Recently had a bite to eat here with a friend. Definitely made the right choice! Let us tell you that the business has just reopened with a new owner. The ambiance and decor were absolutely great!! In addition, the same owner also has a cocktail bar less than a 10-meter walk away, where we had a nice nightcap after dinner. Both definitely worth a visit if you are in Sittard!

New owner. Just opened and then putting this down is great. Delicious food. Good quality. Cozy atmosphere. Warm and casual. Friendly service. The owner himself also came for a chat. You feel welcome here. Matching beer with every dish, but also knowledge of wine for the wine drinker. Then had a drink with the sister/brother across the street: the bow tie. Super combination for a wonderful evening out. We enjoyed it! Will definitely come back.

The two of us enjoyed a delicious beef tenderloin/picanha and a unique dessert with marshmallows, ice cream, and chocolate sauce. Everything was excellent, and the service was friendly.

I've had takeout a few times now and eaten in once. The burgers are simply fantastic; I always wished my stomach was bigger so I could order a second one. The restaurant is run by a very enthusiastic and friendly owner, along with helpful staff. We'll definitely be back!

Best BBQ restaurant in the area

By far the best burgers around. Staff is excellent, the food is even better. Went there several times the last months and will go to this place more, and more! Immediately when you get to your table you get a bowl of special home made chips with a bbq sauce, for free, just as a starter. Then the best part of the visit is served, the meat! Whatever you choose, everything is fresh and deliciously prepared on the bbq. My favourite right now is Jack’s burger, but just to break tradition and because of the good reviews of Misha Charoudin I’ll have the spare ribs next time. Really worth the visit, go with an empty stomach. Making a reservation is advisable, as it’s full most of the time and yet you don’t have to wait long for your food.

On our tour to find tasty and cozy restaurants, this week it was De Aetzaak's turn, because if you are 5 minutes from a market full of tasty eateries, you should of course use it. Definitely worth repeating, delicious fresh food, the girls in the service very friendly and attentive, unfortunately no sweet cocktails for my taste on the menu, but with such tasty food you are also satisfied with a coke 😉 we had the double burger restaurant and tenderloin, deliciously grilled. Very relaxed, cozy warm atmosphere. Compliments for the kitchen! We will definitely come back here.

Had dinner at the Aetzaak for the first time tonight and left feeling completely satisfied! Wow! Had a delicious Mexican burger with a Mojito on the sidelines ;) And a delicious coffee with ice cream afterwards! Excellent service and an owner with a heart for the business, who comes to the table to ask if it tastes good. Where else do you come across that? An example for many! Awesome! Cheers! 💙

Went here for dinner last weekend with 12 people. Fantastic tent! Hostess and service super enthusiastic and attentive. The food was really fantastic, both the children and adults had a great meal. Unfortunately we don't live nearby otherwise we would be here every weekend

We were there on Saturday and had king prawns as a starter and then the platter for two people. What can I say it was perfect. Everything whether shrimp, ribs, steak or burger was perfect. Grilled vegetables and fries too. Of course I'm slightly offended because until Saturday I thought I could have a barbecue and I was proven wrong 😄 Thank you again, we'll definitely be back soon.

As soon as you walk in you can smell the charcoal grill and that is a good sign. The meat here is really grilled on the spot and you can taste it. Everything tasted delicious, no one at our table had the slightest complaint. The service is simply good and friendly. I would like to go here more often!

Well where should I start? I had seen pictures from a Facebook friend and they looked good. So this restaurant came on my to visit list. Upon entering we were led to our table. This had a perfect view of the open kitchen. After studying the menu (which took some time, it was very difficult for me to choose) our drinks were brought and choices were given. The starters (4 different ones for 4 people) were all top notch. What would the main courses be? Well, we were definitely not disappointed, damn great burgers and ribs with a perfect bite. Ribs were supposed to be fall of the bone, but luckily they weren't, there was still a great bite to them. I rarely order ribs in a restaurant because I almost always find them not to my taste, too dry, overcooked or completely tasteless. Well here I hit the jackpot in terms of ribs. I am a KCBS judge and at a competition these ribs scored 8 8 9. Then the burger (Jacks burger)… for me a big 10. Top sandwich, top cooking and taste of the meat and a great combination of toppings. Highly recommended and not for the last time. Very friendly service and a chef who knows what he is doing.

Delicious food! Price/quality top. The 'vleisjplank' is recommended. Making a choice between all these goodies is very difficult. All meat was cooked perfectly. Especially with the spareribs, we noticed that we were dealing with a grillmeister: perfectly cooked and therefore not overcooked that all the meat immediately falls off the bone (as it should be in my opinion). Staff very friendly and a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely come back here!

Very good eatery on the market in Sittard. Everything home made with surprising dishes. The spareribs are great and the best in the Sittard area.

Yesterday we had a delicious meal again at the Aetzaak. I'm done: The bourbon rubkes from the Aetzaak are the tastiest in all of Zitterd. The desserts (made by Hans) were also great. Always a pleasant stay here. Top service.

A cozy place with clearly staff who put a lot of love into it. The service is always friendly, you receive a warm welcome and the meat is really delicious. Enough choice of many dishes, I have now tasted several and nothing has disappointed yet. Price/quality ratio is more than fine. I really like coming here!

The only downsides are that the work pace sometimes slows down due to the fun and personally I think the price is a bit on the high side for the quantity. However, the quality of the products is top notch. Highly recommended. We also made the effort for nice Father's Day and birthday surprises.

A "Business" with a passion for good meat - they clearly enjoy working here every evening - there was some laughter with the service at the table. The pitmaster also knows what he is doing - our Mediterranean plank was neatly grilled to our wishes. And if you can get my brother to eat a medium t-bone steak with taste, you clearly have an edge over the rest. And how nice was it that the corner where we sat was decorated for my mother's birthday? A nice candle with dessert and a bottle of house bubbles! 🥰 Certainly not cheap; but the price-quality-quantity ratio is practically perfect in my opinion. A fun night out guaranteed.
