Frituur de Parade in Wijk 11 Venlo-Centrum

Look at Friture de Parade. You really don't come for the atmosphere, the food, or the people. Friture de Parade is there for you in all (dark) times. They have food at a good price, but *whether* they actually have the food, that is what really annoys me. If they don't have it (or aren't in the mood), it's a case of "please order something else." I find that strange, I must say. But still, Friture de Parade stays open until the very last guest and really does their best until the very last order. Enjoy your meal and get home safely ;)

Culinary dining on the Venlo Parade... That is not the angle of this fry shop. Upon entering, you are certainly welcomed warmly, but you are overwhelmed by a multitude of screens that would make an average fast-food chain jealous. How can a relatively small establishment offer so much! Prices are designed to make the nightlife crowd—often under the influence and not entirely clear-headed—pay just a little too much. But once inside, you order anyway; that is often the golden rule of these establishments. After making the safest choice, you then witness a spectacle that can be called comical on the one hand, but possibly also disturbing on the other... How much staff do you need to prepare food, and guests visibly walk nonchalantly through the cooking and preparation zone to go to the toilet. This astonishment increases by the minute, and within lightning speed (in this case, actually), your order is on the table. Honestly, it was not top quality, as expected; far too salty, crispy, and the mayonnaise had an exceptional taste. The confluence of all this quickly reached a climax at home; the body clearly disagreed with consuming this gastronomic masterpiece, and just as quickly as it was served... Yep! In other words: Frituur de Parade; ideal for buying a can of cola ;)

I do not subscribe to the opinion of the most recent reviewer. I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent kapsalon at this establishment with great panache, for which extra compliments go to the chef for the crispness of the fries *and* the salad; a combination that is notoriously difficult to find in the culinary atmosphere of the kapsalon. The furniture on which I dined was also comfortable and free of any traces of woodworm. Consequently, I was able to leave gastronomically fulfilled and satisfied, happy as a proud prince on a galloping pygmy goat. And anyone who does not share my opinion may be keelhauled straight away.

Bad service, had to wait 2 hours and still no pizza. When you call, they get rude as well. I have claimed my money back.

After a fun day in Venlo, we decided to grab a quick bite at this establishment, De Parade. We could already celebrate, because they had a kapsalon, my favorite dish! I paid for the treat with my debit card, and the staff, with their somewhat mafia-like demeanor, indicated that they would bring it outside for us. A plus point! With the first bite, I realized they wouldn't receive mistletoe to season the dish, as it tasted a bit bland. After a mountain of sambal that set your mouth on fire as if you had eaten napalm, it was actually quite bearable. All in all, a pretty decent kapsalon, but I won't remember it tomorrow at my breakfast.

Their service isn’t exactly like fine dining, but their food is incredibly good. This was my first time see calzones serving with salad even decorations. The food itself isn’t overly salty and is quite delicious. The portion is also reasonable and fills you up.

This place is absolutely awful. I even got a stomachache from eating there. They offer everything, but nothing is done even remotely decently, and on top of that, it's expensive. I'm truly speechless trying to describe how bad it is.

Not recommended; the burger patties were thrown straight from the freezer into the fryer. The cheese was taken directly from its disposable packaging right in front of us. Overall, the patties had the consistency of sausage.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience. The food was not worth the price, and the meat seemed undercooked and lacked flavor. The restaurant also had a noticeable fish-like smell, which affected the atmosphere. Service could have been better as well. Overall, I wouldn’t return.

I never usually write reviews, but this place is a complete disaster! They can't even make fries properly; they weren't cooked through and you could count them. Anyone with any self-respect shouldn't give this place a single cent, and hopefully they'll fix it as soon as possible. Unbelievable!

I have nothing but love for this place. My friends and I got stranded in Venlo at 1am when the train station shut down and locked their doors. We were wandering in the snow and freezing cold trying to find something that was open when a worker from Frituur de Parade saw us and told us to come inside to warm up. The shop was busy with people celebrating carnival but the workers gave us a table to sit at and asked if we were hungry. Not only was the food delicious, but they refused to let us pay. The kindness and generosity of the staff was unmatched. To recap: awesome food, even better people, 10/10 would recommend, many thanks from us!

I ordered special fries and a croquette sandwich. The small container of fries was only half-filled, and there was a small amount of sauce. The fries and the croquette sandwich were cold. I reported this, but then got no response, and the Dutch "tal" suddenly became a problem. Disgraceful service. I'll never come back here.

Had to wait a long time for the delivery. The quality of the food was very, very poor! A few hours after eating the meal, several people in our group became ill. Typical symptoms of food poisoning. If I could give zero stars, I would! Super rude staff & we got yelled at and kicked out just because we asked for the mayo to be seperate on the side (because of an allergy). The server either got it wrong or just didn't care. After we nicely pointed out that he got our order wrong he started yelling, gave us our money back in cash and shouted at us to leave. Save your time and energy and go eat somewhere else!

first I was greeted with what seemed like the manager. he was in a phone call behind the cashier. he said hi but seemed like the call was more important cus we were ready to order and it took him closer to half a minute to end it before we could order. i wanted to order the fries special but with mayonnaise on the side, and I tried to explain to him in the simplest way possible that it can not touch the fries and needs to be on the side like separate from the fries. and he said okay. then we stood there to wait for our food and he just started eating his own portion like it’s fine if you’re on a break but maybe tell your costumers? or get someone else to serve? another couple came to order too, and after they sat down we figured we’d sit down and wait too. then after 5 min the “manager” said the order but didn’t specify which one it was for until the man of the other couple went up and the “manager” was doing the hand signal for move or get away to signal it wasn’t their order but ours. I could then see he put the mayonnaise on there and not on the side as I asked and I said to him. “we asked to get the mayo separate from the fries, not touching” he then proceeded to scrape the mayo off and asked “like this” and I said “the mayo is still there, one of us is allergic, it’s not okay like that, that’s why I asked for it separate and on the side instead of on the fries.” then I see there’s a little container with mayo in and I point at that and giving a thumbs up to signal that’s what I was asking for. at this point he’s yelling at me complaining about how he’s now waisting food and before I can even say anything he’s yelling at me to leave and luckily gave me my money back as he was doing it. but I also wouldn’t feel comfortable eating there or supporting that place considering how badly I was treated. like why are you blaming me for your mistake? that’s why I was asking and making sure you understood how I wanted it in the first place. i’ve never been kicked out of a place before and it just shocks me that people are like that. any other place i’ve ever been to have had no problem apologizing for mistakes and given me a new portion. but this is a first where I get blamed for their mistakes. so to sum it up, the guy was super rude and not helpful at all. he was screaming at me for messing up a simple order. I don’t recommend anyone to go there, it’s not worth your time, money and energy.

We've ordered from here several times through Thuisbezorgd. We automatically order an hour early because they're always an hour or more late, resulting in my children's food being cold. They don't notify us, and if you call after an hour, you're always told "it's on its way." This is the last time we'll order from Frituur de Parade. Only half the order is delivered, and what's delivered literally floats out of the container.

Ordered through Thuiszorgd, had to wait two hours for our food. You get a kapsalon with only lettuce and all sorts of things that don't normally belong on a kapsalon. And the fries were completely overcooked and tasted like they had been microwaved.

Bad fries, way overcooked (I think they were old fries reheated in the oil; the forks broke off, they were so dry), but even more annoying: incredibly unfriendly service. I won't spend €4 here again for a bowl of ketchup.

Really disgusting stuff. The doner sandwich literally fell apart. Inside was gray doner with three iceberg lettuce leaves. It was a shame to sell this.

What a disastrous experience. I specifically ordered fries without sauce, precisely because I am deathly allergic to peanuts. What do we get? Fries with satay sauce – in other words: a life-threatening portion for someone like me. This is not a minor mistake, this is a near-death experience. A few bites and it could have been the hospital (or worse).

I ordered a hair salon and water, and it cost €4.50. They told me in Dutch where to get the drink, after speaking German beforehand. When I pointed out that the price wasn't right, they laughed at me.

Fries in the Netherlands actually have a good reputation, but this was really nothing special. Flabby, bland and simply carelessly made. I've eaten much better in simple snack bars.

Driver went to a different address and then was arguing. Delivered cold food 20 minutes later when he finally understood that he is at the wrong address and I am not in the wrong. I ordered durum with chicken, sambal and cocktail saus and asked for no veggies. Received durum with beef, no sauce, with veggies. Like, you got everything wrong and you're doing it for a living. Contact with the restaurant is difficult because they don't speak English (which is understandable - attitude given, not really), and they were already closed when I finally received my order. There was no response from them when I gave my opinion about the order. Apparently, it's normal there to make the food all wrong and deliver it cold, with and extra attitude on the side from both driver and the restaurant worker. Really don't recommend. Save yourself a disappointment and just eat a sandwich.

I had high expectations for my order, but unfortunately the experience was not as hoped. Firstly, I had to wait 2.5 hours for my food, which was significantly longer than the expected delivery time. When the food finally arrived, the quality of the salon was unfortunately not good. It was not tasty and inedible, which is a real shame. I understand that crowds and other factors can affect service, but I hope that in the future more attention can be paid to both the waiting time and the quality of the food.

After 40 minutes I call, it will arrive shortly. 1 hour and 20 minutes later the food arrives half lukewarm and I have to pay 17 euros for a simple pizza with salami, mushrooms and artichoke... If the pizza was warm with the right sauce, things would be different. But unfortunately, also the sauce was wrong.. Just put it in the oven and with your own sauce it was fine!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is one of the most horrible experiences of my life. It was degrading and disgusting. The frozen burger was green on the inside and the plastic cheese was ice cold. The fork broke off on the first serving of fries I tried to put in my waffle. Nowadays you can no longer offer this to a person. P.s. ATM is also broken and there is a lot of draft in the store.

Fantastic thing! Had delicious fries on the nice terrace, nice chairs with cushions. And great people watching at the Parade. And what was even more special: I had stupidly forgotten my handbag, with everything in it: wallet with all the cards, keys, cell phone, etc. Fortunately, someone had found it and I got it back. Thanks a lot! Everything was still there. 🙂

Mit Abstand der schlechteste Imbiss, den man sich vorstellen kann. Tot frittiertes essen, lieblose Zubereitung, „Burger“ nur mit einem unverteilten Klecks Ketchup und Majo. Wirklich nicht lecker. Definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. Klare Touristenfalle!

Frituur located in the pedestrian zone of Venlo. The service was very 👍 good. The price ratio was right. The most important thing is that the fries and frikandel were very tasty.

It is certainly not a bad chip shop, always go here with a group of friends after a nice evening of drinking. Enjoy a pizza, döner or fries. For some things I think the price is a bit too much, for what you get. But yes, I think a chip shop that is open until this late is ideal. So nothing great really, but certainly nothing bad either. I would say go and see for yourself and give your own opinion.
