Best coffeeshop in Amsterdam! I was there everytime when I was in Amsterdam. The people are very nice, the music is great and in general everything is a vibe! If you need an advice the workers will help you for sure. + the bathroom is cozy and very clean!

Product was good! The bald guy serving drinks was nothing but rude. Sarcastic and aggressive like, as we said no thanks to a drink and we’re having a smoke and leaving anyway. Won’t be back

Every time we come to Amsterdam, we always visit this place. If you want to try quality weed, this is exactly where you'll find it. Although this time, the Italian guy wouldn't sell us anything without ID, so we had to come back the next day! But it's still the best in the area with a great atmosphere!

A fantastic, very peaceful coffee shop with a super welcoming team. A huge thank you to the Rookies team and a special thank you to the server who offered me my mango juice for free because he'd forgotten to serve me. I was very touched by the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. I hope to be back very soon!

Nice atmosphere and good selection of weed but the bald guy behind the bar (I assume the owner) was incredibly rude both times I went in. Nothing happened to prompt him being rude. It seemed like this was just his personality, which is a big problem if you work in customer service. Other than him, this is a lovely coffee shop.

Went here straight off a flight and 18 hours of travelling before the flight to Amsterdam and I asked the bud tender for a pre roll pure joint and he asked me are you sure ? 🤣🤣🤣 I was sure but it appears my confidence was higher than my ability that thing blew my socks off and I sat on the canal after having a walk around for a few minutes, ended up smoking the last small bit of it and forgot to go check into my hotel 300m down the road from where I was sitting, checked in and hour and a half after the time I told them I would be there and stupidly said I got stuck in traffic, the receptionist said ohh you rented a car very nice and now I've spent 4 days pretending that im not walking everywhere in this city 🤦😅 oh the coffee was lovely too biggest coffee any shop served me in that area it was well needed, thanks for the great start to a great week spent in your lovely city

Visited last night and asked some very basic questions about some products and was spoken to and treated extremely badly. Toxic staff.

Really liked the rookies coffeeshop, very nice relaxed vibe with plenty of comfy seating and quite open plan layout so doesnt ever feel cramped even when busy. Plenty of drinks and snacks available and the music is great. Looks even better in there with all the christmas lighting Right now. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Smoke menu is extensive, we sampled the Gumbo Runtz and Grape Sunday which were both brain melters! Will definitely visit again

Quite basic if you ask me, didn't feel at ease there. The lady said in a bossy tone that I can come 'to her office'. I was looking for a pre-rolled joint so she suggested me one for 16 euro (!). Then I understood why it was called 'the Rookies', but I am rather an Amsterdam OG so no, you're in my country and I am not your rookie.

The staff were very helpful to us inexperienced tourists. We preferred the atmosphere, environment and interior much more than somewhere we had tried the night before. Very easy to relax in and good music. The recommendation ended up being exactly the right choice 👍

Easily one of the best coffeeshops in Amsterdam. It is somewhat secluded from main roads, so it is not overly busy. They had a great choice of drinks, including very pleasant teas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The aesthetic of the establishment was very pleasant as well, and they had air filters within the establishment, which was a very nice touch that we had not seen in any of the other 10s of coffeeshops we had been in, made it very nice and pleasant to sit inside. 100% recommend.

First day in Amsterdam I smoked a joint and I was high in the sky. The barman is very friendly and it’s a cosy place to sit.

We were two people visiting. The place is nice and the music is good, but the service was very disappointing. When their card machine stopped working, we suggested that one of us stay while the other went to withdraw cash after finishing our drinks. Instead, we were pressured to interrupt our experience and go withdraw in the middle of consuming. This felt inconvenient and not customer-friendly. A shame, because the café has potential.

The hot chocolate and the milk shakes are amazing. Very friendly and fun staff that are very accommodating and make you feel very welcome. The choices are incredible and the prices are also very reasonable. This is a great place to visit with very comfortable seating and also an outdoor seating area with three tables.

Good music and friendly staff (although sometimes table service takes some minutes). Hot chocolate was delicious. Tobacco free inside. They offer hemp and at the tables herb mixes for free.

Amazing coffeeshop!! The staff were so friendly and the man at the till helped us choose what to buy because we weren't too sure. We ordered drinks as well. I got the hot chocolate and the man who served us was right, its definitely the best!! Really really recommend this place for a calm and cool atmosphere. I would happily come back here again.

Avoid at all costs. Toxic environment, extremely rude staff. Lady at the front with brown hair was exceptionally rude and could do with anger management courses. Not what you expect from a ‘coffee shop’. Expensive and poor quality

Waited here 1 hour, did not get served, even asked what we would like to order. I went to the bár, they said look at the sign table service only with a Karen face. 2 stars only for the good music.

Very rude service from the older guy

We have heard a lot about these places scamming tourists but that was definitely not the case. The staff was super helpful so this is a god place for beginners (like me). The vibe was super nice and chill. The place was also filled but mostly with locals which is always a good sign.

This has become one of my favourite coffeeshops to visit when I come to Amsterdam. The staff are very friendly and welcoming the interior design is very nice and the seating is comfortable too. There’s Lots of flavours on the menu and the coffee is amazing. I always come here atleast once when I visit Amsterdam now. My only criticism would be that the lighting ain’t the best. I could easily fall asleep in there because of how dark it is. Lol.

IM writing this review about 2 years after I went to Amsterdam and I used to smoke a lot and went to a lot of different coffee shops on this trip and I have to say this coffee shop was by far my favourite. I might just remember to this date like if I was gonna go back. I would spend a lot more time in this coffee shop? Unfortunately, we discovered it on the very last day so only had a few smoked there, but if I was to ever go back, I'll smoke that every single day and I was just thinking, you know what I never left a review so there is thank you guys

Beautiful place and kind and courteous guys!!! But I was really disappointed by the smoke and weed!!! One after another, the best in their opinion (Ice-o-lator)... 3 days, 200 euros spent looking for that effect that I never found!!!... for goodness sake... good flavors but I expected much, much better!!!

If you’re a tourist, be aware: this is mostly a tourist trap. Prices are very high, but the quality doesn’t match. You’re better off looking for another coffeeshop. Some strains are particularly disappointing in quality.

I bought two types of hash at The Rookies. Both were disappointing. The Kashmir hash was basically just cheaper Moroccan hash labeled as “exclusive Kashmir hash,” so I basically paid almost €15 per gram for something that’s worth around €8 per gram. The PBC Double Dry was straight-up garbage—very little hash oil and mostly plant material. I went back to complain, but they refused to exchange it for another strain or hash. I told them I would leave a negative review, so here it is.

We are French and we highly recommend this coffee shop! The server was very patient, as our English is not perfect. He was very attentive and was able to give us very accurate advice. An excellent experience, we will be happy to come back!

London tourists Had some space cake which was tasty Friendly knowledgable attentive staff Good ambience and music Clean toilets We are not smokers so being in a confined area with smoke wasn’t great so something for people to bear in mind. We’ve decided to not return to eat- in but rather to get a takeaway from here next time.

I really like this cafe. Super friendly staff. Good music, not too loud. I've been coming here for years. But today, despite the tobacco ban, there were too many tobacco smokers around for me. After 20 minutes, you smell like an ashtray and can hardly breathe easily. What a shame! Really hard to get a few points. That's why I only give it three out of my usual five stars.

The waiters were quite rude. They didn't let you use a lighter and made you buy one or ask other customers. But the worst part was that I asked to charge my phone, and they made me download an app to use some portable chargers they had, for which they also charged you (spoiler: very expensive). The stools were quite uncomfortable... all in all, there are thousands of better coffee shops in Amsterdam, I wouldn't go back to this one.

Amazing vibes, the lighting inside is great and so cozy. Great service and selection, and the bathrooms are really clean. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back!

A large coffee shop that is both deep and wide - very spacious feeling. Has a good selection of strains of both main varieties and hybrids. The staff is friendly and service-minded. Was here at 5pm on a Friday, reasonably crowded and pleasant noise level. Has a lovely cocoa next door which works well for the munch feeling. The coffee shop is recommended.
