The waitress on the first floor who was wearing glasses was extremely rude and even yelled in my face for no clear reason. I was completely shocked by the way I was treated. This was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. I will not be coming back.

This is without a doubt one of the best dim sum restaurants I've ever eaten at! =) A true gem in a less-than-expected location. You can park nearby for a reasonable price (it's Amsterdam, after all) with Parkbee. There's a parking garage less than a 5-minute walk away.

Tasty food, superb atmosphere, friendly staff.

Was so disappointed, came here specifically for chicken feet with black beans sauce but don’t have. Food was ok. Service was fast. Lots of small flies eating with you. Their toilet basin water faucet and toilet roll holder are falling apart.

A nice restaurant with excellent service. The food is good. Better than your average Chinese restaurant. We dined in and also picked up takeout for the same day/evening. Excellent.

Such a shame. I had chicken tyriaki delivered. I've been eating Chinese food for 45 years, but this was the worst ever. Brrr. I would have preferred to email the restaurant. Just to give them feedback so they could do something about it. But they're not reachable by email. So, I'll just do it. Normally, the food there is okay. But this was truly awful.

When we arrived, the restaurant was already closed. The tour guide had to call the owner to ask him to open it so we could have dinner. Although the food wasn't very good, at least we could eat rice, which is a blessing abroad.

The food is delicious. Everything is delicious. And it arrives quickly and hot. The service is good. Friendly people. It's a shame there's paid parking and it's often full. But the restaurant can't do anything about that. Really delicious dim sum and dishes. My children organized a surprise birthday party in the summer and received a lot of help from the staff. Really great!!

Authentic Chinese food outside of the city center. We went for a lunch and a a nice variety of dimsum dishes. Easy ordering and nice staff

We had a wonderful meal here! The whole place is packed with Chinese people, so that should be fine. One drawback: when you eat for €45 per person, I expect you to be able to take home at least four white bowls. The nasi and bami are also small portions. I should add that the toilet hasn't been very pleasant the past few days! But that's just part of it, of course.

Ordered some delicious spicy food through Uber. It was enough for two days.

The food was better over six months ago, last time I went on October 20, 2015. Everything is a bit more expensive, the selection is much smaller, the quantity of some dishes is a bit smaller, and it's also less tasty. Unfortunately.

The food was mediocre at best and the service is a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! Not one person in the staff spoke dutch or any english The first girl who took our order nodded 'yes' the whole time, but managed to miss a few items I made an attempt to let one of them know that the meal was incomplete and the older lady just walked away looking for other staff. A third lady took our order again. I guess they were still unsure because after 10 minutes they came back to the table with the menu card pointing with her finger at a completely different dish as if to say 'Is this what you wanted?' Nope, I want this and that. And finally, the food arrived.... and it was not the food I showed them in the menu. At that point I just gave up.

We had a truly delicious meal at this Chinese restaurant. It's unlike anything we've ever tasted at a regular Chinese takeout restaurant. Many delicious dishes were served on the rotating table. What a culinary delight!

We've been here several times and had a fantastic meal. The website says the restaurant has been given a makeover. Unfortunately, that look doesn't fit. The selection has been reduced, and the quality has declined significantly. Dishes aren't served hot. It's no longer a specialty restaurant. It's a shame, now we have to go to The Hague for real Dim Sum; we won't be back.

Back after three years. The food was great. After some initial communication issues, everything worked out. Good, tasty Asian cuisine. 👍

A gem in Nieuw-West. The food is delicious. They also attract a lot of Chinese customers, which I consider a good sign. The flavors are authentic and high-quality. The atmosphere is cozy, and upon entering, there's a lovely little bridge with fish.

Delicious, the duck was amazing, the other dishes as well. The location is pretty confortable and not hectic (as city centre). There are lots of different dishes for all tastes, service was good and the place very neat, the fast didn´t take long, very good.

Amazing service and delicious food! The staff are so nice. Authentic Chinese food! We were amazed by how fast the orders came out and how good quality the food is. The eggplant dish is so flavourful and is a perfect paired with the fried rice. Everything was so delicious. Loved that they gave clementines at the end. Just like a Chinese mom/aunty would.

I've been to this place to eat dim sum a few times already and every time I like it more and more! Delicious food, quick service, kids are welcome.

Because it was my first time in Amsterdam for the Open Source Summit Europe 2025, I wasn't familiar with finding a bus and buying tickets, which took some time. By the time I checked in at the hotel, it was already 9 PM. Famished, I put my luggage away and started looking for supermarkets and restaurants near the hotel. Within a 12-minute walk, I found a Lidl and this restaurant. After buying groceries and some snacks at Lidl, it was already 9:30 PM. Seeing on Google Maps that the restaurant closed at 10 PM, I decided to give it a try. It was almost closing time, but there were still three or four tables of customers in the restaurant. The waitress wasn't impatient; instead, she quickly served my Yangzhou fried rice after I ordered it, telling me to take my time. This restaurant has a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant feel. The fried rice was perfectly cooked and generously prepared, with shrimp, egg, ham, scallions, diced green onions, and red and green peppers. For a hungry Chinese stomach newly arrived in a new place, it was like spring rain. A plate of fried rice completely filled my stomach, yet also filled with a sense of nostalgia. Just the right plate of fried rice, just the right price, just the right time, just the right hospitality. Maybe tomorrow evening I'll try the dim sum I missed tonight. I'm craving the black bean sauce spare ribs and barbecued pork buns. The last time I had them was many years ago while in transit at Hong Kong Airport, and I doubt I'll ever get those same flavors again in the same place. The world changes so quickly, but I hope some flavors never change.

Such a bad experience! The waiter can't speak english and had great difficulty in taking our order. She did not even know the foods proposed on the menu. Then she brings us some unidentified food that we never ordered, maintaining that this was our order, showing us as a proof a small note she had written in Chinese! We had to raise our voice to send this food back and get what we have really ordered. In addition, food is quite expensive, considering the lower than average quality!

One of the worst Chinese restaurants I've ever tried. Bland dishes, lacking the ingredients that make Chinese cuisine excellent. The broths are basically water and cabbage, with no spices, and even the salt is lacking. The dishes are expensive—OK, Amsterdam is expensive, but in the suburbs, next to the one that makes €7 pizza, I expect that if I pay a lot, I'll get at least decent service. A huge disappointment. I recommend the rice or ramen, which is at least filling. Don't expect anything special; it's probably all industrially made.

We wanted something a little bit different for dinner so tried this wonderful restaurant. The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us upon arriving at the restaurant. We did not reserve a table but were given a table straight away. The menu and dishes were explained to us as a little variation from the chinese dishes we have in Scotland so it was good to ask for suggestions as to what to order. There is a great array of dishes to suit all tastebuds. We ordered starters and mains and the portions sizes were value for money. The food was all so tasty and delicious. I loved the food especially the fried rice and the chicken teryiaki! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

Terrible attitude and discriminative language. We raised question about the menu charge and then the boss asked if we were too poor to dine out. Is this kind of service really acceptable?

This might be the first time I'm giving a 2 star review on a restaurant... TLDR: owner was extremely rude, called us poor and insecure. The food was ok, but the service was terrible! before we had a chance to take a good look at the menu, an old waitress came by and asked if we wanted water. Since we're travelling here from another country, we assumed the water would be free tap water, but the waitress came back with a 750 ml bottle of water and at this stage I knew we had to pay for it. That itself is ok, but what I'm not ok with is this bottle of water was 6.80€ (there are many cheaper options on the menu, and this was NOT a high end water brand) and the terrible attitude of the owner! I felt like the old waitress did not really explain the different waters on the menu and just conned us into ordering the most expensive one. Later when we mentioned this to the owner, she was very rude and disrespectful, basically called us poor and said we need to eat out more. From the owner's attitude I can see why the old waitress was also rude, as the owner is enabling this kind of behaviour. However the other waitresses seemed to be nice. Overall, the food was fine but if you value good service, I would not recommend coming here.

I always come here for Dimsum in Amsterdam. For the reason that the dishes are tasty and price are reasonable. However, I’m really disappointed with the service today. The old waitress was really rude and only spoke Cantonese. I asked for an extra tea cup first in Chinese, she replied 講咩 in Cantonese, and then I have to repeat in English. ??? I can understand what you’re talking even though I don’t speak Cantonese. I highly suggest the owner of this restaurant to give your staff more training. This is really not okay.

If you looking for a unique food experience. Food exceptional. Flavors out of this world in an authentic ambiance where the staff is friendly. The Jasmin tea was delicious. Will definitely go here again.

The restaurant is quite new , it is near AH - lots of spaces - Beans and duck are good - Dimsum are so so but big portion - Toilet is not that much clean

Delicious authentic dim sum restaurant! Dishes are fresh, well seasoned and served quickly. Lots of choice and nice atmosphere. Perfect for a cozy lunch or family dinner. Definitely one of the better dim sum places in the region!

Good food, sometimes good service. Today I went to order a take away, couldn't find the noodle dishes, the lady in the counter was extremely rude and inpatient with me and gave me a frustrated face. I am fluent in Dutch, yet she assumed I don't only because I struggled to find the noodle dishes. Very disappointed by this rude behavior.

In the Netherlands🇳🇱 for a week, I ate at many Chinese restaurants, and this one really surprised me. The boss, the service is very good, the food is delicious, very Chinese, the price is very affordable, parking is very convenient, and hot water is provided for free. If I come to the Netherlands again, I will definitely eat here again

Delicious food at Golden Garden including Dim Sum Lunch & authentic Chinese specialties.

We ate as a group of friends arriving at 9pm. We were told that the restaurant would be closing at 10pm. We quickly made our choices and the food arrived piping hot. Chicken and fresh vegetables with noodles and rice. Delicious! After a long day we ate the food promptly. The bill was paid whilst tables were being cleared around us. We didn't feel too rushed but were aware that they would be closing at 10pm. The next day after dining out at a different restaurant we realised that the cost of the previous evenings meal was expensive we checked the receipt and realised that we had been charged twice for our meal! The next evening we headed back to see if we could get a refund on the overcharging. We anticipated a challenge due to language barrier but needn't have worried as the Manager there fully acknowledged the overcharging and promptly refunded us. He was profusely sorry. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again when in the area.

If you want authentic dim sum it's a bit strange. Xiao long bao is made with a sort of bread dough and breaks easily. No ginger. Scallops had too much soy sauce and no garlic.

Organized wedding party. Despite some miscommunication, the owner responded well and everything ran smoothly. Price also good. We had a private room with a microphone and a screen, even did karaoke. We had a fantastic evening. Top!!

Went there for dim sum (shrimp, beef, bbq pork bun, duck rice roll). Food was fresh and tasty, dim sum was one of the best ones we’ve had in Amsterdam. Prices were good too. Service was very slow and unorganised, it took forever to get anyone’s attention to indicate we wanna pay and leave. The restaurant wasn’t very busy. The ambience overall is okay, but nothing amazing. There’s a little bridge indoors with a tiny pond with fish, which we found cute.

Food not so amazing. Just average taste. Service really terrible. It took them 15-20 min to just take an order for drinks until then there was no one coming to the table to take an order. Restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Only 5-6 tables to the max!

Terrible, undercooked meat, sauce based just on ketchup, rice tastes like been passed through dishwasher. Choose kebab boys instead 😌

Food was pretty decent but the lady we ordered with messed up our order and instead of being polite about it she sounded angry and argued. After this she began to speak trash about me in cantonese to the table next to us.

A gem outside the Amsterdam ring road. The food is authentic and fantastic. The dim sum dishes can also be ordered during dinner. This is often not possible at other Chinese restaurants. I am always happy to come back.

We were 7 adults and 2 small children. We had a very tasty meal. Mainly Dim Sum. Friendly service and expert in the field of allergens. We lacked nothing. Handy ordering system with QR code, but you can also order at the counter. Taking food home was no problem.

I ordered the chicken with the Sichuan sauce for takeaway. Unfortunately very blend food without carachter, disappointing when compared to other Chinese Sichuan Restaurants in town. I requested if I could switch the chicken with pork instead and the response was a straight "no possible!" without further explanations. Plus, the lady who served me put the boxes upside down in the bag with no cuttleries/parking, so I could not eat at the park as planned and half of the sauce was spilled out in the bag. :(

Probably the only dim sum place in the neighborhood. Don’t expect too much from the restaurant. Some dim sums are commercial products (meaning you can technically find them in amazing oriental and heat it up in microwave oven yourself). Knowing that these are pre-made food, guess the pricing is a bit high but overall on the affordable range. Staff are overall friendly.
