Very good ramen, good service, and a functional atmosphere – sufficient for a quick meal. There's usually a queue, which is generally a good sign. The ramen is on the pricier side, but just about acceptable.

We came asking for a table for 2 people on a Sunday evening. It was very busy so we had to wait 15 minutes or so but once inside the food came very quickly. They have vegetarian and gluten free options for mains and side dishes. Cute place to check out!

Ramen was just okay; not terrible, not great. Wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend.

We had stomach issues after eating there. The ramen soups are super oily. The Chasiu are boiled and boring.

I had the vegan Tan Tan Men and my spouse had the Hakata tonkotsu ramen—we both agreed it was one of the best ramens we’ve had in Europe.

On a miserable day, with horizontal wind and rain, sitting down and eating excellent ramen was a real treat. The Japanese dumplings we had as an appetizer were also very good. Let's just say the place is small and very simple, with fairly quick and basic service. There's always a long line, but we were lucky—by a hair! It's worth a stop if you love ramen.

I got their anniversary ramen and was one of the better ramens I have ever had. Super-flavorful and should’ve gotten more of the pork and an extra egg, both were delicious!

The ramen is good. The ingredients are high quality. The broths are very creamy and thick (something to consider depending on your taste). Expect to pay between €16 and €20 for a bowl of ramen. One small negative point: our waitress seemed really blasé and didn't talk to us, which is a shame because it made the service less pleasant. The other waiter, however, was very friendly!

The ramen here is very tasty, and they offer a dedicated gluten-free menu featuring gluten-free noodles and broth (options that are hard to find in this type of establishment). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are fair. I definitely recommend it for everyone.

There was a long wait, service was fast but the process of getting in was a bit slow. The ramen was good and delicious. It felt like I was in Japan.

Soup was cold when I got it, not even warm and the server said there was nothing they could do about it. I had to ask for extra broth to combine it and make it lukewarm. Noodles were hard because the broth was cold. Honestly gross and poor service. Still charged me full and took 45 minutes to get the bill. Spent 2 hours there to eat 1 bowl of cold soup, there’s about 8 tables so I can’t imagine why the service is so bad

The place was recommended to us by Italian students we'd asked for a good, non-touristy meal. The place is very small; you arrive and write your name and the number of people in your party on a piece of paper outside. They offer various tastings and gyoza, but the ramen is the star, with various variations and three different portion sizes. Really good, considering Japan as a benchmark. Prices were average; we had dinner with appetizers and ramen, plus drinks and beer, for €30 per person.

Delicious ramen, quick and friendly service. Good for 1-2 maybe 4 people but no more. Located on a busy corner, easy to get to from public transport. Open kitchen concept, €18 for the large ramen.

Small space, okay, but really not practical. Small table and stool (nowhere to put our things/coats). We felt like we were bothering the servers, who were rude to us (no thanks, please, etc.). We ordered chicken ramen, and it was bland. The egg was undercooked, there were pieces of chicken in bulk, and both plates had tough bones. Very little variety of vegetables. We didn't finish our plates, even though we were both feeling sick. And all that for a €20 plate! Surprisingly, it was recommended in a tourist guide. I think they must have changed staff since then...

The ramen is absolutely delicious!! The gyozas are also excellent. Don't hesitate to sign up on the sheet at the entrance; it's worth the wait of a few minutes to enjoy a great bowl of ramen. The ingredients are fresh, and the service is efficient and very friendly.

Best ramen I've had in the city, reasonably priced, good and quick service. Nothing to add.

We arrived at noon, they let us in even though there was a closed sign, we waited a little outside. It was delicious, satisfying, a pleasant, homely atmosphere, welcoming service, fast and simply pleasant. The ramen is excellent. Really worth it.

It’s nothing super special, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to my friends and definitely not wait hours in a que for it. The ramen, chicken, and broth were good, but I felt like the toppings were quite blank. It could’ve used some spring onion or some more veggies in general. I really enjoyed the side dish miso glazed eggplant though, however for 8,50 the portion was super small. The girl serving us was not smiling or friendly. Just did her job. So yeah, if you really want a quick and easy ramen it’s allright, but don’t expect fireworks ;)

The ramen is delicious, the soup is rich, and the Japanese ramen chicken wings with a very different taste are a must-try.

The food is pretty good and the staff was nice, although I wish it was disclosed clearly beforehand that service is not included in the fee. I only noticed after paying without tip, which just made me feel a bit awkward

Excellent meal, the service was fast. We sat on the terrace and had ramen and gyoza. The dishes are rich and comforting, everything you look for when eating a hot meal ☺️

The vegetarian ramen was very tasty, though not the best I've tried in Amsterdam. Price-wise I was happy to see that there are more affordable options in the menu. The service was lovely, no comment on that. Overall certainly recommend coming here if you're in the area craving good ramen.

Make sure to get there before 8:30 p.m. and get your name on the waitlist. Reservations are closed after that, good system that works well! Service and food are awesome! Last drinks order by 9 p.m. as the kitchen starts to close down.

This place was excellent! Big big fan of this joint. And the service was elite. We got a table outside and it was absolutely lovely.

Me and my partner had food here a while ago and though it was good we felt very sick shortly after. I believe there would have been something wrong with the started dish that we shared as we both felt like we got food poisoning afterwards. It is a shame that this happened but I don’t think it was handled well by the restaurant managers sadly. Over the phone we were told to send a dm or write an email, and even though I did both I never got a response. This makes me feel like we were not taken serious, and though we were told over the phone we would get a refund for the meal this never happened. Definitely a shame as this was a cute spot!

Small place for a quick ramen, there seems to be always queue but goes quite fast. Plenty of vegan option, gyoza were great! Ramen was tasty, will go again to try the non spicy version

Udon itself is decent, quality meat. They messed up the order two times and it took nearly two hours to get the bowl of udon. Really disorganized and you can hear it by the way the staff talks to each other. The slowest udon in the world no doubt.

It was more like a fusion dish than a traditional Japanese-style ramen. I guess my expectations were too high.

Nos han echado a la hora en punto hayamos terminado o no de comer. Han sido muy desagradables a la hora de irnos una chica china o japonesa. aproximadamente media hora antes de la hora del cierre y nada más entrar nos han indicado que a las 3:30 cerraban. Nos hemos cogido comida rápida y la verdad es que la comida no ha tardado mucho en llegar. La calidad era bastante mediocre. Mi hija ha pedido un bidón con curry y no nos ha gustado nada. No tenían muchos de los productos de la carta y el servicio ha sido muy desagradable.

The dining room was pretty, so we gave in. And the dishes looked appetizing. But in the end, the dishes were tasteless. I had the miso noodles, and my friend had the chicken noodles. The pasta was mushy and tasteless. The broth had a slight miso flavor that you couldn't taste when you ate it with the pasta. Both of our dishes weren't spicy enough. I didn't eat my tofu; it really wasn't good. We forced ourselves to finish our dishes. Disappointed with our last dinner in Amsterdam.

High expectations, but a nice chunk of onion in the middle of the ramen. It was good, although I found it a bit bland. It's not one of the best I've had in Amsterdam, but I'll go back to see if it's just temporary. Good service. The interior lacks some ventilation. Some fans would be nice.

I tried the classic Shio Ramen (without pork), prepared with chashu chicken, spinach, scallions, egg, bean sprouts, and kombu, and I was delighted. The flavor is spectacular, the portion size is perfect, and each ingredient feels fresh and well-balanced. The place is also incredible: despite being small and having to wait to be seated, it has a very relaxed atmosphere, with great music and a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and make you feel very comfortable. It was a delicious experience and I highly recommend it. If I ever return to Amsterdam, I would definitely come back!

My wife and I were visiting Amsterdam from London, UK, for the weekend. We had lunch at Fou Fow Ramen Elandsgracht on 29 June 2025. Even though the restaurant was busy, the food, service, and ambience were 1st class. Unfortunately, we left a small parcel which I had bought for my wife. My friends and I were making our way to another ramen place (but realized it was closed that day) when we stumbled upon this gem. We were a table of three—two of which are vegetarian. They had great vegan/vegetarian options. Will order the lemon ginger ramen next time. 5 stars!

We went there really spontaneous for dinner and were happy that they still had a table for us. The restaurant is really cute and it has nice seating space outside (many people walk through it, a bit annoying). The menu offered many vegan options which was really nice! The ramen were okay but nothing special (the noodles were fine but the tofu didnt taste really fresh). All in all it was quiet okay and the prices were reasonable.

It’s our favourite spot to eat ramen. You can feel that the broth has been properly boiled for several hours, as it should be. The taste is amazingly rich and delicious.

Too bad a waiter made openly racist remarks about me, as if I didn't understand English, and took me for a refugee. You will learn, my dear, that dignity lies in justice. Anyway, my apologies, after all it is my fault that the Netherlands is being hit by a wave of emigration. I took them all with me in my suitcase to bring them back to your restaurant. That said, the memory of the umami taste remains unmatched to this day, so my great respect for the kitchen team that offers an exceptional product. Only the waiter still needs to be replaced :)

Kimchi, aubergine(!) and ramen were all delicious. Recommend the ginger beer as well and service was great.

Always a break point for a quick meal in a tactical position with an average price, fast service... a little wait for the food, much more to sit down... go early, you have to get on the list

Delicious Vegetarian Ramen! This place reminds me of the crowded heated pho restaurants in Vietnam and the quality is almost as good. The vegetarian broth was so flavourful, it was maybe slightly a bit too salty but delicious. The noodles were chewy yet perfect for the bowl. A bowl will cost you €16.40 for a classic but the portion is generous. The ambiance is nice as it’s chill for a friend catchup or a nice place for solo dining. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options! It's fine but wouldn't come back, the soup base has no depth so it gets boring after a few bites. I also found the chicken char siu very boring, otherwise the staff are friendly!

Slightly overrated. We had tantanmen and miso ramen, which were okay. The char siu disappointed me. It was a pain to eat. We had kimchi as a side dish, and the gyoza was great. The service could be a bit friendlier. Not a place worth waiting in line for.

Probably my favorite place to eat in Amsterdam for the last year and a half. All ramens are great, size large is amazing, I get a proper meal! People working there and kind and warm and atmosphere is always good and cozy, as many people are enjoying themselves!

I had shio ramen and the broth was a bit bland and boring the meat was taste less and it came, just out of the fridge, cold. My friend had ramen with raw onion as topping.. the strong taste killed al the other flavours. Also i have never seen ramen with raw onion...

Touristic trash 1) They will forget your order and will never apologise for it 2) Knowledge of the menu of a waiter: - what's inside veggy's gyodza? - i don't know, cabbage and something - you don't know? - no, I don't Beware, touristic filthy hole

It is really good, ill try other menu next time. but why the hakata has onions inside? it taste weird. i dont think it is common to have hakata with onions.. and the noodle should be thinner for hakata no? but next ill try the original...

I was genuinely shocked at the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE here (by a waitress with a darker complexion – the only way I can distinguish her)! I’ve never experienced anything of the kind in all my time in Amsterdam! 1) I ordered chicken ramen with gluten-free noodles, but was not informed that it would be served without chicken. 2) When I asked why the chicken was missing, that waitress responded rudely with, “I don’t know!” After a short pause, she added, “I’ll check.” A few minutes later, she returned and told me the absence of chicken was due to my gluten-free request – something that was not communicated to me when ordering. 3) I asked if chicken could be added separately. She reluctantly said she would check. A few minutes later, she returned to serve other customers but gave me no update. When I asked again, she rudely answered: “Yes, you have to wait. I have other things to do too, and it takes time.” 4) When the chicken finally arrived, it was COMPLETELY COLD – clearly straight from the fridge – and tasted STALE. I’ve never had ramen served with cold meat before. The male waiter stepped in and reheated it upon request. I wasn’t the only one frustrated. The two ladies at the table next to me were also left waiting far too long for their food, and they were complaining. I will not be returning. The service was unacceptable! Your staff needs serious training. If this continues, you will keep losing more customers. Such a shame!

Nunnagasa ramen is delicious if you don't have high requirements for the soup base. But the ramen is too soft. I prefer hard noodles so I don’t like the noodles. The slow-cooked chicken is just fine, the whole ramen is just right, don’t ask for too much 😆

Wir waren aufgrund einer Empfehlung im Reiseführer da. Wir fanden es laut, überteuert und nicht wirklich lecker. Eine junge Dame im Service war sehr sympathisch, die übrigen fanden wir eher abweisend. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir vermutlich eine andere Ramen-Bar aussuchen.

Delicious. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and friends, 10/10. The glazed eggplant with miso sauce was spectacular. On the table you can find free sesame seeds and chili oil. Very rich, highly recommended.

Normaal gesproken heerlijk en goede services, al 10x geweest. Vandaag slecht personeel en eten was echt de helft als normaal. Aangegeven bij het personeel en gaf een indrukt dat het haar niks interesseerde. Zonde…. Wij slaan het voortaan over!

Worst ramen in Amsterdam! Tonkatsu ramen was so salty I had to ask for hot water to dilute but still salty after adding a glass of hot water.

The basic Ramen portions are normal and will suffice with the starters. The large Ramen plates are really filling and more than enough even without the extra starter plate. Sugar free tea reallllly sugar free, not like standart sugar free tea can from market. I haven't come across a very special taste, but if you prefer ramen to fill your stomach during the day, it's definitely a restaurant to go to in Jordan. the service is fast and the staff are generally friendly.

Take a detour to this superb restaurant dedicated to ramen 😍 Narrow and friendly room, the decor is refined. Several varieties of dishes are available, in three sizes each depending on the number of ingredients you want. We had the Shio Ramen Classic and the Tonkotsu Ramen Classic. Both dishes were excellent. The quantities are generous, you will enjoy it!

The food was quite good! The dumplings were delicious, and the ramen was decent. We went with a stroller and a toddler (which I’d say was quite brave of us), but the staff was very friendly and did their best to help us get settled!

Another classic case in Amsterdam of amazing reviews and mediocre food. This is an extremely overrated Ramen spot. There are at least 2/3 places in Amsterdam that are much better. Ramen here is bland, the broth has not very much flavour. Very disappointed.

Very good ramen in Amsterdam ! You just need to register at the entrance for the waiting list and they will come after you when it’s your turn. A bit expensive but totally worth it.
