Great food. If you want a solid cheat day meal, this is the place to visit. The portions are strong and the flavors are great. It is not the healthiest option, but the taste makes it worth it. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable for what you get. The fries were good but could use a bit more time for extra crisp since they were soft. The meat and the burger were very well prepared and tasted great.

Perfect food and perfect peoples working here

The burger and fries were great and well packaged. Only the coleslaw (see photo) in such a small container for €4 is absolutely ridiculous, so that was a real shame.

The food was great! It's very quiet there during the week, which is nice. The menus are a bit on the expensive side, though.

They just do whatever they want. Order a vanilla shake, get a strawberry shake. They claim it's the same. It was really hard to get through to those guys. The food was impossible to judge. It's like they're afraid to announce they're out of vanilla.

Delicious burgers! We lucked out with a set: cheeseburger, fries, and a drink of your choice, plus two sauces (all included). Very friendly service, the beef was perfectly cooked, and the buttery bun literally melted in your mouth! I recommend it! P.S. Really large portions!

We ordered through Uber Eats and spend over €61,18 for really low quality food. The single burger and nashville hot chicken burger was not tasty. Also barbeque chicken tasted dry. Its always a dissapointment to spend money on food that turnes out to be bad/not tasty.

What a fantastic place! Fat Phil's in Hilversum is a true gem for lovers of hearty, flavorful burgers. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The Double Cheese Burger was incredibly delicious: perfectly grilled, juicy meat with a crispy edge, melting cheese, and a delicious sauce that brought everything together. The service was super friendly and attentive. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. In short: if you're in Hilversum and craving a good burger, I definitely recommend Fat Phil's.

I came with mywife and kid, menu have lots of burger options. Staff was very friendly and helpful, service is fast. We loved the burgers and fries. Fresh lemonade was good and tasty. Definitely we will come when we want to eat burger.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant via uber eats. After 1,25 hour later they cancel my order. I don’t know why. Estimated delivery time was changing in every 5 minutes while waiting the order. My kids were asking where the food? Now the time is 21:30. What should I do for the kids? It’s absolutely unprofessional!

Today, on a weekday, we walked past Fat Phills in Hilversum to get something to eat. We previously had a good experience at Amstelstation in Amsterdam and it was really tasty there! The concept is so good that I was curious about the founder of Fat Phills. Since we had to wait while our food was prepared, I looked for the story behind it and I find it incredibly motivating, tough and daring from such a young entrepreneur. He appears to be very successful and I just give him credit! However, I am extremely disappointed with the food in this branch in Hilversum Center. We had sweet potato fries, the Big belly burger, Philly Cheesesteak Fries and the Lemon Pepper wings. paid approx. €50. Waited about 15 minutes for our food. The food was served lukewarm/cold, but we were hungry, so we let it slide. I started on my cheesesteak fries, the fries were too cold, rock hard and soaked in oil. Two tines of my forks broke off - The quality is lower for the plastic forks anyway. It looked like it had been fried in old oil. - The Lemon pepper wings: also served cold and lay in a base of butter with lemon flavor. Not to be eaten. - The burger was also cold and not special.. Overpriced. Basic. Also paid for so just eaten. Because of the enormous disappointment, I walked to the counter/kitchen to show the Cheese fries and to everyone's surprise, the employee was simply crouching next to the white chest of drawers, smoking. What do you mean you smoke in the kitchen where food is prepared? And to top it all off, prepare food again without washing your hands? No, this was the last straw. And reason enough for a review. And not to come back. This review is intended to be constructive: if this had been my chain, I would also have wanted to know what happens behind the scenes. This causes you to lose customers. - As a tip, I would purchase high chairs and a children's menu. + The only plus was that he was willing to make a new cheese steak.

The burgers are good, but inconsistent. Sometimes they are much better than other days. Their sauce choice is limited, no sauces that you would normally expect such as curry, sweet chilled or sriracha mayo. The cheese they put on their burgers is bottom of the barrel, if you like American melting pot this is the place to go.

Really really good burgers, freshly made and piping hot. Had the fried chicken burger and it was a LOT of eating, with oozy cheese and hot sauce. Food brought to our table and it was well made and put together right too. The best fast casual burger I have had in a while.

So to be honest, we expected more from Fat Phill's. The shop is sporadically furnished and unfortunately seemed a bit dingy. There doesn't seem to be much emphasis on external representation. Too bad. What was noticeable was that the two big burger chains in the immediate vicinity were both very busy, and Fat Phill's was dead. That made us a bit suspicious. The food was freshly prepared and was of good quality and taste. Visually you could get a little more out of it. The Philly Cheese sandwich was particularly delicious. Even though it was visually the weakest. Conclusion: You can do it, but you don't have to.

Philly cheesesteak is so so so bad. Had a slight sweet Asian flavor to it? The bread was soft yet impossible to pull apart/chew. Partner said the bun on his burger was also bad bread. I also bit down on a piece of bone. Threw most of my sandwich in the trash. Shame!

This was without a doubt one of the best burgers I've had. However, I personally thought the chicken burger for the price of €9 was a bit basic. Besides the chicken burger, sauce and some onions, there were little to no toppings on the chicken burger. I now paid €12 for the chicken burger with mac 'n cheese, which is a nice price, but I personally wouldn't pay the full price very quickly, I expect just a little more for that. Furthermore, great and friendly staff!

Coleslaw 4 euros for such a small bowl (see photo). Philly cheese steak sandwich: bread too soft, old and soggy. Loaded fries: OK, but 12 euros for a large portion of fries with 1/2 liter of sauces is too much. Meaty madness buger: awesome!!!

We went to Fat Phills and absolutely loved it! The burgers are by far the best we have ever eaten, juicy, perfectly seasoned and topped with high quality ingredients. The service was also first class. There was really cool music playing, which made the atmosphere even more relaxed. Fat Phills is definitely a must if you like really good burgers. We'll definitely be back!

Terrible place, the Mac n cheese is disgusting and the hamburger is dry the Oreo milkshake is just vanilla weird milkshake the service was very slow and not well if I could put 0 stars I will do that but I can't I'm very disappointed from this place, don't go!!!!

We decided to order via Uber Eats. What an underwhelming and disappointing dinner. The mac n cheese tastes sour and is very spicy. The steak roll is inedible, the meat is gross and certainly does not look like the picture on the website. Very very disappointing to say the least.

Super tasty burgers, even after a 15+ minute drive home, they weren't soggy! I am also a huge fan of the waffle fries, they are wonderfully crispy. Plus a friendly owner/employee!

Great place with very tasty burgers. Around closing time, when everything was already closed, we were still hungry and hoping for something simple like fries. Instead, we were allowed to sit down and choose a burger, which was freshly prepared for us late that evening. If I could have given that boy 6 stars I would have. Delicious and super customer friendly!

I am a regular customer of the fatphills in amsterdam, this fatphills in hilversum does not taste anywhere near as good as the one in amsterdam. Burger is dry, tastes like goatmeat, the burger is also skinnier then the fatphills in amsterdam. Service was fine, very kind guy but the the food was simply said nasty.

This is just very bad… Burgers came flattened with too much sauce and unrecognizable vegetables inside. Ok, it was clear from the beginning , that it’s a fast food, but didn’t think it will be so disappointing…

AVOID!!! Terrible food, worst burgers I've ever eaten. Plus sweet potato fries dripping with grease. We wanted to order regular fries with one burger, but the Lord told us that they only have sweet potatoes 🤦‍♀️ We couldn't swallow anything by the end of the day, our stomachs were so bad. First time in my life I threw my order away. The food was really disgusting. I had to go to the bathroom after ten minutes I had my first bites and it was even more unpleasant than the food.

My wife and I had the truffle burger and cheese and bacon burger, super juicey and tastey with perfect amount of flavour, awesome portion size and fresh garnishing ingredients with awesome sauces. Well worth it if you are craving a juicey burger in a cool atmosphere.

We enjoyed our dinner yesterday. The staff was pleasant and they provided excellent service. Though it was busy but the food was delicious. The steak sandwich melts in the mouth, soft bread and juicy kalf meat. I strongly recommend this restaurant

Cozy place, nice and modern, lots of interesting burgers and sandwiches on the menu. I wish they delivered to me too, but it's a good reason to go to Hilversum. Better than Five Guys and every other burger place around.

The spicy chicken sandwich was very tasty. The fries were well seasoned and there were plenty of them. Pictured was 15.25 euro; overall a pretty good value for money. Would go again.

The Philly Cheese-steak Sandwich that I got from you on 11.03.2024 is extremely horrible. I don’t think it can be any worse than that. The bread used for the sandwich was probably frozen for longer period and unfrozen at high temperature which caused the sandwich to fall apart like smoothie. The meat was very bad as well under cooked. Definitely not ordering again, and I advise the people to save their money and chose other option if they want to be satisfied with the food. Definitely the worst food in town!! I request full refund without any compensation for my wasted money…

Tried 3 different burgers; the cheeseburger, the chicken burger and the truffle burger. We spent over 50 euros for 3 burgers, a side and fries. Not a single sandwich was special. Buns were soft and not crispy. You shouldn't be able to eat a 15 euro burger in 4-5 bites. I expected a new Diego burgers in Hilversum but it is more the quality of a local snack bar. Not to be repeated.

Vega cheeseburger met frietjes besteld. Goede burger, niet droog zoals bij veel andere plekken. Iets te veel zout op de frietjes maar wel lekker knapperig en stevig. Kom zeker nog een keer terug.

Ik maak zelf graag smashed burgers, dus dacht loop eens binnen. Bij dit soort burger draait het om de karamelisatie van het vlees. Dit was moeilijk te vinden, plancha te koud misschien? Verder ongeinspireerde saus en beleg, te weinig zout. Wel goed heet en goed ingepakt. Dit maakte me dus niet warm. Paar simpele aanpassingen en deze burger verdient ruim 4 sterren.

Super lief personeel. Lekker warm en vers gegeten. De mozzarella sticks waren heaven!

I think the food is really good and has potential but they drown it in Phil sauce too much that you can’t taste the food, if they give light sauce it’ll be much better! My fries were over cooked and super hard and crunchy, and the ranch doesn’t taste like real American ranch (I am American) but the service was really good, everyone was nice and the place has some real potential!!!
