After arriving it took 20 minutes before I was helped. Drank soup, found a lemon pit in it. Ordered breakfast which was still not at the table after an hour. As if that wasn't enough I had to get up from a table outside because there was a group and no room for the group. No reservation sign on the table. In short, NO OFFENDER.

It's not a place for tourists or if you have a pet. We tried to sit inside, and they asked to go outside, even if it was empty (it was a cold, windy day). They don't have an English menu, when we traied to order, after having to translate the whole menu, they also didn't have the options we want to eat. In the end, we had to leave and didn't order anything. It was a table of 7 people

Actually, we went there to drink the soup, but it was not left until the evening, there was only lentils. The grills were very nice and delicious, it made us feel like we were in Turkey. The employees are very friendly and polite. I would like to thank Mr. Furkan for his interest.

It's a calm and stylish environment, the food is delicious and the service is fast, I liked the meat very much, I recommend you to try the garbage skewer.

Been for breakfast. Upon arrival we had to ask for a menu card ourselves because the staff did not pay attention to you. (There were only 2 employees serving inside and outside) Ordered breakfast, but it is far from what is shown in the photos of the restaurant itself. You can barely breathe properly on the terrace because people are smoking while you are eating and the tables are not far apart. So not fresh.

A pleasant restaurant where you can enjoy delicious and varied Turkish delicacies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I always feel at ease. The restaurant is hygienic and well-maintained. I will definitely come back here more often.

The restaurant itself looks very nice. The tables are a bit too close to each other. The service was practically non-existent. Nobody checked in to see if the food was okay or if we needed anything. We waited a long time for someone to take our dessert order, but no one came, so we ended up leaving without it. The prices were high for the quality of the food, and the fries were not included with the main dish (3 pieces of meat and some rice), which they should have been, especially when paying 28 euros. Overall, there’s definitely room for improvement.

I write the word service in the words of the gentleman in his 50s who is in charge of the place. We ordered cheese plate, menemen and eggs with sausage. 2 menemen came with sausage and eggs. The food arrived and the service didn't arrive for 10 minutes. Then a plate came and no fork came. When the waiter told the friend that our order was wrong and the cutlery did not come, he said it was coming every time and took care of other tables. When we conveyed this situation to the gentleman who identified himself as the official, he responded to everything I said with the following expression: "If you don't like it, you don't have to come, pay the bill and go." No human being would say a word to an institution that says, "I'm sorry, we're busy." However, it would be very natural for you to experience these problems in a business where there is an official who responds to the problem rudely.

Göreme hamburger is delicious (15 euro), its patties are exactly steakhouse quality. The atmosphere is comfortable. There is no problem in terms of hygiene.

It was a very nice place before, staff service was great, now it is zero service, zero waiters do not look after the tables, I went there 3 times and we waited for 1 hour to order.

I had reserved an iftar for 3 people last Wednesday 19-03-2025 for Friday 21-03-2025. A table was reserved for us. I was called by the restaurant on Thursday evening 20-03-2025 to confirm my reservation again. On the way to the restaurant it was busy on the highway (we came from Rotterdam) and we knew that we would be there just in time for the iftar. I called the restaurant and indicated that we would be there exactly on time and asked if we could already place our order. I was told that this was not possible to prevent dissatisfaction because the food could then get cold. However, the employee did indicate with certainty that our table would remain reserved and that we could then place our order. He assured us of this convincingly! Upon arrival we were very badly received and no one was present as a host/hostess. We asked almost all employees if we could be helped but we were ignored. A little later I asked the employee in the restaurant, who I had on the phone, about our reservation. The restaurant was full and there were clearly no tables available. Yet the employee kept pretending to look for a place knowing that there was no place. I told the employee that I called a total of 3 times to reserve our place and all the employee had to say was "I understand". I have never experienced this before. Such bad service and still giving away the promise that our table would remain reserved is downright ridiculous and shows zero appreciation for the customer and the restaurant itself.

My family and I love to have a snack or even dinner at Goreme. I love the lentil soup and Sigara Boregi. Good service! Clean and bright place. Comfortable chairs and clean bathroom. After the renovation it got even better! I highly recommend it!

Went a year ago when the food was really tasty and service fast. With those expectations we went again on February 3 with 6 people, but now really disappointed. Food was not tasty, especially the döner. It certainly couldn't be called fresh. The portions have also become much smaller than before. Furthermore, the staff always forgot something after ordering and was slow. And that for a Monday evening. Unfortunately not value for money. No more Göreme for me next time.

Food is delicious service is top notch

The biggest plus is that the staff acts with care under all circumstances. If you don't like what you eat or if the seat you are sitting in is uncomfortable, it can be fixed with a smile. We thank the staff and the gentleman who took the payment at the cash register.

The atmosphere is legendary, the food is delicious, I wanted to give Tugay brother 7 stars, but unfortunately I can only give 5 stars. He deserves thanks, First of all, never return from this restaurant without eating soup. The trotter soup was so delicious that I almost ordered a second one. Luckily, there was plateau soup and my wife ate it too. She was beautiful too. The sautéed lamb and chops were delicious, the spring rolls were legendary... the doner kebab was not delicious enough to eat again. Their bread is delicious. The restaurant is clean and modern. I will definitely come again before leaving Amsterdam.

Göreme Restaurant on Plein 40-45 is a place where you can sometimes be bothered by crowds, but in my opinion that says a lot about the quality and customer focus of this business. Of course there are some minor negatives here and there, but these are rather points of attention that they are continuously improving. What makes Göreme really unique is their own butcher shop. The fact that they are already considered one of the best in Amsterdam gives you confidence that you can always eat well here. The meat is fresh, tasty and prepared with care. In addition, the service scores high on customer friendliness. Despite the crowds, they continue to do their best to help everyone. The team can sometimes get lost in the hustle and bustle, but let's not forget that they are people who work hard to please everyone. All in all, this restaurant deserves a thumbs up. Highly recommended for anyone who likes tasty, fresh food with friendly service!
