It was fantastic. The almond croissant was perfectly flaky, and the cheese soufflé sandwich was perfectly balanced with the fresh sauce and pickled onion. The coffee was also delicious.

Top-quality pastries and baked goods, all artisanally made on the spot, everything is incredibly fresh and flavorful. The selection may not be extensive, but it's delicious. We ordered a classic croissant with perfect air bubbles, a pain au chocolate that was incredibly flavorful and not too buttery, and a delicious flaky cinnamon roll with a truly balanced cinnamon flavor.

The almond croissant was incredibly delicious! Update: Even better than the first time. The croissant was still slightly warm. Richly filled but not too sweet. A true work of art!

Fort Negen has amazing soft serve, served in half a croissant! It’s novel, and it’s delicious. I also bought a loaf of the raisin and nut bread, which was dense and wonderful with a slight sourdough tang to counteract the sweetness of the raisins. Amazing. I made the time to come here during a six hour layover in Amsterdam and it was so worth it.

Finally I visited this bakery. The place is cute and the service is high. There is a very good choice of sweet baked goods like cinnamon rolls, pain au chocolate, many types of croissants, gluten free brownies and bread ofc. I took an almond croissant which was good, rich but still a bit on the heavy side for me when it comes to butter.. But this is typically dutch,overall was good, just not my taste completely so I will try something different next time. The brownie was delicious, I will take it again for sure. They bake the goods in front of you and you can see the ladies knitting the dough live from the windows shop

Pastries were delicious. Tried the kaascroissant and the Rum Cruffin! Lines were not too long at 11am. Staff is very pleasant. We also got bread - not sure, but it felt very underbaked in many parts. No seating area. They also have a sandwich shop next door.

Great bakery with a lot of good food. The ice cream croissant was a winner, obviously. Worth mentioning that the bakery isn’t in the most central part of Amsterdam and that commuting from city centre is recommended.

I mean the products are good, if there's no line def visit the place, i just don't know if it's ever worth waiting in line for too long for a pastry. Definitely not unforgettable taste.

Broodje tahini was super super super vies. Ik kom jaren voor de bakkerij en dat zit helemaal goed. Lekker brood. Maar de belegde broodjes zijn wel even een teleurstelling. Althans, het broodje met tahini. Zat kaas en ei op en crispy geraspte aardappelen. Smerig mensen. Niet aan te raden. Na 2 happen de prullenbak in. Jammer.

Used to be crazy about this place (I didn’t even mind the 7 euro double shot late haver but all of their pastries are burnt and if you get the bread pudding with glacé, be aware it’s because the cake is black as charcoal on top. Blah

It's a lovely little establishment. It's small but so busy that the wait in line is worth it. In my experience throughout my travels so far, it was the best almond croissant I've ever had. You can also get your coffee inside the establishment. I'll definitely be back.

The bakeries I ordered are incredible, the iced latte was not bad but nothing special. But the presentation of the food here is something I really dislike, all papers. Even if you dine in, there’s no actual nice plate or glass, it’s nakeries serviced on napkins, drinks in paper cups and paper straws. This is the worst idea ever. It’s not TikTok that made this place popular, it’s the quality. A must-go for anyone who loves good bread. I often buy a Boerenbruin (farmer's brown bread), rye bread, and the ‘Paris eat your heart out’ Croissant. And the Chocolate Miso cookie is my guilty pleasure (great for sharing). I love dark-baked bread, and they'll search one out for you if you ask. You can also request how thick you'd like your bread sliced; super convenient. This bakery is truly worth a detour.

4.5/5 The almond croissant has a high butter content, making it crispy and flaky, but the pastry itself is rather flat and the air pockets aren’t very noticeable. There’s a generous amount of almond cream, and it’s not too sweet. I really like it. The cruffin, on the other hand, wasn’t as impressive. The sugar on the outside was a bit too sweet and overpowered the buttery aroma of the pastry, and it wasn’t as crispy as I expected. The filling had more fruit jam than cream.

Went here twice now. The coffee was decent, but you really come here for the food. The almond croissant is ALWAYS to die for. For the other stuff they rotate their products. The cruffins are fairly heavy, so keep that in mind (although very good).

Probably the most expensive bread I ever bought (three big loafs I paid 32€), but also nothing compared to other spots around and also the size of the bread allows to save for many days. You can feel the high quality ingredients, the full grain, it does not feel heavy. I will come back every time I’m out of bread tbh. Haven’t had the chance to try their pastries and sweets yet.

Go there knowing you’ll compare every single pastry to Fort Negen’s. And it will be a losing battle. They come up with the most unique combinations and they’re always mind blowing!

When you enter, you immediately smell a delicious bakery smell. Unfortunately, the closer you get to the counter, the darker the rolls become. First, we had a canelé. This was well risen on the inside. It was clearly baked too long at a high temperature. The edges were burnt and therefore bitter. The almond croissant was also baked for a very long time, which made it dry. For now, half-cooked on the inside with a filling that lacked flavor. Lastly, we had a brioche. This looked like white bread and tasted like it too. Maybe we got the wrong bread? Because it cannot be compared to a good brioche. Again, this was baked too long and was dry. It also had a salty taste. All in all, I am disappointed with the experience, partly due to the many positive reviews. To be honest, looking at the photos of others, we were not the only ones who received burnt items.

Good bread, delicious ice cream croissant

The taste is really delicious those croissants but maybe just maybe it could have been in the oven a little shorter. And let it rise longer? Especially the brioche. Speaking of the brioche, this looked more like a white bread than a buttery, airy brioche.

This place is insane—in the best way! They have the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life. Everything else I tried was also incredibly good. If you’re anywhere nearby or not nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it!

We went for ‘the’ TikTok cheese soufflé sandwich, well it was really delicious. The sandwich was delicious, the cheese soufflé was nice and creamy, the sauce and the pickled onions were really great. Quite a mouthful. Also a very friendly boy who helped us.

Business is very good, there is a long queue. There was a clerk who was not very professional and simply ignored us and wanted to serve the customers behind us first. There's nothing like a freshly baked donut straight from the fryer. Texture perfect. Tastes good, but I didn't really know what to think of the pepper, because it gave a nasty aftertaste afterwards. A few tips concern packaging. The eye also wants something, so for this occasion, for example, make special boxes in which donuts can be easily transported. A simple, beautiful box and a bag that has also received attention.

Coffee is amazing and the pastries are even better. I’m still dreaming about that dulce de leche croffin. I’m glad I live far from this place because i would devote my whole salary to this bakery.

Really nice spot for original and tasty sandwiches. We tried their temporary kaas soufflé sandwich — the bun was soft and fresh, and the homemade kaas soufflé itself was seriously good. Simple but really well done, with attention to flavor and texture. Also worth noting: the bakery next door has a lovely selection of breads and pastries if you’re in the mood for something sweet or to take home. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Friendly staff and amazing bakeries

I was desperate to try this croissant icecream for very long time. However, I liked the other croissant sandwich better. Icecream was also pretty nice, but icecream portion was too much that it was hard to have a bite on the croissant. I hope they can change the form into smth like gelato brioche sandwich. Just an idea 🤓

One of the Best bakeries in Amsterdam. Excellent quality, friendly staff and a bonus is that you can watch all of the workings of the bakery through the front windows. We tried the savoury and the sweet and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the seed bread!

Nice staff, but that's it. 5 euro cruffin tastes like rotten eggs, dry and way too sweet, definitely not worth it. Long line in front of the door, typical Instagram trap... too bad I was hoping for something better.

One of the TikTok hypes that is actually worth it to check. Despite the fact it was busy, line went by quickly and the staff are really well trained on taking your orders efficiently. And the food ... 10/10 worth it! The almond croissant was perhaps the best one I've ever had and I've had quite a few in my life. Didn't feel like carrying a whole loaf of bread for the rest of the day, but that's for next time.

So.good.! Everything was fabulous. Farmer sourdough loaf was huge and hearty and delicious, I can enjoy it straight up even without butter/oil/any condiments. Perfectly crispy crust, the right amount of chew and slight tang in flavor — truly the loaf of my dream 🥹. Mexican fiesta hartige croissant was (savory, duh) interesting, like eating a burrito in the form of a croissant..? I enjoyed it and I appreciate the creativity 🌯🇲🇽 Cruffin (apple, lemon, jasmine) was a showcase of skills and balance in flavor, covered in sugar but I (surprisingly) didn’t hate it. Jasmine cream was fragrant and light and creamy, in contrast to the tangy lemon compote, and all of this happenings inside a flakey buttery shell. I couldn’t taste any apple but I also might have devoured the whole thing a tad too quickly.. No seatings inside, just a couple of benches on the sidewalk. There’s a line but it moves quickly. Open kitchen which you’d get a sneak peek of what goes behind the scenes. Staff clearly work hard here. As pricey as you’d expect for Amsterdam standard, but for the quality I’ll return in a heartbeat.

Delicious and honest sourdough bread (choice between longer or shorter baked) and delicious croissants. Not exactly cheap, but definitely worth it. They make everything themselves and use honest and beautiful ingredients. There is always a long line, but it is cleared very quickly. Unfortunately, thanks to TikTok, there are extremely long lines at the moment because of their cheese soufflé sandwich (also made completely “from scratch” so I'm sure it's really delicious). I'm going to try this myself by the way. Now also a seating area for people who live far away or just want to eat all that delicious food right away.

It is freshly made, alight. But you never get fresh. Warm remains in baking tray aisle while they give you cold from the shelf. So pointless actually.

The barista managed to empty the whipped cream canister into his mouth twice. The food is 10/10 and the atmosphere is busy, but pleasant.
