Margo's Amsterdam in Jordaan

Ordered an ice matcha latte with pea milk. It was good. First time trying pea milk, I would say it overpowers the matcha a bit too much. I would stick to coconut that I prefer. I tried the pistachio rose danish patry which was incredible. They have good pastries. But only benches outside and one inside. It’s a good to go spot.

We had a pistachio Danish pastry to share for a snack. It was delicious; we expected it to be very sweet, but instead it seemed almost like a mix of sweet and savory. It reminded us a bit of rosemary bread. We really enjoyed it.

This was the best vegan pastry I’ve had ever. I opted for the savoury pastry with Palestinian pepper. The pastry was so flaky and crispy. The iced matcha was great. The ladies serving were so friendly and helpful. I’ll have to go back again tomorrow! It’s mainly a takeaway place. There are a couple of chairs outside.

Super cute place! The employees are super friendly attentive I Had a Matcha Latte with oatmilk and a Croissant, was really good Prices are also good 5,5€ and 2,8€. Will come again! You can sit outside and enjoy the quiet street.

Great place! You can't really sit and drink coffee here. There are some seating areas (no tables on the windowsill) and some outside seating. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit. So many delicious things, so much choice, I wanted to try everything! I went for the cardamom bun with a flat white and enjoyed it. The coffee is really good, and the bun was nice and fresh, a bit crispy on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. The cardamom isn't overpowering; it's a really nice balance.

I personally find this bakery a bit overhyped. I like the pastries in the other vegan bakery (Saint Jean) a bit more

Great cafe, great food. Staff is very kind. We dropped our coffee and they gave us a new one without even asking for it. Order anything, you cant go wrong here, highly recommended.

Delicious food! Friendly staff. It's a shame they only have one bench in the sun in the morning. With a bit of shuffling, two could fit next to each other, but the staff wasn't willing to cooperate.

Amazing plant-based pastries! We had the tahini bun and the double baked pain au chocolat with hazelnut. Both were absolutely unreal, and the coffee was good too.

Please note: They stopped doing sandwiches 4 months ago, so the menus on here are out of date! There are savoury pastries and focaccias now, but no sandwiches. Everything is vegan and the focaccia was very tasty.

Delicious vegan focaccia and cute benches outside to enjoy it. Highly recommended – great shop with very friendly staff.

I just randomly walked in and I left pleasantly surprised ! Coffee is top tier and so are the baked treats- I took a sesame tahini cookie and it was heaven !!

I honestly could’ve cried tears of joy — the food at Margo's was absolutely delicious and the coffee was excellent. As a vegan, it’s rare to find a place where I can enjoy food this good without any guilt. The selection was great, and the prices were totally reasonable for the quality. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. If I had to name one tiny downside (and this goes for almost every place in Amsterdam), it would be the limited seating both indoors and outdoors. But other than that — 10/10. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Very friendly service, and the selection looked incredibly good. I had a cardamom bun, which was delicious. Unfortunately, I won't be back in Amsterdam anytime soon, but I wholeheartedly recommend the bakery.

Very nice but no so much choice

We visited early on a wednesday morning. The staff was really kind and told us beforehand that they were completely plantbased (which was the reason we were there, but it is amazing to tell everyone who might not know). We tried the iced strawberry matcha and iced latte, with the recommended pea milk, and had a kardamom bun. It was delicious and we will definitely come back!

Simply incredible! Everything we tried was delicious, it even makes you wonder, "Is it really vegan?", but of course it is! We were so happy with the discovery, and if I lived near Margo's, I think I'd eat it every day! Extremely balanced, and the Danish cream with those lemon pearls was surreal. Simply perfect. I highly recommend it! 🌱

Wowwww! This place is top tier. I’m a sucker for a good almond croissant, and my goodness, the one I had definitely made my ‘top-3’ of best almond croissants I’ve ever had. The coffee was delishhh too. Highly recommend!!

Seriously amazing. All vegan and so delicious. Made an excellent flat white and the raspberry cheesecake pastry was exquisite. Too good to stop and take a photo of, but I remembered to take one of the almond croissant...after 1 bite 😂

Amazing vegan bakery! So glad we found this place, we have been traveling in Europe for 7 weeks and this is the best bakery we have found!! Amazing baked goods, the crossiants are the best we have ever had and the coffee is actually good, up to Australian coffee standards! Vegan or not vegan you will 100 percent enjoy this place, my non vegan parents also said this was the best bakery they have ever been too. Customer service was incredible, the ladies were so friendly and lovley. 10 stars!

They offer a variety of sweet temptations, from buttery croissants to indulgent cakes, all baked fresh daily and delicious. The flavour, the filling all perfectly balanced! Super friendly atmosphere as well, can’t miss that.

They only had 3 things for sale to eat (croissant, bun, cookies). If there were more options it was not suggested. The chai late was average taste. The bun was not impressive considering that they advertise that they bake it fresh. Trash can was full to the top, and the place was not busy as an excuse. I walked over half an hour to this "vegan bakery" to be disappointed.

Insanely delicious danish. It was the PERFECT pastry. And the latte I ordered did not have a common taste yet it was really tasty. Overall 5/5 however they don’t make sandwiches anymore :(

They don’t have indoor tables, they only have benches outside. Taste is very good but if you are not close to the place, i am not sure if it worth it to come here.

Compré tres pasteles. Honestamente puedo decir que los 2 que tomé fueron los mejores pasteles que he comido. En realidad tomé uno de vuelta a Escocia e incluso después de 2 días todavía estaba crujiente después de calentar en la freidora. Si tienes intolerancia a los lácteos, este es el lugar para comprar tus pasteles. La señora que me atendió fue muy amable y servicial. Recomiendo encarecidamente venir aquí si estás en Amsterdam.

Margo's es con diferencia el mejor lugar en el que he comido en Amsterdam. Los pasteles (he probado el bollo de tahini, croissant y rosa pistacho) y las focaccias son deliciosos y el personal es acogedor y muy agradable. Las bebidas son igual de buenas - prueba el tahini latte de jazmín en un día frío y verás de lo que estoy hablando! Envolverlo es vegano y realmente accesible. Los precios son justos y te permiten probar diferentes cosas. 😊

Absolutely the best Vegan Bakery in Amsterdam. Staff are incredibly nice, the food is spectacular and the drinks are nice and refreshing. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Margo's in Amsterdam is a real gem. You notice that everything is done with care and love - from the furnishings to the food itself. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. The coffee is top notch and the dishes are slightly different from standard, with surprising combinations and beautiful presentation. It's also nice that there are good options for vegetarians and people with dietary requirements. You feel welcome here, whether you come for an extensive breakfast, a quiet workplace or just a coffee and something tasty. Definitely a place I like to visit!

My husband and I stopped at Margo’s and purchased the focaccia and the cheese croissant. All items are Margo’s are vegan which was the main reason we stopped there. We ate the focaccia for lunch, and it had red pepper and a pesto-like sauce on it. It was delicious. The only regrets we had were splitting it and not getting our own! The croissant was buttery and flaky. We rarely find vegan croissants in the U.S. so it is such a delight finding vegan croissants in other countries. Definitely add Margo’s to your list of vegan places to go to in Amsterdam!

El personal - somos acogedores, no tuvimos una gran interacción, pero no hay problemas en absoluto, Comida - bueno, vinimos aquí dos veces en 3 días para el desayuno, así que eso responde a lo agradable que fue. Hemos tenido una selección que incluye jamón y queso croissant, Pain au chocolat y pistacho Crossaint. Todos eran de un buen tamaño y sabían increíble. Recomiendo.

We loved it. The ambience is simple and elegant, which will put your mind at ease. Also, the croissant was beyond delicious.

I had an exceptional experience at Margo's Bakery. Everything I tried was spot on. The vegan raspberry danish and the vegan lemon danish were delicious, the cream was quite refreshing and decadent, and beautifully presented. The two iced specialty coffees were also excellent. Customer service was outstanding, deserving 10 stars, and the place inside was super clean! It was a lovely sunny day, we sat outside and had an amazing time! I definitely recommend it.

Although the toasted sub looks small, I am still very full after eating one. Danish is not as amazing as expected, but the latte is delicious! The store staff are also super friendly~~ And this restaurant is basically for takeout (there are only two benches on the window sill inside the store and outside), so be careful if you want to sit and rest.

We went back the next day for more treats, and I tried the katsu sandwich - wonderful! Everything we got was enjoyed by me (the vegan) and the meat eaters in our group. I think my favorite treat waa the matcha cookie. My partners favorite was the chocolate chip cookie. We also enjoyed the cinnamon roll. We also had lattes. Very good. Excellent all around.

The bakery is just great. We were in Amsterdam for a few days and just had to go more often. The pastries taste great. We had a ham and cheese croissant, a chocolate croissant and pastries. It tasted heavenly. I would go back at any time.

Buenas opciones en bebidas y bollería, con embalaje sostenible para llevar (bolsas de papel, sin plástico, sin pegatinas). Personal amable y acogedor! Tengo su galleta matcha y galleta tahini. Ambas galletas eran bastante sutiles en sabor y dulce pero pesado, probaría otra cosa la próxima vez. Pero los precios son excelentes en sus artículos y acogedor, interior.

Seriously one of the most delicious croissants I’ve ever had! Buttery, flaky, everything you would ask for. The Katsu was delicious as well. Super balanced, lots of flavor and filling! Everyone that works there was super friendly and took their job seriously. Really comfortable atmosphere overall. We went to Margo’s every day of our weekend trip and I must say it was truly one of the highlights of the stay! Wish I would’ve gotten more, but now there’s a reason for another Amsterdam stay :)
