For me, one of the best grilled chickens in Holland, with a typical Portuguese flavor, and they never disappoint. I highly recommend the chicken drumsticks because they are ridiculously good 😃

We ordered a lot of times at Frango but yesterday we Ordered a chicken . It was just black, dry and not tasty at all. I called to ask for a refund but they said that i only can call for a new order and that they would give me everything that I wanted. So today I called to place a new order and they said you need to pick it up. So here we are. A really bad review, that’s the only thing we could do. Normally I don’t do bad reviews at all. But this one is really needed. The phone call was disrespectful and not friendly.

Everything was fine at the restaurant, the food was very tasty, but the value for money wasn't great.

It’s a fantastic place to have charcoal-grilled chicken. I come here every other week for takeaway. It's usually about a 10-minute wait.

The chicken was quite tasty but the place was let down by other factors. The staff were inattentive, the menus were sticky, and the fries were very basic straight from the freezer. It could be improved but they need to decide if they're a restaurant or take away.

The food is great but the service trully terrible. We waiter more than 25 mins to get the food, had to ask for the plates. They do a lot of delivery and it seems those who come to eat in do not have priority.

Unfortunately, we couldn't eat chicken because they lost the receipt after waiting 50 minutes. I might order online sometime. Drinks were on the house. No apologies or anything, but oh well.

Delicious grilled chicken. The side dish rice with the Frango Mix sauce was a perfect addition. And the wine was handled beautifully. I will definitely come back in the future!

The food is nice, though. A woman who has been working there for a while comes across as so haughty and has never said thank you or goodbye, and even when I clearly said have a nice day, she walked away immediately—the lady who doesn't speak Dutch.

I stood waiting at the checkout for at least 10 minutes while the employee stood there chatting pleasantly in his own language. Meanwhile, I was completely ignored, even though I just wanted to be helped. Even after the previous customer had finished paying, I still had to keep waiting before it was my turn. This is really not good service and comes across as very unprofessional. I expect staff to pay attention to waiting customers and help them on time. In the end, I left.

Good chicken. Tried it often. Piri salted fries a bit too salty. Somewhat pricey but hey, it's Amsterdam (22 euros for chicken, fries, sauce and a drink)

Only one guy took orders from guests online and in the restaurant, still prepared food, and served the food. The food was amazing and he is very efficient and fast. I don't think it's fair for just one person to do everything

I ordered food via Thuisbezorgd. It took well over two hours and they didn't answer the phone. I almost ate the delivery person when he stood at the door. Don't do this again.

Arrived and greeted by a friendly member of staff. Ordered our food and it came promptly. Food was great and well prepared. Would highly recommend visiting Franggo.

I order from here at least twice a month (favorite guilty pleasure). Delivery is fast and reliable. The chicken is sooo juicy and flavorful! The Franggo rice is a must-try.

Very good chicken with a nice char from the BBQ and good sauce. Crispy fries. Wine reasonably priced. Friendly service. Update: ordered for pickup, it took a long time to receive the food but they were very busy so I understood. They were apologetic and gave us a free drink and dessert to compensate for the wait which was very nice of them. The food was excellent as usual.

I order online sometimes and the chicken is really awesome but the sauce makes no sense its just oil with flavor... which is a shame because you could just use the chicken sauce from the roast or a sort of normal sauce and it would be amazing.

My husband took me to Franggo yesterday for Valentine's Day. This was our first time. We definitely recommend eating here! Chicken restaurant with affordable prices, nice and tasty piri-chicken portugueses style and portugese beer. Te place is quiet and cozy.

Ate at Franggo in Amsterdam, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We waited a little over twenty minutes, ordered, and paid at the bar. The two of us paid €21.80 each and each got half a chicken. It came with a portion of home-cut fries that were absolutely delicious. We also got a baked potato that was a bit hard, but perfectly acceptable. The chicken was absolutely horribly mixed with butter and piri-piri sauce, topped with a lemon. The rice was perfectly soft and flavorful. The mayonnaise and ketchup were also just fine. Everything was super fresh, and for the price, the food was truly amazing. Drinks included! The service was good, and everything we saw being served at other tables looked delicious, too, like the tomato and onion salad and corn on the cob. It had a nice, cozy atmosphere and a cool Portuguese churrasco chicken concept. A truly amazing place, a 10 out of 10, in my opinion.

The best Portuguese flame grilled chicken in Amsterdam, i would definitely recommend mix sauce (both piri-piri and lemon-garlic), it’s really tasty with their franggo rice. Just had an incredible experience at Franggo West on Clercstraat. I ordered food through Thuisbezorgd: 3 chicken menus, 3 rice menus, and 3 fries. Delivery took 1.5 hours, and when it arrived, we received the wrong order. After calling to say we'd received the wrong order, the man on the phone immediately blamed Thuisbezorgd, even though the receipt in the bag was different from the one stapled to the bag. After calling, he said I could pick it up. Upon arrival, the man looked surprised that I had even come and started sighing when I told him the order was wrong. I took both receipts to prove the order was actually wrong. At this point, the man got angry and said I'd already received "part of the order" and refused to give him the whole order. I then had an argument with the man, and believe it or not, after that, I saw him spit in my food. He's an absurd man, and I hope he gets fired. I am furious.

Dined in at the pijp location before, now ordered for delivery here. The chicken was just as flavourful and juicy as in my previous experience, having it delivered did not lower the quality. The only thing I did not like was that you had to add the sauces/spices yourself. For example, the very liquidy butter sauce was not yet put on the chicken and was honestly a huge mess to add, better that they just add the right amount of sauce at the restaurant so I can immediately start eating.

Good chicken most of the time, but record holders in terms of inflation, a menu 1 was under 10€ less than 5 years ago and is now almost 18€…very hard to justify this kind of extreme inflation

When we arrived around 5:30 PM, the restaurant was empty. Which was nice for me, but if you enjoy socializing, maybe from 7 PM onward, more people will arrive. Even though the staff apologized, and we're not the most difficult people, I have to say I'm disappointed with how it went. We all had the chicken first, and after about 15 minutes, the side. Which was a real shame, because now I had dry fries. I would have preferred to have them with the chicken and sauce. And just eating half a chicken without anything on the side wasn't good either. I couldn't enjoy it. This is because it's simply too busy with takeaways. I think it's too much and there aren't enough staff. I think people already in the restaurant should have priority. Something's not right. There was only one table occupied. I heard the staff member apologize there as well. So I think this needs to be addressed. The staff work hard and are very friendly. The only downside was the restroom. My shoes literally stuck to the floor, and there was no toilet paper. I think, as a staff member, you should be there around dinnertime, when you're most likely to see people coming in. The toilet could use a good cleaning. I wouldn't come back here again. I thought 72 euros was a lot for something we didn't enjoy. It was nice to have tried, but not for us.

The food is halal. We had half grilled chicken with piri piri sauce and half grilled chicken with lemon butter sauce, and both were very delicious. The rice was also really tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better

Very good Portuguese chicken, with traditional sides. Charcoal grilled so they do it right. The Piri Piri sauce is not the best I've had, but this place will do in a pinch. You order at the checkout counter and they bring it to you. Not a budget place, prepare to spent 20 Euros plus per person. Nice staff.

Very good chicken, similar style to Nando’s, only improvement is to make the peri peri actually spicy, still good flavour though.

Great restaurant !! They serve grilled & seasonned chicken or half chicken with fries, rice or other sides. The five of us all destroyed the plate and left nothing but the bones. The pastel de nata was amazing and fresh off the oven as well !! Service was adequent and prices were reasonnable (might be a bit tiny high, 18e for half a chicken with fries but worth it !!) Would definitely recommend coming here again

I ordered a half chicken, but it was served as two quarters. The fries were cold, and I ordered mayonnaise, but I didn't get it.

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd, the food was great! Part of the order was missing, but that was resolved within ten minutes. Excellent customer service. The chicken was very good, and the Coxinha de Franggo is also highly recommended.

Being a Portuguese myself I miss a lot our food, and lived in the Algarve whole my life,im well familiar with our Grilled chicken, I was not disappointed and for the first time in the Netherlands i could experience some real tradicional flavours! Nice service and pleasant environment! If the chicken was a bit smaller it would be perfect! But really nice and im coming back for sure. Obrigado :)

Loved the casual and relaxed dining atmosphere at Franggo West. The food arrived fresh and hot and everything was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend getting the corn on the cob as a side for the chicken as it rounded out the whole meal. Friendly staff as well, will definitely be back

Probably some of the best chicken in Amsterdam. But it keeps getting more and more expensive.

Visited here after arriving in Amsterdam and checking into our hotel - the service was excellent with the staff being helpful and friendly with both recommendations for the food and the city! Overall rating 9.3/10 Juicy flavourful chicken and tasty crispy chips (fries) Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend visiting the city

What a gem! Please please please try this place. The chicken is incredible. Absolutely lovely owner and staff. This drink is so addictive and my new favourite thing. There's only chicken on the menu with a side of either chips, rice, salad or a potato. We had half a chicken each with mixed sauce which is lemon butter and peri Peri. We had the chips are rice and both were incredible. It's plain rice which I wasn't expecting but it was incredibly flavourful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The people working made the experience. A hidden gem. We scored it a 8.7 and a 9.3 💕

Loved it! And my go to - For me the best food quality/price ratio in Amsterdam, and great quick service... Delicious Portugese food! Love the tomato salad also to keep it all fresh. I wish they would have an option to serve with crisps (dry chips) like in Portugal :)

Too bizarre for words! I was excited to try Franggo. I stand in an almost empty restaurant for 8 minutes for a seat at a table. Then I go to take a look in a staff room where more than 4 people are standing around doing nothing, and where an employee who I have to approach for attention tells me that I can order from the colleague at the front what I want served at a table in the restaurant. to have. The same thing happens at the front. Nothing! I.left.
