Hello! We are very satisfied. We come here every week, always a pleasant experience. It is definitely recommended. Delicious sandwiches and delicious bitterballen. They are very friendly and we will keep coming back. So, highly recommended. Greetings, Ingeborg and Petra 😘

Had a drink on the terrace, unfortunately it started to rain.

Only on the condition that the staff is replaced. And the cleanliness is improved. The location by the church is great, though.

We sat on the terrace for 20 minutes and weren't helped, but the people around us were. We found another terrace where we were served.

We enjoyed the coffee and beer. The place looks cluttered and dingy. We have little faith in the hygiene. The terrace is comfortable. It was very difficult to make contact with the staff. They were too busy chatting with each other and for too long. A comment about this was ignored and dismissed with a sneer. No tip, and we won't be back.

We had lunch here with two people this weekend. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was also good. Excellent value for money.

It's a shame some reviews weren't so positive. We had lunch here with friends this weekend. The food was delicious, and the female staff was incredibly friendly! The terrace is beautifully situated on the square. Highly recommended: the yogurt cake with caramel and a Deventer cookie base.

Unfortunately we had to wait before someone took an order (2 x non-alcoholic beer). Possibly, it was busy. Then nothing came for 20 minutes. When asked: forgotten. Sorry, we'll bring them right away. Me: Can I also have a portion of bitterballen? Sure, I'll put them in right away. 20 minutes later still nothing. Forgotten again. Even a donkey... Beers were paid for and they were allowed to keep the bitterballen. Very bad. In the meantime, I have seen several people leave prematurely.

At 1:30 PM on the terrace. When ordering lunch we were told: 'oh sorry we don't have lunch anymore by the way. The bread is gone." We had to laugh a bit. That's a first! It didn't look that great anyway. Lots of nice places further in town (where they do have food 😉). Two stars still because of the view of the church.

Seated for 20 minutes, eye contact is completely avoided. And that with a few occupied tables...

Super friendly help. Delicious beer on tap and good food. There was water and even a treat for the dog. Recommended, we will be back.

Food is mediocre. The person who helped us was new, as walking with a tray and putting down a cup of coffee did not really go smoothly. But the atmosphere was good. That made everything right.

Despite being somewhat used to Dutch bitter coffee, even my latte macchiato tasted burnt. The cookie with the coffee was a little bit stale. On the other hand, the cakes, especially the apple pie, were very tasty! Furthermore, I have to highlight the staff who is very friendly. The location is a bit unfortunate. During spring months, the place is permanently in shadow in the afternoon. Sitting outside during windy days might not be as pleasant. The opening time is also very nice; one of the only places in Deventer where one can get a coffee even past 5.

What a super nice and cozy cafe. A top music evening experienced on Thursday evening. Nice atmosphere, top host and nice people. (The latter can of course differ per day)

Nostalgic place, great playlist, friendly staff, the latte macchiato and the Deventer Koek Taart is a great recommendation. Prices? Not higher or lower than anywhere else in NL. We are in 2024... not 1999... fijne dag gewenst.

Recommended for a nice drink and dish. Don't forget the homemade cakes!

Had to pay a lot for 2 lattes with apple pie (supermarket quality not served hot with aerosol 'whipped cream')....€ 19.40... or are these 'normal' Deventer prices for suburbanites who would rather see them go than come. Despite the friendly welcome, a bad aftertaste. I would ignore this place and check the price at other lunch/coffee places first. Deventer is definitely worth a visit.

Bad service, very unfriendly waitress. She simply leaves dirty glasses from previous guests on the table, but after indicating several times, her colleague eventually takes them away!

Deventer itself is worth a trip. Here you sit directly at the Lebuinus Church. Beautiful. We only had a drink so I can't comment on the food. Really quaint inside.

It was nice to sit here for a while on the edge of a square with a church. You have a lot to look at here. A little further on there is black ice.

Bitterballen were good, service was fine. A big negative: I wasn't allowed to change my granddaughter inside. There was no opportunity for that in the toilet. We are a café lady, I was told... she was very unfriendly. Well... then I had to put her on the street somewhere for a clean diaper.

Limited lunch menu, half of which was not even available. No gluten free options. Drinks took a long time to arrive. A drink that was not received was still on the receipt. Nice location.

Great place to eat, we visited Deventer on Whit Monday and the kids wanted to eat with friends from the past. The lunch was delicious, the croquettes taste very good. Until next time and thank you for the great experience.

Service leaves much to be desired, long wait for drinks/food, something to say about this, they were poor to pass on. Bitterballen perfect but never take bread with dip (the worst we have ever received)

Small but very cozy and a great view. Nice atmosphere and nice people in the service. And musicians who go up on a ladder and perform good old live music. How cool is that...

The terrace is great, but you don't have to sit inside. Small and dirty. Bar is run by girls who are maybe just 18.

Very atmospheric, snack and drink in the smallest cafe in Deventer.

Gezellig smal café in Deventer, had zo in de Jordaan in Amsterdam kunnen staan. Jonge maar enthousiaste bediening. Heerlijke tosti gegeten en ‘s avonds nog even langsgegaan voor een heerlijk biertje. Is er plek? Dan gewoon doen!

Het viel mij op dat ze bijna niks op voorraad hadden wat op de kaart stond. Geen appeltaart, geen homemade icetea (want geen ijs?), geen tosti ham kaas. Bediening was veel aan het lachen met elkaar en hing binnen aan de bar met hun mobieltje. Heel bijzonder

Geweldige locatie om even uit te rusten met een mooie uitzicht op de kerk. De abdij bier is een aanrader net als de huisgemaakte gebak.

Ik kom hier Graag, Prachtige plek tegenover de Majestueuze Lebuinuskerk. Zondag Boekenmarktdag was ik er opnieuw met Vrienden van Vroeger (Bibliotheek en Dokumentatie Academie). Genoten van lekker Bier en lekker Eten...ervaar het Zelf!

Fijn "family-run" cafe met het mooiste uitzicht can Deventer en de lekkerste appeltaart en top bitterballen

Prachtige concept café. Heerlijke sfeer om binnen te zitten met goede muziek op de achtergrond. Koffie met huisgemaakte Deventer koektaart gegeten, je krijgt zeker waar voor je geld. Erg vriendelijk en vrolijk personeel, die uitstralen het werk met veel passie en liefde uit te voeren. 5/5 Ps. Zeer huisdier vriendelijk!

De tafels waren erg plakkerig. Wij vroegen of er een doekje overheen kon, en we werden aangekeken met een scheve blik. Bij binnenkomst oogt het erg rommelig, en ik denk dat dat een poging tot deco is. Het personeel is erg jong, en daardoor voelt het erg onprofessioneel. De bitterballen waren wel lekker. De cappuccino was ook wel lekker. Mijn tip aan jullie: af en toe een doekje over alles heen halen, vooral als jullie anders toch niks te doen hebben. Wij snappen dat niet alles perfect schoon kan zijn maar er kan wel iets meer gepoetst worden. De wc was ook vies, maar wel lief dat jullie denken aan de dames door maandverbandjes neer te leggen.

Er was genoeg personeel maar ze hadden meer oog voor elkaar. Als je iets nodig had of wilde bestellen moest je zelf naar binnen lopen. Meer mensen op het terras waren aan het klagen hierover.

Gezellig met vrienden een paar heerlijke speciaal biertjes gedronken en twee klaverjas een rondjes gespeeld. Helaas ingemaakt, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken met vrienden van vroeger.

Leuke eenvoudige lunchgelegenheid op een prachtige plek in een prachtige stad.

Dit is een kleine knusse gelegenheid met een enorm terras voor de deur tegenover de Lebuinus kerk. Hier wordt o.a. verse appeltaart geserveerd. Erg lekker. Je kunt hier ook goed borrelen.

Prachtige stek met zonnetje op de Lubiuskerk. Heerlijk geluncht, vriendelijke bediening. En vorig jaar daar al de overheerlijke Deventer koek taart gegeten. Aanrader

Even een vlot drankje gedaan voor we ergens anders heen moesten. Lieve gastvrije mensen werken er. We komen hier graag.

Heerlijke eigen gemaakte appeltaart

Een warm aangekleed cafeetje met zicht op de grote Lebuinus kerk. Goede Fleur de Café koffie. Aantrekkelijke appeltaart. Helaas door een zeer goed ontbijt bij Hermitage B&B nu er niet bijgepakt. Het bitterkoekjes smaakte zo des te beter. Sinaasappelsap wordt hier geperst zoals deze geperst dient worden. Prijzen zijn voor deze tijd goed. Bediening vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

We hebben een mega gezellige avond gehad. Met life muziek, en biertje en een bitterbal. Gezellige mensen om ons heen.

Heerlijke lunch gehad. Authentiek brood met tonijn salade. Een echte aanrader. Mmmmmmh!!

Even naar binnen voor een warme chocolademelk omdat we een beetje verkleumd waren. Wat een leuke sfeer, we werden allervriendelijkst geholpen! Volgende keer wat biertjes van de tap proeven als we niet hoeven te rijden!

Dit is een gezellig Deventers tentje met goede cappuccino en HEERLIJKE appeltaart. Ze maken ook lekkere Deventer Koek Taart. Alles vers gemaakt door de eigenaars. Heerlijk en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Aanrader.

Heerlijke plek voor een borrel of lunch (met de beste appeltaart)! In de zomer ook ideaal kinderen die lekker kunnen spelen op het grote autovrije plein met fontein!
