I was here in the evening; apart from a few young people sitting there (who weren't eating), there was actually no one. I ordered one burger and had to wait 45 minutes for it. Also, the kids were vaping and I don't know what else. After that, I ordered a McFlurry, and there was basically absolutely nothing in it.

Terrible service. It feels like the staff never double-check orders. Almost every time I visit this restaurant, something is missing from my order. Today we ordered two chicken salads. When we got home and opened the boxes, we found only lettuce leaves and a few pieces of tomato inside. There was no chicken or any of the other ingredients. Essentially, we paid for two empty salads. The most frustrating part is that we discovered the mistake only after getting home, so there was no way to return and have the order corrected. This situation is completely unacceptable. I’m very disappointed that mistakes like this keep happening. I hope management pays closer attention to order accuracy and staff quality control.

Far too little staff: hardly anything is cleaned up and there is no table service.

The restaurant is very dirty and the waiting time is far too long. Moreover, they regularly forget part of your order. Not recommended.

Standard McDonald's taste, strategic location. Cons: 1. Pay-to-use restrooms. 2. Employees don't check customer numbers when picking up food, so sometimes customers get the wrong order.

It looks like some kind of community center. Young people are sitting inside vaping without having ordered anything at all. They just have their own soft drinks with them.

It was too crowded and there was hardly any place to eat, and the food was completely covered in oil with a hair on it, and they were quite aggressive.

I asked twice, just to be sure, if my burger was the vegetarian option. Both times I was told yes. I took a bite: chicken. Do not eat here if you are a vegetarian or have allergies: the staff cannot be trusted.

Don't go there. I ordered one cheeseburger and it took 50 minutes for it to be ready. And it was completely ruined. Bad service.

It's still a McDonald's, but they still have cheeseburgers, no toilet paper, very filthy, a euro for the toilet, and absolutely no facilities. I say skip this place, plenty of other options. One thing was funny though, it was just like being back in Russia again; it's just as filthy there. So no homesickness.

Incompetent Fries decent, nuggets ok, ordered 4 burgers - received 3 - all cold. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately not the first time, but sometimes you still fall for it... be smart = make a different choice!

Vaping kids in McDonald's and nothing is being done about it. We waited an hour for our food. The order didn't go through or something. And they didn't do anything about it. The toilet paper was out of stock in every restroom and the restroom isn't maintained either (there was vomit but it wasn't cleaned up). I have never had such a bad experience with McDonald's. Oh right, so we did eventually get our order, but a few things still weren't right. Thank you for this bad experience, you ruined my whole evening! 👎

They don't put paper on the Double Big Testi. The Big Mac falls apart, there's too much sauce. The wait is very long.

I have never experienced such a bad McDonald's! It started right away during the ordering process, where an employee didn't understand me at all! Eventually, they charged me the wrong amount, and I had to explain again what I *did* want, not what she had noted down! The lady in question gave me a hard time and didn't understand me one bit. The food was cold, there was hair in my food, and the dining area was really filthy too. The McDonald's has gone downhill badly over the years, so it is such a terrible shame.

Ordered at 8:30 PM and then it was cancelled at 10:30 PM. Terribly unprofessional and no apology either. I am never going here again!

Terrible place. After consuming 5 large soft drinks, they refused to let us use the restroom. They wanted to pay extra!

Well, McDonald's has done a terrible job again. I was just enjoying my meal when suddenly someone walked in with a smoking joint, and no one did anything about it. At one point, an employee finally approached the man, but not to ask him to leave the restaurant, but to ask if he could also smoke a joint. 🤯🤯 I immediately got up and went home. I will NEVER go to the McDonald's in the center of Hilversum again. The food wasn't great either. 2⭐️⭐️

My boyfriend and I wanted to grab a quick bite. Unfortunately, that wasn't quick. We waited a total of 45 minutes. There were also a bunch of loitering teenagers inside, shouting insults involving diseases and vaping. A really awful atmosphere. They also forgot the sauces.

Young people vaping inside, groups of young people with fat bikes outside. They walk in shouting and don't order anything. A leak from the ceiling left two tables soaking wet. Trash cans overflowing and not emptied. Tables were dirty. The food was okay, but the ordering system was wrong. The number had long since been removed from the plate and the announcements were unclear. The food hadn't even been called out and had been ready for five minutes.

The food was horrible they don’t put salt in it. Also they forgot to give me the water for which I paid 4 euros. There was the rat inside during the meal I would not recommend this place at all!!! The rat actually was the best thing about this place

Order placed on Uber Eats, half of the order was forgotten and the little that was sent had errors. Incompetent or dyslexic team, we'll never know.

One star is still too much! Not clean, dirty toilet, no toilet paper, and cold food. The excuse was, "It's busy." Never again!

Food cold, long wait and no Dutch

Young people smell strongly of weed, shout, and sit on the table as if they were at home. It's no longer fun to eat here.

Terrible drinks. They mix everything with sparkling water. Even ice tea. Sorry, but for that kind of money they ask, I’d like to have a normal drink with my food. Manager never have time to help if you got questions. Co-workers do not speak nor Dutch or English. I asked once green Ice tea, they told me they have it, but then they gave me Coca-cola. Serious? I really do not understand what is wrong with this McDonald’s. Sparkling Ice tea is the most disgusting thing I ever drank. Came here one more time again later and there was no French fries! How is it possible that McDonald’s doesn’t have French fries?! And as always, nobody of the workers here wear hats protecting food from their hair. Still the worst McDonald’s ever

If I could give 0 stars, I would. What happened to this McDonald's? The staff is grumpy and communication is difficult, the place is filthy and rarely cleaned, and the trash bins are so full they're overflowing. The food has also gone downhill; you only get half of what you order. What a dissapointment. It's a shame this is the only fast-food restaurant in the city center. I would have preferred Burger King because it's absolutely 100% terrible.

Today, after a long time away, I was back at the McDonald's in the city center. While I used to enjoy this branch so much, the quality has plummeted. The fries were ice cold, making eating the fries unbearable, the cheese on the burgers looked expired and even more plasticky than before, and we waited fifteen minutes for a woman to clean my table because a previous customer had left all her (used) baby wipes there. Shame on you, McDonald's!

What a pathetic little shop. It's old, dirty, and cluttered; the moment you walk in, you know exactly what I mean. And what I find absolutely ridiculous is that you have to pay €1 for the restroom. I thought restaurants were required to have restrooms. And they're not so cheap that they need that euro. Two people, two menus: €26.

Please hire people who can actually keep the place clean instead of looking at their phones

I quickly ate inside for the first time in years. What a depressing experience. The atmosphere feels less welcoming than a hospital emergency room. Dirty tables, loud rap music. I'm not really the target audience anymore, as someone over 30, but I've rarely eaten faster because I was so eager to get out. The only reason I stayed was because it was raining heavily outside, but in hindsight, eating outside in the rain would have been more comfortable and enjoyable.

Worst McDonald's in the Netherlands. Ordering takeout? Always check your order! It's NEVER complete.

Staff tries hard, but for "fast food" it still takes a bit too long.

They don't clean here very often. It's absolutely filthy everywhere. Also, I've been here twice in the past few months, and both times my order was completely wrong. Today I got cheese snacks instead of chicken nuggets and a regular quarter pounder instead of a double quarter pounder. Last time, they had three wrong sauces and a different flavor of milkshake than the one I ordered. And then you still have to wait ages. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

Messy Mac. Iron carts everywhere in front of the cash register. No table service. Mac is in the center. No terrace, often no receipt from payment terminal. Just not fun. And (of course) standard Mac food.

You pay a lot of money to even hide the cost of using the restroom, which you have to pay for. You order for the kitchen table, you also order takeout for the island: a wreak with lettuce, tomato, and chicken, a dessert cake with lettuce and nuggets... The most important thing for me is that the fries are hot. The fries were hot and crispy, and the service was quick, so I'm happy with it.

The tables were dirty, food ordered via an app was waited at the bar for a long time, and wasn't served despite the lack of traffic. The food was cold and greasy, there were mistakes with the order, and the staff was rude. Not to mention the €1 fee for the toilets, which were smelly and dirty.

Jesus, what awful staff, they don't know what they're doing. The whole dining area is filthy. And staff who don't follow the dress code by just wearing earrings and piercings. And they can't even work.

Gross, It looks like nothing's been cleaned here. All the tables are dirty. I struggle to find a seat without food scraps. A spilled milkshake is still on the floor. Staff throws wrappers on the kitchen floor instead of in the trash. Several items on the menu are sold out. In the €1 restroom, there's a diaper filled with urine next to the sink, and my food was cold. I'll never come back here again.

Big Mac sauce is on the website. It's also in the Mac, but the staff won't sell it. They'd rather throw it away. Very strange!!

Friendly help but it remains a shame about the mac all those paper straws, zero drinks, almost nothing for a lot of money. Toilet also costs 1 euro here. Space is quite cramped and the fries limp. Receipt that came out of the pole had some gray tones but there was actually nothing to read on it. Unfortunately not such a good experience in this mac.

Fries were bland and few fries. Order was wrong. And the icing on the cake was that the men's toilet was still filled with a very large message from a previous user. Ugh.

This is the worst McDonald's in the world. At least.. the worst I've been to so far. Where I normally don't quickly post a bad review, I thought it was appropriate here. I waited 25 minutes for a small order... After asking where it was and if this was okay, I got the answer "Yes, I don't have cheeseburgers, right!" Eventually, after 25 minutes, the order arrived without cheeseburgers. In the 25 minutes that I stood there, 3 people already came back: 1. Hadn't received fries with the order 2. Had received a cheeseburger (hey, they weren't there anyway) instead of a Big Mac. 3. Had ordered a large menu but received a small one. Despite the large number of people working there, everything is very uncontrolled and unstructured.. I love McDonald's but I won't go there anymore. The tables were also very dirty, this is of course largely due to the people who do not clean them up, but it would be good if someone wiped the tables every now and then :-)

Bit of a hangout spot for lowlife youth, there always seem to be drunk people around as well. They're always very busy and sometimes they get orders wrong, but it's a macdonalds so the food is still pretty much what you can expect

Not so nice experience. My friend had gotten a vanilla milkshake with caramel and whipped cream but got a banana, it was clearly a banana without caramel and whipped cream and we said that and the lady behind the counter said we were unlucky. And that lady also looked angry the whole time. This was not the first time either, but the second time. That was Friday, May 9, Mrs. Yellow Hairband.

Went to Mac's last night and first stood in line at the drive, but there was no movement at all so we decided to park and eat inside. There was also a lot of chaos inside, but we ordered anyway. It was a mess inside, there were still tables full of rubbish everywhere... Many people waited a long time for their orders. We also waited 45 minutes for our food and when we finally got our food it was almost cold... We are very disappointed and will not go here again, what a shame!

The device did not work at first because we did not receive a receipt, but in the end it was resolved, the food was fine, just what you expect and it was a small McDonald's but the atmosphere was reasonable

If all you have to do is go through a list and check off what is included in an order and you even do that wrong... then you really have a hopeless team of employees... what a shame... this location manages to forget straws, sauce and napkins time and time again... the simplest job and then it messes everything up... too sad for words...

Slow, very dirty place and bad attention.

The Big Mac is no longer as it used to be, the beef that is between the bun has certainly become half thinner, it is temporarily offered for half the price, 50% discount, but there is only half of it, paying more but less meat on it.

almost all the tables are dirty, the toilets are dirty, there is no paper, if you look at the snack production area the floor is completely dirty, it's unbelievable how there is no worker to clean the place

The food is like in any McDonalds, but there is a problem with the service. And in my opinion, it's not the employees' fault, but the employer's fault. Hires the wrong people for the job. There were two employees at the front, a young boy who was there for no purpose, couldn't even put the lid on a cup, and a girl whom I honestly felt sorry for because she had to do her job (which was so hard with so much traffic) and the job of a young man who only did what he did - poured cold drinks into the cups (but he didn't do that thoroughly either). She herself worked in several positions: customer service, frying French fries, picking and packing orders, making hot drinks and taking care of this boy who was unable to work. I will add that it was on Saturday, February 15, 2025 around 2:00 p.m.

What a crappy mac. If you order via home delivery, you will not receive half of your order. If you try to call them, they don't answer. Been the first and last time.

The closest Mc to the center of Hilversun was the train station. You can use the bathroom in the basement. Anyone who comes to Europe as a tourist knows that bathrooms are a luxury.

The staff doesn't speak English. At the checkout, the woman didn’t even try to find a common language. I entered the WRONG order. Despite the fact that we called some positions in Dutch to her and showed them on our fingers. 1 star only for the manager, simply because he had no problem giving free of charge those positions that were not given to us, although we asked and were clearly named. 2 cheeseburger menus and +1 extra cheese caused problems for the woman. She also showed us such dissatisfaction as if we were some kind of garbage 😟 The food was NOT fresh by the way! The cheeseburgers were practically cold. Potatoes even more or less. They didn’t properly pour the cola into one glass and didn’t mark which cola was WITHOUT SUGAR. Upd: 3 years ago I worked at McDonald's in the Netherlands and I know the standards. Here they are not observed, judging by the freshness of the food. And the staff at the service station is not at all trained in service and does not know English. I DID NOT EVEN TRY TO CALL OUR ORDER NUMBERS IN ENGLISH, I will not repeat the above situation with the cashier. This does not require a lot of time and intelligence to learn the numbers and a couple of names of sauces in English.

This McDonald's branch in the center of Hilversum is not entirely a recommended branch to go to. I only consider the negatives for the coffee, because I find the coffee from McDonalds to be above average. Only here you taste that the coffee is slightly less tasty than the other McDonald branch in Hilversum. Unfortunately, this branch is always overcrowded and not clean, which I think could be improved. The other McDonald's in Hilversum is much better, also because it is not in the center, it is much quieter. When I was here three weeks ago, my mother and I ordered two Caramel Lattes, but I suddenly received two Caramel Lattes and two oat lattes. I told the staff that too, but she said it was four, while it wasn't, because I paid about 8.60 for two Caramel lattes and that's just the price of two, but luckily I could get the coffee give it to someone who could use it :). So if you go to Maccie's and you can go to the other branch, do so because the atmosphere is almost like a restaurant in the other branch.

Friday evening, dine-in. Big disappointment! Won't be coming back next time. Only 2 out of six order machines worked, all milkshakes were out of stock, the men's toilet sink was dirty, and the personnel didn't properly process our orders until me and my friends approached the woman behind the counter whilst showing our receipts. All in all, this experience fell short of the bare minimum that can be expected from a fastfood restaurant.

Eh, it’s a McDonalds. Not sure what you’d expect really. I won’t say much, but I’ll just get a chicken sandwich, a sprite and some fries. Done and dusted, get my food and I’m out. Nuggets are always solid though. The place itself though is not exactly the cleanest, and it’s very full, but again, it’s a McDonalds.

I recently ate here for the first time and it is also the last time, it took 30 minutes until my order was ready and now you will think we = what you ordered, now here comes 1 cheeseburger and 20 chicken nuggets. It took so long that I missed my bus and had to wait another hour. the employees looked grumpy and when I told them I wanted a cheeseburger and not the hamburger they gave me, they huffed on my food.

Today I really had the worst experience ever at this McDonalds. 3 of the 6 ordering kiosks were out of use. Not a problem in itself, but waiting half an hour after ordering for your small order of "fast food" is scandalous in my opinion. Fortunately there was nothing wrong with the food, but the whole shop is just gross and no one does anything about it, because I think they are all preparing food in the kitchen. Even though your food has been ready for at least 15 minutes, it is getting cold and your milkshakes are melting because only 1 order is being prepared at a time. My advice would be: close the entire store and put in place a new management with serious employees who really persevere. I know the salary of McDonalds, and I certainly wouldn't do such a slack job for that money, even though the employees here unfortunately do. Edit a few months later: Today I waited 15 minutes at the counter to be helped. Nobody came. Standing right in front of them, I could see that they really weren't busy. How can this place still be open??

Just work it in quickly. So enjoy a Big Mac menu. Tasted like it always does, yummy! The restaurant was very busy, and dirty.
