Fantastic food. So nice to find a good vegetarian restaurant. It was truly delicious with lovely service. The teenager was also very enthusiastic.

The food is a bit different. First of all, it's vegetarian. But you don't even realize it. It's simply delicious. I had the lunch menu. Excellent. So let yourself be surprised and enjoy a relaxed meal. Points for improvement: a bit more water in the tea glasses. Water isn't rationed yet.

Had a delicious breakfast: miso egg, sourdough croissant, and cardamom bun. Great coffee, too, in a cozy atmosphere.

We had dinner there Friday night. A delicious three-course meal! Every dish was delicious. I took home the few dishes we couldn't finish and enjoyed them the next day. Highly recommended!

Only if you've had a "pleasant" experience are you asked to write a review, on a sign in the store. It's a shame the staff don't want to read any suggestions for improvement. How critical are they of their own work methods? The communal table doesn't match the chair height, making it uncomfortable to sit at. There's a crack in the toilet seat that can get your skin stuck between it. An employee says they're working on it. Apparently, no one can unscrew a few screws from a toilet seat. Or that they can temporarily put some strong tape over the seat. My wife drinks an Americano that's way too strong (I sent it back). Apparently, it's difficult to make this coffee, which tastes a lot like filter coffee. The cappuccino I had twice was fine, but the cookie/cake with the second cappuccino was dry. My wife has a gluten allergy, so I ate her cookie, but it was so dry it fell apart like flour in your mouth, so I don't want a second one. The hot chocolate was good (it's not on the online drinks list). The stars mainly refer to the staff's approach, the poor coffee and the dry biscuits, and the decor, as already mentioned.

This is what Deventer was missing: a plant-based restaurant where not only the staff is exceptionally friendly, but the food is also fantastic! The Friday night dinner is amazing. Think of it as a lavish Indonesian rice table, but without the rice. You share the dishes. The starter is already five different dishes, the main course also five, and then there's dessert. Every bite is a true feast for your taste buds 😋. The vegetables are mainly sourced from Klooster Sion, so they are local and organic. The price-quality ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful lunch my girlfriend and I had at your place yesterday. Delicious, homemade hummus in a generous portion, on delicious sourdough bread with roasted vegetables. Delicious! The lunch platter, with soup and, this time, a croquette, was also delicious. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back when we're in Deventer.

Starting this week, you can also enjoy high tea at Groote Poot. It was fantastic and, as we've come to expect: original, seasonal, and delicious!

Truly the most delicious (GF) brownies I've ever had! Something with coconut and a dark chocolate aftertaste. Lunch was also really good. Once again, very good, nutritious, gluten-free bread with delicious homemade hummus on top. And a salad of fresh lettuce, quinoa, and grilled vegetables on the side. Super fresh and healthy. My stomach was HAPPY!

We've been coming here every week to get our bread since this summer. Delicious bread, just the way it should be. The renovation has made the shop much more open and spacious, with a wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. We'll keep coming back.

Great place. It couldn't be otherwise with Tessa in the kitchen. It's a shame there are still old reviews. The menu and staff have been completely new since June 2025.

A lovely, cozy spot on the bustling Grote Poot square. We enjoyed a delicious, freshly prepared lunch. It was a pleasantly busy place.

We come here again and again and it's still great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were here for breakfast. There is no emphasis on bells and whistles but on quality. The breakfasts we had were extremely tasty. Fresh bread and rolls, cheese, jam and egg. The large cappuccino was also a treat that isn't available everywhere. We had nothing to complain about and can only recommend it.

Very mediocre place, I honestly don't understand where the high reviews come from. There was a young lady (blonde, straight hair) with the most bored attitude ever standing at the table to take the order. I asked some questions about allergies. There was almost no sighing, with so much irritation that I had to ask questions. Coffee and pastries were sort of dumped on the table. Never come here again, messy intention.

We had breakfast delivered for €25 delivery costs and a time of 7:30 to 8 and then they are at the door at 6:30.

Quiet place, homely atmosphere and beautifully situated between the facades of the small streets of Deventer. Provides a different atmosphere than lunch at the Brink. Brie sandwich with apple syrup and walnuts was excellent and they work with many organic products! Took a while before I was offered a second drink. But once ordered, it arrived in no time!

Wat een fijne rustige en sfeervolle plek in Deventer! Ik ga hier vaak naar toe voor een lekkere kop koffie of thee, en een leuk gesprek met de eigenaren en het personeel. Ook voor mijn dochtertje van bijna 3 is het fijn vertoeven - er zijn veel leuke boekjes, lekkere appelsap en boterhammen met pindakaas. Aanrader zijn de ontbijtjes, belegde broodjes en heerlijke huisgemaakte hartige én zoete taarten. En er zijn heerlijke broden te koop van Driekant en een paar dagen per week mooie desembroden uit het Havenkwartier.

Vriendelijke bediening, lekkere koffie, broodje tonijn erg lekker, snert lijkt te veel op een heldere groentesoep, erwten niet gaar, mag wel wat spannender. Verder een relaxed plekkie.

Mijn favoriete lunchroom. Beste koffie van heel Deventer. Kom er al jaren. Voorheen Broodje van Joop. Nu is het Groote Poot! Alleen maar verbeterd. Prachtige winkel, lunchroom. Heel goeie sfeer! Tis net thuiskomen terwijl je ‘uit’ bent! 🎉👌

Ik heb een uitgebreid ontbijt aan huis besteld. Het was heerlijk! Flesje cava erbij! Super leuk geserveerd en echt heel uitgebreid! Heel erg bedankt voor de ervaring!

Fantastisch lekkere broden. Betrekken hun spullen van lokale afnemers. Pure smaken, alles zelf gemaakt. Ze bezorgen ook zakelijke lunches, dat doen ze heel goed. In alles zie je dat ze er veel liefde en aandacht aan besteden

Mijn favoriete lunchcafé in hartje centrum van Deventer, vriendelijke bediening, biologisch eten dat met zorg wordt gemaakt en opgediend.

Wij hebben hier vanochtend een heerlijk ontbijt gegeten. Verse jus, superlekkere broodjes en GEWELDIGE koffie. Hele hartelijke mensen, we voelden ons welkom en thuis. Bedankt!!!!

Sympathiek biologisch zaakje, lekker geluncht. Een mobiel pinapparaat zou een aanwinst zijn.

Ontbijtje hier gehad, behoorlijk prijzig. Glaasje versgeperste jus kon niet kleiner, het bakje 'huisgemaakte jam' voor op de broodjes was een soort vingerhoedje. Slechts 2 broodjes. In geen enkel opzicht had dit ontbijt iets royaals. Voor 12,95 een mager begin van de dag.

Koffie met gebak gegeten. De appel kruimeltaart ( punt) en cheesecake taartje met rabarber ( een klein rond dingetje) smaakten aardig. Aangezien ze redelijk geprijsd zijn waren de verwachtingen hoger qua portie grootte en presentatie. Laat ik het zo zeggen: 2 dagen geleden elders huisgemaakte appel cranberry kruimel taart gegeten: was een royale punt en je kreeg er gratis een royale toef slagroom bij. Viel in dezelfde prijsklasse.

Top kwaliteit en super aardige medewerkers. Koffie en tosti zijn heerlijk geweest. Vooral de koekjes zijn ontzettend lekker en zoals bijna alles hier zelfgemaakt. Buiten en binnen zitten is echt gezellig. Absolute aanrader!

Voor vaderdag ontbijt laten bezorgen. Werd perfect op tijd gebracht, lekker en héérlijk vers. En ruim voldoende voor 2 personen. Ga ik zeker vaker doen 🤩

Heerlijke koffie met super smakelijk ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel. Ontzettend lekkere broden.

Vraag je Axel om een uitsmijter, dan krijg je ook een uitsmijter (al staat deze niet op de kaart).

Hoewel deze horeca gelegenheid leuk oogt moet ik helaas concluderen dat een aantal dingen veel beter zouden kunnen, namelijk: snelheid van bedienen en hygiëne. Wij namen plaats aan een tafel waar mensen net waren vertrokken. Het duurde nogal een poosje voordat de rotzooi opgeruimd werd. Maar even een schone doek over de tafel was er niet bij. Om ons heen kijkend zagen we dat mensen die er al zaten toen we binnen kwamen nog niet eens van een drankje voorzien waren. We besloten om deze redenen hier niet te eten en het bij een kop koffie te houden. Deze was overigens goed.
