We had a hamburger this time. We were a bit disappointed. A little sauce with some fried onions, a burger patty, and a corn bun. And some fries. With one of the more expensive dishes, you expect something extra or special. We won't be ordering this again. The salmon is so much better!

A good restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a spacious terrace. You can even have a (private) lunch or dinner in a large wine barrel. A truly enjoyable experience.

It's cozy, the service is great, and it's in a lovely location. Right next to the open-air museum. We enjoyed a delicious home-brewed pilsner with a salad. And we tasted the unique beer bread. Highly recommended. The bread and the hospitality.

De lunch was super goed verzorgd, lekker en precies op tijd. De bediening was ontzettend attend, ik verslikte me en ze kwamen in no time met een glas water. De prijzen absoluut normaal en de sfeer is ondanks de drukte lekker rustig. Dus complimenten van een collega kok.

Beautiful ambiance, beautiful location. Super friendly service. A bowl of water was immediately arranged for the dog. Beers from the adjacent brewery are of course available!

A great location to make your wedding an unforgettable day. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and nothing was too much to ask. We had very pleasant contact with Esmeralda and Manfred about our wishes and the organization on the day itself. The location offers several places to hold your ceremony, drinks and dinner and the hall of the evening party is also really beautiful. There were also extensive possibilities in the field of catering and we experienced it as if everything we wanted was possible. Even at short notice we were able to change wishes. For us an unforgettable day with very special hospitality. As we like to know it in Twente. Guests still talk about the waiter who knew everyone's drink wishes by heart and no one was short of anything. Manfred and Esmeralda were personally present the entire day to ensure that everything went smoothly.

On a sunny afternoon we sat on the terrace. What a nice atmosphere! We had reserved for the so-called "food tower". Very nice concept. And very tasty and varied. The service was very friendly and hospitable. Definitely worth repeating!

Actually, I couldn't have eaten here, because Apple Maps gives the wrong location, a difference of about 300 meters. Google was aware. Anyway, it was going to be busy and I (as a guest alone) got a spot ABOVE the tap with a view of the spacious and very cozy restaurant with two enormous copper kettles for the beer brewery. Outside everything full. The lady behind the tap (below me) paid full attention to me, despite her busy work. Lots of staff, uniform in black with a silver belt, busy busy busy. Boss was busy too! Food arrived quickly, a skewer of pork tenderloin with peanut sauce, salad and fries in a bag (?) with mayo. A bit messy, but very tasty. Tender meat, good salad, tasty fries! It's all about the food, right!? Kudos to the service! Those ladies deserve a raise, the lady behind the tap thought contact with customers was more important to do her job well - and with pleasure. Look, that's how it should be! Go eat there, but check carefully where it is exactly! Apple do something about it!

Nice restaurant around a beer kettle. Beautiful location just outside the village with a museum and brewery on site. I thought the pork/beef skewer was too dry. The local beer is delicious. All in all a bit too expensive for the quality of the food.

What a great business! Delicious beers from our own brewery, that's where it all starts. Very nice owner with beautiful shoes! Everything very well taken care of and delicious food. And...important to us: they have a real gluten-free menu. And they understand that too and that is very nice. Nicely decorated with those boilers and the gallery in the shop. Parking is also well organized on a large site. In Ootmarsum we know where to go. Thank you.

Local breweries always have my attention. Usually excellent beer. There was supposed to be a local brewery in Ootmarsum, and what was my surprise: there is a completely new-looking complex with a restaurant, a real city brewery, inn and open-air museum. The 'gasterij' is located in an authentic medieval town in Twente, with great tourist appeal due to a nostalgic center and a rolling, wooded landscape. An excellent business model. The restaurant has a Burgundian foundation. And that's exactly what I like! We had a nice lunch here with the seasonal specialty: corn roll with fried steak tips, stewed in mushrooms and onions. It was delicious, but together with the local specialty beer. I had chosen a dunkelweizen, a great combination.

The veal tenderloin is easy to suck and provides a delicious taste experience. We were here on a Sunday evening and luckily made a reservation. Met een grotere groep hier gegeten. Gezellig aan een ronde tafel gezeten. FDe kaart is erg uitgebreid met voor iedereen volop keus. Wij hebben allemaal erg lekker gegeten. Voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht. Allemaal even lekker. Ook de bediening was prima. Vlot en gezellig. Kan dit restaurant iedereen aanbevelen.

The food is excellent. There is something on the menu for everyone. Local beer on tap, the barrels are even in the restaurant.

Wat een slecht restaurant is dit. In de middag een drankje gedaan waar ze elke 3 minuten vragen of alles naar wens is. Hadden ook gereserveerd voor de avond, wel zo handig als je in het hotel ernaast verblijft. Van ons gezelschap hadden 3 mensen een schnitzel besteld. Wat was dit slecht, een hele dikke droge koek paneermeel eromheen geperst en een heel dun reepje smaakloos vlees ertussen. Je krijgt de patat in een zak erbij. De patat was droog en hard. Wij zijn geen klagers en soms kan iets minder bevallen, dat is prima. Maar dit was ronduit slecht! Gemeld bij het meisje en zij ging het doorgeven. Er kwam een 2e dame, die zei meld dit voortaan eerder, Wij zeiden nou ja waren een beetje beduusd van de slechte kwaliteit maar er ligt overal nog genoeg vlees over. Ze nam het mee. Er kwam een 3e dame, wat een vreselijke vrouw. Zij beweerde dat het verse schnitzels waren, wat natuurlijk als zo een samengeperste plak vlees niet kan. En zij zei nog dit komt omdat het kalfsschnitzels waren. Vreemd als er op de kaart varkensschnitzel staat. En als toppunt zei mevrouw de smaakverschillen zit hem in dat jullie uit het westen van het land komen. Dit is ronduit onbeschoft en asociaal om dit zo te doen! En bovendien werd ons akkefietje openlijk met iedereen besproken. Ze heeft de schnitzel menu’s gecorrigeerd op de rekening maar haar grove asociale onbeschofte boze houding en haar leugens maken dit zeker niet goed. Als je in het hotel verblijft, eet dan zeker niet hier.

What a bad restaurant this is. Had a drink in the afternoon where they asked every 3 minutes if everything was okay. We also made a reservation for the evening, which is handy if you are staying in the hotel next door. 3 people in our party ordered a schnitzel. How bad this was, a very thick dry cake of breadcrumbs pressed around it and a very thin strip of tasteless meat in between. You get the fries in a bag. The fries were dry and hard. We are not complainers and sometimes you may not like something, that's fine. But this was downright bad. Reported it to the girl and she passed it on. A second lady came and said please report this earlier from now on. We said well, we were a bit taken aback by the poor quality, but there is still plenty of meat left everywhere. She took it with her. A 3rd lady came, what a terrible woman, she claimed that they were fresh schnitzels, which can never be such a compressed slab. And she said it was because they are veal cutlets. Strange that the menu actually says pork schnitzel. And to top it off, madam said, the differences in taste are because you come from the west of the country. It's downright rude to do it this way. And what's more, our little affair was discussed openly with everyone. She corrected the schnitzel menus on the bill but her rude rude angry attitude and her lies certainly did not make up for this. If you stay at the hotel, definitely don't eat here.

I threw a party on October 20 because I turned 60. I had arranged a hot/cold buffet with an ice cream buffet afterwards. It was completely finished. The atmosphere, service and food: it was great. It was also great that Manfred (the owner) thought along with us. I only received positive reactions from everyone. Highly recommended.

Just wow. It was our wedding anniversary, we were there spontaneously and got a place even though everything was full less than 30 minutes later. Drinks were great, the Rauch beer is recommended. As a starter we had beef tartare and mushrooms in beer batter, both exceptionally tasty. Main courses were spare ribs and burgers, both incredibly tasty down to the smallest detail, even the half plum (presumably tossed in the pan with cinnamon) that was on the plate as a garnish. All in all a top restaurant with top service and food. High prices but also large portions. Complaining at a high level: the room volume is a bit high and the sauce on the spare ribs could be more.

If you really want to have a nice dinner or lunch somewhere, then you should definitely do it here. As a real food reviewer I can really recommend the Gasterij. The food is really of very high quality and deserves a Michelin recommendation. Price quality is excellent. Delicious beers matched to the food are served from the adjacent beer brewery in collaboration. My compliments for the food, the atmosphere and the service.

Let's start with the environment which is very beautiful. It's mostly for beer lovers than for food which isn't bad but isn't who knows who either (pretty poor dishes). Staff a little lost but otherwise nice place.

What a beautiful and quiet location and also beautifully situated. Enjoyed a delicious hot cappuccino and a delicious apple pie with real whipped cream. Compliments. Beautiful terrace with tent canvas roof and very attractive and cozy on the inside. Also a great location to get married. Spacious and sufficient parking in the immediate vicinity within walking distance. Worth eating here, having lunch or something to drink.

Service desert hostile to tourists: 1st evening: at 8:05 p.m. famished after a long road trip: sorry, kitchen already closed. Not even peanuts or a cheese sandwich when it's open until 10 p.m 2nd evening: short visit in the afternoon with drinks to make reservations for the evening: answer outside, we don't take reservations only inside - come before 7:30 p.m. then no problem! No sooner said than done - present on time: Question of the annoyed condition: have you reserved? We - no - it's not possible outside! Ok - the kitchen is no longer taking orders! Many tables were unoccupied! We leave the Gasterij in disbelief - you shouldn't visit Ootmarsum hungry after 7:30 p.m. - you'll only get a second-rate pizza at best - after an odyssey of research!

We are so happy with the choice of this location for our wedding! With all the beautiful places you can go in many directions, but due to the abnormally heavy rain, a lot of gearing still had to be done, which happened flawlessly. We celebrated our wedding at Gasterij Oatmössche last Friday and it was absolutely fantastic! In the run-up to the wedding, accessible contact was possible and we were well thought of. You notice that Manfred and Esmeralda have a lot of experience in organizing parties and on the day itself we were pampered. The food was delicious and all allergies/dietary requirements were taken into account. We had a great day!

Mooie locatie net buiten het centrum van Ootmarsum. Wj hadden een plek op de bar vanwaar je een mooi zicht heb op de koperen ketels en het restaurant. Eten was heel goed. Beding was zeer goed, alert en vlot. Minpuntje, het restaurant zat helemaal vol waardoor er erg veel herrie was. Verder een aanrader.

In principle, a nice concept, this restaurant at a brewery. Service is friendly, but we thought it was a bit poor and the price-quality ratio was not OK. Started with a glass of non-alcoholic Hugo served in a wine glass that did not exceed the amount of a glass of wine for 5.50. The tasting was two pieces of baguette, a small croquette, a block of salmon, a small soup (ready-made?), a frozen shrimp and one and a half mushrooms for 15 euros per person. Further menu not very creative and standard cafe dishes.
