Great atmosphere, very polite service. Food was served quickly and at the right (hot) temperature. The spare ribs were incredibly tender. Really good fries. In short, highly recommended!

We kwamen aan en wilden een drankje nemen en wat eten. Voor avondeten konden we helaas niet terecht alleen een borrelhapje was nog een optie. Het was overigens totaal niet druk en het was 17:00. Nadat we een van de obers vroegen of we geholpen konden worden, werd ons verteld dat er iemand aan kwam om onze bestelling op te nemen. We bestelden een biertje en vroegen om de borrelkaart, die we ook pas na een tijd kregen. Toen we ons biertje op hadden en ze ons vroegen wat we wilden bestellen hebben we dit maar afgeslagen en zijn we weggegaan. Het duurde allemaal vreselijk lang

I recently dined at Gasterij De Patron, and while the location is beautiful for outdoor dining in nice weather and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food was a huge disappointment. The starter, a carpaccio, was completely overloaded with salt and topped with an overly sweet balsamic vinegar, a completely illogical combination. The meat itself had zero flavor. The main course was even more disappointing: the meat was so tough it was barely cut, and the vegetables were completely flavorless and watery, even though they clearly requested medium-cooked. They clearly put a lot of effort into the appearance and service, but unfortunately, the kitchen is making some serious mistakes. It's a real shame, because with such a beautiful location and such a friendly team, this could be a top restaurant if the food even came close to expectations. They offered a 50% discount on the main courses, which is reasonable. But honestly, it would be good business practice if they had completely taken the sabbatical and removed the dishes entirely from the bill, given the kitchen's repeated blunders. It's a shame, because with this location and friendly staff, it definitely has potential, but unless the kitchen is thoroughly overhauled, this is unfortunately not a place I'll be returning to.

Had a lovely lunch under the tree with 8 family members

Ate with several people. However, I do have a few things to complain about. I was able to order a soft drink from 18:00. With a starter, main course and dessert. The drink was of course already gone in the starter. Because the carpaccio was stuck to the plate, lukewarm and not special. The pork tenderloin was as dry as can be. The dessert, a sorbet patron that is described as 3 scoops of sorbet ice cream with fruit and whipped cream, also missed the mark. A pistachio ball, a vanilla ball and 1 sorbet mango ball. With 1 strawberry, 1 raspberry, and a sprig of red currants. Not for me again soon.

We had lunch and dinner here during our stay in Twello, the dinner was delicious, good and alert staff, the weather was beautiful during our visit so we had lunch and dinner on the beautiful and spacious terrace, the interior also looks beautiful and tastefully decorated, for lovers of rose: 11 minutes Pasque, in the shop around 14-15 euros and here on the terrace for 28, -,

A few weeks ago we ordered a brunch buffet for 14 people on June 13 at 12 o'clock. Upon arrival, the tables still had to be arranged and placed. We started with soup, for which we had to ask for napkins. Then the sandwiches and toppings were put on the table. We also had to ask if plates and cutlery could be arranged. After 1.5 hours and enough food, the agreed sandwiches and croquette were served. A number of guests did not need that anymore and a few only took the croquette. All in all, we got the feeling that no attention was paid to us. When ordering, it was stated that everything would include juice, coffee and tea. However, coffee, tea and juice were charged extra on the bill. We left disappointed and said so. After we left, we contacted the manager to discuss the matter. He admitted that it should not have happened that way and is learning from this. We think that the complaint has been properly recorded and handled by "the Patron". Compliments for this!!!

You can sit outside here nicely. Staff is nice. Food also came quickly after we ordered it. Just didn't find it really special, a bit boring even. Had a super tosti.

The food was delicious, nothing to complain about! However, when we ordered a salad with our main courses, we did not get it served. It can happen of course! When we asked for it, they said that there was nothing in the system. Then we still did not get anything. When the young lady was not far enough, she said that we were whiny customers. Then we got served 2 completely different cocktails than the ones we got in the first round from a wine glass, while we did order the same ones. As icing on the cake, we were asked if everything was to our liking. To this we replied: 'no, not everything was to our liking.' He did not look surprised and did not ask as he should why it was not to our liking. We then asked why he asked if it did not matter to him. Otherwise you would not ask, we thought. To this he said with a look as if he wanted to fight at any moment 'no' Thus a mediocre evening, the food was delicious, but the service was really a mess. Not recommended

Hoe stop je je restaurant ? Gewoon door je vaste klanten weg te sturen. Ongeïnteresseerd zijn bij binnenkomst. Vragen of je gereserveerd hebt in een kompleet leeg restaurant. Vervolgens Iets mompelen over een tafel die los staat .. vervolgens je wegsturen omdat je hondje niet op de bank op een eigen dekentje mag, terwijl je dat de keer ervoor wel gewoon mocht … Jammer joh .. ons ben je kwijt ..

I did my engagement here, really recommended with nice weather the terrace is great! The food was delicious and service I certainly can't complain about. They can handle huge crowds.

We celebrated our engagement here for about 100/120 people. It was, in a word, amazing. Very well organised, the cuisine is also delicious, extensive and diverse. Very good communication. I wanted to decorate the restaurant myself and this was all possible. I am very happy that Gasterij de Patron has made this possible. The employees were friendly and fast despite the crowds. Everything was handled well. There was also a playground for the children, which was very nice. Thank you very much for the fantastic service. We will come again soon!

Very nice guesthouse. Looks nice on the inside, nice terrace too. Just had coffee and a cake. Apple pie was substandard. Just out of the freezer without any taste and rock hard.

Wat is dit jammer van zo'n mooi restaurant. Het eten viel erg tegen. Carpassio was zo dun en weinig dat het met een paar happen op was de salade fruit de Mer leek wel vissoep de vis moest je trouwens zoeken zo klein. En helaas was de Tournesdos met blauwkaas ook een tegenvaller gewoon een paar brokken kaas er omheen. Jammer wij gaan er niet meer heen.

We zijn hier geweest voor het kerstdiner. Helaas was het eten vrij smakeloos. Het hoofdgerecht was hert, en deze smaakte naar lever. Wat een teken is van slecht bewaren of te ver doorbakken. Dit laatste was zeker niet het geval

Het is een mooi en gezellig restaurant maar wel iets te koud, de 1e X dat wij er waren dachten we dat het aan de deur lag waar we vlakbij zaten maar helaas vanavond hadden wij het ook weer te koud. De hertenbiefstuk smaakte naar lever en die mening deelden we met degenen die ook dit hoofdgerecht hadden besteld. De koude gerechten werden allemaal net iets te koud geserveerd en het ijs van het nagerecht was een keer opnieuw ingevroren, er zaten ijskristallen in en de andere gerechten op het bord waren helaas ook weer te koud. Erg jammer van de smaak want die komt veel beter tot z’n recht als het iets minder koud is. Groente werd er helaas niet bij geserveerd of het moet de rodekoolsalade zijn geweest die je bij elk gerecht tegenkwam. Dit kerstmenu was de €72,00 echt niet waard. Met de vaste menukaart hebben wij wel goede ervaring!

Too bad, too bad. Don't be quick to write a review, but this one really wasn't possible. Just have a snack, cold wild boar stew, lukewarm plate of garnish, entrecote which was not entrecote. The only positive thing was the fries, which were tasty and warm. Unfortunately, these were quite expensive at just over €50, since in terms of compensation the drinks could have been taken off the bill... you should have allowed a little more time for preparation.

Beautiful thing! Had a delicious meal with 10 people. Because we were celebrating our registered partnership, we received a glass of bubbly on the house! The dishes were tasty, beautifully presented, good portions and the main courses were beautiful vegetable and potato garnishes on the plate. Definitely recommended!

Restaurant ziet er mooi uit maar het was er wel behoorlijk fris. Bediening was erg aardig. Terwijl we allemaal al een drankje hadden moesten we erg lang wachten tot de laatste zijn kop thee had. Als vooraf de tomatensoep. Die was heerlijk. Daarna de hoofdgerechten. de varkenshaas was gewoon nog rauw van binnen en ook niet erg warm. Champignonsaus was erg rood van kleur en behoorlijk pittig. Tournedos viel tegen. Zalm en saté waren oké. Nagerecht was lekker maar moesten erg lang wachten totdat de laatste persoon zijn nagerecht had terwijl de rest die al wel had. Geen aanrader dus.

Gezellig restaurant die er van binnen super leuk uitziet. Lieve obers. Het eten voor de lunch was goed geprijsd en erg lekker.

Had a small lunch on the terrace. Probably due to a shortage of staff, it was only after 15 minutes that someone came to ask if we wanted to use something. Things already went wrong with the drinks and then a long wait for the menu. The soup tasted good but was not really warm and the thick, tasteless, crunchy slices of white bread with ham and croquettes were unbearable. No, no recommendation to come back to.

Very long waiting times. Friendly staff. But ordered extra fries and mayonnaise but were not delivered. And think it's a nice price for the quantity you get. But the food was delicious.

Very mediocre, substandard! We regularly eat out and wanted to try Gasterij de Patron again (honestly: other times a - slightly - better experience) It was not very busy in the restaurant, no friendly welcome but 3 "hanging" waiters at the bar, no interaction (received based on guests) Service at the table was fast and efficient. Bread board good, shame about those cardboard containers for the sauces. Soup of the month beef broth: far too salty (neatly passed on) Wine: no large glasses and yet the contents very sparse, a small base (poor) Tournedos ordered as medium came almost as raw, no waiter in sight. After a while this was brought up and an apology was made. Fries, unfortunately like many restaurants: old fat and way too hard, too bad. Tenderloin tips were fine. What struck me is that some of the crockery is made of plastic, which is a shame. Salmon: lukewarm and no taste. Trout pancetta, this was really not possible, way too much lukewarm bacon, cold sauce, trout itself was okay (also pass it on nicely) No attention from staff in between, which is a shame. Didn't order dessert, didn't feel like it anymore. Requested an invoice and when leaving the building, again no contact with staff. Unfortunately, when we returned home, half of the family suffered from stomach problems... No apology for Gasterij de Patron for the time being.

Duurde erg lang voordat we iets konden bestellen. Tafel was vies, lag allemaal zand op. Hier werden onze borden zo opgezet. Geen servetje gekregen dus maar weer om gevraagd. Eten was gelukkig wel lekker, maar wij gaan hier niet meer naar toe.

Even wat drinken, 16.30 Terras alle tafels gereserveerd, nog geen 1/5 bezet, we mochten bij 30gr plaats nemen half zon.

We arrived around 4:30 PM to have a drink during our bike ride. The terrace was not yet a fifth full, all tables were reserved. When asked where we could sit, it was 30 degrees. half in the sun. Rarely received so poorly in the catering industry. If you are not welcome, as happened, then you continue cycling.

Had a delicious meal here twice. It can sometimes be noisy inside when there are large groups. In summer you can also sit outside at the small playground.

What a beautiful restaurant with several oval and round tables for larger groups. Everything very tastefully decorated. The toilet room is beautiful, but that's besides the point. Food was good and even a bit on the large side for us. But we enjoyed it. Staff is smooth and friendly.

All 5 stars We had a wonderful evening for two. The ambience is great, the service is super friendly and the food is delicious. Tip 1: Request the separate cocktail menu right at the beginning 😉 Tip 2: as a small snack, bread with aioli dip 😋 The salad with goat cheese and the rump steak were both very good. 👍

Nice meal! Sandwich as an appetizer and as a main course we had the pork tenderloin with curry sauce and the burger. Both very tasty. Desserts: chocolate cake and Tartufo Pistacchio. The tartufo was very tasty. The chocolate cake less so, it almost didn't taste like chocolate.. But other than that it was all good. Decor was very stylish and the people were friendly!

What an attractive restaurant! Also for just a drinks event with friends/family. I was pleasantly surprised. My uncle had his birthday there so half reserved. Everything was well organized and very enjoyable!

We came in and asked if we could have lunch to which the answer was yes. All fine. However, we were then ignored by the staff for 10 minutes. They looked straight at us but didn't pass by. They didn't even come over for drinks. And all this while they were doing nothing. Pity.

Met kerstavond een kerstdiner gegeten. Was lekker, grote porties en fijne service.

Bediening traag,wel erg vriendelijk, in 4 uur tijd 2 drankjes gehad, om 18 uur aan tafel, om 19:15 werd de menukaart uitgedeeld. We hebben lekker gegeten dankzij de gastheer die heeft ons uitgenodigd en menu samen heeft gesteld. Prachtige zaak. Lekker ontspannen sfeer.

Lekker in het zonnetje op het terras biertje gedronken. Broodje kroket was lekker. Daar hoort eigenlijk een stoere grove mosterd bij.

Leuke plek. Goed bereikbaar met auto en voldoende parkeerplekken. Vriendelijk personeel. Ik heb alleen thee gedronken, dus eten kan ik niet beoordelen.

Lekker gegeten bij De Patron, aardige mensen en ook water voor de hond gekregen. Buiten op het terras gezeten, daar is het wel wat donker. Het eten zag er verzorgd en aantrekkelijk uit.

Geluncht bij De Patron, wat opviel bij binnenkomst is dat twee personen van de bediening ons wel zien staan maar niet aanspreken. Ik heb gevraagd of wij kunnen lunchen en na een bevestiging verder geen actie vanuit personeel. Geen welkom of goedendag.....dan sta je er wat verloren bij. Uiteindelijk toch maar geen zitten en aan tafel komt ons het zelfde personeelslid de drankenkaart brengen terwijl wij net daarvoor hadden aangegeven te komen lunchen dus waarom ook niet direct de lunchkaart meegenomen. Ook aan tafel geen welkom of goedendag.... Misschien moet hier wat aandacht aan geschonken worden door de uitbater. Het eten was heerlijk en snel op tafel, toch nog een pluspunt voor deze zaak.

As soon as we arrived, the guy at the entrance received us with a nice smile and offered us to translate the menu. Very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. I didn't expect that from a restaurant in a little town. We ordered the Hamburger, it was very big, and good but, for the price, not as tasty as it was looking. For our taste, the patties were missing that something that makes them yummylicious. I'm not sure if the fries were included or not but they were super tasty. They offer you bread, but they don't tell you that it would cost. This is tricky because in many restaurants it is courtesy.The waiting time was long even when it wasn't full on a friday evening. It's okay for a short weekend around the town.
