Goesting was a very pleasant visit. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious, well-rounded dishes, and despite the crowds, we still managed to get a table and had a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back.

You simply get a brown slice of toasted bread. The amount of tuna salad on the bread was minimal, and the pulled chicken was also a thin layer. Not exceptional for that price. And if you mention it to the waitress, she doesn't know how to handle it. And she's not happy about it. The hard roll with surf and turf from another menu was okay, but just a pre-baked roll. The fries, which you have to pay for separately, are not okay in terms of price and quantity.

We shared nachos as a starter, delicious guacamole, tomato salsa, and crème fraîche... There was also chili sauce on the bottom... some reviews said it was too sweet, chili sauce is sweet and sour... so maybe it wasn't so bad after all! The duck was deliciously prepared, exactly how red it should be. Yes... you get four halved potatoes and some vegetables with it, which is not something you'll find often, but if you read carefully and want more, you can always order more... The cheesecake dessert was fine, not particularly special, but you don't need it for a bistro. A beautiful, atmospherically decorated restaurant. The host was very friendly, and the tall young man serving got it... he doesn't stand still, but cleans up every moment of rest. The chef... cooks well, but could learn to lean forward less and look at his phone when he has a moment to relax. This isn't exactly a promising view for the customer, even though he's a good cook. And of course, it's not very hygienic to be on your phone while cooking. Anyway, we have nothing else to complain about; it was a pleasant, delicious experience with excellent food. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the nachos, otherwise you could clearly see that they weren't soaked when we ate them! The 4 stars for the atmosphere are purely due to the poor view of the chef... that can always be improved, of course!

Mediocre! We ordered an Amstel Radler, sparkling water, and nachos. The Amstel was replaced with Gulpener without consultation. When we pointed this out, we were told "sorry," and the waitress quickly walked away. The beer also went flat in the glass. The nachos were absolutely below expectations! We received a bowl drenched in fatty cheese, which meant that almost no chips were crispy at all. It tasted sweet, as if it had honey in it. It was a truly disgusting, greasy, and limp mess! We mentioned this to the waitress, and she gave us another "sorry" and nothing more! Sparkling water was delicious! Nice and cold, and with a slice of lemon as requested.

We had a lovely lunch in the sunshine on October 1st. On the terrace here, you don't have the shade you find on many other terraces. It's a shame the bread they provided was a regular wheat slice and not the delicious dark whole wheat. The service was friendly.

Today I sat down on the terrace. The weather was lovely. I ordered Amstel Radler and nachos. I ended up getting a 0.0 Gulpener. All they said was, "Sorry, really not normal, no, I'll just get another one." The nachos were sweet with way too much sauce and cheese; it was a mess. The sunny spot was fine, but otherwise...

The place to be in Deventer. Besides the fantastic menu and service, it also offers lunch and dinner, with the most beautiful view of the most beautiful square in the Netherlands, the Brink.

It was a good restaurant with plenty of food and drink options. The service started well, but dessert took 20-25 minutes. The restroom was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful, always looking for solutions. It's highly recommended.

We reserved a spot at this lovely restaurant during the book market. The staff were attentive and friendly (we received a different beer than we ordered, something about the wrong keg being connected to the tap), and this was promptly resolved. The food is delicious and plentiful. The terrace is cozy and attracts a very diverse crowd. Definitely worth a return visit.

Today my wife and I had drinks and dinner at Goesting. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the terrace was very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The "afternoon shift" staff were still enjoying drinks afterward. A very friendly team with a great sense of humor. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu. The meat was sublime. But... 4 slices of potato and a portion of vegetables you could eat with a teaspoon. All in all, a disappointment for someone who wants a full and healthy meal.

Gezellige plek, mooie locatie op het plein. Samen met mijn vriend cocktails gedronken, ik had een redelijk luxe cocktail, weet de naam niet meer, die was heerlijk! De mojito was een enorme tegenvaller! In een klein glas en smaakt goedkoop, een tegenvaller.

Delicious food with very friendly and attentive service. Very attentive to dietary requirements. It is just a shame that you are still allowed to smoke on terraces.

A more expensive dish on the menu is Pork Belly, served with fried potatoes, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, 24 euros. No more than 1 tablespoon of vegetables, 1 tablespoon of mashed potatoes and 5 pieces of fried potatoes and a piece of bacon. We had to order fries with it. The burger and satay on the menu, 21 euros, are a plate full. What a strange policy.

Heerlijk geluncht. Het was druk op het terras en het meisje van de bediening vertelde dat er 2 collegas ziek waren. Daarom konden we alleen buiten plaats nemen. Ondanks dat werden we toch goed geholpen en kregen we een heerlijke lunch. Tja en het tafelje eas net afgeruimd maar nog niet schoon maar wij waren dik tevreden. Het geitenkaas broodje was heerlijk en de rest ook prima. Aardige bediening leuk uitzcht.

Food was fine. Staff all quite young, not really a manager. Because I thought it was a bit strange that the staff would stand at someone's table and eat from the plate (I suspect a staff member who was free). And that several times and also different staff members. I don't think it's very polite when guests are eating in the restaurant. Toilets weren't really clean either.

Was here with a group. Extensive menu with various dishes. From fairly standard to exciting combinations of flavors and ingredients. Service was smooth and correct. The restaurant is modern, but at the same time warmly decorated.

Only you had to wait a long time for your food, because it was busy on the terrace, but with the sun and patio heating, that didn't spoil the enjoyment, great thing.

It was very crowded at the Dickens Festival. Many of the staff were skillfully ordering drinks and food, and we didn't have to worry about the wait time. It was cold so we ate inside the restaurant, but the food matched the Christmas atmosphere and was delicious.

We found it very disappointing. Disinterested staff. We asked for fries instead of mashed potatoes, we got a crappy bowl, and when we ordered extra we had to pay for it. We asked for the seasonal vegetables, but they did not come. The glass of red wine had all kinds of sediment in it, when we said something about it, a lame story came out about the supplier, who had not delivered the good wine. Shameful, we will never go here again!

After a day in Deventer and surroundings. Arrived at Goesting at the beginning of the evening. Friendly service...great. Starters fine. My partner's main course was delicious. My main course of chicken thigh satay was extremely disappointing, really the worst and driest I have ever had on my plate. A bit of a shame! Not reported to the service... pay and leave...

Last Wednesday I wanted to have a drink and a small bite to eat. Everyone sat outside, but because of my health I wanted to sit inside. That was allowed. Once inside we were completely left to our own devices. The mainly young staff walked back and forth and didn't even see us. Behind the counter stood a young man, whom I tried to make contact with several times. Just as we were about to leave, he suddenly came towards us. We indicated that we wanted something to drink and a small bite to eat. He walked away and came back with the message that lunch is almost over, you can have dinner in half an hour. I didn't ask for that. Ok can we order something to drink then?? That was possible. Then a young lady came and asked what we wanted to eat. Well, not dinner, but a small snack. Then I'll just have bitterballen and a sandwich. What to drink?? we have already ordered that from that young man. So he said it was ice cold, we hadn't ordered anything from him. We ended up getting our coffee and bitterballen, plus a free almost heart attack from the price. So this is definitely a restaurant I will never take my guests to again.

We just walked around and settled on this terrace. After looking at the menu we decided to have something to eat Above expectations! So good! Lots of different flavors, perfectly matched. Definitely recommended and wonderful just outside the hustle and bustle of the hutje mutje terraces around the Waag. We had the chicken salad and the fish trio.

We come here every year during the book market, the apple crumb cake with whipped cream is part of it. Highly recommended, friendly service, beautiful view of the square.

Vorig bezoek was een teleurstelling maar vanwege de andere positieve recensies toch nog een 2e kans gegeven. We komen tot de conclusie dat de schrijvers van de positieve recensies of familie van de eigenaren moeten zijn of nooit goed uit eten zijn geweest. Zoveel middelmatigheid in 1,5 uur. Niet vaak meegemaakt. Geen enkele verrassing in de carpacio of het viking voorgerecht. Heel Jammer. Het hoofdgerecht is ook al geen uitdaging meer voor de brigade. Sauzen lagen al een dag te pruttelen in de pan want stijf als klei. Gerechten te zout en niet goed warm. Zonde van het in de basis goede stukje vlees. Wat op viel was het ongelooflijk jonge personeel. Volledig onervaren en niet in staat om welke vraag over de kaart te beantwoorden. Hier is werk aan de winkel voor de eigenaren, aan de plek ligt het niet..

Had dinner on Saturday evening with craving food and drinks and I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant as this time. Upon arrival it already started with the waiter going twice Just ask and don't forget to bring an ashtray. Ordered food together with my girlfriend. Spinach feta & a surf and turf. After half an hour the waitress comes with 2 plates that are not for us. (Can happen) To which I answer that we ordered a surf and turf and a salmon. I made a mistake because my girlfriend was very hesitant between the salmon and the spinach. After 2 minutes, a manager from the service comes to us and asks us what we ordered, to which the answer is that I just misspoke and we ordered surf and turf and spinach. After which the waiter walks back to the kitchen in stress. 5 minutes later I get my surf and turf and they say my girlfriend's dish is coming. While eating I find out that I didn't get any fries, my meat is cold and my shrimp and vegetables are cold. (Good taste) When I point this out, people say it's annoying and I don't hear anything about it anymore. An hour after ordering, while I have already had my food for half an hour, my friend receives her food, which fortunately tastes good and is warm. However, this does not compensate for the pleasant feeling of eating and drinking together! No apologies were received and no one came to our table to ask if the food tasted good or even to take a look at us. When paying, we expressed our experience and told them that we were not really satisfied. They simply said that they were confused because I accidentally made a mistake. While the waiter still takes an order? And there is simply no response about the cold food. I've always had nice experiences at Cravings in the past, but I'll never come here again. No criticism of the owner because I know he would never act like that.

Okay... order served incorrectly, so one of us got a plate and the other still had to wait. Both food was cold and we did not understand our complaints. In the end it was blamed on us because we had ordered incorrectly...? Truly the worst experience ever in a Deventer restaurant. I really wouldn't visit this restaurant.

The food is okay, but not particularly good. The Tom Kha Kai soup was not what you would expect and tasted more like curry soup. The pasta is tasty. Service is fast and friendly.

Vanwege de recensies voor Goesting gekozen. Het was echter een grote teleurstelling! Bediening was niet aardig en on attent. Geen bestek bij de maaltijd en toetje gebracht. Tafel plakte, er lag een kurketrekker met kurk op tafel die daar achter gelaten was van de tafel ernaast. Drankjes en eten duurde echt heel lang, 2,5 Uur zitten voor een hoofdgerecht en een toetje. En de spaghetti paddestoelen was echt niet lekker, het smaakte als een vettige spaghetti, zonder enkele smaak. Frietjes kwam 20 min nadat het hoofdgerecht geserveerd werd. Kortom geen aanrader! Jammer.

Drukke zaak aan de Brink. Ondanks dat alle tafels bezet waren, is de bediening zeer attent. De bestelde broodjes werden vrij snel gebracht. De smaak is prima, het beleg had wat royaler mogen zijn. Zorg dat je met het koude weer niet dichtbij de deur zit, deze ging nml om de paar minuten open en dicht. De kans op een longontsteking is niet ondenkbaar……

It was wonderful to relax there after a Saturday afternoon concert in the beautiful Bergkerk. In the middle of winter on the heated terrace. Completely to my liking. 🍵🍺
