Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff, delicious food, and excellent beer. Highly recommended

It's supposed to be dog-friendly, but I didn't experience that. There was one woman who liked animals, but the rest of the staff wasn't too keen, and other customers were being very rude. I'd say go somewhere else. Or change the policy. BTW, my dog ​​was tied up and with me.

Unfortunately, I have to give it one star! I can't understand such unacceptable customer service! The waitress walked past us twice and completely ignored us. Zero stars.

This is the worst beach pavilion in all of Holland. I definitely recommend not going there. It's better to wipe your bottom with the money.

It's great to sit on the beach and enjoy. Unfortunately, you have to pay for that in the end with higher prices. What could be improved is the translation of the memory card, which is sometimes misleading.

Beautiful beach pavilion, delicious food by the sea with friendly service. What more could you ask for?

Very nice beach bar on the beach in Breskens/Groede. The prices were still reasonable, the taste was very good, although the portions could have been a bit larger for the price. Drink prices were also okay :) The chicken satay was really very good. The meat was nice and tender, deliciously seasoned. The fries were nice and crispy. It was a shame, however, that despite the high number of guests, the seats directly facing the beach were "closed," even though at least one table there was occupied. So I was assigned a seat on the bench in the middle outdoor area. Service was okay. Half the staff were very friendly, the other half a bit gruff and reserved, almost irritating.

We ended the evening there after a lovely day at the beach. You can sit inside or outside. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. It's definitely worth a visit.

Lower service and quality compared to previous years

Unfortunately, the service is terrible... it takes forever to be served or to pay. When someone is served at the table, they stubbornly stare at the floor on the way there and back. The food is outrageous. - Grilled plate for 28 euros... what do you expect... I think everyone knows that... what do you get: 1. Grilled sausage 2 grilled skewers like from a discount store The plate is then filled with 4 grilled tomatoes and a 3cm piece of corn Outrageous - Chicken nuggets with fries for the kids Over 9 euros Nuggets dry and charred... Visit date: Mid-August Two adults and two children We were lucky to arrive, and a table in the front row was free. The two tables were initially quite dirty, but they were cleaned immediately. There's only one opinion about the location: right by the sea – unbeatable. We then decided, among other things, to try the fish of the day. When the food arrived, there was no cutlery at first, but it was brought quickly. The portions were manageable for me, but the children and my wife were full. The staff weren't particularly attentive, so the service only gave them four out of five.

Delicious food, very friendly staff, dog friendly

I ordered and received a chicken salad. Unfortunately, it was a supermarket salad. In other words: the contents of a salad bag on a plate, 4 slices of cucumber, roughly chopped tomato (the green part still on), carrots from a bag, and last but not least: tasteless chicken, drizzled with bottled vinaigrette. The dog was fine with it. For that price, you'd expect a freshly cooked chicken breast and a crisp, fresh salad. The accompanying perfectly poured pint of beer softened the blow. I also mentioned this to the friendly young lady who came to clean the table. My partner's shrimp croquettes were good, though. The accompanying fries were far too dry, almost like cardboard. A shame.

40 minutes for a badly set table then after an hour, we wait for the aperitif and there were only 2 breads. The Dutch are served much faster than the visitors. And 1h45 for a dish We waited 45 minutes for water! Really unacceptable

A beautiful beach pavilion for relaxing and enjoying yourself, whether for a drink or a meal, or even for a party. The staff is friendly and helpful; we love being there.

Beautiful location and delicious food.

They try to present glitz and glamour here, especially with the prices… in the end it is a pity that the family charm is missing here, as there are so many families with children all around.

The service is very poorly organized! There are five waitresses standing at the bar, chatting. Unfortunately, this isn't customer-oriented. If you wait 25 minutes for your second beer and order a new one, you'll end up drinking not two, but three. It's a shame to be treated like this on vacation in a foreign country!

We bestelden verschillende tapas o.a. 8 stuks frikandel. Naast de andere tapas (we gingen dus duidelijk niet eten!) kregen we een kindermaaltijd (geen kinderen aanwezig trouwens): frikandel met frietjes en een beetje appelmoes. De ober vroeg of het ok was. We wilden niet moeilijk doen en konden de frikandel best zelf versnijden. Dus ok, laat maar staan. Nadien kregen we wel de rekening gepresenteerd van een maaltijd en niet onze bestelde tapas! Dat vind ik echt bizar en klantonvriendelijk! Fouten doorrekenen aan klanten! We kregen de opmerking dat we de frieten dan niet hadden mogen opeten!!!! Ik heb serieus op mijn strepen moeten staan. De volgende keer belanden de frieten in de vuilnisbak! Wat een verspilling maar duidelijk de wens van het paviljoen….

It's wonderful to sit here. Beautiful architecture, a stunning sea view, and incredibly friendly service. The chicken salad was fantastic! I've rarely had such a delicious salad. It's the perfect place to sit and enjoy it to the fullest!

The salads contained almost nothing but lettuce, barely any tomatoes, and no other vegetables. Very poor and monotonous. Absolutely not recommended!

Vandaag beide een salade gegeten, een met kip en de ander met vis. Het leek nergens naar, smakeloos. In de vissalade zaten ongepelde garnalen ( al niet handig) maar er werd ook verzuimd een bordje voor het afval van de garnalen in te voegen. Wij waren inclusief drankje hier € 50,00 voor kwijt en bij het afrekenen de opmerking gemaakt over de kwaliteit welke opmerking werd afgedaan met “ ik zal het aan de keuken doorgeven”. Kortom geen “ pure” kwaliteit. Nooit meer dus😡

We went to Puur today. We had a great meal at a good price and were greeted very warmly. What more could you want?

We had our wedding here a month ago. We had a fantastic day. Joyce and her team made that happen, and I'm eternally grateful. It's a shame we can only give Atmosphere 5 stars; I'd rather give it 5 +++++++++++ :-)

The food was very good and reasonably priced. I thought the service could have been a bit better. The waitress came after we were seated to take our drink orders. However, we also wanted something to eat, so we tried to get her attention, but that was a bit difficult because three of the waitstaff were chatting with their arms crossed. We eventually managed to get the attention of another server who took our order. (Note: perhaps they were training people, we had the feeling that way from time to time.) The food was very tasty and arrived very quickly!

So, off to the beach to enjoy the sea – and then I discovered a beach bar. 🤩 I went in and wanted to order something. All the waiters and waitresses walked past me and ignored me. At some point, I approached a member of staff and said I'd like to order. She was visibly annoyed that I'd spoken to her and reluctantly took my order. After that, nothing happened for a long time. After about a quarter of an hour, I approached a waiter and asked if I could still get my order. After another ten minutes, my drink finally arrived. To pay, I had to run after the waiter or waitress. During that time, I was able to observe how the staff preferred to present themselves – how well they carried their trays and how good they looked doing it – rather than take care of the guests. Any trash left on the trays from used dishes was blown around by the wind. No one came back to pick it up. Only when other guests got up to clean up the trash themselves so it wouldn't blow onto the beach was anything done about it. Overall, as a single woman, I was completely ignored and obviously not welcome. I didn't speak a word to anyone and sat there quietly. After my third visit, I left the restaurant again—this time for good. Because of the wind and rain, I wanted to sit inside by the window. The place wasn't full, there was plenty of space, and the beach wasn't busy that day either. Nevertheless, I wasn't allowed to sit anywhere because, as a single person, I would have supposedly blocked a table for two, four, or six. Apparently, that was another reason I wasn't welcome. Aside from the very high prices, I was treated very poorly there. I'm only giving them one star because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write a review. A great stretch of beach. Prices are very high, though. The takeaway portions are far too small for the price. The beach is large and very tidy.

It's really impossible to recommend any beach pavilions in Nieuwvliet or Groede at the moment. Prices have skyrocketed everywhere, while quality hasn't kept pace. A very disappointing and expensive experience. In the evenings, there's almost nothing for less than €20. A family with two children, including drinks, won't spend less than €120, no matter which pavilion you go to. Instead, the discount stores in Breskens and Oostburg are all the more crowded. Self-catering is the order of the day. The upside: Despite the high season, you can always get a spot in the pavilions without any problems. This might give you pause and hopefully make the operators rethink their approach.

Friendly staff and delicious food with a beautiful view

Puur op zich een mooie strandbar met heel vriendelijk personeel. Ik en mijn vriendin hadden allebei een salade besteld met gegrilde tonijn. Er lag heel veel salade op met een paar andere groenten en een heel klein stukje vis voor 22 euro mochten ze er toch wat meer andere groenten en een groter stukje vis bijgelegd hebben was ondermaats. We hebben de rest van de salade meegenomen voor ons kippen, die zullen wel tevreden geweest zijn.

Price-quality ratio is consistent with the location. The food isn't top-notch, but it's not overly expensive either. The quality is commensurate. We had shrimp croquettes with bread and a burger with fries. Although artisanal, there were hardly any shrimp in the croquettes, but they tasted okay. There wasn't much lettuce on the plate. The bread was okay but nothing special. It tasted like pre-baked bread and, as expected, probably came from an industrial bakery. Our daughter enjoyed the burger, and she also approved of the fries.

We had a wonderful stay at this beach restaurant! The location is simply unbeatable – right by the sea with a breathtaking view that makes the stay even more special. The ambiance is cozy and stylish, perfect for a relaxing end to the day. The service was first-class: friendly, attentive, and always eager to fulfill our every wish. Upon request, they even added a sparkler to our dessert – a wonderful birthday gesture that made the moment even more unforgettable. The food was also outstanding: fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Overall, a place we would definitely visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend a wonderful time by the sea!

A lot of money for what you get: a tuna salad with about 20 grams of tuna and North Sea salad. With three kinds of fish, but only two of them...

A beautifully located restaurant right on the beach. Eight of us were there, hoping to enjoy a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the waiters weren't able to take our order within an hour. A first drink and goodbye.👎👎👎👎👎

Lovely place, with very friendly staff. The food was mediocre; even after complaining that the pasta had no flavor at all, there was little room for a solution, and it was also incredibly expensive for the quality we experienced. Unfortunately, the satay was also extremely salty and watery! We paid and left. We'll find another place next time.

I went there for dinner with my son. The meat and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The service was super friendly, and the view of the sea was beautiful. All in all, a lovely evening.

Very good food, top service, very nice ambience, directly on the kilometer-long beach

It was a hot, busy day, so that probably didn't help the situation, but it's clear the staff has little to no empathy for the customers. We had to wait a very long time for our food, and it was difficult to get hold of any waiters. Even getting a menu was difficult, as they assume you're asking for decks of cards and not the menu, so we had to search for them. The response was disinterested, and when we asked where our food was, it would be there shortly. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for it to arrive (a total wait of about 55-60 minutes), and our order was incomplete. Meanwhile, our plate was full and we pointed it out to the staff. This is another unusual attitude; I'll just explain that it's busy, and then it's okay. In short, incredibly expensive for what you get; it's okay, cafe-style. Of course, you're also paying for the view, but then the experience should be commensurate with the price. All in all, not recommended, and we won't be going back anytime soon. I would definitely move on to the next one.

Nice beach pavilion, beautiful terrace with nice view, friendly staff and delicious Sangria. The snacks and dishes were also completely fine! The beach itself is also very nice and a big plus for the toilet unit. More beaches should do that!

Very disappointing. The table we sat at was not clean and was only cleaned when we asked. Totally disinterested service. It was dirty, there were fries on the floor and a bucket in the middle of the room. Someone had an office near the entrance and the table was covered with a laptop and papers. No sense of involvement or ‘glad you’re here’. The food was bland and tasteless. Way too expensive for what it was. We will not be back.

Beautiful restaurant. Wide choice... the food could be a bit more refined in my opinion, but still ok.

The service could be better (more attentive and think along with a solution to arrange a table for us). We were with 4 people and could not find a table. And that while there were several people sitting at a table for 4 people. This could really be better. The food was fine for the price. I would only not order satay because that is really not worth it. A skewer with unmarinated chicken and satay sauce... a bit simple. On Saturday there was a private party and then the place is closed all day for other guests. So if you go to the beach you can not even get something to drink or eat while it is the only place on this stretch of beach. Then at least arrange a cart where people can get fries, ice cream and something to drink and make sure people know this before they buy a day ticket for parking!

We celebrated our children's wedding at Puur. The team led by Joyce supported us in the most professional way. They transformed the pavilion into a dream location! The team that served us was very friendly and super sweet to everyone. The food was fantastically delicious and we had the party of our lives. Thanks 1000x to everyone for making this party so memorable!

There are enough beach pavilions here in Groede, but this Puur is to be avoided, one waiter has been working there for quite some time, unworthy of the catering industry, seriously insulted by that person last year, never again for us, never experienced it elsewhere...

What a crazy beach bar. It's 30 degrees. Half past five. They don't sell ice cream anymore. Because that falls under "take away" and we don't do that in the evening.... Children very disappointed.

Ordered a fish stew. This was very disappointing. Some pieces of salmon and white fish covered in a white greasy sauce. As a customer I advise to take this dish off the menu immediately! Price was unbelievable €25,-

I chose the salmon starter. In fact, it was a generous portion of salmon with only two slices of baguette. The side dishes were generally too few. Prices were exorbitant.

Wij hebben hier gezeten met vrienden. Bediening is erg matig en prijs kwaliteit staat niet in verhouding. De snacks werden koud geserveerd. Het toppunt van brutaliteit (of onkunde) vonden wij toch wel de reactie van de serveerster op de vraag of ze warm water had voor de flesvoeding van de baby. We konden hiervoor een thee bestellen. Enig idee meid , theewater is 100 graden & niet geschikt voor babyvoeding. Zo jammer van deze mooie plek !

As a tourist, you hope for a pleasant experience, especially in a place like Groede that has so much charm and potential. Unfortunately, our visit to Puur was a big disappointment. The service was simply scandalous. The employees are lazy, uninterested and slow. They have no overview of who comes in first and who needs to be helped first. It seems as if they work there with reluctance – cold faces, no smiles, no customer focus. The most shocking thing? Even the boss doesn’t seem to know how to treat his customers. And that is immediately reflected in the behavior of the staff. A bad manager creates a bad working environment, and that is painfully clear here. The location itself has potential – the beach houses could be lovely – but they are also not well maintained. The cleaning is poor, there is no sense of hospitality, and everything looks neglected. It is truly unhygienic and disgusting at times. This is not a place where you as a tourist would happily return. As for the food: it is reasonable in itself, but heavily overpriced. For what you pay, you don’t get the quality you expect. And worse – the fried food sometimes tastes like old oil, as if the fat hasn’t been changed for days. That’s simply unacceptable in a catering establishment. We often wonder why small towns like Groede are declining and tourists are staying away. The answer is simple: if local entrepreneurs don’t train their staff, don’t show customer friendliness and don’t maintain high standards, then nobody will come. The attitude here is mechanical, disinterested and sometimes even rude. No communication, no sense of service. Bad mentality and a lack of basic skills. Would I come back here? Absolutely not. Would I recommend this place to friends or other travellers? Definitely not. Groede deserves better than this. And if it continues like this, this beautiful place will slowly turn into an empty, abandoned place like in a Netflix horror movie – a tourist ghost town. To Puur: it’s time to thoroughly review your way of working. For your own future, your own reputation and the economy of this region.

Nice beach bar! Nicely decorated. Friendly and hard-working staff. Extensive menu. Had a delicious meal here twice in the evening. Had to wait a while before we could order, but it was very busy. Not bad, nice view and friendliness make up for a lot. Because there were many guests it was a bit noisy, but you could still chat with each other (small group). Decent prices and good quality food. My daughter liked her children's menu. One point of attention; there could be more vegetables. Until next time!

A beautiful pavilion right on the beach – the decor has a neat and modern feel, and everything looks well-maintained and inviting. A particularly practical feature: the menu is easily accessible via a QR code at the table and is even available in several languages. It works great on a smartphone. The food selection is really good – there's something for every taste. I particularly recommend the wok-fried vegetables and the fresh salads, which are truly delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive – you feel completely welcome. Overall, a really nice place to stop by, whether for a small snack or a relaxed lunch. Definitely worth a visit!

OK but could be much better The sun made up for a lot...

Not much to say about the menu, only had drinks platters. The service could be a lot better, we were sitting inside on a hot day and we were kind of forgotten. First we waited 10 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes until our drinks arrived at the table. Another customer asked for attention by putting his hand on the stick and got a grumpy "I'm busy!" The atmosphere and service are therefore substandard, the season has not even started halfway and they are already grumpy with the customers! Most of them are also really unfriendly, long faces, even after waiting in line (20 min.) Before you can go to the terrace, (which was half closed by the way) with a long face. The slightly older lady inside was friendly. The sanitary facilities were also very substandard and dirty. All the soap was gone, and you have to turn the toilet paper rolls by hand because they are super stiff, and do not roll by themselves, and so you tear all the paper sheet by sheet until you have enough after 10 times. Furthermore a super nice tent! Looks very nice inside and from the outside it is beautiful.

Precies wat je verwacht. Meer niet. Wat de kaart als ingedient neerzet dat wordt het. Toefjes erbij zijn zelden pas in de keuken samen gekomen. Op zalf komt tube werk en knipjes kruiden enkelvoud. Gewoon brood met smeersels. 3 x dacht ik veschillende schijngestalten van zalm te bestellen. We waren er dit weekend 3 x. Beter georganiseerde bediening. Ruimere keuze dan ander strand paviljoens. Hebben redelijke wijn. Koffie is goedkoop automaten werk. De koks werkten sneller door dan bediening aankon/ cq rustig bleef doorwerken terwijl uitserveren dringend nodig was. Beste was nog ontbijt. Maar te uitbundig voor 2 volwassenen.

A quiet Saturday evening at 7:30 PM and 20 degrees by the sea. A perfect time for a drink with the sun setting on the beach. No, we are not allowed to sit on the low terrace overlooking the sea, because we are cleaning up... Then we waited 45 minutes and still no drink. Fortunately, @devrijbuiter was very hospitable and we had a nice drink there. Unfortunately no sea view, but we will see that next time from @Beachhouse25. No more Pure for us.

Apple pie with whipped cream was very tasty. The taste of the coffee is not our taste. In Holland I think there is always something watery.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here on the way to our campsite. I called about 15min before arriving to see if they had availability and when we arrived there was a table reserved for us. Within about five minutes of us sitting down our drinks order was taken and a few minutes later we could order food. The wait was short and we thoroughly enjoyed our food with a great view of the beach. Staff was very friendly and attentive and had no problem with our lack of Dutch skills. The interior of the restaurant was beautifully decorated.

Nice place but the food was really not fresh, old spare ribs, tough ham, the entire snack board was actually not tasty... we were reluctant to eat, which is a shame!

Delicious food with a view of the clean beach and sea.

We can't rate the quality of the food and we would have liked to rate the ambience - but we didn't get that far. Although the beach pavilion was not yet very busy in the morning, we were asked quite harshly to wait for a table to be assigned. The waiter then turned to routine tasks and ignored us from then on. After about 5 minutes we dared to politely ask where we could sit down. This request was also ignored. In the meantime, other guests who wanted to move were also harshly instructed not to sit down at another table on their own - even though most of the seats were still free. Due to the ignorant and unfriendly behavior of the staff, we changed the location.

Unbelievable what a poor service for such a beautiful place! First need to wait to be seated, then wait 15min to order a drink. (Note; it was a quiet day!) while half of the terrace is open. I come at this beach every year for 3 months and since i know its a horrible service. If you are the owner please contact me i can teach you how to run a hospitality place like this!

Super friendly and extremely tasty, we've been there several times, to eat, but also just to drink. We've been here again for the fourth year and still like we were at the beginning

It's never been as bad as it is today. We have been coming to Strandcamping Groede several times a year for 15 years and have been regular guests at Puur ever since. The portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. My salad with grilled tuna was small and apart from three slices of cucumber and two quarters of tomato, there was nothing left on it. The grilled tuna was cold and half of what was otherwise on the salad. It's a shame, other restaurants can do that better now. Unfortunately, my wife's mixed grilled plate also showed the same sad picture. I'm curious what Pentecost will be like.

Pleasant place to enjoy the sea with a tasty snack and drink

Been coming here since 2017, still great, good food, great service, dogs welcome. Especially great because they are also open in winter. Park your camper and have something to eat at Puur.

Nice location. Food “normally good”. Service leaves a lot to be desired. During the time we were there we were served by 5 different waiters/waitresses. Nobody felt really responsible for our table. We would definitely have consumed a few more drinks. But there was no response to our hand signals. Despite waving and shouting several times, we were ignored, even though it wasn't full. After the main course, it took about 20 minutes until someone finally accepted our dessert request. Same game for espresso. About 20 minutes until someone responded. Service therefore only max 2 points. Toilets no soap available. Toilets could be cleaned more frequently.

Beautiful tables and seating areas outside. Inside there are well-placed tables for 2 and 4 people and 2 large group tables for up to 8 people. Prices for drinks and food are moderate. Quality is correspondingly good. Fish and meat were recommended. Service was good.

When the weather is good, you will feel like you are on holiday 40 minutes from us. Even in St-Tropez they don't have such accommodation.
