Staff were very caring and helpful, food was great, cafe was cozy and nice seating available for all different types of reasons.

The ice coffee is amazing and so loved the pastrami sandwich so much!

Huge small cup of coffee and the iced coffee was really just milk with ice.

I had a surprisingly bad avocado bread. Both the bread and avocado cream were super bland, no taste at all. Also I asked for fresh mint tea, but just got regular supermarket tea 🥲

Very, very slow service. We have been here twice, and both times the waiting time has been approx 25 minutes. Additionally, my iced matcha almost didn't have any matcha in it, just milk. Not great.

Highly recommended! The staff is very friendly and the iced coffee and iced tea are delicious :) Plus, a nice spot to sit outside when it's sunny 🌞

The food and drinks were really nice! We tried sandwich Avocado Mambito, Bono’s breakfast, iced matcha latte and iced orange latte. Everything was super yummy and the stuff was very attentive and nice. The location is also good!

Wonderful spot! Super chill vibe. You can also study there and there is a student discount. Coffee is good and the sandwich is also tasty (although the salmon sandwich could use more salmon, otherwise great!). Friendly staff and you can also save points.

During the day? I have no idea what's happening. To eat? I really don't know. But on Tuesday evening just after eight it's all different. LATIN NIGHT. Be there on time because it will be fun and busy every time. Are you into Salsa, Bachata, Merengue... Come and dance. Dancing is fun for… well, how many people fit into it.

A spacious and modern café with a dedicated study area. Fernweh is a rare gem for Groningen, and the coffee quality is worth the visit alone. Although the iced coffee was great and even had subtle notes of berries, the drink I actually ordered was the iced orange latte foam. This was supposed to have almond foam and orange syrup, but the coffee did not have these flavors. Maybe avoid getting this if you come. My friend also ordered a pumpkin spice latte. As most European cafés do, it was just a latte with cinnamon spice on top, and this flavor did not permeate the entire drink. If you're a student wanting to study while having good coffee and a sweet treat, this café is unmatched in Groningen. Just don't spend the money on the 'specials'.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is so great, including homemade cakes and croissants. The coffee is the real star however. Some of the best in the entire city. and the customer service is truly great! The reason, however, I choose a coffeeshop is because of the ability to work as a digital nomad. This cafe has plenty of seats, plenty of outlets, fast wifi, and more. The vibe is great, and the fact that the cafe is a bit out of the way, makes it feel like a hidden gem. I am nervous about sharing this coffee shop with the world, because I know its going to get so busy - but for those who need a place to work, with some of the best coffee and food in the city - then this is the place for you. Highly highly recommend.

We had a breakfast on the weekend @fernweh. Food was good and tasty, the space was not very crowded. I think value for money was to high. Small Cacao for 6,50 was overrated. Nice place but for not beeing central and not extra special you should not await a cheap place ;) One point reduction: We ordered drinks first after that a menu with drink included but this was not deducted (we have found out later because someone of our group payed the complete bill). I think the owner should have seen that by himself

Very nice place to have something to eat and drink. For lunch we can heartily recommend the pastrami sandwich, it is divine and highly recommended! It's also nice that they have workplaces that you can use freely when having a drink.

The place looks new and decorated very neat and modern. The staff was nice and the food was very good.

A hidden gem! This coffee shop has been here less than a year and I was lucky enough to find it by staying close by on a trip. Friendly staff, great coffee, great pastries (banana bread), delicious bowls (I tried the chocolate one), healthy protein plates (eggs, cottage cheese, avocado, smoked salmon, and fresh bread), and great sandwiches too! This place is also divided up into a study side and a lounging side. Great for students as well as others. I'm really glad to be staying close to it for this trip. I've been to many coffee shops here and this is up there with the best easily.

Really nice Place! I was there for a call with a friend and you can have your own space to work. Also the coffee ane the food have various options, very healthy things as well! Will visit again! :)

Great place to work and study. They have meeting rooms that is a must if you need to talk privately for your daily meeting. Also, the comfortable spherical chairs are amazing. For now, it is not also that much crowded which is also a plus.

Had a really fun afternoon with live music and local beers. Also a very nice card!

As a former barista i've been searching for a place to drink coffee near my house, what i can say. I found it :). Very good coffee at a fair price definitely recommend to everyone

Took 50 minutes for our sandwiches to come out even though there were only a few other customers. Sandwich was average and lacking in filling and did not have all the ingredients as listed on the menu in them. Certainly not worth 9.50 euro.
