My wife chose this restaurant for a cozy evening together. Upon entering, the experience was immediately positive. The restaurant is chic and atmospheric. Everyone on the staff was friendly. As a picky eater, I can't fault any of the 10 creations. What an art to infuse each dish with so much flavor. It was fantastic. The nice thing is to not do this too often, so it remains exclusive and special. But we will definitely go back.

Een heel mooie historische locatie,hartje Sittard. Een heel goed team met veel aandacht voor de klant en een goede uitleg van de gerechten.Een geweldige sommelier met een goede wijnkeuze en veel kennis over de wijnen.Hetceten is altijd zeer verrassend en subtiel. We zijn reeds een aantal keren gaan eten bij G7 en de ervaring is heel stabiel. Het is vooral de totaalervaring die ons aanspreekt. Het eten,de wijnen,de aandacht, de kennis en zeker ook het eten. We zijn bij veel sterrenzaken geweest en eetlijk gezegd overstijgt de ervaring bjj G7 de meeste 1 sterren restaurants. Zeker een aanrader

I have been to this restaurant twice and honestly it feels off. They act, and price, as if they are a Michelin restaurant but yet they are not. The food is good don't get me wrong but not for that price. There is a notable difference if you visit a real Michelin star restaurant in the same price range. Furthermore, we had the whine menu but they only serve halve glasses with their explanation that it is better not to drink to much. Fair enough, but then they charge full price for the whine? If I would have known this I would have want full glasses. The first time we went we had the BOB whine menu which was good.

Yesterday evening I went to G7 in Sittard for dinner for the first time in a long time. Cosy atmosphere and friendly service. However, I was disappointed with the food this time, because I don't eat anything from the sea. I had indicated this in advance, expecting to get mainly meat dishes. But unfortunately, of the "10 creations", no fewer than nine were vegetarian. As a meat lover, I found this a great pity. I indicated this on the spot, but nothing was done about it. The answer was that it is now standard policy to only serve vegetarian replacement dishes to people who don't eat fish. Too bad that this is not communicated in advance. In that case, I would have eaten somewhere else. Now I didn't think it was worth the price anymore. For those who do eat "sea food", G7 is of course still recommended.

Super well organized, everyone's wishes were taken into account. In short, we were able to enjoy a very nice and tasty lunch.

Delicious food, great service, knowledgeable staff. Will definitely come back. Last glass of wine from the arrangement would not be our choice with this beautiful dessert. Definitely recommended to eat here.

Leuke avond, verrassend lekker gegeten. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Leuke vernieuwende wijnkeuze bij de gerechten. Kleine hapjes, in combinatie van twee per keer, pasten allemaal erg goed bij elkaar. Enorm goed en smakelijk kaasplankje. Hier werken mensen die er echt verstand van hebben. Tip, beetje jammer dat aan het einde van de avond het personeel hun werkkleding wisselde voor eigen kleding en zich nadrukkelijk bezighielden met opruimen dan de aandacht voor de gasten.

Amazing. We could just leave the review as one word! Visited with our Dutch friends a couple of weeks ago on a busy Saturday evening - all of the staff were so helpful in explaining the dishes in English. The food is stunning with real pride from the expert chefs. The wine pairing is very good (trying to get ‘locally’ sourced wine where possible). Equally we also experienced the non-alcoholic pairing and they are the best we’ve ever tried as pairings. Massive thanks to all of the staff for speaking English and making us feel so welcome. Appreciated!

The dishes are culinary and visually excellent, the atmosphere and decoration (bistro area) are very pleasant and atmospheric and the service is excellent and very friendly. The explanation of the various creations and wines (we had a wine arrangement, 6 glasses of wine for €65) was clear and nicely presented. On the other hand, there are a few downsides. The creations (we had a 10 creations menu) are extremely small (amuse size or smaller) and even the 'main course' was only 2 appetizers large. At other restaurants of this caliber there is more of a build-up to a main course, which was unfortunately not the case here. Of course, this may be the intention, but then it is no longer really dining for me. Serving the 10 creations took almost 4.5 hours, which means approximately 27 minutes per creation! In the beginning the time between courses was still pleasant, but as the evening progressed, the times became longer and longer, which meant that the whole experience did not really come into its own. The bistro's bucket seats are also not suitable for such a period of time. Roughly half of the wines in the wine package had good body and depth. I got the idea that the other wines did not really do justice to the creations and were added more as 'curio' wine. By the way, €10 for a local bubble as an aperitif is really too expensive, sorry. The cheese board for dessert costs another €10 extra (which we were not told), bringing the 10 creations menu to €115 pp. All in all, we paid a good €400 for 2 people (10 courses, aperitif, water & wine package) for more (felt) tasting than food with a long wait in between. The question remains whether this justifies such an amount.

Zeker als je in het kerkje zit spreekt de ambiance voor zich! We waren later dan gepland en niks was téveel gevraagd. Van de finger foods tot aan het dessert heerlijke smaak combinaties! Met als favoriet de skrei! Mooie verfijning en prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding door het gebruik van mooie toch wel exclusievere ingrediënten ! Zeker ook de servies keuze erg verrassend! Wat wij ook nog gezegd willen hebben is dat de bediening heel kundig was en erg professioneel, met name de jongste dame van het team, ga door door, respect! Ook de andere jonge vrouw in de bediening weet precies wat ze doet en werkt keihard! Wees zuinig op dit soort mensen!💪🏻 We gaan hier zeker vaker terugkomen! Klein maar fijn. Wij hebben genoten van de kleine, fijne gerechten. De bediening was formeel/vriendelijk, met oog voor detail. Uiteraard is de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding na afloop terug in de auto naar huis de hamvraag. Gaan we dit ooit nog eens doen? Wij houden de lezers nog even in spanning. Wordt vervolgd…

G7 in Sittard: a hidden gem in a church As lovers of refined gastronomy and with several star restaurants on our list, we are not easily impressed. But G7 in Sittard pleasantly surprised us. This restaurant, located in an attractive church, is a hidden gem where everything comes together: atmosphere, taste, service and experience. Eating in a church – a special setting The location alone makes G7 special. The high ceilings and warm lighting create an intimate, relaxing atmosphere. It feels spacious, without being distant. Ten creations full of flavor We opted for the menu with ten creations, and from the first appetizer it became clear that this is a kitchen that knows exactly what it is doing. Each dish was perfectly balanced, with ingredients that went well together. From the first to the last course we were surprised by flavor combinations that were in perfect harmony. Crispy, creamy, fresh and savory came together in different combinations, creating a layered and intense tasting experience. The dishes were not only a feast for the eyes, but above all a pleasure to eat. Perfect wine pairings The wines were carefully chosen and complemented the dishes perfectly. The combinations felt well thought out and took the flavors to the next level. No standard choices, but really wines that completed the overall picture. Service that's right The service was professional and hospitable. The dishes and wines were discussed with knowledge and enthusiasm, but always in a natural and relaxed way. An experience that rivals a star restaurant We have visited many star restaurants and G7 is absolutely on par with them. The dishes, the atmosphere and the service are perfect down to the last detail. This is a hidden gem that is well worth discovering. We will definitely come back!

Last Saturday I enjoyed a great culinary evening at restaurant G 7 in Sittard by Danny Meijers. Super beautiful dishes, delicious matching wines and very good and friendly service. In short... everything was perfect from entering to leaving. I often eat in restaurants with one Michelin star and G7 certainly does not do this here. for below and even surpasses some others with one star, I think. Recommended for a culinary experience for anyone who likes refined food.

Enjoyed a Christmas dinner prepared to perfection. The various courses were prepared with care and were all small works of art, a feast for the eyes and delicious. The explanation of each dish and the accompanying wine completed it.

Een speciale avond voor een speciale gelegenheid. Na een warm welkom en een attentie, werden we naar de kerk begeleid, een prachtige plek die stijlvol ingericht is. De dunne gordijnen die als 'scheidingswand' dienen vonden we fantastisch. Zo zit je intiem maar houd je toch overzicht. We kozen voor het 10-gangen menu met de bijbehorende wijnen. Iedere gang een verrassing en een lust voor oog en zintuigen. Kortom, we hebben intens genoten van deze avond vol aandacht voor ons en de gerechten die we kregen.

Na uitleg van de sommelier over dit kerkje weten we precies dat zich hier heel wat heeft afgespeeld. Een protestant kerkje in het katholieke Sittard. We worden de hele avond bediend door vriendelijk personeel en ter zake doende. De opgediende amuses en gerechten zien er spectaculair uit. Niet alle amuses zijn hoog op smaak en soms zelfs wat vlak. Het gerechtje met de verschillende biet was voortreffelijk. Ook het stukje vlees met de heerlijke jus was geweldig. Voor mij de grote winnaar van vanavond. Zo ook de voortreffelijke wijnen die allen zeer goed paste en verrassend waren. Overigens ook prima uitleg over de wijnen. Als afsluiter de uitgebreide kaasplank. Ronduit fantastisch met rozijnen/ gemberbrood. Mooie ambiance met gedimd licht en slimme toepassing van gordijnen. Prima avond.

Alles klopt. Eten was top, goede bediening en de juiste aandacht voor de wijnen. Grote pré is de alcoholvrije foodpairing. Eigengemaakte cocktails gemaakt van producten uit de eigen moestuin, aansluitend op de gerechten.

Last time I ate in the church for the first time. I prefer the terrace in the summer to dine at G7.

I don't often give out 5 stars, but this restaurant is more than worth the stars! Truly "Heavenly Enjoyment".... Everything is just right, the dishes, the matching wines and mocktails (for the woman 😉) and the very knowledgeable and friendly service. The beautiful ambiance completes the picture. Cheers to the team!!

Dit restaurant heeft een gezellig buitenterras waar we door het prachtige weer tot laat in de avond heerlijk hebben gedineerd. Het diner is perfect verzorgd. Met oog voor detail voor zowel de borden waarop geserveerd wordt als het eten zelf. Het zijn stuk voor stuk kunstwerkjes. Met passie en toewijding worden de gerechten en bijpassende lekkere wijnen toegelicht door het vriendelijke personeel. En ook de wijnen worden gepresenteerd met steeds nieuww bijpassende wijnglazen. Kortom een avondvullend diner dat zeker is aan re raden. De accommodatie binnen (de kerk) is overigens ook erg mooi.

Dit restaurant kunnen we zeer aanbevelen. We hebben hier in de intieme sfeer van een kerkje genoten van de amuses en gerechten. De smaakcombinaties van de creaties waren bijzonder en erg geslaagd. Het personeel was vriendelijk en professioneel. Met veel persoonlijke aandacht. Omdat we twee avonden op rij hier hebben gegeten (wat uitzonderlijk is voor zo’n kwaliteitsrestaurant), hebben ze de tweede avond ook een paar alternatieve gerechten geserveerd. Tip: reserveer zeker op vrijdag/ zaterdag ruim van tevoren bij dit fantastische restaurant.

Op deze vrijdagavond met 9 personen gedineerd bij G7. Het restaurant in het kerkgedeelte is recent vernieuwd en is zeer stijlvol ingericht. Wij dineren vanavond echter in het serre gedeelte. Een prima plek voor een grotere groep met uitzicht op de keuken die geruisloos en vol focus blijkt te werken! Bij het aperitief volgen al snel een groot aantal amuse hapjes. Stuk voor stuk zijn deze mooi en verfijnd gepresenteerd. De hapjes zijn geheel vegetarisch, maar vlees of vis wordt zeker niet gemist! De hapjes zijn goed op smaak en de verschillende texturen (krokant, romig) zijn perfect! Het geserveerde zuurdesembrood van het plaatselijke Kollenbergerspelt is zalig, net als de beurre noisette boter. Jammer dat dit gedurende de avond niet wordt bijgevuld en een stukje brood als begeleiding van de gerechten hierdoor ontbreekt. Wij kiezen voor het uitgebreide menu met bijbehorende wijnen. Gestart wordt met de rauwe zeebaars die kort is geschroeid. Het garnituur van tomaat, komkommer, olijf en Nederlandse “feta” kaas doet heel erg denken aan een Griekse salade, maar dan in culinaire vorm. Een mooi gebalanceerd en fris gerecht dat een uitstekend begin is! De erbij geserveerde Italiaanse wijn van een inheemse druivensoort is bijzonder, maar erg lekker en een goede begeleider van dit gerecht. De 2e gang is het signatuurgerecht van de chef. De paarse wortel krijgt zoals men verteld een bereiding van enkele dagen waarna het wordt verwerkt tot een soort vegetarische steak tartaar. De tartaar wordt gepresenteerd in een dunne huls en wordt afgetopt met een schuim van mierikswortel. Aan tafel volgt nog de ponzu dressing! Wat een heerlijk, smaakvol en origineel gerecht! De titel signatuurgerecht is absoluut terecht! Ook hier is de wijn-spijs combinatie perfect. De riesling uit de Moezel betreft een “grosser gewachs” wijn en is van hoge kwaliteit. Vervolgt wordt met een tartaar van tonijn met chawanmushi (Japanse eiercustard). De tonijn is van goede kwaliteit en goed op smaak. De chawanmushi heeft weinig smaak en daardoor proeft dit iets weeïg. Dit onderdeel voegt ook qua structuur en /of smaak weinig toe aan het gerecht. Ernaast geserveerd een kleine bonbon van ganzenlever met nashi peer! Een heerlijk smaakvol hapje, maar de connectie met het tonijngerecht ontbreekt. De weisburgunder uit Oostenrijk is opvallend vol van smaak en een heerlijk glas wijn. De volgende gang is weer vegatarisch. De daikon (Japanse radijs) krijgt verschillende (warme) bereidingen en wordt begeleidt door een zalige saus met een subtiele hint van gember! Een heerlijk smaakrijk gerecht! De wederom Oostenrijkse wijn is een prima begeleider van het gerecht. Als hoofdgerecht een uitstekend stukje runder entrecote! De vetrand van het vlees is gebruikt als basis voor de erbij geserveerde beurre blanc saus van lavas en de goddelijk lekkere runderjus. Daarnaast nog een zalig stukje sukade met boontjes en een groene asperge. Om de laatste restjes van dit heerlijke gerecht van het bord te deppen, wordt los een stukje foccacia brood met tomaat geserveerd. Een volle Rhône wijn vormt de goede begeleider. De volgende gang vormt de opmaat naar de desserts. Een “kersenbonbon” is gevuld met ganzenlever en wordt afgewerkt met cacao, een krokant koekje van kers en een aan tafel erbij geserveerde lepel kaviaar. De bijzondere combinatie van ganzenlever en kaviaar is een gewaagde, maar goede keuze. Erbij een bijzonder glas zoete rode wijn van Juan Gil, heerlijk! Als extra gang kiezen wij voor de kazen. Maar liefst 16 verschillende kaasjes worden gepresenteerd op een groot bord. Erbij een vruchtenchutney en rozijnenbrood. Heerlijk! Net als de witte wijn van de Pedro Ximenez druif. We sluiten af met een dessert uit twee delen. In een bord een mooi opgebouwd taartje met framboos, aardbei, vanille en witte chocolade. Heerlijk! Als 2e onderdeel in een kommetje een frisse compote van aardbei met een schuim van witte chocolade. Top! Wederom is de gekozen wijn een goede combinatie en origineel. Een rose spatlase! De service is vanavond op hoog niveau. Uiterst correct, efficiënt en vriendelijk! Dit alles op een losse en niet te formele manier! Complimenten! Wij verlaten vandaag dan ook meer dan tevreden dit restaurant. De gerechten hebben een duidelijke eigen stijl. Het gebruik van groente en kruiden uit eigen tuin of de regio vormen de basis voor verfijnde, mooi opgemaakte, originele, maar bovenal smaakvolle gerechten. Het wijnarrangement is van hoog niveau en wordt royaal geschonken. Daarnaast is de service zoals gezegd uitstekend. De prijs van circa €225,- pp is dan ook geheel in lijn met de kwaliteit. Dit restaurant kent met 14,5 punt al een mooie notering in de Gault Millau gids, maar hier lijkt zeker nog verbetering op korte termijn in te zitten. Ook zou het ons niet verbazen als Michelin dit restaurant snel gaat belonen met een (groene) michelinster! De geboden kwaliteit verdient dit!

Top restaurant in the heart of Sittard. Be sure to ask for a table in the Gruizenkerkje. Although I am a great wine lover, I opt for the non-alcoholic arrangement here. They pay so much attention to this that it is a delicious addition to the menu.

Wow, how much we enjoyed ourselves here! This is no longer just a restaurant where you simply "go out to eat," but a real experience that is perfect down to the last detail. For my girlfriend's birthday, I reserved a spot here to try something new. From the beginning of the evening to the end, we were surprised and pampered. Without giving too much away, I want to say: the food is top-notch, carefully composed, and always creatively presented throughout all the creations. The menu shows which ingredients are truly fresh and either come from their own garden or are locally sourced (a concept we found amazing). The option for non-alcoholic pairings was incredibly surprising and original, and very well thought out—clearly a lot of effort was put into it. Finally, I want to say something about the staff. Without exception, everyone was cheerful, extremely helpful, friendly, and always nearby when you needed them. This was an outstanding experience for us, actually worthy of an 6 stars. Once we got home, my girlfriend immediately started planning our next visit.

Fantastic place, in an old little church. Beautiful decor, casual and super enthusiastic service. It was my birthday, and I received specially made chocolate and a handwritten card. Top dishes, top juices (non-alcoholic) pairing with the dishes. The menu card has flower seeds in it, so you can plant it. I said I wanted to plant it and they immediately gave me a stack of misprints, which I could also plant. Very nice restaurant!

Had the opportunity to visit this restaurant several times, this time sitting in the newly decorated church which is really great. Wonderful evening with beautiful dishes and delicious wines. Great social service that takes care of everything down to the last detail.

For a meal of 360 euros for two people, this restaurant made it very easy. Of the 14 appetizers and courses, the majority were uniformly cold. Although made from high-quality products, the taste of the dishes did not come into its own due to the evenly low temperature. A shame about the otherwise beautiful and original dishes. Clearly prepared in advance and kept in the refrigerator. The wines were good, but three different Riesling does not give a good impression of creativity. The only hot dish was chicken (Koekkoek) and the preparation of this dish did not require super cooking skills. A form of expensive assembly factory. In short, a costly disappointment.

Interesting place, partly former church or chapel. Stylish interior. But more important, impressive range of innovative culinary creations were served by most friendly and professional staff. Head waitress/ sommeliere was on top of being friendly and charming, impressive and refreshing in teaching, entertaining us with enthusiasm with her knowledge about the food and the drinks served. We very much enjoyed the evening.

Had a wonderful evening: on a Wednesday evening in January it was completely full (that's a good sign!) and we had a wonderful evening. Not only because of the delicious food and good wine and food combinations, but also because of the nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The special location - which makes the food taste even better - also contributes to this. Highly recommended!

In my opinion, Restaurant G7 is the culinary top of Sittard and the surrounding area. Yesterday we were guests here, for the first time after the restyling of the church. Guests are received at a long bar for an aperitif and the first of five amuses. We were then allowed to sit at a beautiful triangular table, which gave a beautiful view of the newly decorated interior, with flowing curtains creating a visual shield from the other tables. Here we continued with the other appetizers, with the highlight being the combo of beef, dashi and 63 degree egg yolk, served in a spiky bowl. The culinary journey continued with another 5 creations, consisting of 3 starters, a main course and a dessert. The wine arrangement with the flowery explanation made the evening complete. Hopefully Guide Michelin will visit here soon and honor G7 with a nice review.

Pleasant evening with former colleagues, excellent food and delicious wines. Lighting takes some getting used to, but it is being worked on.

Wow. This was truly 'heavenly' enjoyment, the flavours, the service, the experience... truly wonderful. We had such a good meal here!

Food was really delicious. Very special dishes and flavors. Staff were also very friendly and knew a lot about the food and wine. The only downside was that the water was refilled without asking and we ended up having to pay €22 for this. While it was tap water and soda stream water. If you pay that much money for food and wine, (tap) water should be included in my opinion. Shame. Everything else was great.

19052023 It had been over a year and a half since we were at G7, but we were immediately recognized upon entering. We received a very friendly welcome and were guided to our table. With a house aperitif and a glass of prosecco we had some time to look at the menu. As you may know, you cannot eat a la carte at G7, but you can choose from a 5 or 7 course menu, which can be expanded with a matching wine arrangement or non-alcoholic drinks. As the evening progressed, the delicious dishes and wines passed by and we were able to go home completely satisfied. Compliments to the kitchen brigade and all other employees! You gave us a very nice evening.

Beautiful location. Surprisingly spacious. An enthusiastic and friendly team. Good and nice explanation of the dishes. The dishes all look beautiful. And they taste fantastic. Modern presentation and surprising in a positive way are the flavors. I wonder when they will get a Michelin star 🌟. Highly recommended.

Last night we were (again, because we have been coming there for a number of years) in 7th heaven at G7 Food & Drinks in beautiful Sittard; They know how well they know how to pamper people, not only with perfect dishes and matching drinks, but through the entire experience! The service is very knowledgeable, friendly & takes the time for you, atmospheric music plays in the background and the lighting of the beautiful Gruuzekirkske (because part of the restaurant is in a former church) is perfect.

Already the third time here. A little more refined every time. Top cuisine where the service is certainly not inferior. Fine wine cellar with many pleasantly priced surprises! Nice experimental dishes

Normally, very sloppily, I never take the time for this. T always falls short. But we had such a surprisingly good meal that I would like to give it some nice compliments. Refined, beautiful structures, flavors, combinations......beautiful presentations, beautiful pottery and, above all, high in taste with very good wine choices. Wow. After the beautiful plans for renovation, we would like to drive south again to taste again. Top cuisine and great service with clear explanations. Cheers. And the price quality......? Surprising and tasty dishes, but in our experience unfortunately still some negatives. The service felt a bit student-like here and there and you noticed during the evening that the level of attention and professionalism depended very much on who was serving you at that moment. For example, we were asked if we would like a glass of bubbles as a welcome drink and a few minutes later the table next to us received a more detailed explanation, plus the question whether they wanted a glass of bubbles or possibly a homemade cocktail. The explanation of the dishes themselves also varied per table. Not a problem, but it does contribute to the entire experience. When placing the reservation, we were politely asked online about allergies and (dietary) wishes and it was stated in two places that we do not like special cheeses (particularly mold and goat cheeses). My partner then gets a cheese board with such cheeses as a vegetarian alternative. When indicating to the service, it was "Sorry, yes it can sometimes happen that the reservation comments are not passed on correctly". World disaster, no, but still sloppy. All in all, we look back on a lesser experience than it could have been.

This is where the magic happens. It seems as if this chef has invented new flavors. Everything else is correct. G7 is a must experience!

We ate here on our wedding day on August 11, 2022. What a party. The 5-course menu was of exceptional quality, the wine pairing matched each dish exactly, all in all a culinary tour de force. The service exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be surprised. In a word, amazing!!

In previous reviews people write about sofa without cushions, but they are now available. Anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal in Sittard, this is a must Small tip: music could be more present.

What a great gem in a place where you don't expect it at all. Special flavors in all dishes, beautiful plates in both shape and layout. An absolute must for every culinary enthusiast!

G7 is "by far" the best restaurant in Sittard. We opted for 7 courses including the wine arrangement. Every course is surprising and every dish is a bomb of flavors. The wines are very special and fit seamlessly with any dish. You can also request the wine here as a Bob package. Class operation. Just a fantastic night out!

Only discovered this evening (after 3 years). We haven't eaten this well in years. In my opinion, this restaurant is worth a Michelin star, many Michelin restaurants do not even offer a taste experience like G7. And this in the heart of Zitterd (Sittard). I really hope they survive this crisis and we can come back here often!!!

Delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere (in the church). You can see how much care the original dishes have been prepared with. The presentation of the dishes was also fantastic. Always curious about what was to come. Also have a cocktail when you start. It was nicely presented and was tasty too. A few points for improvement: -It took almost an hour before the amuse was served. That's a very long time if you go there with an appetite (like us). -The ladies like to sit at the back of the bench so they can oversee the whole thing. Unfortunately, there are no seat cushions... So after 4 hours of dining they felt it. (So ​​a few flat seat cushions on the benches would be nice. The cushions that were there now are not suitable for that). -I personally don't like it when a different waiter appears at the table every time. This was evident from the fact that we were served the same dish twice (while it was intended for a different table).
