What a treat to eat here! Super friendly and nice service. Very pleasant and helpful. And the food is just fantastic. Incredible flavors and super beautiful dishes. The accompanying sake is an experience in itself. We would love to come back again.

Delicious ramen and appetizers.

Enjoyed a truly excellent dinner here. The whole menu was delicious with the ramen as the absolute highlight. The ramen portion is generous so we definitely left satisfied. Drinks were also very good with some interesting sake pairings and nice cocktails. The restaurant as pleasantly arranged. We had a nice seat at the bar which gave us the opportunity to chat with the chef/owner a bit as well. You can also opt for a table which probably feels a bit more private. Highly recommend braving the reservation rush to visit this incredible restaurant!

We absolutely loved everything from our dinner at Fuku Ramen last night. The food was surprising, delicious, delicate and bold, all at the same time. One big umami experience. The saké pairing was great, really subtle flavours which worked great with the food. We sat at the bar which gave us a great view of the kitchen, and the chef being super precise and focused. We only heard afterwards that they were 1 man down in the kitchen that night but that didn't show at all. The only comment we would have is that the it was hard to get all the last drops of food with some of the spoons so we really needed to hold back not to lick the plates clean. While we were there the stock for the Sunday Ramen was already cooking as well, can't wait to try that one too sometime, I'm sure it's full of depth and flavour!

In one word: Fantastic. It was my second time at Fuku after having eaten there at the pre-opening. Again a special experience with exciting dishes and matching sakes. Very worthwhile, thanks for a wonderful evening and until next time!

Maitake dish blew my mind. Rest of the menu was very very good as well. Depth of flavor, variety, ... We took the addon tuna dish, which was great as well, but maybe the one I enjoyed least of all evening. I didn't have a sake pairing for every dish, but got 2 glasses and they were amazing. Super friendly staff, I love the amount of detailed explanation you get about the sake. Could've just listened for hours to the server talking about sake 😄 Will definitely try to come back for a second time.

Excellent quality dishes. Went for dinner for the 3rd time, twice the 6 course menu and now also the walk-in on Sunday and it was great again! The flavors continue to innovate, and this is by far the best restaurant in all areas. Highly recommended!

Unusually beautiful food. On its way to a first star. A 9.5 in Het Parool and a 9 in De Volkskrant. I ate six sublime courses with delicious sake on the side. What a culinary, hospitable feast… Eat here! Make a reservation, but beware: long waiting times.

We had a lovely evening over all! However, the food was a bit unsatisfactory compared to what we were promised. What bothered us the most was not the actual quality of the food but the part in which we had to wait around 30 mins between courses. For the prince, the food was not that outstanding.

We had high hopes for Fuku Ramen after hearing great things, and the food itself was delicious. However, shortly after dining there, my husband became severely ill with nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. He had the spicy ramen and the dry-aged tuna. After he finally threw up, he instantly felt better, which makes it very clear that the food was the cause. Luckily, I wasn’t sick—especially important since I’m pregnant—but this could have been a much worse situation. I reached out to inform them, hoping they would take responsibility or at least offer a solution. Instead, I received a dismissive response blaming the richness and fattiness of their broth and claiming they had never had an issue with their tuna before. While they said they would “monitor the situation,” there was no real concern or effort to make things right. Food quality and safety should be a priority, and I was shocked at their lack of accountability. Sadly, I won’t be returning. If you choose to eat here, be cautious.

Went there with very high expectations after Mara Grim's review, but those expectations were nowhere near met. One of the (rather tasteless) starters was a piece of white fish that had to be eaten by hand, but was not told that it consisted of 70 percent bones. It almost broke my tooth off... you say in advance as a waiter that there could be bones in it, but that was not done. the ramen main course is fine, but for half the price you can eat ramen with more flavor and more toppings at other chains/tents. The mediocre character of the food, the extremely high prices for mini dishes with little taste, in combination with the TikTok queue outside is very illustrative of what the average Amsterdammer perceives as good food.

Best Japanese meal you can get in Amsterdam, if not the best meal, period. Amazing food, service, atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough.

Admittedly, I was skeptical and wary of Fuku Ramen in the beginning because of the generated hype from food vloggers and influencers. But after a 2 month wait and after having a bowl of their ramen, I must say that they deserve all the attention and praise that they have been getting. Their “Shio Chintan Ramen” is clearly a cut above most ramen bowls served in the restaurants that I have tried here in the Netherlands. In my opinion, they have managed to balance the texture and flavor of the ramen’s different components really well. For one, the broth packed quite a punch as fat globules intensified the ramen's meaty flavor without making it greasy. The noodles were cooked just right, which made it a joy to chew on. And the pork slices that came with my order? Tender, moist, and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed the ramen bowl that I was served. The staff were very friendly and courteous; they patiently explained to my girlfriend and I how things worked in the menu after we got settled in our seats. We were one of the very first customers that afternoon (i.e. they opened at 1 PM and we had a reservation at that time exactly) and based on what we saw and experienced, the ambiance of the restaurant was rather cozy. What could have made things better? As is always the case with great restaurants, the (minor) gripes that will pop up are almost always with the food’s price and quantity. Although the ramen here is objectively more expensive than most, my opinion is that quality of the dish justifies the price. The same goes for the quantity; adding a small heap of noodles to the bowl would have made me too full to appreciate the ramen. However, a little more broth would have been welcome and much appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be coming back again to try their other offerings. It will be quite a while though because the restaurant is almost always fully booked but to those who want to try Fuku Ramen, persevere on (i.e. sign up for their waitlist) and you shall be rewarded with seats soon enough!

Would definitely 10/10 recommend this amazing one of a kind restaurant. Dish after dish was so full of flavour and sitting at the counter made the experience even more great. We could watch the chefs prepair the food and having great chats with them about the concept and Japan. The drinks were paired perfectly with the food and the service was very very good. Such cool interior that matches perfectly with the style of the food. A real gem!!!

Long queue and overrated. Salty soup. Noodle is nice but not homemade. Tonkatsu is with a big piece of pork fat.

This truly was amazing. I really had the greatest food experience here. We booked almost a month in advance, but it was worth the wait. They really get your food palette going, then the ramen as the main dish and they build it down again. I really disliked the Sake, hut thats a personal thing.

Had dinner here last week, and it was amazing! Every dish was unique and delicious. We ordered tuna sashimi as an extra, which was a great addition. Of course, the highlight was the ramen—absolutely incredible. There is also a very nice sake selection and short but good list of cocktails. I will be back!!! Incredible food and service, if you come without a reservation you have to wait a bit but it will be rewarding

We had dinner here last week, and oh what an evening. The food exceeded our expectations in the best way possible, every dish was a lovely journey of tastes. The restaurant itself was modest in size, but the intimate ambiance was lovely. Over the course of 2.5 hours, we were cared for by the entire staff of 4. They were fully booked so it got as busy as it could, but we never for once felt neglected. They even remembered that it was my partner’s bday and gifted us a bag of ramen at the end (which was in my partner’s words “what a great bday gift”). I’m surprised not a lot of people here mentioned the quality of the noodles because that was definitely a highlight for me personally. The texture was a perfect balance of chewiness and softness, and the taste was of quality ingredients. I haven’t been to Japan so I can’t attest to its authenticity, but Fuku’s was definitely one of the best in-house ramen I’ve ever had. The only minus is that it’s nearly impossible to get a reservation, you’d have to book months in advance and even then, chances are you’d still be waitlisted.

I ate chicken paitan ramen. The noodles, soup, and chashu were all very delicious. I was a little hesitant because I don't like spicy food because it contained chili oil, but the mildness of the soup neutralized it enough for me. I would like to try a different flavor next time.

We had a great night at Fuku Ramen! The food (chef’s menu) was top notch, with the best dish being the ramen of course. I particularly loved the handmade noodles in it! Sake selection is also impressive and we received great guidance from the staff on what to choose! Everyone working there were super friendly and attentive, while the atmosphere was warm and cosy, loved the vibe of the place! Highly highly recommended!

A true gem on the Amsterdam map! Went on a Sunday and started queuing around 25min before the opening to ensure I get a seat at the bar (there is an option to book a table but it has to be done weeks in advance). The place has a cozy vibe, you get to watch as your food gets prepared and chat to the owners - a lovely Polish couple. I went for a spicy Tan Tan ramen and tuna tartare. Tuna was absolutely mind blowing - it had a nice spicy kick to it and I could honestly eat it every day. There’s a reason why Fuku is considered the best ramen place in town as well - the broth, noodles and all toppings created a perfect bowl, full of flavor. I will definitely be coming back, from food to the atmosphere this place is landing on my favorites list for sure!

You can use a lot of words to describe eating at Fuku. But you can also just use one: awesome. I have been there countless times (approxamitely 50+) already and will keep coming countless times. Everytime is a feast, the food is excellent and even after more than 50 visits i still get blown away by the pure excellence Jakub and his team manage to deliver. Besides that Aleks is the queen of hospitality. She makes Fuku feel like a warm bath where you keep wanting to dive in to!

Locals, expats, visitors, brace yourselves for this great dining experience in Amsterdam. When entering, you are immediately greeted by staff who offer to take your coats and escort you to your table. Ambiance is warm and decor is modern Japanese, really great! I had made this booking a while ago given the limited availability, and I was under the impression that I was going there to only have what seemed to be a fantastic bowl of ramen. To my pleasant surprise, I had booked the 6 course menu which was very exciting. We actually went all out, so we opened with the blue fin sashimi (not included but highly recommended) and they offered a seaweed salad, daikon and ebi (complimentary and great). For the courses, we started with the Hatate which was superb, then the Hamachi which was magnificent, followed by the Seabass which was excellent. After a phenomenal start, we continued to the ramen which was incredible- rich broth with complex flavours, tender Chashu, and possibly the best noodles I’ve ever had. I must admit, I underestimated the portions and quantity, so by the time the ramen was done I was truly stuffed. However, they brought out the Kakigori which is shaved ice and mascarpone with lemon zest, and it was literally the perfect pallet cleanser. Finally, we ended with buckwheat & nori dessert, and it was a banger. For drinks, we kept it simple with wine and beer, although they had an extensive sake menu which I am very fond of and will be exploring in my next visit. Overall, an incredible experience and by far one of the best dining experiences in Amsterdam. Hats off to the chefs, cooks and entire staff.

Nice for a special occasion. Also, the most costly ramen I tried so far… I went both for lunch on a Sunday afternoon walk-in, and for diner. Both options are different, and both times were good if that’s what you’re into.

2nd time to try the ramen on the Sunday Brunch. The flavors are always on point and the noodles are delicious. The desert are also very nice as the flavors are different from what I am used to. The portion of the desert is also quite small which makes it enjoyable after the ramen. Furthermore, the staff is always very kind and explains everything. I will definitely come back again.

Visiting Fuku Ramen feels like visiting an old friend. The restaurant is quite compact, however, the vibe is extremely cosy, and I would even say ambient. The owners did absolutely great job to ensure the acoustics is not mental like in the most Dutch restaurants. The food is insanely delicious. My personal favorite is bar table, where you can see chefs preparing the dishes. Always with a smile and a good joke! All the personell is super friendly and provide best recommendations for drinks pairing etc, while not being intrusive. I am going to go there again, again and again (for as long as that crazy delicious bbq pumpkin is still there:)). An absolute gem in Amsterdam!

Such a special place, we were blown away. Beautiful food! Such care and attention to each dish and incredible depth of flavour. The tuna was well worth it and would recommend as an add on. Lots of great sake and I had a peach cocktail which was delicious. We were lucky to get counter seats and see the food being prepped and played. Staff were so lovely and service was top notch. I recently visited Fuku Ramen in Amsterdam, looking forward to a warm bowl of ramen and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was quite enjoyable, with the ramen meeting expectations—nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying. However, my experience was overshadowed by the service. Our waitress seemed to be more focused on her own conversations than on her guests. She spoke loudly with others, enough that it felt as if we were overhearing a lively exam debate rather than enjoying a meal. I appreciate friendly and casual service, but there's a fine line between approachable and disruptive. Everything change when the guy from the kitchen come and help us with esplanation. It’s a shame when good food is marred by inattentive service, especially when the front-of-house experience can make or break a visit. I hope Fuku Ramen takes this feedback to heart, as a bit more mindfulness from the staff could turn a good meal into a great one.

Food is the standout. We went for the course menu during the week. Every course is different and cooked to perfection, the grilled sea bass was one of the best I’ve tried; however, the ramen was my personal favorite. The broth that night was made from 5 different soy sauces, so it was very delicate. The pork was tender and delicious, and the egg and noodles were cooked perfectly. Service was just a tad slow between courses but it was still a perfect night.

Okay look no further, this is by far the best ramen in Amsterdam! But that’s not all, they have super interesting concept and change menu often, and if you are not a planner like some of us and don’t make reservation in advance, you can always come on Sundays and wait in line. If you wait for 2hr (I hope not haha) it’s 100% worth it. Besides ramen, few other dishes were equally impressive, and atmosphere was intimate and welcoming, everyone working seems to really love what they do, which directly translates into magic of this place. Also really nice selection of Sake.

Really nice place that serves only a 6/7 course set menu. The interior is well thought out. There’s a large variety of sake, though we didn’t go there to try it. The ramen was excellent: a delicious bouillon made from three meats, with two types of meat (duck and pork) and great noodles. The starter with scallop and the second starter of cured shrimp were of a high standard. However, it was disappointing that they served two cold desserts: Japanese ice and ice cream. Having a warm dessert instead of the ice would have been much better. *Update after the comment from the restaurant: my complaint wasn’t mainly about ice cream, but the pre-desert/desert of the ice. Is it something you can substitute?

Went for the a la carte menu on Sunday. Food ordered: 2 starters: - Dry-aged otoro & hotate/scallop 2 ramen: - Tonkotsu & pumpkin ramen 1 side: - Charsiu don (add-on with tonkotsu ramen) The otoro slices were seriously good. Very interesting flavour profile when dry-aged. Changed the texture of the tuna belly as well. - 5/5 The hotate was very sweet & fresh, albeit a little badly matched with the rest of the dish. The flavor of the ikura (salmon roe), the sauce (oyster/shellfish flavored) and the tiny takuan chunks were too strong for the delicate scallop. - 3/5 The tonkotsu ramen was really good. The broth was thick, creamy but not oily at all. Noodles were amazing, very chewy and had great texture. The charsiu slices were very thin and well cooked. The ajitsuke tamago were on point as well. My only gripe is that, for the price it was charged, they could have given a slice or two more of the meat. - 4.5/5 The pumpkin (vegetarian) ramen was delicious as well but it tasted more like a Singaporean laksa than a ramen. The broth had very good smell & flavour, strong coconut milk scent to it, like a Singaporean/Malaysian curry laksa. The dish had a few pieces of tempe and that didn't go that well with the whole dish. It would have been better if they put pieces of aburaage instead. - 4/5 The charsiu don was the biggest disappointment of the whole meal. Ultra salty, tasted like it was soaked in soy sauce. So disappointing and unpalatable that I only had two spoonful of it. The texture of the meat was more like braised pork rather than barbequed pork (the literal meaning of charsiu). - 1/5

We ate with 3 friends. And each of them was delighted. What a gem! Rarely eaten so delightful. Refined taste in a variety of ‘layers’. It looked good, tasted wonderful and was full of pleasant surprises in taste and structure. Very welcoming and charming staff, that gives one the feeling of coming home. I can wholeheartedly recommend Fuku Ramen to all those people that love great and refined food. Try it. And you will come again (and again and again). I certainly will.

We had the 7 courses with an extra dish of dry aged tuna. All dishes were really not that tasty. The BEST tuna I've ever had. With everything there were multiple taste sensations and the portions were also good. Staff super friendly and helped me with the correct sake pairing. Enjoyed this evening!! Definitely go more often

Below Average food. I was willing to get over all that until a lady (and I use that term loosely) arrived and proceeded to have an argument with the staff about to being to accommodate her and her driver at table. ( according to the restaurant’s reply she just informed them that her driver will wait outside like she’s the queen of england) Then she was placed next to me at the bar (the only place that was available to sit at the restaurant, yet the restaurant’s reply says that they could have moved me somewhere else) she continued to have a conversation on the phone right next to my ear the whole time, in arabic, and it was a very negative conversation. The staff should have to told her to wrap the phone call up, she literally spoke on the phone for over 30 mins. The staff just stood there dazed and confused waiting for the subpar food to be released to the crowd. They should literally implement a no phone policy. The waitress who was literally clueless even asked me how my experience was at the end of the meal. I was on vacation and if you are considering trying this place while you are on vacation don’t it will be an utter waste of time. They are literally clueless when it comes to customer service of the standard they are trying to portray. The design of the place is cute though. (The restaurant’s reply is such a slap in the face and is riddled with stuff that doesn’t make sense. The place was full where would you have moved me? Why would she feel the need to inform you that her driver will wait outside? Word of advice next time call the customer whose evening was ruined and apologize, I would have been willing to remove my review had you done that. But you playing the blame game is just childish. According to you I should have told the staff that the lady next to me is rude and for them to do something about it. Like we are in Kindergarten. Good luck staying in business with this kind of attitude and tasteless food.)

Top gegeten. Verrassend smaken. Vooral het voorgerecht van rog en het ramen gerecht sprongen eruit. Wat een goede smaken. Iedereen enthousiast, komen zeker een keer terug. Mooie, smaakvolle en rustgevende omgeving. Leuk, klein, maar met uitmuntende keuken en bijzonder vriendelijk en deskundig personeel, dat laatste wil ik ook even benadrukken.

We were served an assemblage of seafish and vegetation with wonderfully crafted sauces and crazy garlic capers, YUM! Only on some dishes though. ☝️we had some silly tomatoes with seaweed and a creamy creamy tofu cream on top, delish up to a certain extent.. hmm maybe 5/10 for the tommies? Broccolini was FIRE though! Beautiful combination of flavors and textures, I wish I was vegan. HOWEVER! The squid sashimi was raw and amazing, the brill was not fishy enough considering it was a fish 🫢 Seemed like it was swimming in a dry river almost!! Maybe. The ray was actually TO DIE FOR!! Beautiful pear, which paired well with the ray as well as the herbs and crispys on top. 8.8/10 We were served sake, the sake was not a usual sake, it was beautiful sake. sweet and light sake, with notes of mushroom in the sake, GREAT!! Super nice recommendation from the attentive and friendly service!! Thank you guys ❤️❤️ Toilets were clean and smelled sweet! Yum

We went for a set menu in a weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Very interesting menu with unique combinations of textures and tastes. Every single dish has it’s own character. The main is the ramen of course and during the week that we were there (they change ramen every week) the ramen was based on pork. Usually I find pork ramens to be quite heavy but this one had very thin slices with minimal amount of fat that made this dish quite light. It also had a lot of vegetables that I often lack in many ramens. The desserts were also very tasty and creative. It is definitely an experience in Amsterdam and I want to go there next time

What an incredible experience with the set five course meal. Highly recommend sitting at the bar to see the chef and his team in action, and if you have the chance, be sure to chat with him and hear his wonderful story of his love for Japan and Ramen while being delighted by unique flavours.

Great restaurant for ramen! The pork chasu was delicious! The prices are high but definitely worth it!

Absolutely amazing experience! The entire course was full of flavour and each presentaion was gorgeous. It is such authentic Japanese (with a twist of European taste) I was sure that the chef ia Japanese...but turns out he is not! Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the place. I would definitely revisit on Sundays and have that ramen again.

Friendly and polite service. I had high expectations after reading all the other reviews, but the noodles were not the best I ever had. After standing in line for half an hour, we had to wait an hour for our food, which I think is simply too long. The food is also quite expensive.

Absolutely great experience of modern Japanese cuisine. Tried 6-course set and also social Sunday ramen. Cocktails are stunning as well as alcohol-free drinks choice.

Nice atmosphere, attentive service, but above all very tasty food. The windows almost brought tears to my eyes (and not from misery). All dishes around it also great.

Probé Fuku Ramen en febrero de 2024 en su menú social de domingo. Tuve un tiempo increíble en términos de servicio, sabor y limpieza del restaurante. Empecé con sashimi de atún rojo marinado, wasabi , caviar (2 piezas) , luego tomé increíblemente delicioso salmonete rojo Bo Zushi. Como plato principal, tenía ramen vegano Shoyu Chintan que tenía una buena base. Para concluir, tomé sando de helado de wagashi de Monaka que es un helado casero de semilla de calabaza en monaka (arroz crujiente en forma de flor) , anko, kinako y bargamot. Mientras almorzaba, probé 2 vasos de sake la primera vez. Me gustó mucho. También me senté en el bar y tuve una charla con los chefs que fue una muy buena experiencia. Si buscas un ramen de buena calidad, ¡no debes perderte Fuku Ramen!

Fuku Ramen was a really special experience. The food was varied, thoughtful and well executed. As someone who doesn't know a lot about sake this was a very cool experience with an open and welcoming staff, ready to recommend and help you. It really opened my eyes to sake and how delicious it can be paired with food (or alone of course). We really enjoyed our visit, we hope to come again!

Tasty ramen, rich broth. Went there on a Sunday without reservation, was seated promptly. Staff was extremely friendly.

Michelin restaurant prices for a casual ramen didn’t feel right, the side dishes don’t make up for the hefty price tag (>200+/2pers) of the dinner menu. The place is very hyped, food was served too slow. I guess the place is ok for only eating the ramen for a lunch.

Atmosphere and service were good, just as it should be, shashimi had a nice taste but a bit overpriced and the ramen was also tasty but could have had more expected given the previous reviews that praised it to the sky. But of course tastes differ

I had a delicious meal here at the bar. That is highly recommended, because the chef is very pleasant. The food is fantastic! Delicious little snacks that nicely build up to a spectacle! The ramen is very good, the Polish chef is really a top ramen maker. Recently, because he is not of Japanese descent and there is no Japanese staff working there, it still feels like you are in Japan at fuku.

The focus is on excellent, comforting food. No overkill on ingredients, just quality. I really loved to see the head chef have fun with his colleagues, that made us feel comfortable too. Special thanks to the chef for giving us some Japan tips and a Fuku Ramen backstory after our dinner. Those are the little things that matter a lot.

The love and passion that the chefs have for their art is truly fascinating. Every dish was incredible! Also, the staff was super nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommendation

Very curious about “Ramen Course Menue” at the beginning & very satisfied by the beautiful creation & the originality. Intricate combination of ingredients. Success in visual & taste at the same time. The chef nailed the essence of Japanese cuisine but also kept his original take on Japanese food.

Came at 5:05, told them we have time until 6:00. They said sure, no problem. Ordered immediately. No ramen in sight until 6. Decided to leave after. Waiting more than 45min for ramen is not acceptable.

Wouldn't recommend visiting on Sundays without booking. The wait time to be seated was around 40 minutes for us, which is okay, but two ramens took around an hour to get served. The vegetarian ramen was very nice and creamy, the meat ramen was quite plain and not special. We definitely had a new experience with waiting for food for so long, but it wasn't worth the wait or the money in our opinion
