A treatment not worthy of McDonalds.

Especially during busy times, they can't handle it very well. Even when your song is "ready," you often have to wait a long time. During quieter periods during the week, it's fine.

Ordered 2 menus from the drive had to wait 10 minutes which is okay but not great. Took it home and discovered someone already ate from the McCrispy…..

A very special atmosphere. We came here in the evening, but I wouldn't recommend it again. The staff seem distracted and in absolutely no hurry, and they get irritated easily. The food was fine for a McDonald's.

Always dirty, nothing gets cleaned. The food isn't hot. And orders are never correct. Rude staff.

I'm always hesitant to give a bad review, but this one really needs to be reviewed. I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat at the drive-through before an appointment, and I waited over 30 minutes for my order. The cheeseburger was cold, and because it took so long, I barely had time to eat my fries to get to my appointment on time. I'll never do this again. Evaluate your work processes, because something's wrong there! Too bad for the young people who work there, because they'll have to deal with grumpy customers on a regular basis...

I've been waiting an hour for my food. They're not very fast... and then I'm served cold, disgusting fries. I don't recommend this place.

1 star. Worthless. The tables were dirty, no Dutch was spoken when ordering, and the order took 25 minutes. Very expensive for a fast-food chain.

We had to wait quite a while at the drive-thru before we were helped. That's not so bad. But when we finally got our food, it was cold to lukewarm (burgers, nuggets). Not as it should be. The staff was otherwise friendly. The trash can outside was full. We couldn't get anything else in.

Received old and cold cheeseburgers. Dry and lukewarm, the cheese had already gone cold. I did get new ones, but they weren't warm enough either. Not freshly made. Such a shame!

Review: McDonald's – Disappointing experience with rising prices and shrinkflation I ate at McDonald's again after a long time, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The prices have gone up considerably, and you get less and less in return. The fish fillet (Filet-O-Fish) was noticeably small – a clear example of shrinkflation. For what you pay, you expect a decent portion. In addition, the whole experience felt a bit lacking in atmosphere and rushed. The food was okay, but not the quality and quantity you used to be used to. I hadn't been there in a while, and after this experience, it will probably be a long time before I go back. McDonald's now feels more premium in price, but not in what you get in return.

Standard McDonald's, nothing more, nothing less. Ordering food was a bit difficult last time. (I never order with a kiosk.) Otherwise, they always delivered what I asked for, and the food was never cold in the restaurant. Areas for improvement: try to keep everything neat and clean, including the trash cans. Also, be careful when someone wants to order at the counter; I sometimes have to wait, which isn't pleasant. I never go there during peak hours, by the way. Update: September 11th around 2:45 PM, I was helped quickly, paid cash, a clean place, and a warm Big Mac. Great, and thank you. Update: September 23rd around 5:30 PM, also perfect again. I ate in the restaurant. But the trash cans were full! Staff should do something about it; keep an eye on your trash cans. Update: November 16th around 4:15 PM. This time I didn't eat in the restaurant and ate the Big Mac in the car on the way. It was hot and tasty, but it was gone too quickly. :-) Also delivered very quickly this time. Tip, go outside rush hours.

My brother got seven chicken nuggets when he only ordered six! They were fresh, too. Must have been his lucky day.

He stood in the drive-thru for over half an hour for one cheeseburger. It's not working.

What a nightmare. We've been waiting 35 minutes for our order. The staff keeps touching their faces and then back to their food. There's no oversight at all, and everyone just runs around in a jumble. They're real amateurs.

The most aggressive woman who takes your order is not at all hospitable

The cook was licking his fingers while cooking. We also waited 20 minutes for our food. The person who packed everything was extremely slow. The food was cold and poorly packaged.

Tried again a year later, no improvement unfortunately. It was not busy at all. Took 15 minutes for our order, it was not complete. Had to ask twice for the missing item. The Korean burger had almost no sauce on it. All the tables were dirty. Better go to another one.

Waited half an hour in the McDonald's drive-thru, even though it wasn't that busy. The service was mediocre, and the food wasn't that good either. I don't recommend this McDonald's.

Everything about this McDonald's is terrible. It takes ages, the food is inedible, and the staff is completely clueless. I say make it a Burger King.

This McDonald's is absolutely filthy. ALL the trash cans are overflowing, food is everywhere on the tables, and the floor is so greasy (and dangerous) that it's a skating rink. McDonald's should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

Never go here!!!!!! We wanted to grab a quick bite, but ended up waiting half an hour for our food. We ordered a strawberry milkshake but got a vanilla one. When we pointed this out to the staff, they reacted grumpily. We waited ten minutes at the counter with zero communication about the promised milkshake. For dessert, we decided to order a McFlurry—biggest mistake! We waited half an hour for a McFlurry and ended up leaving without a McFlurry and without a refund. There were several other customers waiting at the counter who had also been waiting for their orders for 45 minutes, and they weren't contacted. Again, don't go here!!!

Waiting for my food for 45 minutes. No fast-paced team here. I've never waited so long for a Big Mac.

Although we have plenty of modern payment options these days, I find it downright unprofessional that a brand like McDonald's no longer offers change in its stores. This effectively forces customers to top up their order to a round amount of €20. You'd expect an international brand to accept both debit and cash payments. This policy is unfriendly to customers and damages McDonald's reputation.

Nearly swallowed another Egg McMuffin. Maybe check if people can count before hiring them, Mr. Franchisee. Then I have to wait fifteen minutes before I finally get the sandwich, while the rest of the food gets cold.

Great food but a very boring interior

It's getting worse and worse...long waits, and then you finally get your food, half your order is missing, not even a toy with the Happy Meal. That makes me unhappy! I'm never going back!

It's always such a mess here. There's always something wrong with an order, and the wait at the service desk takes so long that everything else is cold and your guests have already finished eating. And this isn't a recent phenomenon.

What a terrible place! I don't write reviews often, but this one deserves one! The restaurant is completely filthy, the staff is slow, the staff is inattentive, and they leave you standing at the counter. They tell you they're out of toilet paper, and then nothing is done, leaving the customer to carry the toilet paper to the restroom themselves. The food was mediocre, and the chicken nuggets were so white I couldn't bear to eat any more. Not recommended!

I don't write reviews often, but this McDonald's truly deserves the worst award. The staff doesn't speak Dutch, they've already gotten my order wrong twice, and they don't make the burger properly! They forget the sauce on the burger; I've already had two buns with a dry burger on them twice. Very disappointing, especially with these prices. I've decided never, ever to go to this McDonald's again. I hope I'm warning people in time!

Got the wrong food 3 times in a row

The food was good, the burger came with an extra wrap. When folded, everything stays in place, making it very enjoyable to eat!

The food at McDonald's Hilversum (Vreelandseweg) is great: just familiar!🍔🍟 The service in the drive-thru, on the other hand, could definitely be better. Employees often sound disinterested and are barely audible. When you finally get your order, it's often a surprise. Something is always missing, or you get the wrong one. Ordered a vanilla milkshake? Chances are you'll get a strawberry one 🥤 My tip: pull over and check your order. You'll often find something is missing again. It's a shame, because the food itself is simply good 🍟

The drive-thru is absolutely awful. It's the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I've been waiting for 25 minutes. The person taking orders is also working in the kitchen... I'd say there's a bit of a staff shortage. But that's always the case at this McDonald's.

Sunday, September 7, 2025, I waited 54 minutes for 3 McFlurries! What a mess. No staff, no service, worst McDonald's experience ever!

What a disaster at McDonald's Hilversum. The staff barely speaks Dutch, looks at you grumpily as if you're interrupting them, and then everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong. I order a drink with sugar, and then I'm given the wrong, unflavored version. Then I order a strawberry shake, get vanilla in my hands, and they blithely claim it's strawberry. Well, that shake was whiter than the plaster in the back of my van – who are you kidding? The staff's attitude is subpar, completely lacking in customer service, and you're left feeling like you're in the wrong. This is by far the worst McDonald's experience I've had in the entire Netherlands. And then having to pay the full price for something I didn't order. Unbelievable. Never again in Hilversum, what a disgrace.

Ordered a double quarter pounder menu with a coke and fries sauce, now explaining my order took 10 minutes because the man barely spoke Dutch then I could pay and I got my order and that was a coke zero with a normal quarter pounder but paid for a double and when I asked if you could exchange it, they reacted very angry and grumpy as if I was lying, well I will never come here again the worst service I have ever experienced here in Hilversum yuck

Terrible and rude staff, taking orders is a matter of huffing and puffing. They can't even say a word. And preparing the correct order is also impossible here. You always get the wrong thing, things are missing, and the portions are incredibly small. In a word: DRAMATIC. Go to the local snack bar instead!

Always have to wait a long time, both when ordering and waiting for the order to arrive. The "call center" isn't very friendly. "Order?" Or what do you want? I don't think that's fair. I've had two instances where there weren't enough nuggets in the box.

Received another incomplete order today. This time, half an order is missing, and when I call them, they hang up on me! Ridiculous!

It was my favorite until the tide turned. 2 stars Minus one for that girl behind the counter A subtle anecdote: It turned out to be part of my morning routine; brush my teeth, shower, walk through Kerkeland Park, and then… with a big, radiant smile, an unavoidable look that the sun couldn't stand. I was raring to go, physically and mentally. The mucus seemed to fall from my mouth, just by walking in. There… at McDonald's. But everything changed. The sun disappeared. Thunder crashed. A darkness cursed the entire place, and me along with it. A body. A figure. I'd rather not name names, but it started with M and ended with Organ. Yes, you, yes, Morgan. Yes, I'd rather not say her name because these days it's just so hard to get out of my waffle. NOT for GDPR reasons. It's rare for my mood to suddenly take such a turn. And my day is brought to an end. There's not a single part of her body that doesn't irritate me to the core. Not to be whiny, of course, but from head to toe, unbearable. Otherwise, a top-notch place :)

I'm allowed a large hamburger once a month, otherwise I'm not vegan enough, of course. I get it at McDonald's because it's the same everywhere. And again now. At the end of the heatwave, so with a soft drink. The order was announced a bit too enthusiastically, and it wasn't as busy as in a city. It gave me a nice space on the patio. It was great at the end of a long drive.

Just placed an order. Got a Mc Chicken instead of a Big Mac. Charged twice for sauces that weren't included. Cold fries. It's too far to drive back, but I'm not happy!

A place you won't miss; it was good, but it's getting worse and dirtier. It's a miracle you can communicate with the staff; none of them speak Dutch.

I waited 20 minutes for my order even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The staff were disinterested. At some point, my order would disappear from the system but wouldn't show up under "ready." The order wasn't complete either. A real disappointment, and not worthy of McDonald's.

Been there twice in a relatively short period, both through the drive-thru. First time it was busy but nothing too special, although we stood in line for about 10-15 Minutes. Two days ago i went there again and it took me 35-40 Minutes (in a row of 7 cars) to get to the thing to give your order. When i finally arrived at the counter window i could see she was running the place ALONE. That's something nobody should have to do... In total it took me 50 Minutes before my food was there, and she got my order wrong too (missing a sandwhich) In both times they would either not understand Dutch at all, or hardly understand English. McDonalds i would consider A: Hiring more people and B: Maybe hire people who understand you properly?....

Not busy at all, but horrible condition of the restaurant - see pictures. The pictures were taken on a Tuesday at 9pm.

What a terrible mess. I think there were five tables with no leftover food. The staff was very inattentive. I ordered table service... it never arrived... they should have thrown it away... And it was slow, even though hardly anyone was inside. 9 p.m. on Tuesday... I'd ask the manager on duty to find a job elsewhere.

We had to wait for an awfully long time. The tables were full of rubbish, because the bins were full. A case of staff shortage. But we did pay 40 euros. Not a good mac. We will drive past from now on. Oh yes, limp fries, half-filled wraps and a milkshake cup that had been there for a while... the cardboard felt limp. This is really a bad thing. What a shame

You order hot and cold things. You see that your ice cream is ready before the rest has even swum in the oil... when you pick up your order your ice cream is mush. After a report, we had little time for new ice cream, the staff still pulls their heads up and turns away. Too bad.

Whenever I go to McDonalds Vreelandseweg I easily stand in line for an hour. Previously the drive through went right through but since the past few months it seriously takes 5-10 minutes per car just at the order post. Ridiculous.

Terrible service. At 8pm the frappé and milkshake machine had already been cleaned so we were not allowed to order that anymore and the fries, burgers and wrap were ice cold and tough. Almost half an hour to get the order and it came incorrect. Reviewed June 25. This place is chaos. Ordering machines dont work. Lack paper so you dont get a receipt. The screens dont show order status. You can easily spend 45 minutes waiting for your order... very often these come wrong. Run. Don't come.

Food itself is fine, it's McD - you know what to expect. But when my partner wanted to get a cup of coffee later she was mainly looked at and not helped at the desk. A bit sad.

What A Chaos ;) You don't expect it from Mac but the kids want something too :)
