It's inside the Albert Kuyff Market. It's right next to the fish fry place, and the line is long, so you can find it quickly. The staff is very cheerful and helpful, and they kindly ask where it's from. It's made quickly so it's warm, and it's a bit hard to eat two in a row (because they're so sweet). I bought the finished product, and the one that's made quickly is big and delicious. I really like this market atmosphere, but if you're not going to buy anything else and just want to eat something, it would be good.

Finally a stroopwafel with a good thick dollop of syrup that drips out of your stroopwafel. This is really the best I have ever tasted and as a stroopwafel is meant to be. And that for a small normal price. Staff is super friendly and chats with everyone.

Tried Rudi’s Original Stroopwafels at the Albert Cuyp Market and they were incredible! Freshly made right in front of you — warm, gooey, and full of caramel goodness. The texture was perfect: thin, slightly crispy, and chewy in the middle.

The best stroopwafel I ate in Amsterdam. I saw several people recommending this place, so I decided to try it, and it was incredible. The stroopwafel had undoubtedly the best flavor of all the ones I've had, and it was an excellent price, €3, unlike the tourist traps near the center.

Luckily I came by here right before they opened, so I didn't have to wait. The guys are super friendly and fun and the waffle was just amazing. Never had a freshly made stroopwafel before and I was blown away.

Friendly and cheerful service, who also seemed to enjoy their work! We only had to wait a relatively short time. The chocolate coating wasn't chocolatey enough for me, though, and it tasted better cold than warm.

Rudi’s Original Stroopwafels is a family-run food truck that has been serving freshly baked stroopwafels made with a traditional Gouda recipe at Albert Cuyp Market since 1978. 🍪 You can taste the hot waffles baked right after you order them, and they tell you that they are best eaten when the syrup is warm and flowing. They sell original and chocolate waffles, as well as takeout packs (10, 15 mini, 10 Delft Blue tins). I chose chocolate, and it was half-and-half, so I could enjoy both the original and chocolate. However, the chocolate was a bit sweet and dripping, so it was a bit inconvenient to eat while walking. It’s hard to find anything special about chocolate, so I personally recommend the original during this hot season. If I were to rate the taste of the waffles here, they were stroopwafels that used strong spices, had a moderate sweetness, and emphasized high-quality dough and butter content. The waffles are thin and soft, and the syrup has a strong cinnamon flavor, which is nice. The only regret is that it seems to be at the center of excessive tourist-centered commercialization and high-price policies. I wish it was cheaper in the local market. I would 100,000% visit again. A friend who had been to the Netherlands praised stroopwafels so much that I thought he was being too enthusiastic at first. I thought it wouldn’t suit my taste like apple pie, but it wasn’t like that at all. It’s a food truck-like stroopwafel shop located in Albert Kuip Market that has been in business for three generations since 1978. Two warm and gentle men who look like father and son were diligently making waffles. They don’t sell anything else but stroopwafels, and they only have two types of stroopwafels: original and chocolate. The price is reasonable at 2.5 euros for the original and 3.5 euros for the chocolate, and they also accept card payments. I ordered a chocolate stroopwafel, and it was made right away. They spread caramel syrup on a thin sheet of freshly baked, hot waffle dough, covered it with another sheet, and then spread chocolate on top. The characteristic was that the waffle batter was very thin, and because of that, it looked completely different from Belgian waffles. It felt like a combination of hotteok and waffle, and the taste was actually a bit like that. The batter, which looked so thin and tattered, had a surprising charm of crumbling when you took a bite. Soon, hot caramel syrup flowed out from inside, emitting an extremely sweet and fragrant aroma. The caramel syrup melted in my mouth as it mixed with the batter, and even after it disappeared, it left a deep flavor. It was a little greasy, but when chocolate syrup was added, it was creepily sweet and delicious. PS. If you eat it often, you might get diabetes.

The shop is inside the Albert Cuyp Market, which like Ladies’ Market in Hong Kong, very touristic. Rudi’s Stroopwafel is worth a try. Freshly made. Love it. There’s a short queue, but they serve with speed. Staff is very friendly.

A simple stall in a street market but serving the best stropwafel I have tasted. To be honest I have only tried a few but price-wise snd taste-wise this is the best one.

BEST stroopwafels we tasted on the whole trip, as we tried to taste as many different ones as possible, that's saying something. Fantastically delicious, and incredibly charming and friendly staff who joked and chatted a little extra. We came back in the afternoon and they waved at us when we walked past again, they had remembered us and continued talking and joking. 10/10 for the waffles and 10/10 for the staff, exactly the kind of people who should be at a market! It was also reasonably priced, 3 euros per fresh stroopwafel.

We tried the typical Dutch waffles. The dough is thin and has a delicious hint of cinnamon. They're filled with chocolate, and you can add more on top. They're served freshly made. The staff is very friendly.

Permanent market stall / caravan. Brothers are full sellers. It is closed 3 days a week. They come sometime on other days. If you find it, you can buy it. We will look at the next matches and days. It is not possible more than luck.

I visited this place after reading good reviews online. I went around 1 PM and there were only two groups ahead of me, so I didn’t have to wait long. (I noticed a line forming when I left, so I think I got lucky with the timing.) They make each order fresh, so you get it piping hot. The caramel inside is really gooey, so be careful to hold it upright or it might spill out. It was very tasty.

A very touristy thing to do but for good reason! The stroopwafels are genuinely delicious and freshly made so different to your packaged variety. The queue goes down pretty quickly and the guys running the stall keep you entertained anyway.

Probably the most popular stall in the entire street. The staff was super sweet and chatty and welcoming - and this was to everyone! Considering the long line, I'm impressed they are able to maintain this momentum. That said, stroopwafel is likely not for me - too sweet. Though that's how stroopwafel are supposed to be, so I'm not taking a star from this shop. They prepare the stroopwafel on the spot - from the wafer to the sugar coating and chocolate.

Best place for stroopwafels in Netherlands. Hot and freshly served. The ques are long but the move fast. Staff is friendly and keeps you engaged. They accept card payments. Go for the original stroopwafel without chocolate for authentic taste. You completely get transformed into another world with Rudi's stroopwafels. By far, the best stroopwafel that I've tried during my time in the Netherlands. Not only the flavour is sublime, but the experience is really worth it, it's beautiful to see the family working with so much passion, and they're super nice people. The line can seem quite big, but it moves really fast. My first visit was in 2023 and I absolutely loved it. So when I came back to the Netherlands for my exchange this year, I knew what was my first stop in Amsterdam. I strongly recommend everyone to try it.

Quite reasonable price compared to other specialists in the center. Very good and made in front of you. There are other shops that sell them on the Albert CUYPMARKT market but Rudi’s is the one to choose. I bought packs of stroopwafels from Rudi and from competitors on the market, once back home, there is no picture, Rudi's are the best.

The stroopwafels are phenomenal - delicious and rich without being too sweet and they hold together. They were also fantastic about my fiancé's hazelnut allergy - the man making the stroopwafel reassured my fiancé that there were no nuts in the recipe and changed his gloves to ensure there was no residue from the chocolate hazelnut sauce. Additionally, they were willing to accommodate selling us an entire box of stroopwafel so that our friends and family at home could enjoy our favorite Dutch treat! HIGHLY recommend Rudi's foodtruck - the best stroopwafel and supporting a wonderful family business!

You have to wait in line for a while, but when you take the first bite, you will understand that it is worth it. The seller is friendly and attentive. It is the most delicious among the Stroopwafels.

Despite the queue, which overall was quick, you can feel the authenticity of the product. Excellent price around 4 euros, depending on the additions you choose. It is also worth taking the box too: excellent as a gift.

I've been going there for a few years now.. and I've also been to lots of stroopwafel shops around Amsterdam, however Rudi's Original is hands down the best one from all. And throughout the years, the quality didn't change, this is important. Not to mention the friendly people working there, always with a smile on their face. I went to this place in the late morning and only had to wait for few mins, lucky me! Got the original one and omg it was so good!!! At first I was scared it was going to be too sweet and I was going to ask the guy to only put half caramel, but it turned out to be perfect ratio between the super thin waffle with the caramel.
