Lume! in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

It was lovely to sit on the terrace. There's a nice selection of tapas. The mushroom croquette is especially delicious, truly delightful ❤️❤️. They also have some lovely wines. We didn't try the paella; that's for another time.

First and foremost; the food was absolutely amazing! We had some tapas and shared the signature black paella. Its a must try for every foodie out there. The vibe and service really match the food... just go and try, you will not regret it!

Went to have diner with my partner and this is such a cute spot! The food is amazing, the staff was super nice and the wine was delicious. Definitely will be comming back :). Our favorites were patatas bravioli and carrillera iberica.

Everything was delicious. I loved the chorizo in fire ;) Paella with meat also great. Sadly the table was too small for all of the plates we ordered but we understand that the place it’s not that big.

By chance I came across Lume!, what a gem! As a Dutch person with Galician roots I of course had to join and try some things. The pulpo, gambas al ajillo and tortilla were delicious.. the sangria is highly recommended! I will definitely come back!

Today we came here for the first time. We enjoyed delicious tapas, perfectly presented on a wooden board. The service was fun, enthusiastic and created a nice atmosphere. It is a cozy place to enjoy an evening out together. Reservations are recommended as it is clearly popular — and rightly so!

What a very nice place! The staff is super friendly and even though it is busy, they really take the time for you. All the tapas were always delicious beyond expectations. We had a wonderful evening where it really felt like we were in Spain.

Made a reservation, and the staff reserved two tables for us - one table inside, one outside so we can choose based on the weather, which was a very thoughtful touch, especially for unpredictable spring weather. Staff were super smiley and polite <3! Portions were a little small, but for drinks and tapas a lovely place. Me and the girlies approveeeee

Service is fantastic, the food varies. The tapas was very tasty, paella has plenty of seafood but the rice could have been a little longer. The sangria is highly recommended!

What a gem! We stayed in the hotel above the restaurant and thought everything looked so delicious. We ate here yesterday and we were very happy with it. Owner is very friendly and the boy who serves does it with passion and pleasure. Tapas are delicious and the signature dish paella with squid and scallops is fantastic! Beautifully flavored and filled with tender fish. Recommended! It's not cheap, but it's value for money!

We were a group of three, and we ordered several dishes, including a paella. When we checked out, they charged us for two paellas instead of one, saying it was because we shared the dish. I understand that, but we were never informed about this charge.

Cozy Spanish tapas restaurant with authentic dishes.

Went for dinner again on November 9. The food itself was tasty, but the kitchen could not handle the crowds at all. After 1.5 hours we had 2 very got simple tapas. Furthermore, I only ordered dessert. Furthermore, the wine is far too expensive, €37 for the second cheapest bottle. Also in terms of price and quality I cannot recommend the food. Too bad the menu and drinks price list are not on the website.

We ate a few of the tapas dishes and they were delicious. The service was very good, we got recommendations and some nice conversation. Definitely recommend Lume!

The food was amazing! Loved every dish and also really enjoyed the service, it was top notch and everyone was really kind and helpful. Their paella is suburb and would definitely recommend. Its a very cozy place but maybe could do a bit more on the spanish interior to make it even more cozy/intimate. Will definitely be back :)

A real Spanish restaurant with northern Spanish specialties. They squeeze out excellent quality for the super small kitchen. I haven't found a favorite wine yet, but next time I'll try some others. Friendly service that works well with the bar and kitchen.

Very good service and tasty tapas. The tapas were very salty. The prawns were also slightly undercooked for my mother. The rest of the flavors are delicious!

We were quite disappointed by our dinner at Lume. I think they were too busy because it all took very long. Our drinks were served 30 minutes after we arrived. The food took maybe 1 hour to follow. The croquetas and pimento del Padron were excellent, but they were overpriced for the quantity. The paella’s rice was sadly undercooked. The recipe itself was good but again it's overpriced. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins. We didn't order a dessert because we knew it would have taken too long to be served. Our waiter was friendly though but the general vibe felt very tense.

Everything is great here. Ordered 3 tapas and 1 paella for 2 people. Everything was simply excellent! If 4 random dishes are this good then I can only give 5 stars. The Tarte de Santiago na was also very successful, as was the Sangria. Nice wine list, nice beer list, highly recommended!!!

Delicious food in a pleasant Spanish atmosphere. Very friendly staff and the food was fine. But I was a bit shocked when paying. You have to pay quite a lot for fairly simple tapas with small portions (usual for Spanish tapes). This is partly because drinks are quite pricey everywhere these days. I think the price per person I indicated includes about 25 euros in drinks (a total of bottle of Rioja, 1 whiskey and 1 coffee). But yes, in the pub we went to later we also had to pay 6 euros for an average special beer. @horecanijmegen: I think the stretch has gone a bit.

The two of us had a delicious meal here yesterday. We had 3 tapas and 1 paella and that was more than enough. Everything is home made and with love and you can taste it: the sangria was freshly made, the tortilla fluffy, the garlic chili oil from the prawns delicious as a dip, the empenada surprising, the 50-50 paella we have all the ingredients dissected and tasted amazing and oooo, that dessert... the pastel de nata was to die for. Which I also did 😀 And we are already jealous of whoever is eating cheesecake today, because it was baked yesterday and it vibrated exactly how a cheesecake should vibrate... Add to this the well-coordinated team and the pleasant atmosphere and you have a great evening!

We shared a Paella pan. This was super tasty and with a starter we returned home with a full belly. Super friendly staff and the owner is happy to tell you more about Spain, his restaurant or the dishes. The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere that really gives you the feeling that you have found a gem.

Ate here the day before yesterday, delicious tapas and the paella was also delicious, the wine, the atmosphere and the service too! We did have some questions about the ingredients every now and then, the girl at the counter also took the time :) Highly recommended to eat here, very nice place! ;)

This was so delicious! We had called 10 minutes in advance to see if there was still room and were therefore able to join us straight away. But we didn't expect it to be this tasty! The scallops in px sauce were our favorite (even though we are actually vegetarian 😉), the cheesecake was also very popular. Nice atmosphere and super friendly service. Highly recommended!!

The paella for two is actually for one person, while you have to pay for two. And it wasn't really tasteful either. Unfortunately, it looks nice, but we won't be back. Greeting.

Had a lovely dinner here with the two of us last Saturday evening. We shared a paella 🥘 and several tapas. My favorites of the evening, the scallops with iberico ham! The pulpo with potato mousseline and the patatas bravas were also standouts. You can taste that everything is fresh and homemade (like the croquettes). We paid about €120 for 6 tapas and 1 paella for two people, 2 soft drinks and 2 wines. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Staff was also friendly! I rarely come to Nijmegen, but I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Oof, this is a shame. We were really looking forward to it and are very impressed with Tres Tintas; the owner's other restaurant (highly recommended: it received five stars). We really liked the service and the atmosphere, but the food (and that's what we came for anyway) wasn't very good. And what is best is of course completely subjective. We actually think everything is...too salty. The prawns, the chocolates...really too much salt. The croquettes were not really crispy as we know them from Spain (and we come there very often 😃). The only thing that was really great was the empanada. We will definitely go to très tintas again. Let's ignore Lume in our favorite list in Nijmegen.

This is a hidden gem in the old lower town! If you really want authentic Spanish food, then you have (literally) come to the right place! The food, decor and staff are amazing, what more could you want!

Cinco estrellas porque no puedo darle más 😊 Fuimos de vacaciones y nos ha encantado tanto la ciudad como Lume. El sitio está muy bien ubicado, el personal es muy amable (Marco, Ale y todos son estupendos) y para beber y comer es muy recomendable. Si pasáis por aquí no dudéis en entrar y probar la deliciosa gastronomía española y la sangría!

Service was attentive and very kind, yet I am sorry to say that nothing we tasted in this restaurant was genuine Galician or Spanish food. What they called paella was overcooked rice, nothing to do with a proper paella (which should be almost al dente and definitely not stirred like a risotto). Very odd take on Galician food.

De tapas waren echt heerlijk. Maar meer om zo bij een wijntje te nemen. Ik vond de prijs ook niet in relatie met wat je kreeg. Als echte maaltijd zou ik deze keuze niet meer maken. Ik heb de sfeer en de bediening niet als prettig ervaren. We kregen steeds weer te horen hoe BUSY ze waren met een zeer luide stem. Daarom voor ons eenmalig.

Per chi ha potuto gustare la vera cucina spagnola/galiziana non potrà che convenire che nulla rispecchia ciò che è… abbiamo provato svariati piatti dalla tortilla alle patate, al prosciutto iberico al polpo. Fino ai piatti elencati sarebbe stato forse un punteggio meno severo ma la paella con gamberi e polpo ha decretato una completa disfatta. La paella nelle sue diverse preparazioni è qualcosa che nulla ha a che vedere con quanto mangiato o meglio lasciato. La cosa più buona il pane, il prosciutto e la birra. Più che promosso il personale cordiale e sorridente.

Soy española y vivo en Holanda desde hace dos años. He ido a algunos sitios de comida española pero nada que ver con este. Este sitio cumple con sus platos españoles y están muy ricos. Las gambas al ajillo estaban muy buenas y la salsa con pan para chuparte los dedos, pero sin duda para mí lo mejor fueron las croquetas, super jugosas y con mucho sabor. El trato fue muy bueno, da gusto rodearse de gente de tu tierra. Volveria mil veces.

We arrived about 10 minutes earlier than our reservation but it was no problem. One of the workers, Marco, was great company. We had a nice conversation in which he also mentioned what dish we could try and how you share the food with the other person. The dishes were delicious and fresh🇪🇸! Great portions to share and enjoy with someone. Recommend ordering different dishes to do this. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes from the menu! 🤩☺️

Zodra je dit restaurant binnenloopt, begeef je je in het culinaire hart van Spanje. De pulpo gallego ( inktvis op Gallische wijze) was perfect bereid evenals de paella rijst. Dit restaurant is een absolute aanrader!

Spaans restaurant uit de regio Galicië. De vriendelijke bediening spreekt hoofdzakelijk Spaans en Engels, de aimabele kok spreekt Nederlands. Het concept lijkt op tapas, de porties zijn wat groter, geschikt om samen te proeven.

The food is four stars and the service is two stars. So The whole experience adds up to three stars. Food is freshly prepared from good quality ingredients and flavours are very pleasant to the palate. Granted we were on the busiest night of the week (Saturday) the restaurant could have done much better in having more staff on the floor and in the kitchen. Some dishes came in cold and some dishes took about 50 minutes to be served. So as the tip choose a slower night to eat at Lume.

Some of the best tapas I ever ate! As a reference, I had a lot of great tapas in Spain in my life. Lume offers fresh, modern and tasty food at good prices. Also the staff is fantastic.

Helemaal het gevoel gehad dat we in het buitenland zaten, dit was zo goed. Hele vriendelijke bediening en super lekker eten. Plaats niet zo snel een review maar dit is echt de moeite waard!!

Het eten was lekker. We hadden de tapasplank en op die manier konden we veel verschillende gerechten proeven. Het duurde wel lang voordat het geserveerd werd.

Ze hebben hier een overheerlijke kaart vol authentieke galicische tapas en/of pintxos. Lume leent zich ook zeker voor een biertje of wijntje op bijvoorbeeld een mooie zomeravond.
