The interior still resembles Koks, but that's perfectly fine. It has a very cozy and warm atmosphere. The food is delicious. We had a beautiful plate of scallops as a starter and the beef as a main course. Incredibly beautiful and, above all, delicious dishes. The lemon meringue was creamy, sweet, and tangy, just as we'd hoped. The cheese board was certainly not bland, with robust flavors and a wonderful dessert with a fine wine. Highly recommended!

At Frappant you are guaranteed a pleasant evening with delicious food and nice wines. The service is always friendly, and because of the frequently changing menu there is always something new to try, including tasty vegetarian options. I have been coming monthly for a few years now if possible (even after moving to Dordrecht), and I will continue to do so with great pleasure!

A very nice restaurant! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. They took allergies into account down to the smallest detail, which really gives confidence. The chef even came to personally explain the menu, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant. Definitely recommended and definitely worth repeating!

Really delicious food. My girlfriend had the carrot and I had the beef lung tenderloin. Both dishes were very well prepared. The flavors were right and it looked fantastic too. In addition, the staff was really pleasant and open. They took the time to chat and helped us choose the wines.

Wonderful evening at Restaurant Frappant Yesterday we had a great time (again) at restaurant Frappant. The restaurant is very conveniently located, close to the center and the station. From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt comfortable. Hostess Madelon is exactly what you would want a hostess to be: friendly, cheerful and always present at the right time. She clearly knows what she is doing, has a lot of knowledge and that also reflects on the rest of the team. Everyone was equally attentive and hospitable. And then the food... excellent! The menu is creative and changes regularly, which makes it fun to try something new again and again. The combination of price, quality and atmosphere is top. This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Nijmegen. In short, if you are looking for a pleasant evening with delicious food, then Frappant is definitely recommended and a place where we will return regularly!

We were kindly greeted by Madelon upon arrival and chose a spot in the courtyard. The food was delicious; surprising in combination and great in taste and the presentation was also beautiful. Our favorite restaurant in Nijmegen! The price-quality is really top. The food is always delicious and the menu changes often, so you keep coming back. With a choice of fish, meat and vegetarian options, there is something for everyone. There is a cozy atmosphere inside, the service is friendly, approachable and open. Sometimes the courtyard is open, very cozy and quiet, wonderful to sit after a busy working day. The wines are well selected, again plenty of choice.

Found this restaurant via Google Maps. Small menu but still enough choice. The food was delicious! We sat at the table for a long time and there was plenty of room for that. I'd love to come back.

A pearl in Nijmegen. Hospitality and good food come first here. The hostesses make you feel at home and welcome. Have knowledge of the wines that match the dishes. The map changes monthly. The chef and his team always know how to come up with great dishes with the right structures and flavors. We come to taste the new dishes every month. And we have never been disappointed here. Conclusion; a TOP place where you should eat!!

Had a delicious meal with you in summer/autumn 2021. My table companion tonight had selected it and I was pleasantly surprised that there was such a gem in my own city. The best restaurant in Nijmegen! The atmosphere is very cozy, really cutely decorated and has a good vibe. The staff is super sweet and always open to additional wishes. All dishes were not only super tasty, but also an interesting mix of flavors! We will definitely come back again.

Een van onze favoriete plekjes in Nijmegen! We komen hier erg graag om het heerlijke eten (echte smaaksensaties!) en de vriendelijke bediening. Uit alles blijkt dat dit restaurant met veel passie en plezier gerund wordt. Echte aanrader dus!!

Vanaf t byzonder lekkere brood met smeersels vooraf , de gefrituurde gekruide maiskolfjes en een mooi bereid hoofdgerecht met vlees ervaarden wij met 4 personen de gerechten als een ware streling voor de tong . Een aanrader dit tot de verbeelding sprekende restaurant .

Huiskamer sfeer. Aardige obers tijdens eten, toen we vertrokken moesten we zelf jassen gaan zoeken... waren ze nergens te bekennen. Desembrood is lekker maar dat heb je wrs al eerder gelezen.We hebben een uitgebreid maaltijd genomen omdat oudste jarig was en hij wilde daar eten.Inderdaad veel jonge volwassenen daar.Toetje vond ik meevallen,weinig zelf gemaakt veel ijs en opgemaakt met bonbons. Let op:prijs is aan hoge kant!

De keuken weet goede en lekkere gerechten te maken en de bediening is vriendelijk en gemoedelijk. Ook prima wijnen voor bij de gerechten!

Super gastvrouw, nog voor het eten op tafel staat proef je de sfeer. Een authentieke en karakteristieke lokatie, wij hebben genoten.

Frappant is een heerlijke zaak! Madelon is een geweldige gastvrouw die er zichtbaar plezier aan beleeft het je naar de zin te maken. En wat Bruno in de keuken voor je maakt is altijd hoog op smaak, de smaken zijn goed in balans en de reactie van mijn tafelgenoten is altijd hetzelfde: lekker zeg!

Unique, high quality food and a lot of passion for the art of fine dining in a cozy living room atmosphere. Madelon as hostess and Bruno in the kitchen is a team made in heaven! He is a true genius culinarian and Madelon’s enthusiasm makes everything tastes even better! Without batting an eyelash about my special requests to order outside the card, Madelon retreated to the kitchen to soon reappear with the most beautiful and deliciously smelling salad. The taste was a true revelation: crispy fresh, sweet and appetisingly acidy. Meanwhile, my vegan main course consisted of delicately prepared vegetables on a cream of kohlrabi - which in its mildness offered a perfectly round dining experience. My much more reasonable boyfriend ordered from the card: the caramelised figs with goat cheese (to start) - which were served with crispy kale, pistachios and balsamic vinegar - and presented an absolute symphony. Then the sea ​​bream fillet (as a main) - which was served with spinach, tomato stew, Dutch shrimps, capers and decorated with a tapioca prawn cracker - it looked like art and tasted likewise. Madelon recommended the perfect wine for each course and couldn’t wait to share beautiful details about them. We also got to try the super cool and unique corn ribs in between the courses.

Het eten is altijd heerlijk, geen dertien in een dozijn menukaart. Madelon is een gastrouw waarbij iedereen zich zeker thuis voelt. Ik kom hier regelmatig en door de afwisseling van het menu blijft het leuk. Wat geen afwisseling belieft: de beste Espresso Martini van Nijmegen. Qua locatie ideaal om te eten als je naar de Schouwburg gaat of Doornroosje.

Wij hebben half Nijmegen al getipt om hier te gaan eten. Frappant is een van de betere “nieuwe” restaurants uit de regio. Om eerlijk te zijn onze favoriet. Eigenaren Bruno en Madelon zullen je niet teleurstellen. Chef Bruno is een geweldenaar in de keuken met zijn Zuid-Amerikaanse invloeden. Madelon stelt je helemaal op je gemak als gastvrouw en is altijd in voor een kort babbeltje aan tafel. Ohja en Bram uit de bediening is ook leuk ;) al met al, wij blijven zeker terugkomen!

Snel een hapje gedaan voor ons concertje bij Doornroosje. Heerlijk tafeltje vol gezet met wat gerechtjes. Super leuke dame die ons kwam serveren, die tevens aan de details dacht als extra bordjes etc. Tegenwoordig steeds minder vaak te vinden, mensen met kennis en lol in het vak. Verder was het eten er snel en goed op smaak. Alleen bij de vis wat drogere stukjes er tussen, maar dat deed niet af aan het gerecht. We hebben al onze bordjes uitgelepelt. Kom zeker terug, maar dan wat langer. Aangezien de sfeer in de zaak top is.

Heerlijk eten voor een goede eerlijke prijs! De vleesgerechten zijn hier uitmuntend, maar wat wil je met een argentijnse kok. De sympathieke gastheer verdient speciale vermelding vanwege de uitstekende service en heerlijke wijnsuggestie.
