there and told the drivers they were closed and not making food. Online and on Uber eats it says they are open until 22:00. I ordered at 21:05. This is unacceptable and I will never try to eat here again and will make sure everyone knows how poorly this place is run!!!! I highly recommend you find somewhere else for food!

The Guys are so rude and close 30 mins before closing time and as well acting so rude

The food was okay for fast food. The service was terrible, very unpleasant. On top of that, an employee simply threw a rat that was outside into the trash can (alive). It wasn't particularly clean either.

The food itself was delicious, but you couldn't sit outside properly because all the tables and chairs were either dirty or nearly broken. The atmosphere wasn't great because both employees were watching TikTok and football at full volume next to us. We paid €50 for two people, which I don't think was worth it.

Very tasty food!!! In the center of Amsterdam it’s hard to find actual good food spots. The burgers that they make here are phenomenal, and don’t get me started on the loaded fries, they are the best! I come here often not only because the food is good, but also because the service is excellent. I always get greeted with a smile and asked about how I enjoyed the meal. I would very much so recommend this place if you’re looking for some good food!

Fat Phill’s on Geelvincksteeg is a really nice, cozy place, exactly as you would expect in Amsterdam. It is a bit hidden, but that makes it cozy and atmospheric. My favorite is without a doubt the Double Cheeseburger, super juicy and well-seasoned. The Nashville Hot Chicken is also really delicious if you like a bit of spice. And the Fat Phill’s Sauce is also surprisingly tasty. Everything is fresh and well-prepared, you can taste that attention has been paid to it. It is just a nice place to sit, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Perfect if you feel like good comfort food in a nice central location. 5/5 – I will definitely come back here more often

The deposit was 2 hours late, the food was cold, the packaging was broken, was delivered in a garbage bag and it was the wrong order. Also the restaurant number is not the one I use.

Dont ever get the Philly cheese steak sandwich and the buffalo fries. The sandwich is so inconvenient to eat, you literally eat cheese sauce with bread instead of sandwich with cheese sauce. The buffalo fries also has the same problem.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've come across in a while ('Bunsen' 🇮🇪 holds the number one spot in Europe for me!) The atmosphere is casual, and the service was good. This particular branch is in a popular area so it was enjoyable to sit outside and people watch 👁️ The menu is varied, but not excessively. The burger was cooked well, and offered a juicy flavour. The bun was toasted and warm, along with freshly shredded lettuce and tomatoe. The burger was freshly prepared so it tasted GREAT! All other foods were good, but the burger takes top spot! I will return 🍔

It was okay, nothing special. Tasted good but not amazing, and I wouldn’t come back for it. Probably over hyped - there’s a lot of better options available in the nearby area.

I just went out for dinner with friends. We found this place to eat via TikTok and it seemed nice to eat. We all ordered, I was one of the first to order. Eventually all my friends had finished their food and mine still hadn't arrived. I asked where my food was and it turned out that it wasn't in the system, but I had paid. I showed him my bank statement to show that I had paid. In the end I got my food a lot later while I wanted to eat with my friends. I paid €21 for a burger and fries and it took way too long before I got it. And not even an apology.

Great set up, tucked away down the back streets so worth a visit. Right by the iconic tulip market along the canal. Amazing food, order by screen which is handy. So relaxed. Order food, take a pager, take a seat and get ready for a taste explosion.

Fat Phill’s Diner serves lovely quality food, you order at a screen inside the restaurant and get a queue buzzer system. Take out and eat in available. However, there is limited indoor seating area, but there is a larger outdoor dining area with umbrellas available too. We sat outside and it was very busy - limited seating, had to ask to take the odd unused chairs from other tables. Weather was cold and windy, which did impact the enjoyment of the meal but other than that, it was great! First time visiting whilst on holiday in Amsterdam - great place to go to for some assured quality food.

Too expensive for what it is. No place to eat inside. Or you have to accept that everyone who will come, order, wait will be right next to you. The products are correct but much too expensive for the quality/price ratio. 4/5€ less per product would already be more acceptable.

Two small sandwiches (not hot), a slice of fries and two drinks for €40, way too expensive for what it is, not worth the cost! Disappointed..

Spent 45 euros only to have both get diarrhea. 2 burgers dirty, bare & cold and a little bit of fries. But it was ready within 5 minutes. I don't recommend it unless you want loesbere (diarrhea)

The specialty at more than 13€ was inedible: the supposedly shredded meat was hard and elastic As for the cheeseburger, don't expect the slightest emotion of taste pleasure (too salty, the bread was so-so) If you're lucky, you might even have hair like our table neighbors did. Enjoy your meal 🤮

I visited Fat Phill’s in Amsterdam twice. The food was actually good, and the first guy who helped me — the one with curly hair — was really nice and welcoming. He made a great impression, and honestly, he’s the reason I came back a second time. However, the second time I was served by a different staff member with blonde hair, and the experience was completely different. He was rude, stingy, and straight up refused to give me salt at first. When he finally agreed, he told another staff member to give me very little salt — and that’s exactly what I got. It felt almost petty. Considering I spent over 100 euros on two visits, the least I expect is to be treated respectfully and to be given a basic thing like salt without attitude. That second staff member was extremely unfriendly and really ruined the vibe. A shame, because the first guy did a great job.

We stopped off here for a quick bite to eat. It was pretty busy, there is a small seating area inside and larger terrace outside. There are self service checkouts for you to order and when we visited there were two chefs in the background cooking and serving. We had a chicken burger and chips, it was nothing to scream and shout about but it filled us up for a couple of hours.

Everything was perfect: the taste, the texture, the presentation. Even the piece of paper and the tray felt like an extra experience. This is how a citizen should be. Add a cold bottle of water and you're all set. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff friendly.

Uber Eats Order was way too expensive for what it was. Beef Burgers were good, but not a real Smashburger in my opinion and nothing special. Chicken Burger was very good. Cheesy and Crispy(!) Cheesy bacon Fries were really bad, standard wrinkle cut deepfrozen stuff. Bacon wasn‘t anything near crispy, no seasoning, cheese sauce was bold. and really small portions. Especially bad for 8,25€ for Cheese and 12,25€ for Bacon.

Canceling my ubereats order twice & charging me for it. Never order here!!!
