Great place! Delicious food and friendly staff. A truly authentic Italian restaurant. No thick crusts or greasy spaghetti, but delicious fresh ingredients and a beautiful pizza topped with delicious pizzas.

The food was excellent. The service, despite two teenagers, was very poor. They lacked product knowledge and hospitality. The staff needs much better training.

Good Italian food, beautifully prepared: Melanzane Parmigiana, pasta Genovese, fresh ravioli. The very young staff has limited knowledge of the dishes and is not very attentive. They deserve further training in dedicated hospitality, befitting a specialty restaurant.

Cozy restaurant and delicious food.

We booked a pizza making workshop for 8 people, including kids. It was very fun, we got to make our own dough and choose the toppings, bake the pizza in a pizza oven and eat it! It is possible to supplement with extra drinks and dessert, and even order other food. The restaurant is located in a cute picturesque town so make sure to stroll around. Thanks, it was a lovely day and a lovely birthday for my son :)

Unfortunately, the meat special on the website had already changed, and the new one came with a sauce I didn't like. The chef resolved it perfectly with a different, delicious sauce. The pizza and pasta were also delicious. Friendly and good service.

We had a wonderful meal this evening. The starters, main courses, and desserts were all delicious! As was the cappuccino. Starter: Bruschetta, burrata veggie (tomato, arugula) Main: Pasta Carbonara & salmon. Dessert: Tiramisu & panna cotta. Every dish: TOP! Hygiene: good, restrooms clean. Service: friendly and fast (partly open kitchen). * We found the chairs and tables less comfortable, and the restaurant could use a bit more ambiance. Candles lit. Curtains for ambiance and acoustics, flowers… atmospheric lamps. We asked for and received a cushion for the chair. Wonderful. The tableware is beautiful, wonderfully old-fashioned. A wonderful way to serve Italian food! Didn't finish any food? You can take it home; it's great that waste is being reduced. The kitchen and the pizza oven counter look beautiful. Delicious food and excellent service.

We made a reservation this afternoon and requested a quiet spot due to our hearing impairment. This was perfectly arranged, and they were very considerate of our needs, including communication. Of course, restaurants are noisy, which is normal. But it was wonderful that they took this into account. The food was delicious and truly authentic Italian. The price-quality ratio is also excellent! The service was also truly top-notch! A truly wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Altijd goed om hier terug te komen, om de redenen die hieronder al zijn genoemd. Mijn favoriet is de lasagna van aubergine (niet te verwarren met de lasagna zoals "wij" die kennen en die ook op de kaart staat, bij de pasta's). Een variëteit van drie rode huiswijnen betekent voor elk wat wils. Mooie selectie pizza's en pasta's ook.

Super tasty food, super fast and friendly service, and a very cozy atmosphere. You can sit here for 2 hours if you want and have a nice meal, but with children you can also be outside again within 30 minutes if you want (and you can take the food you didn't eat home with you) plus you can eat there for a nice price :) A gem this

Amazing! Stopped in on a Tuesday evening. Had bruschetta as an appetizer, fresh and delicious! Dinner was pasta carbonara and mushroom risotto, both cooked perfectly and amazing! Seating was right alongside a beautiful canal. Highly recommend!

Sunday we went to eat swordfish menu chosen was very disappointing bremzout, vegetables indefinable vegetables, potato slices many black and rock hard some. And then all this wrapped in aluminum foil not recommended

What a great place this is in the beautiful Silver City of Schoonhoven. Delicious Italian food and super friendly people. This time we enjoyed the sun outside, but it is also very atmospheric inside. Forchetta is our place for a wonderful evening of enjoyment!

Wat een fantastische ervaring bij La Forchetta! Vanaf het moment dat we binnenstapten voelden we ons welkom. De reservering verliep soepel en we kregen meteen een fijne plek bij het raam met uitzicht op de charmante straatjes van Schoonhoven. Het eten was werkelijk verrukkelijk. De pasta met truffelsaus was romig en perfect op smaak, en de pizza met parmaham was knapperig, rijk belegd en authentiek Italiaans. Alles was vers bereid en dat proef je direct. Ook het dessert – een klassieke tiramisu – was om je vingers bij af te likken. De service was vriendelijk, vlot en attent zonder opdringerig te zijn. De bediening had duidelijk plezier in hun werk en gaf goede uitleg over de gerechten en wijnsuggesties. De sfeer is warm en gezellig: modern ingericht met een knipoog naar Italië. De tafels staan niet te dicht op elkaar, waardoor je echt ontspannen kunt dineren. Wat betreft prijs/kwaliteit zit je hier goed. Voor de kwaliteit van het eten en de beleving betaal je een eerlijke prijs. Absoluut waar voor je geld. De locatie is perfect: midden in het centrum, op loopafstand van de zilverstad bezienswaardigheden en met voldoende parkeergelegenheid in de buurt. Wachttijd tussen de gangen was precies goed – geen gehaast, maar ook zeker niet te lang wachten. Kortom: wij komen hier zeker terug. Een aanrader voor iedereen die van écht Italiaans eten houdt in een gezellige en sfeervolle setting!

Great Pizza's asset to the region, correct service 👍😄

In our family we experienced: 'Have you ever eaten in a good restaurant in Italy?' Then this is the place to be. Really delicious, everything is fresh, including the pasta, just like you eat it in Italy.

Expectations were high after all the good reviews, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The decoration of the restaurant is not my choice, very sparse. Which resulted in a cacophony of sound. The pizza oven is in the back part of the restaurant, which makes it quite hot there. The staff is friendly, but we found the dishes disappointing, the risotto was tasty but not special, the ravioli was fine, but the ricotta with spinach was lukewarm and 4 meatballs for 21 euros were a bit expensive. However, the Tiramisu was excellent and I don't think we will go there again.

Ate here for the first time today, expectations were high but unfortunately they were disappointing, the service and its speed left much to be desired. Orders were forgotten to serve and ingredients were missing, the food was cold quickly and lacked flavor.

Forchetta provided on-site catering for our anniversary party. Delicious dishes were made on the spot, it was delicious! The guests loved it and the men from Forchetta brought the real Italian atmosphere to the party location and were enthusiastic themselves. The service during the evening was flawless. We didn't have to worry about the food for a moment, because everything was completely taken care of. Communication during arranging the catering went very smoothly. The quotation was clear and we knew in advance exactly what to expect in terms of dishes, and we were also allowed to submit our own wishes from the menu. An absolute must!!

Had a delicious meal at Forchetta tonight!! Were 4 people. As starters we had the tuna tartare, Caprese, Bruchetta and the meatballs, all equally delicious! Then the main courses, including 3 delicious pizzas and 1 pasta, the ravioli filled with buratta in pesto sauce, so delicious! We were actually too full for dessert, but we ordered the panna cota and the tiramisu and they were also consumed with ease. The service was also pleasant and super friendly. We will definitely come back here!!! An asset to Schoonhoven!

The restaurant may not have the typical Italian atmosphere you expect, but that atmosphere is definitely reflected in the food itself. The service is incredibly fast and the food tasted delicious. There is more than enough choice in food, also for vegetarians and vegans.

Had to wait hours for the starter. Bruschetta hard and tomatoes barely seasoned. Risotto tasted as if it had been on the stove for hours, it had become rice porridge. Too bad, because these simple dishes can be so tasty... In addition, the chairs are rock hard and it is very draughty, especially if you sit near the entrance of the restaurant.

Amazing pizza, great service and lovely atmosphere!

A real Italian: with relatively simple, but high-quality ingredients, yet intensely tasty dishes. It always amazes me how an ingredient or dish that you already think you know can have so much more flavor. Don't expect Dutchification: pasta is al dente, not boiled to death, and even the soft drinks are not the standard stuff (San Pellegrino blood orange is highly recommended!). The restaurant itself has a simple, but homely appearance. No dusty dust, but effective reuse of vintage and antiques. Wooden tables and chairs, reminiscent of (or are?) old school furnishings, and the same degree of comfort. Not great for sitting still and listening for hours on end, certainly great for a meal and conversation. It can be noisy inside when it's busy, but because I'm sensitive to that, I always have earplugs with me. I didn't really find it disturbing until now. If the friendly staff is unsure about something, they will ask: great! Better that than bullshit or disinterest. As a resident, I am very happy with this restaurant, it is not yet another with the same standard menu and it is not just for day trippers. And not unimportant: the price is very reasonable, and the quantities are more than sufficient for the average stomach. Oh, and apparently takeaway is also possible. That seems like a nice option if you're tired of fries, American pizza and döner here.

Since it opened, this is actually the only restaurant in Schoonhoven where I still eat. I have had a nice dinner here several times, and on Silver Day I thought their tasty sandwiches had the best price/quality ratio of all the food offered on the street. Judging from other reviews, they learn from criticism. I did see some sound absorbing material, but I don't know how long ago it was installed. The control automatically offered to close the door for a pleasant temperature and later also to lower the screen against the low sun. The drinks board was explained. The portions are not large, but that is not a problem with so many delicious things on the menu, the prices are fine. The pizzas are filling by the way. Delicious cuisine with fresh ingredients, so there may be times when something runs out, which is logical, and it makes choosing a little easier. I don't have a big butt but I had no complaints about the wooden chairs. I like the casual decor, as well as the service.

Want to try something different, so we made a reservation for a nice dinner here on Saturday evening. The food is good, nicely prepared, especially for that price. The service behaves friendly, but from a practical point of view it is hopeless: not knowing what you are serving, making a mistake in what you are serving because the menu has just changed, never asking again after the first drink if you would like something to drink (if you want anything at all). is already near the table) and do not know who ordered what. The first impression when we entered: what a lot of noise! Admittedly, the place was quite full, but not a cent was spent on sound-absorbing measures: no curtains, walls and ceilings painted and that's it. Looks nice and trendy, but is an abomination sound-wise; any conversation without raising your voice impossible. Again: highly recommended in terms of food, but absolutely not for the rest. Too bad, missed opportunity!

Zonde van ons geld... om 1800 uur gereserveerd en we kregen wel al snel te drinken... het is een leuke lokatie en het was er niet druk....dus waarom het zo lang moest duren allemaal... we waren met 4 personen ...de serveerster kwam steeds zeggen dat ze het ook lang vond duren maar dat het nu echt in de oven zat....om 19.30 uur kwam eindelijk het eten.. wat ontzettend tegenviel de porties waren klein en de pizza had zwarte plekken.. echt heel erg jammer en niet voor herhaling vatbaar!

Just had an amazing dinner here, amazing wine, wonderful food, and a great atmosphere. The meatballs had my mouth watering and wanting more, the chicken was well seasoned and juicy, and the rum cake was absolutely delicious. Paired with the delicious red wine, it was great. Would highly recommend!

Had to wait almost an hour for our food. When it was finally brought, the salmon was dried out and the potatoes and vegetables were burnt. Because we were so hungry, we ate it after we told the (very friendly) waitress. She passed this on and came back saying that we could get coffee/tea on the house. Serious?! Main course is finally messed up and then you are offered a coffee. In the more than 25 years that I have worked in the hospitality industry, I have never experienced anything like this, but back then it was all about service, good quality and hospitality. This was the 1st and last time for us😕

The food is fine here. What is disappointing, however, is the temperature and tables/chairs (huge hard chairs). Very uncomfortable sitting and very cold inside. It doesn't feel like a nice evening out, but rather like a quick bite and that's a real shame.

Besteld voorgerecht niet voorradig, zonder overleg werd een ander gerecht geserveerd, het hoofdgerecht was lauw, duurde een kleine twee uur voor het eindelijk geserveerd werd en verschrikkelijk kleine porties.
