Thought I was getting a nice Advocaat sundae. It was a tub of melted ice cream; the freezer was opened too often. No apology, but I still had to pay the full price. Not worth repeating. You shouldn't serve this to customers. I ran into some people on leaving. Told them not to order ice cream because you get milk instead of ice cream.. Worthless

I was served very quickly, the food was delicious and certainly plentiful. The view is lovely with quite a few boats passing by. The only minor point is that after I finished my meal, the empty plate sat there for well over half an hour, and I wasn't asked if I wanted another drink. I'm a bit awkward about that myself, but I eventually walked over to the bar to pay the bill instead of having another drink ;)

Beautiful location and friendly service.

I returned to this restaurant after a long time. And honestly, it was worth it. The fries are the best in all of Holland. The portions are very large. The drinks are perfect. The service is very friendly and so is Pomona. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Terneuzen. It's the first stop on the city's culinary map.

Upon entering, we were very quickly asked if we wanted something to drink (by a young woman). Since we were still waiting for people, she said she would come back later. We then changed tables and were immediately asked for drinks again. But the people we were waiting for hadn't arrived yet, so... they would come back later. When the people were there, it took a very long time before we could order something to drink. At one point, we also had to raise our hand to indicate that we wanted to order something (it wasn't busy). Empty bottles were not taken away immediately at that moment. We had ordered a snack as a starter, for which we had to wait a long time. At one point, they came to ask (a young man) if the food could come. He did not take the snack dishes with him. We therefore had to wait a while again for the main course. The stew was... my girlfriend didn't eat it at all, and I didn't give it a 6 either! My girlfriend was offered an alternative (pesto) by the young woman, though. That one was good. The men had pork tenderloin satay and vol-au-vent. That was okay / good. The young man came to ask if we wanted anything to drink when we had finished eating, but then didn't take the dirty plates away. The bottom line is... it is a beautiful location and it would be a shame if it were to close again. In our view, a lot still needs to be done to turn it into a well-functioning restaurant.

Very little choice, never any pizza and much more fries. Dinner menu very small. It is all very disappointing. Red wine served very warm. It shouldn't be above 20 degrees. Bothered by smokers.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. I waited at my table for about 20 minutes. During that time, three waiters passed by several times, but none of them approached me, greeted me, or asked if I would like to order. I even tried to get one waiter’s attention, but he completely ignored me. After about 15 minutes, I simply left. I understand that a restaurant can be busy, but a quick “We’ll be with you shortly” would have been enough to make a customer feel acknowledged rather than completely ignored. Very disappointing service.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, hospitable, and attentive, making us feel welcome immediately. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

Nice location by the water... pleasant place to sit. Atmosphere okay... missed a bit of background music on the terrace (but that is my personal opinion). The service still needs to "get into the swing of things". Waiting a bit longer for a drink, a lot of glassware broken, small menu. Price/quality I think okay for this location? We had the large tapas platter for 35 euros (with 4 people).

We only had drinks here. So I can't say anything about the food. But the iced coffee was delicious, and the Cava too. And on top of that, a fantastic view.

Visited yesterday afternoon. The interior has been beautifully updated. We received our drinks and a delicious platter of snacks quickly. The staff is very friendly. Stayed longer than planned. A lovely place to enjoy yourself.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service

I find it very unfortunate that I can only give this place 2 stars in a beautiful location! This is because we got two ice creams this afternoon and the cooler temperature was set too high; the lady behind the ice cream counter also mentioned this. She couldn't scoop it with an ice cream scoop because it was so soft, so it ended up being a (small) soft scoop of ice cream on the cone. They also couldn't dip the ice cream in the free topping sprinkles, because otherwise the already melting ice would fall off; what a shame. I am not the person who immediately starts shouting when there are many people in the shop. Tip: then please stop selling ice cream (temporarily)! Otherwise, you will receive many more complaints. Tip 2: With my soft ice cream in hand, I have to go into the queue further inside the shop to pay at a checkout; please let your customer pay at the ice cream! For €2.20, I would like a good scoop of cold ice cream. I hope I can give you a 5* later this summer, and not for the business, but for a better experience.

Had a delicious meal. Beautiful spot at sunset on the Scheldt. Right next to the marina. View of the Scheldt. Great food while the giant ships pass right in front of you. Service enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful. Opened only 3 weeks ago. With a limited menu so far. The ambitions promise a lot.

Good and fast service, you get a lot for what you pay. I will definitely come back here, the view is priceless.

Really bad! We wanted to grab a quick drink around 9:00 PM. The waitress first asked if we just wanted a drink. After we answered "yes," we were told that they were closing and that the last round had already been served. Even though the 'Open' sign was still outside and the opening hours were listed as 10:00 PM. We consider that anything but hospitable. Take the sign down and adjust the opening hours if you stop receiving guests an hour earlier. A very poor first impression for a business that has just opened.

New owners, new opportunities You can still notice some awkwardness in the service. But the staff is doing their best. We ordered a sangria for 9.50, however, the glass was only 75% full. You would expect a full glass for that price. We also ordered a tapas platter for, I think, 24.50. There was plenty on it and it was tasty. There are certainly areas for improvement, but that is logical for a new business. Good luck in the future and we will definitely come back for a fuller sangria. 😉

The platter was tasty. The service was okay. The fish and chips were scandalously bad. I think it came from an Iglo freezer pack, and they don't know anything about mushy peas either.

Het plankje was lekker maar de vis en chips zijn een schande. Leek op bevroren iglo ipv van echte vis in beslag. Niet doen!

The cod and fries were delicious. It's a lovely and cozy spot by the sea; it's a shame it's closing.

The seemingly plain hut near the beach turns out to be quite competitive in terms of cuisine: the beetroot and avocado burger is a particularly delicious combination, and the Juttersplank enjoyed the next day is a delicious meal for two: plenty of salmon, two types of ham and sausage, bitterballen, mini loempia, savory empanadas, and small green soy beans in soy sauce with sesame seeds—great! The service is friendly, unobtrusive, and prompt.

Wonderful stop and eat on our road trip. Very friendly service and of course delicious food. Something for everyone on the menu, a view over the water and a lovely spot on the terrace with a little sun. For next time I already know what I'm going to order....

Bad experience. We asked for a black angus burger and they mentioned they had not the black angus so they suggested the chicken burger. Ok! But it came with nothing inside: just bread, chicken and lettuce. The worst part: we paid the same money as if it was with a black angus (with no bacon, onion, etc…). The past was also warmed up. Really disappointed

A nice restaurant overlooking the sea. You can eat inside or outside. We went inside and ordered some excellent burgers with a side of chips. Truly delicious veggie burger. Very good draft beer. The strudel is also noteworthy. I recommend it to everybody.

Very nice place to have dinner with a great view! A few twiks to the menu wouldn't hurt, but overall, it was a really good experience.

What a nice restaurant... Foodjutters invites you with great attention to detail and food. On the way home, we really wanted to eat something delicious and came across this place by chance and were anything but disappointed. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to it.

Inmiddels 3 x bij Foodjutters gegeten en de goede beoordeling is absoluut verdiend. Prachtige locatie met mooi uitzicht op de Westerschelde, gezellige en authentieke inrichting (strandtent look), zeer vriendelijke bediening en een uitgebreide kaart waarin zowel grote als kleine eters hun gading kunnen vinden. Als je geen vleeseter bent, beveel ik de poke bowl met tonijn en de bagel met geitenkaas aan.

The only good thing about this establishment is the view if you ask me. During our walk we wanted to have a quick drink here, but we soon had to wait a while. After some time, I received the card myself and ordered it. When it was not brought after a few minutes, we offered to come and get it ourselves, but they insisted that they bring it themselves. After waiting a few more minutes, we received the wrong order, but also a mediocre one. Not much drink in the glass, no taste and after we indicated that it was taking a long time (there was a group inside and a few tables outside) we were told that we were only waiting for "eight minutes". An apology was issued followed by many other excuses. We understand better than anyone that a shortage of staff is annoying, but when we left there were more than 4 people at the counter, which begs the question why we had to go after the menu and order ourselves. Too bad, because the view was beautiful.

We have now eaten at Foodjutters 3 times and the good rating is absolutely deserved. Beautiful location with a beautiful view of the Western Scheldt, cozy and authentic decor, very friendly service and an original menu that will suit both small and large eaters. If you are not a meat eater, I recommend the tuna poke bowl or the goat cheese bagel.

We had to wait half an hour for someone to come (ordered in ourselves) and wait for our drink to arrive. The fresh ginger tea was warm water with 2 old dried out pieces of ginger.

With a beautiful view of everything that passes by boats large and small and the good sea air, you can enjoy a drink accompanied by something sweet or savory. From the afternoon to the evening, because the menu also includes a tasty pizza or burger, as well as a pot of stew, and you also have a small menu for the children to choose from.

Nice food, but waited a long time for admission, otherwise good

The place is nice especially on a hot day, when you can sit on the terrace with a cool view of ships passing by, but what makes them truly 5 star is their Black Angus Burger. I’m 40, I love burgers, and this one was probably the best one I’ve ever eaten during traveling. And at just 15 EUR it’s really quite cheap for a non-fast-food burger in the Netherlands.

Very nice location! With your nose on the Western Scheldt. Blessed. Very fast and friendly service. Delicious kibbeling, which we were allowed to order around closing time. Really a heart ♥ for the customer. It does have a price tag... Mint tea, Desperados and 2x kibbeling €28.80... Still highly recommended for a wonderful holiday feeling, where you are welcome. Price-quality ratio is good here. Parking 🅿 nearby.

Nice place to have a drink. We were less pleased with the attitude of the young staff: at 9.15 we were told that we were expected to leave at short notice, because there were no more dining guests. We would have liked to stay until 10 a.m. as the opening time on the website indicates.

Shortly before the kitchen closed, we were allowed to order. With 4 people it was financially reasonable (2x Angus burgers, pizza salami and fish and chips). Food was very good and the service was very friendly. Highly recommended!! Also for children.

Pleasantly busy, nice staff. Food tasty and enough. Starter: the beachcombers plank for 2. Then pizza and salad. Goat cheese on salad was very large, making salad very rich. Edama beans (or something like that) were not mentioned, I don't like them either. But other than that the salad was delicious. Worth repeating.

I had stomach problems all night and the next morning, even after 2 rennies. Probably from the greasy fish and chips. Perhaps also old grease. Too bad about the great service and reasonable prices.

Very customer unfriendly. I used to come here regularly, but that is a thing of the past. If you come to eat with two people, you cannot pay the bill split. When I said something about this, the answer was "This is also on the menu" and "there are plenty of other ways to settle the bill yourself afterwards". At Food Jutters, first read the small print before you eat there because they determine how you handle your finances. I don't come here anymore.

Tasty kibbeling, nice staff. View over the Western Scheldt.

We went here for dinner today. We had family visiting from Belgium and wanted to let them taste something they didn't know yet. What I immediately noticed was that the kibbeling was extremely hard and chewy, but also very greasy. They didn't taste fresh at all, but rather like they had been baked a few times. I started asking someone who works in the kitchen why the kibbeling tastes so bad, as if it had been refried. The answer was a shocking one. Yes!!!. Then another colleague quickly came who does not even work in the kitchen but serves and she told me that they are fresh. When I confronted her with the fact that her colleague had just told her that they had been rebaked, she stood there with her mouth full of teeth. I asked why do you give us refried food and the answer I got was sorry. I paid everything but I won't eat here again. Sad that you get "fresh" leftovers from other people that don't even taste like kibbeling anymore.

What a nice spot in Terneuzen! On the water, cozy and hip furnishings. We had drinks one evening with the Juttersplank and hot snacks. Recommended!
