I ate a lot of souvlaki outside of the Greece, that one is the best. Mr Vasilis is a typical friendly and good heart Greek person. I recommend to try the Mastiqua Greek lemonade with sparkling mastiha water, personally I love it. You can pay only with cash here.

Tasty pita with gyros for €8.30. Well-grilled meat (crispy yet juicy), a generous dollop of tzatziki and some fresh herbs and onion. Don't be too difficult here. I asked: do you put fries in the pita gyros? "No, but if you want to." Nice answer. I would have appreciated a spicy sauce. It is spicy, but not spicy at all. Cash only here.

The salty, crispy crust of the tender meat was perfectly balanced with the sweet and sour, creamy, yet fresh tzatziki sauce. Add to that a light, soft pita bread and you have one of those that you rarely come across. If you get the chance to have this experience, don't hesitate.

What can I say? We've been coming here for years and it's still the best pita giros we've had.

After years, back to Nijmegen Center. Nijmegen remains fantastic on Saturday. The market, bars and the food. That's how I remembered a Giros restaurant in Nijmegen Center. I had to eat there again if it still existed. When I get there, who is there? The owner. Just as I remembered him with a smile on his face. I ordered a Giros dish, it was so tasty again. Good meat, tasty cabbage salad, perfect fries, perfect rice or a perfect meal. Really people seek this restaurant out. Truly a restaurant that you quickly pass by. But don't do that. I don't often get excited about a restaurant or a place to eat, but this is, in a word, perfect. Try it.

This would be the place to be for the best gyros in Nijmegen, with options for vegetarians. Unfortunately. After ordering the vegetarian pita, it turned out to be the same pita as the one with meat, but… without. 😑 No meat substitute, while in 2023 you can easily make vegetarian or even vegan gyros. Such a pity! Hopefully there will be a worthy vegetarian variant in the future.

All the tastiest giros in the Netherlands

I wanted to have a bite to eat there with my family this afternoon, when I stepped inside I saw that the owner was just licking the tzatziki. I have no idea if he was going to use it again (unwashed), but I immediately turned around and went to eat elsewhere. Bah! You don't do something like that in view of the guests.

It is not possible to pay by card during the four-day festivities. When it was our turn after waiting 15 minutes, this only became clear as this was NOT indicated ANYWHERE. Our question whether we could withdraw the money from the ATM around the corner to pay for the order upon collection was answered with a resounding NO. What???

Food tastes good and the price is very reasonable for the amount of food. The place is a Snack Bar, so keep that in mind if you want to come here with others. This is the 2nd place that sells Greek food that I've visited and it tastes leagues ahead of the first one. (which was Jack). I've never had authentic Greek food, so I don't know how close it came to real Greek, but I found the taste satisfying. I have to take 1 star off, because this place accept cash ONLY.

We had to wait for over 30 minutes for them to realize that they didn't have the ingredients to prepare our food. Later on they told us to just order something else which also took over 20 minutes to prepare. Unless you have 1 hour to waste I don't recommend this place.

Really great, solid pita gyros, not (much) inferior to those from Greek soil itself. You won't find such a decent meal anywhere else for seven and a half euros, and a healthy one too.

Picked up a gyros sandwich here on April 23, 2020. Meat had clearly been reheated several times, unfortunately black pieces were also found in it. After I spoke to the owner about it, I was told that it was just the same as always and was fresh. No compensation was offered and I will never come here again. I definitely advise people against this.
