Floor Restaurant & Lounge in Omval/Overamstel

We went here because there wasn’t much around the area and it was near where we were staying. Upon arrival we were told it was buffet that night and we couldn’t order a la carte. We probably should have checked the buffet before agreeing but we were hungry and tired and there wasn’t much else nearby. The buffet was expensive, €25 a person. For what we paid it was pathetic. Here were the options: - buns with butter - small, relatively basic salad bar with a pasta salad, what looked like Greek salad, maybe egg salad, a few other things I couldn’t tell what they were, maybe salmon salad?, and then greens/veg with some dressing options - a vegetable soup of some kind - fried potato/tater tot things with no ketchup or mayo to be seen - steamed/boiled carrots and peas, tasted like what happens when you steam/boil a bag of frozen veggies and do nothing else with them - steamed broccoli, also without seasoning - plain white rice - some sort of fish steamed or baked in a whitish/yellow sauce (I don’t eat fish so I didn’t try it) - meatballs We were told everything would have labels to tell us what it was. That was not the case. The meatball tray had like 3 meatballs left on it when we got there. My husband took them. There were not too many people in the restaurant. The tray was not replenished for at least 15 minutes after it was emptied. It must have been low for at least a little while before we got there. Considering how few options they had it was rather surprising they weren’t more on top of replenishing the meatballs. Particularly since they were the only non-seafood protein option. There were several people asking for them and waiting for them to come out by the time they were brought out. I have no doubt the tray was empty again within a few minutes. The dessert options were fine. There was some fruit salad, yogurt, a cake and some whipped cream-thing. But I didn’t exactly feel satisfied when we left. The cocktails were good but expensive. €14.50 for a mojito. I wouldn’t go back to eat a la carte because I don’t have high hopes for the food based on what we got at the buffet.

The waitress was very unpleasant and rather haughty. Acceptable food, unenthusiastic, and unfavorable value for money. I do not recommend it.

The food is very good, but unfortunately it lacked that certain something and a little bit of a 5-star rating, especially since the prices are quite high. I would especially like to mention the waiter, who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating; he even spoke a few words of German, which I rarely encountered in Amsterdam.

It's a disgrace that such a restaurant is allowed to open as a hotel restaurant. I ordered a pizza that I believe came straight from the freezer and was bought at the cheapest wholesaler ever. The hotel should close this restaurant because it's a complete contrast to the quality of the hotel. Next time, I'll go to the McDonald's nearby; it tastes better.

Poor service provided by two inexperienced young people marred our experience. The lack of a drinks menu and the limited lunch selection were also disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, the food was still plentiful and tasty, and the prices were generally reasonable. However, €24 for a burger seemed a bit excessive compared to the prices of other dishes. The terrace leaves something to be desired: it lacks cleanliness and appears dated, with dirty chairs and tables. These details spoil the overall atmosphere and deserve special attention.

Passive service: leave so the table can be cleared. Food? Pasta with cheese, green beans... and that's it. Very disappointing for a 32-euro buffet.

32.50 euros a Buffet We don't even know what we are being given to eat. Infectious I won't even give to my dog.

I think it was good 4 years ago. I went today and the menu is very different and the food quality is also really different. Not good value for money as well.

A beautiful hotel. The food was good. I loved the onion soup. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Un buffet all-in vraiment très moyen. Nous y sommes allés entre amis pour un resto un peu improvisé. La nourriture était fade et il a fallu bcp de temps avant que le buffet soit réassorti. Ça coûtait 28,5/pers et franchement ça ne les valait pas sauf si le but est de manger plus que de raison..

Das resturant ist modern eingerichtet und das Personal ist super freundlich. Leider muss ich zwei Sterne abziehen. Der eine Stern ist für die kleine Auswahl an den Speisen. Den zweiten Stern ziehe ich wegen Preisleistungs Verhältnis ab. Leider war die Pizza auch nicht gerade. Sie hat leider nicht geschmeckt und der Rand war Stein strochen, sodas man diesen nicht essen konnte.

Aunque hay que esperar un poco más para que el servicio sea muy amable, el ambiente es moderno, buenas sillas y una tienda de bocadillos saludables.

Вот ей-богу, если я хочу вспомнить плохое обслуживание, то вспоминается Амстердам и ресторан в "Меркури". Уже не первую выставку мы здесь, и всегда какие-то косяки: то забудут принести, то принесут не то. Прямо фантастика! А еда-то вкусная, выбор вин тоже присутствует. Но вот обслуживание всё портит.

Friendly staff. I ordered an Amster-damn burger, 5/5 with good potato wedges. Wife ordered the vegetarian burger which was a disappointment, very dry and no sauce. However she got the sweet potato fries and they were marvelous.
