Gebak in Centrum

I ordered a birthday cake here. What a delicious cake that was. The pastry cream alone was delightful! Unfortunately, I live too far from this bakery, but I had to go to Eindhoven Airport, so I ordered the cake there as well. It was more than worth the effort! Unfortunately, there are no tasty bakeries to be found near us. I was also helped in a friendly manner by an employee in the shop. Excellent quality and service!

Today, on such a cool day, I stopped by for a coffee and was very happy I did ☕️🤍 Thank you for the cozy atmosphere and for the chance to sit comfortably, warm up with a cup of rich, aromatic cappuccino, and enjoy a delicious slice of apple pie 🍎🥧 It was such a small but lovely pleasure in the middle of an ordinary day. Thank you for your hospitality! I’ll definitely come back again ❤️

Wednesday morning, I ordered three large cream cakes with the message "Grandpa Jan's 90th Birthday." And I paid. Then my niece went to pick it up, and unfortunately, no cake! It was delicious, so Grandpa didn't get any cake for his 90th birthday. Now I have to find cakes for 30 people. So, no more De Vocht bakery for us! Dirk de Vocht has since contacted us, and Grandpa will still get the cream cake for his 90th birthday. We are so happy with how this was resolved. Thank you so much, Dirk de Vocht!

So, this is a croissant from "De echte bakker" that I encountered like this multiple times and I politely sent an email (with a photo) pointing out that something isn't quite right. Just like the fact that hard rolls are often sold out by 10:30 in the morning. Although they state online that they welcome feedback, you get absolutely no response. A missed opportunity... Overall quite satisfied, although it is a factory bakery and you'd be better off not buying small pastries, chocolate, or apple turnovers there... Unfortunately, some products simply don't offer the right price/quality ratio.
