Nice place. Good products and prices. The only downside was a (tattooed) waiter who was aggressive towards other employees and who slammed chairs on the terrace when customers moved them. I think he should find another line of work… The rest of the staff were lovely.

We walked past in the afternoon to ask if the reserved tables were needed at that moment, and then a gentleman with many tattoos on his arms said, "What does that sign say?" in an incredibly unfriendly manner, "Don't come here," super rude service.

A great location to enjoy some time together with a beachy vibe and sea air, perhaps with a quick snack. The fries with mayo were excellent and reasonably priced. We give it a thumbs up and highly recommend it. 😉

So incredibly shocked by the rude way we were treated today. We were verbally abused after asking about the coffee, and the owner even became physically violent. We had small children with us who were extremely frightened by this incident. This is really unacceptable.

A very rude man worker had treated us very badly when ordering food then touching our drinks we had brought separately. He then decided to have such a massive attitude towards us. However he then got replaced with female staff which had made the atmosphere much more peaceful. Didn’t rush us and didn’t complain about anything else. The food was fine however customer service was terrible. That same man treated other customers differently.

Worst cheeseburger ever. Made with a pre-made patty and curry cheese sauce. No lettuce, no pickle, just two patties crammed into a burger bun. The service was abysmal, in my opinion. I can't recommend it and will never go there again.

We were able to make ourselves understood. Unfortunately, the menu was quite limited, even though several dishes were listed on the boards. They only offered deep-fried items. When we asked for more information, we were told to ask someone else who took orders! Terrible service. Toilets were available, but far from decent. The men's toilet had a broken flush—it looked like it was held together with tape—and the women's toilet was simply filthy. Luckily, we didn't eat there. €11 for three small soft drinks is steep, but at least they were in bottles.

The worst experience in Sluis at a restaurant! The waiters' service is execrable with no respect for the customers! We tried to order but we were treated very badly and stressfully! I do not recommend!

The boss is the most arrogant jerk I have ever met in my life. First, he took the menu from a family of three at the table next to ours because it belonged to another table. They had taken it because they wanted to order at the same time, but the owner didn't think that was allowed. He also commented on the father for keeping his sunglasses on. I ordered a sandwich and asked if they could put extra fried chicken in it. They did, but they charged practically the full price of another sandwich. I should have ordered two sandwiches instead. The sandwich was tasty, but the owner was an asshole. I will never go there again, and I would advise everyone to move on.

We sat on the sunny terrace in the afternoons for the past two days. Even though we aren't very mobile, we still had a lovely afternoon with a nice view. We ordered the necessary drinks and fries; everything was fine. The staff was also very friendly.

One star because it couldn't be later. Extremely rude and antisocial staff. The order was taken with great enthusiasm, and he immediately made a rude remark to my father. When I then asked a simple question, the waiter, and then the manager, got very angry and started yelling at me for all sorts of things. I'll never come here again, and I hope no one else will.

Snapped at by the wait staff for eating our own snack. However, we had wanted to order food with our coffee, but the kitchen was not open yet.

It's a shame I have to give it one star. We were literally assaulted by the owner. We had two meals, and my husband, who cooks Ironman, had a mess tin. He yelled at us without giving us any explanation. Avoid at all costs!

From the outside, it looks inviting and cozy, but that changes as soon as you interact with the staff. You politely ask if you can sit on the terrace and are spoken to in an almost irritated tone. The entire service feels cold and completely unsociable; it is as if you are disturbing them and they would rather you leave immediately. Apart from that, the food was "fine". Not a high mark, but not a failure either. It is just a shame that the overall impression of the service does this place no credit, which is why I recommend walking a little further down the road to satisfy your hunger.

Wij zijn gaan zitten aan een tafel waar we heel snel geholpen werden, een snackmix besteld (heel groot) en wat drankjes. Na bestellen waren de drankjes er binnen een minuut dus geen klachten daarover, de snackmix is 5 minuten daarna aangekomen. De snacks waren zeer smaakvol. Mooi uitzicht op de kaai en vriendelijke vlotte bediening.

Rudeness: 5 stars I ordered takeaway. I waited 20 minutes because there was only one woman in the kitchen and orders were being taken one after the other with everyone on the terrace. (They could have mentioned that beforehand.) Then they put my order down: 2 x fries, 1 x bitterballen, 2 Cokes. I asked for a bag, as I couldn't carry it all by myself. The answer: Takeaway is takeaway, no bags. I left everything and walked away; I'd lost my appetite. I've been living in Sluis for 5 years and have never experienced such rudeness.

Terrible service. There were several waiters at the door, but no one came to take our orders. When I politely asked if we could order something, no one looked at me, and a waiter reluctantly came to take our order. We finished our drinks and quickly went elsewhere for dinner.

Untrained and rude staff! First of all, it took ages for them to come and take my order, while three waiters were scanning the room. When I was paying, I touched the waiter on the shoulder to remind him I was standing behind him before he walked back and we bumped into each other, and that I wanted to pay, too, because that also took ages to comply. I was told not to touch people... Really... aren't we going a bit crazy? 🫣 1 star because it was requested.

We've never been treated so badly at this chip shop where we used to go back to Olsi's days. This Thursday, we wanted to eat a full meal outside, but it was impossible to get inside, even though it was empty. Two very unfriendly and rude waiters prevented us from entering and going to the toilet. They demanded payment to use the toilet. Since there was no space outside and no room inside (despite it being empty), they prevented us from entering, saying, "Too bad." We won't be going back.

We bought a tasty soft serve ice cream and ate it on the terrace. The owner went wild when we didn't get up immediately after his insistence that we leave the terrace right away. We didn't know that we weren't allowed to eat the ice cream on the terrace. The owner started talking about ‘gorging’ and ‘respect’. We didn't know what he was talking about. We won't be eating ice cream at this ‘crazy’ person’s place again.

Even one star is one too many. Extremely rude to us. The weather changed, and we wanted to sit inside with our children. We were immediately rudely told that the inside was closed. Because we politely said this wasn't written down anywhere and we couldn't have known, the man became very angry. He told us we were being rude because we didn't want to stay on the terrace. So we left and went to eat somewhere else. They'd never see us again. That man was definitely the height of rudeness! Not a good advertisement for the business at all!

People with disabilities and walkers are being turned away from their patio. We even bought an ice cream there, very unfriendly and rude. I'll never come here again.

Wij waren van plan hier te lunchen en natuurlijk daar ook iets bij te drinken. Bij binnenkomst vroeg een onnozel meisje “of het alleen om te drinken was”. Het wicht zei ons dat we plaats “mochten” nemen aan een tafeltje voor 2. De grotere tafel waar wij eerder zaten, was bezet door 2 dames. Verder was er niemand in de hele zaal, alleen stond er wat jong personeel zich bij de ingang te vervelen. Aangekomen bij een tafeltje voor 2 zagen wij dat er amper 2 borden op konden staan, dus wilden wij gaan zitten aan de 4-persoons tafel ernaast. Wij hadden de stoel nog maar vast of een ander onnozel personeelslid riep daarop vanuit de ingang dat wij alleen aan een 2-persoons tafeltje mochten gaan zitten. Uiteraard zijn wij niet gaan zitten, maar vertrokken. Bij ons 1e bezoek dachten wij al dat het een sociale werkplaats was vanwege de rare streken van het personeel, hetgeen ook nu weer bleek. Wij hebben overigens vlakbij heerlijk geluncht bij Frituurke ‘ Swin en werden bediend door een heel gezellige dame die ons direct zei te gaan zitten waar we maar wilden….

Outrageous! We were waiting outside the restaurant for a free table (no one else was waiting) and were asked to wait on the other side of the street – in the sun. That was definitely the last time we'll ever go there!

Just made a stopover while shopping. Ordered a nice beer and a carafe of rose and something for the drinks. Friendly staff and the bitterballen were very tasty, the nachos had a lot of sauce and could have been a bit warmer. But hey, everyone has their own taste. Spacious terrace with a nice view.

Every year at the same time it's always the same, a waiter, always the same (bowl cut and beard) receives us in an incredibly unfriendly and unpleasant manner as possible, pretends not to see us for the order etc. It's unfortunate and has become a sad tradition at the start of the holidays... This spoils its ideal location. Looking at the comments this seems generalized, which is a shame (especially since the other servers seemed correct)... I don't recommend.

After having been to the other chip shop, which is run by the man, we went to this chip shop. This one is run by the woman. Pleasantly surprised; here the menu is more attuned to their large, sunny terrace by the water. Think of aperol spritz, mojito, snack platters, etc. The service was super fast and friendly, especially the young guests in the service. The fries were super tasty and not greasy, the steak perfect. The fish pan was also great. We only found the toilets a bit old, but after asking for some information we found out that this business is located in a monumental building (an old tram house) where things cannot just be changed. All in all a must, we will definitely come back

On Sunday it was busy in Sluis. So we ended up there unexpectedly because they had a table available. Only ordered a drink and a snack board. No complaints about the service, we were very satisfied with it.

Good food, great service and nice atmosphere! Toilets are clean but could use automatic lights instead of a button.

On 09/28/2024 5 p.m. full sun we are told sorry we close mockingly. don't want to sell? Knowing that the other fry-up was closed. The other people who followed us also didn't understand anything. On we won't come back

Solid burger & frites joint with very fair prices, sun & shade on the terrace, modest but on-point beer selection, and soft serve. Service was very good. Couldn’t ask for more!

Right on the banks of the river with lovely views. English speaking staff are very friendly. Seating inside and outside. We chose a large frites and a portion of bitterbollen for lunch. It was plenty between the two of us. The food was hot and service was quite quick. We’ve been before and we will come again when we are in the area.

Établissement bien situé près du canal à l’entrée de la ville mais l’accueil est déplorable, la fille de la patronne nous agresse parce que nous venons d’acheter du pain et qu’il est interdit de manger un bout de pain étant donné qu’il serve de la nourriture !!! Alors même que nous ne mangions pas de pain 😡, celui ci étant posé sur nos genoux. Un comportement inadmissible alors que nous avons commandé des boisons et plusieurs snacks ! Les toilettes sont dans un état lamentable avec une forte odeur d’urine. Bref, préférer un autre endroit car celui ci ne reflète pas l’accueil des néerlandais

L’endroit est très agréable avec un lac et un jet d’eau qui nous coupe le souffle. Le personnel est très accueillant, et malgré le fait qu’il ne parle pas le français il reste très agréable. De plus, les spécialités sont excellentes. Je recommande fortement cet endroit agréable.

I come here often and they recently have a new menu with new paninis and menus. I tried menu 3, I got a soup beforehand and then a fish pan and the fish pan was delicious, the fish turned out to have been put together by the owner. For the rest everything was very clean and the service was super nice, highly recommended if you are ever in Sluis!

Ice cold outside and no heating inside. Radiators were off. . The food was decent, but the waitress had all the trouble in the world to take the order.

Payment error was sorted out kindly.

Goed menu. Niet duur. Goede service: men kwam extra navraag doen om onze wensen m.b.t. sauzen en dressing correct toe te passen. Het eten was heerlijk. De friet was voor mij wat te zout. Niet alle sla was nog goed. Op de bernaisesaus kwam steeds een vel. Maar de zalm en het vispannetje waren heerlijk en de friet niet vet. Toen we binnen kwamen, waren er geen andere gasten. We wilden graag aan het raam zitten, maar moesten een tweepersoonstafeltje kiezen. Het damestoilet is krap. De handendroger hangt naast het toilet. Voor mij (klein en korte armen) was het lastig mijn handen er goed in te drogen. Vanwege de goede service en prijs en het heerlijke eten raden we dit restaurantje aan. Mochten we weer eens in Sluis komen, dan eten we graag weer hier.

Gleich am Eingang des wunderschönen Städtchen gelegen an der Fußgängerzone. Super netter Service. Spricht englisch und deutsch. Schnell und sehr lecker. So muss eine frische Waffel schmecken! Kommen wieder 🥰 preislich absolut jeden Cent wert.

Habe leider den verkehrten Burger bekommen, obwohl mein Mann ein Teller Gericht bekommen habe, bekam ich einen Burger in Papier eingepackt. Anstatt auf einen Teller, wie ich es reklamiert habe hieß es von der Bedienung, ich verstehe sie nicht.

Goed eten,maar het is een snackbar en voor een snackbar is het wel erg duur. Service was prima en de sfeer is ook wel prima.

Vriendelijke bediening maar om er te zitten buiten is het wat minder je zit er namelijk dicht tegen de straat met veel verkeer (maar daar kunnen zij natuurlijk niets aan doen).

Vriendelijke bediening! Snel en efficiënt. Vele kleine hapjes en verzorgde schotels . Goede lokatie , veel passage . Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar !

Komen om 19.3 uur om wat te eten en krijgen te horen dat de keuken gesloten is. Op de website staat echter tot 21.00 uur geopend. Krijgen een raar antwoord, "dit is horeca.."

Gute Auswahl. Kibbeling und Pommes waren sehr lecker. Die Portion Majo wirklich Mal groß. Meine Schwiegereltern hatten Fischpfanne mit drei verschiedenen Fischarten und waren auch sehr zufrieden. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Parkmöglichkeiten sind in direkter Nähe ausreichend vorhanden. Von der Terrasse aus blickt man auf den Kanal.

Leckere Pommes Speciaal, mein persönlicher Favorit. Super freundliches Personal, danke dafür. Vom Sitzplatz konnte man auf den Kanal gucken, einfach schön

Heel verzorgde frituur in hartje Sluis, gezellig binnen in de winter eten en in de zomer lekker op terras, je kan ook frietjes gwn meenemen.

Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Bestellt wurde Schnitzel mit Champignonrahm, Salat und Pommes und Kaaskroketten mit Salat und Pommes. Alles war sehr lecker. Zum Nachtisch gab es noch ein Softeis. Wir mussten auch nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Die Bedienung war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen, und wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben das Einjährige als Discoevent mitgefeiert. Man konnte sich unterhalten und trotzdem bei Auflage von Vinylscheiben der 70er/80er/90er loszappeln und abrocken.

Wij als Belg vonden de frietjes niet wauw, ze waren zeer hard en hadden weinig smaak, de porties waren al de kleine kant
