This place is recommended! The chicken has a nice smokey flavor and the fries are very good. Crispy and hot. I always order, so I don’t know how the atmosphere is.

Had to wait abit but WOW. So fresh and delicious. Great quality chicken and produce. Was the highpoint meal for our entire week in Amsterdam!

The chicken lacked flavor and juiciness, more forgettable than fiery. The fries were limp and bland, a complete miss. With so many better spots in De Pijp, this one is easy to skip.

We are real Nandosians and tried our best to find something like Nando’s in Amsterdam. However, the experience exceeded our expectations! Half chicken with butter lemon sauce was mesmerizing! Their rice and chips were also very nice + the girl serving us was also a very nice person!

This went from being a restaurant making one of the juiciest and most delicious grilled chicken to one of the driest and tasteless. It used to be really great but lately that has changed. I hope they go back to what they were but I am not optimistic about trying their food again any time soon. Just to be fair, we ordered it at home so maybe their delivery quality is just bad. The chicken is very boring and the fries were stale and tasteless. Also piri piri salt for the fries on the side? Fries need to be salted immediately when they come out of the frier. This is basic!

The Piri Piri Chicken is definitely a contender for the best chicken in town. Just the right amount of spicy kick super juicy. Solid amount of food great for on the go eating.

Always a waiting time always cold. Back in the day they did not have this problem. The delivery guy is forever waiting at the resto edit it gets worse they don't even start making your order only when they feel like it

Mwah. Tastes the same as rotisserie chicken from outside any butcher's. The sauce is thin, not hot and unimpressive. The chicken 'bitterbal' was OK. The tomatoes tasteless, onion too big pieces and too much. Won't be coming back

Terribly bad service. Ordered food and it took a very long time, so I called to ask where it was. I mentioned that if it took too long, I would cancel the order and call them. Then, after about an hour, it was finally on its way — only for the restaurant to cancel the order. I called and asked what they were doing. I placed the order again, and then it took another 45 minutes. In short, I waited almost 2 hours for the food. Food is fine but pretty cold.

Their chicken are awesome. You just have to be patience. They have tons of delivery orders. When I was there they warned me it will be a 50 minutes wait on the food. But it was worth it.

Nice Portuguese place for a flaming chicken. Chicken had a good flavor and both sauces added something and were tasty. The fries were crispy. The Portuguese bread was a disappointment, quite pricey for some normal bread with some olive oil and butter. If you want to eat something quickly, this is a good option, it is self-service, which is a shame for these prices, but this could change. Employee was certainly friendly! I give it a 7/10, not exceptional but excellent chicken, well flavored and the fries are nice and crispy. Drink I recommend a guarana....Thank me later✌🏽

We went to this restaurant on recommendation during our stay in Amsterdam and the experience was incredible. Aesthetically, the place is very beautiful, you climb some stairs to the top to sit down to eat and the food is simply spectacular, one of the best chickens I have ever tasted in my life. I ordered the lemon butter chicken and I loved it. Without a doubt when I return to Amsterdam I will repeat

Really tasty portugues style chicken, we were looking to eat for a while. And we found this place by accident. It was an really pleasant surprise. Super tasty chicken and nice staff. I really recommend this place. They even have Brazilian Soda" Guarana " which is Worth tasting ! 🤤🤤🤤 We ate two people for less than 20 euros.

Juicy chicken and both the kitchen and the staff are authentic Portuguese. Fast and specially prepared for take-away.

Great discovery. Authentic Portuguese flamed chicken. Juicy, tender, intact not burnt skin. Cooked to order. Really well done. Sauces are available. It's so good you don't even need one. The salad is also as Portuguese as it can gets. Forget the soggy lettuce, here you will get flavorful red tomato, well seasoned with oregano and olive oil. We didn't had the fries, but the piri-piri ones are famous. If that's your thing, try them. Franggo cannot do wrong. Unpretentious place, friendly service. They also offer take-away. Alcoholic drinks are not served. A good choice if you are around or you are looking for your Portuguese-fix.

Franggo is a really cool place that reminded me of nandos from the UK. The guy serving us was very friendly and gave us complimentary custard tarts. The chicken tasted great and the peri peri sauce was not too hot. The custard tart tasted amazing. Thanks, we'll be back

My chicken breast was cut in nearly half definitely not impressed, every time I seem to go there the chicken is getting smaller and now they not even giving my full portion I paid for.

We hebben via een bezorgdienst hier een hele kip besteld met patat. Na 5 kwartier werd het pas bezorgd. Daar kunnen zij niks aan doen, echter was de kip niet alleen koud maar ook droog en mini klein, we hadden een lekkere sappige forse kip verwacht maar we kregen allen maar vier mini stukjes kip die niet te eten was, we hebben allen weggegooid. Hier haal ik nooit meer iets af!

First off, service was good. Greeted right upon entering and order was taken. The half chicken with the peri peri sauce hit the spot. I thought the sauce was flavorful and not too spicy/hot. Got rice to go with it, as I'd had too many fries in the past week. It was nice, fragrant, not just a bland serving of rice. I'd definitely come back.

The food was amazing, very authentic Portuguese chicken, the bread was very good, which is kinda difficult to find in Amsterdam, the place has a few seats upstairs we were the only ones there and it's mostly to take away. They also have Compal Juices a Portuguese brand that I missed a lot.

We had two versions of the peri peri chicken. Both were very average.

De 4 pessoas, 3 consideraram muito bom e um Bom. So tem 3 opções. Molhos razoáveis, porção bem servida, batatas fritas crocantes. Local beeeem simples. Banheiro sofrível. Preço um pouco alto para o local e serviço. 23 euros por pessoa.

Very tasty and fast chicken, but quite cold air came in through the windows (they were closed)

Ermmm... as roast chicken, it was OK. But as Portuguese peri peri chicken, it was terrible!!! No spice, no chilli, no garlic, no flavour at all beyond salt...... The sauce they gave was also really watery??? Isn't the sauce meant to be a paste with minced herbs, garlic, chilli and paprika?? It looked like orange/ red water and had no flavour at all. If you just want plain roast chicken, then it is fine. The chicke is at least cooked correctly and not over cooked or dry. But they have not marinated the chicken in anything and they really need to rethink their peri peri recipe.

Quality chicken, made with love. For me something is missing but can't pin it down. The whole chicken can be easily shared. It's very easy to get full real quick. Clean bathroom and fast service.

Kip was gaar maar de piri piri saus had ik zelf een flesje van Haal het normaal in Zaandam deze is echt de Portugese frango piri piri De tomaten salade was ook niet te vergelijken met de de Portugese

Meerdere keren gegeten hier. Altijd tevreden! Wij bestellen altijd 1 menu met 1 side (rijst) en een menu met 2 sides (rijst en patat) en dit is meer dan genoeg voor twee personen. Prima porties. Zeker proberen waard on beide sauzen te mixen!

Frango is een hele goede kip tent. Lekkere kip en een mooie tent. Een nadeel bijna al het personeel is Engels. Voor een 12 jarige als ik is dat niet heel handig, maar het personeel is super lief.
