Fresh Today Carolieweg in Centrum

Yesterday, I made an online reservation for lunch for three people at 3:00 PM. When I got there, it turned out the restaurant was closed. So, I had lunch elsewhere.

I had made a reservation here with social deals. The mustard soup was really delicious, but she forgot the bread. She did bring it back, though. Personally, I wasn't as impressed with the sandwich with Serrano ham and goat cheese. The cheese was so cold, like it came from the freezer. So I left that one there as well. It took quite a while for her to bring the sandwich. I asked about it. She was on her own, I should mention that. There were about six other people there besides me. Maybe I was just having a bad day, but I wasn't a fan.

A top spot for a delicious lunch. Very tasty. Lots of homemade dishes, and everything is incredibly fresh. We enjoyed the midday snack. Excellent sandwiches, tasty soup, and a fantastic brownie. Excellent espresso. Very attentive service: people who take great pleasure in preparing your meal.

I had a wonderful meal with my daughter. They really took her lactose intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance intolerance. She went out for dinner again today with a friend, but unfortunately, the food contained lactose this time, which completely ruined her wonderful afternoon. I advise the restaurant to be more mindful of this to prevent others from experiencing this. And anyone with allergies should be wary of this. Otherwise, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Had a great lunch with old friends. Chef is always in shape and loves challenges! Perfect!

Staff member Juliette was super friendly and presented a delicious homemade high tea with fresh tea. We couldn't finish it! In short, fantastic!

We spent a weekend in Groningen and booked a Gift4you. We received a friendly welcome and were allowed to choose a table. It wasn't busy. We were seated at a table that wobbled quite a bit, and we had to fix it ourselves. After a while, we asked if the table could be cleaned, as the previous customer's used items were still there, and if we could order something to drink. We arrived at 1:30 PM and received our soup over half an hour later. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. A table that had just left when we arrived wasn't cleared or cleaned at all the entire time we were there. Later, we were given three types of sandwiches without cutlery or napkins. When we left, we had to pay for our drinks, and when we mentioned it, we were given a 10% discount on the two drinks. I wouldn't return.

The food was fine, but the portions were small. One employee (very friendly and hardworking) made us wait way too long. It's not her fault; Fresh Today has gotten some bad press before. It's also not very clean; the restroom smells and is full of spiders. It's a shame, because they really have a lot of potential and a great menu.

Had lunch here today with a former colleague. We had a lot of catching up to do, but kept having to interrupt because of the blender's incredible racket. It was outrageous. My colleague ordered a salad with banana-spelt bread. The bread wasn't included, and no one mentioned it. I had a goat cheese salad, which lacked the walnuts and pear. It tasted good, though. But that was a one-time thing, and I'll never order it again.

This afternoon I was in town with my partner. I have a wheat intolerance, which limits my lunch options. My friend suggested Fresh Today because they have spelt bread. We usually go to the location near Westerhaven, but this time we were in the area. I'm heavily pregnant and didn't feel like walking that far, so I chose the location in the city center. At first, the location seemed closed. There was little lighting, no inviting entrance, and nothing outside. Upon entering, the outdoor chairs were still inside in the aisle. About three tables were occupied. We asked if we could sit down or if we had to order at the bar. The woman behind the counter told us it was full. There was a large group coming, and there were only two of them. We were asked to eat somewhere else. I'm truly astonished that this is a reaction when the lunchroom is practically empty.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. The building feels a bit run-down and the music was a bit loud.

Food was nice, had a Greek club because I'm vegetarian and never can find a vegetarian club sandwich anywhere so was happily surprised. It also tasted great. Staff was very friendly albeit a bit slow and it wasn't busy at all (we were the only ones). It's not the best location in town but with the carnival in town it was nice and quiet and a chill place to have some lunch. It's very kid friendly and that was really nice.

I stopped by last Sunday for a refreshing smoothie and a quick bite. Excellent service from friendly staff and delicious food! Definitely worth a return visit.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our order (two fresh bowls lol). The food wasn’t bad but it obviously doesn’t take more than an hour to chop some veggies and pour mayo on them. (The restaurant wasn’t busy) Smoothies were good though. Go there if you have time and patience and when you are not very hungry.

Organic and many vegetarian and vegan. Super fresh food for a good price! Top!

Booked a cooking workshop with friends. However, this cannot be called a workshop. We made very simple dishes with poor kitchen tools and cheap products. Thinking of cheap olive oil, Euroshopper mozzarella, tomato sauce from a packet, pre-baked rolls from Albert Heijn and wilted basil. For example, we had hoped to make pasta ourselves and receive explanations about it. Instead, we made caprese according to a "recipe" on a plastic-coated A4 sheet of paper. Everyone had to make 1 dish, which makes it very individualistic. There were 2 girls to help us. No matter how friendly, we ended up giving them an explanation. After we had made the dishes, we could eat these dishes in an atmosphereless and cold room. Even McDonald's is even more cozy, but there are no Christmas lights there. Really don't book this if you have ever fried an egg in your life, then this is very substandard. You pay a lot of money, which would be better spent on a nice cookbook and better products to do this yourself at home.

Had a cooking workshop, but expected much more. Just basic for someone who has never cooked before. A great hostess, but not a pleasant atmosphere. A bit tucked away at the end of the place without real mood lighting. We had a great time ourselves, but that wasn't because of the food.

Everything is freshly made, the six of us were the only ones in the shop, but because there was only 1 person working we had to wait a while (half an hour per dish). She indicated this in advance and we found no problem. Bought the sandwiches or salad with smoothie deal with the last table (for only 8.50!). You could choose from all the sandwiches and salads, but some minor adjustments were no problem. The waitress was very sweet and made everything fresh on the spot. Smoothies top and large, tasty health bowl with tender chicken, the sandwiches also tasty and freshly baked (especially the Tuscan ciabatta recommended). Portions aren't super big, but definitely worth it with this deal. The tables are less hygienic, the cracks quickly catch food remains... Wouldn't come back for the atmosphere, because there was no one there and it wasn't really cozy. Fits well, nice for a healthy affordable lunch.

Came for a High tea deluxe. At one point we were almost full, so we asked if we could change it to a regular high tea, which fortunately was possible! The portion sizes of the cakes were really large but also very tasty. After about an hour and a half they didn't come again offering tea (we would have 2 more) and the scones. I think we waved at least 10 times but they didn't respond. Then we gave up and went to the cash register to pay and express our dissatisfaction. In the end it was handled professionally, but we were sorry how it turned out.

First waited 15 minutes for someone to come by. Then waited 15 minutes for a lukewarm smoothie that wasn't even that tasty (tropical smoothie). And it wasn't even busy when I walked in. You taste more dairy than fruit. A bit cheap at more than 5 euros. It's better to go to the Albert Heijn next door. They have put more socket contacts very clumsily with a crooked entrance so you can't plug it in normally. Bruh why so hard. Once and never again

Have eaten here several times now, it is delicious. The permanent staff is very friendly and takes good care of you.

Good food. It all took a very long time, we had to go inside to ask whether we should order at the counter or whether they would come to the table. Understaffing, 2 people had to serve the entire lunchroom during lunchtime... Food was tasty, price was reasonable.

Had lunch here with a friend through a deal from Het Laatste Tafeltje. The description stated which sandwiches cost €1 extra, but this was not accurate. The sandwich my friend ordered also cost €1 extra, although this was not indicated, it was only indicated by the employee when placing the order. Not entirely fair. The food and smoothies were very tasty. It took a long time before we got it, there was only 1 person in the store who had to do everything (take orders, prepare and serve food).

Halen hier nog wel eens broodjes met kantoor. Enorme aanrader, de broodjes zijn rijk belegd. Mijn aanrader, Sienna Gorgonzola

Nicht gerade das gemütlichste Cafe, aber das allerbeste für Familien mit Kleinkinder das beste in Groningen. Hinten eine tolle kleine Spielbude und wir könnten da in allerRuhe unser Baby versorgen. Leider gab da hinten keine tolle Aussicht, aber man ist ja eh mit dem Nachwuchs beschäftigt. Auch ist die Qualität der Smoothies mega, ebenso wie die Sandwiches. Aber für ein Vollkornbrötchen mit Lachs 9€ ist dann doch wohl etwas hochpreisig. Passend zu dem Angebot sind die Leute dort augenscheinlich alternativ angehaucht und sehr freundlich. Für einen kurzen Snack für eine Familie, die ein paar Euro mehr locker machen kann, das Beste. Wir waren sehr dankbar für diese Oase der Ruhe.

Een zelf bereide Valentijnsbrunch heeft ons heerlijk gesmaakt. Het was een goede deal

Gezellige lunchruimte in het midden van Groningen. Hoewel wij de enige klanten waren, 4 volwassenen en 2 kinderen, duurde het vrij lang voor het eten uitgeserveerd werd. De bediening was erg vriendelijk, en belangrijker, er was duidelijk aandacht aan het eten besteed. Het was goed op smaak en duidelijk vers en terstond bereidt. Voor ons was het het wachten waard. In verhouding wel aat sn de prijs, maar dat maakt de smaak van het eten ruim goed. We gaan hier zeker weer eens aanschuiven.

Gelunched toen ik heel brak was. Beste lunch ever.

Heerlijk, eerlijk eten . Service is prima. Wij hebben een overvloedige lunch(soep en broodjes proeverij) genoten . Alleen de afwerking van de eetzaal en toiletten is slecht. Ik zou me schamen als ik de eigenaar was.

Lekkere high tea voor weinig geld! Je krijgt ook heel veel, vriendin en ik krijgen het telkens niet op. Ik vind de afwerking van het restaurant wat minder, plek ziet er uit alsof het niet af en er wordt geklust.

Er ging iets niet helemaal goed met bedienen, erg lang wachten. De broodplank zat er al helemaal niet in..☹Helaas , deze keer beduidend minder als de vorige keer. Jammer hoor !
