I'm giving one star for the lies your staff told me. I'm a driver, and I had to park in this lot for five days. I showed up on Friday and politely asked about the price of a shower, to which I was told it was only open on Monday. On Monday, they told me it wasn't open at all. However, for a driver from Germany, the shower suddenly opened. Why create a shower option and not let people in? I was willing to pay whatever price they told me. Establishments like this with such attitudes reveal the true face of the country and its attitude toward foreign drivers. Previously, they wrote that this was a restaurant. I agree. But the restaurant is in a truck parking lot on the highway. If you don't want to let people in the shower, then eliminate the service altogether. They didn't let me get any water either.

As always, we had a delicious meal. The service is welcoming, very friendly, alert, and nice and quick with the order without making us feel like we have to rush. We always enjoy coming back here.

They only serve Pepsi products. Staff friendly. There is only one vegetarian option (vegetarian schnitzel; immediately the most expensive item on the menu at 28.50). It is and remains a roadside diner.

I had the pleasure of stopping here during my travels throughout the country. The restaurant is cozy, with a pleasant area to dine in, with a wide variety of food options. I’d like to praise the service that I received, specifically our waitress who spoke English, due to the fact that’s she was Spanish, and she was exceptionally friendly and professional.

On Sunday, August 10, 2026, almost the entire parking lot was filled with smiley faces, and I was no exception. A vigilant driver from Poland managed to scare off the bandits. They were most likely operating a white van with a NL license plate, because shortly after the truck drivers became active, the van quickly left the parking lot. The lights in the parking lot aren't working everywhere.

The food was very spicy. The hostess was very grumpy, couldn't manage a smile, and was completely unfriendly and snappy; another staff member spoke very little Dutch. There was one friendly male waiter. He was very friendly and also up for a joke now and then.

We arrived Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. from a return trip from Greece and wanted something to eat, but the kitchen didn't open until 11:00 a.m. Then the young lady offered to make us something, and it was excellent and very delicious. This is what the staff at your business does best. 👍👍👍

I assume that the parking in front of the restaurant is private and paid. The parking lot behind the restaurant is free. They let you in the shower as usual! Sometimes YES, sometimes NO 😆 If you are lucky there is a possibility to take a shower for 2.5€ But mostly the shower is not available... The food was at a normal price like in every parking lot and it was okay. In my case the service was okay with exceptions :) - Parking ✅ - Food ✅ - Shower ❌

Take a break from the stress of driving. Escape to another world. Super friendly staff. English or Dutch language options. We'll definitely take our break here again. The children's area could use an update. And the restrooms should be checked more regularly.

The hamburger was gone from the menu, not available anymore. I asked if they could check inside, but they didn't even bother to ask. I had come here for a hamburger.

I went out for dinner alone on Friday, ordered sparkling water, then schnitzel gordon bleu, which was tasty, but the side dish was a bowl of burnt potatoes and one lukewarm vegetable. Two packets of mayonnaise were thrown on the table, and I didn't see anyone again all that time, nothing left to drink, and something like "how does it taste?". When paying, I mentioned it; well, if you eat alone you get either potatoes or fries and one kind of vegetable, but you still pay for everything. Two people were sitting next to me; they had two kinds of potatoes, vegetables, and salad, the mayonnaise was neatly in a small bowl, and people came to get drinks.

There are showers, but not for truck drivers. Parking is available, provided you order something at the restaurant. There's no information at the entrance.

Waiting more than half an hour for a toasted sandwich and a healthy roll is quite long. The service was extremely helpful and friendly. The terrace could be maintained better; full ashtrays and chairs with bird droppings.

We ate here today; it was very bad. I had beef stew, which was just large pieces of beef in gravy and was very dry. I didn't consider this beef stew. My daughter had steak; it cost 30 euros. We had to share the fries between the two of us. My mother had goat cheese salad; the pieces of lettuce were far too big, and one piece of goat cheese would have been enough. We pointed this out, but they only said sorry. We paid 80 euros, which is way too much for this bad food.

Incredibly delicious food, friendly and reasonably fast service. The interior looks nice and there is more than enough choice on the menu. However, everything is quite expensive, especially for a roadside restaurant. Still, definitely recommended.

This isn't my first time parking in this lot. I chose it because sometimes I want to eat like home instead of cooking. Everyone has different tastes, but for me, the food here is 👍👍👍👍. And the dark beer is divine. The toilets are clean, which is a plus, and the showers are also perfect. And don't complain about not being allowed in. But you want it for free. All the free showers and toilets are broken after visits from rude colleagues who don't appreciate the work of others.

I had XXL fried meat with mushroom sauce. 👍It was delicious! The service was good and fast! Thank you.

We ate there tonight; it was always good, but when we walked in, the plate was placed straight on the table with no placemat, no book but just a sheet with fewer dishes, much less vegetables, and the broccoli was watery, hard, and had almost no sauce. The stuffed mushrooms didn't have tasty minced meat. A real letdown. When they came to clear up, they left half of it behind. I asked for a cappuccino, and it took a very long time before anyone came... they were happy to come, but they are moving on now, too bad..

We received the worst treatment ever today. My wife wanted to order food for outside on the terrace, but the owner wouldn't allow it because he didn't like her appearance, as she apparently didn't please him, even though there were other people eating on the terrace. You will never see us here again. We will not let ourselves be treated like this.

The food was fine. Unfortunately, it was noticeable that the service was very unfriendly. Our food and drinks were roughly placed on the table in front of us. When my mother asked to take her leftovers home, a container and bag were thrown on the table without explanation, and we were left to sort it out ourselves. We have NEVER experienced anything like this before. This is supposed to be packed up properly. Furthermore, the dirty plate was not cleared away. What made it particularly unpleasant was the clear difference in treatment compared to other tables. There, people were laughing, talking, and being served politely, whereas we felt completely unwelcome. Very disappointing and absolutely not a pleasant experience. We will not be returning here.

Wanted to go out for dinner this afternoon, but only had a drink; tables dirty, cutlery dirty, dead flies lying on the window sill. In short, didn't order any food, afraid of getting sick. So, never again.

We had heard good things, so we went to eat there yesterday around 3:30 PM. No more than 5 tables were occupied. We got our drinks quickly and our order was prepared reasonably fast. In the meantime, another couple came in and they got their starter much faster than us. After that, we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our starter: shrimp cocktail and salad with goat cheese. It was very tasty. Then, after we had finished, it took at least 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. I asked if it was taking a very long time for them to notice that we were finished. The waiter replied, "Why?" (We were also sitting very much in plain sight.) In the meantime, that other couple had already had their main course. My husband and I then mentioned that we had been sitting there for a while. The answer was, "Oh, your main course is already ready." Very strange, is it standing under a heat lamp then? He came with the plates containing only the meat. We didn't have any cutlery. I had to go get the side dishes. When he came back, he said the fries were still in the oil. Then my husband said, "I find it very strange that not everything is ready in one go. I've never experienced this before." The waiter asked again, "Why?" Then it was finished. I said, "I find this very strange." He said, "That sounds clear, you can leave without paying." Well, so that's what we did. You will never see me here again. There was a change of staff, because the first boy was very polite. But I have nothing good to say about the one who came after him.

It took too long. It was half cold. We had to ask for our food. Knives were thrown around when they came to collect them. They also forgot what was supposed to be served because there was a 12-year-old. All in all, he was a useless little guy when it came to serving. He acted like he was working hard, but he wasn't!

What a lousy place, the waitress could look a bit happier next time... if I ever come back at all. Edit to the owner: I've been back several times, but nothing has changed... But apparently every negative message is one too many😂

Even in Eastern European countries, so disliked by people who respond to comments, roadside service operates 24 hours a day. Unlike in the Netherlands.

How quickly people change their opinions of you. Yesterday I showered without any problems and paid 2.50 euros. Today I go and they're already refusing me, citing the fact that it's Sunday 😂 Even though a colleague was standing nearby and said he'd showered 30 minutes earlier.

I don't understand the other reviews. The restaurant staff are very polite. Showers were readily available. The cost was very low for this country. Perhaps it's the driver's attitude and his own culture when entering the restaurant. Knowing the language certainly helps. I have no complaints. Thank you for the shower after a long day :).

Behind the restaurant, there's a large parking lot for cars and trucks. Spaces are in small spaces or one behind the other. It's well-lit, clean, and safe. It can be full after 5 PM. I didn't use the restaurant or restrooms, so I can't comment on them.

I dont get why i need to pay 20 euro for foodd to have access to showers when i can go to Germany and have 1 at any gas station for 3-5 €. The one thinking the system doesn t know how profitable the showers are for a parking on highway. Yes there are vadalisms but it s simple to ask for truck key first and check after and demand payment to return the key for any damage.it takes 10 sec and could provide lot of income.

There is a clean shower, 2.50 euros for boiling water, I recommend it👍🏻

The kitchen is good, but the waiters are under all kinds of criticism. Very arrogant, disrespectful behavior and untimely service. They have no coordination at all what is happening. They seated me at a miserable table and after 10 minutes they came to tell me that the kitchen had already closed at 8:30 PM.

It's still a roadside restaurant, but it's a very good one. We had a delicious meal, the service was very fast, and the staff was friendly. If you're on the road and fancy a bite to eat, this is definitely a must!

The restaurant has a great shower, it was working today.

Parking is fine, with a little surprise at night in the form of fireworks. The shower is elegant in the restaurant (I think it costs €3).

We had dinner here tonight, and everything was delicious. The kohlrabi was especially delicious!!

Only went in for the restroom. It cost a euro. 😀 I didn't mind the euro. It's not a public restroom, I understand.

Ample parking for guests. Showers are available for €2.50 (after pre-ordering) and toilets for €1. The meal was delicious, and the portions were huge – one cutlet was easily enough for two people. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they spoke very good English.

We went here for dinner. For the price you pay, it wasn't anything special. Especially considering the ambiance and the space. The food was saltier than expected. After getting home, I drank a whole bottle of water, even though I never drink much. And certainly not a liter of water. We had a mini bowl of red cabbage, spinach, about 12 diced potatoes, and 12 fries for four people. That's okay because the schnitzels we ordered were large, but then I wonder how little someone who's alone gets, or do they get the same amount? You certainly don't get your 200 grams of vegetables. And 2.25 for mayonnaise. You buy a whole jar for that. You do get such a large container of mayonnaise that you can completely cover those few fries with mayonnaise twice. Pretty ridiculous. What do they do with the leftover mayonnaise? I assume they throw it away. With that amount, I understand they can justify 2.25, but what a waste.

The Russian driver commenting below says that countries like France and Germany offer shower services, but the Netherlands doesn't offer this service. He says to stay in paid parking lots. I'll upload here 10 km away. Write the nearest paid parking lot on Monday and let's see how far it is. People with an IQ level shouldn't be drivers.

The driver's menu was €25.00, excellent value for money, the shower was very spacious and comfortable, and I personally found the bottle of Hertog Jan beer €4.50 rather expensive. The menu plus four beers was €44.00. If the bottle were €3.50, you'd be close to five stars. The atmosphere might have had something to do with my fellow diners being tired after their hard day's work.

This week, six people ate here. The food was delicious, nothing to complain about. However, the service was a bit lacking. There were only two staff members in the restaurant for about 12 to 15 occupied tables. This meant the wait time to order was very long. We spent over an hour and a half, including our food (main courses only), which is quite long for a roadside restaurant. I can imagine there might be staffing issues, but in that case, you'd have to find another solution. Again, the food was good, but the rest left much to be desired.

A very good experience. Friendly service and the quality of the food was excellent! We will definitely be back; the Goudreinet is highly recommended! Today, Saturday, February 11, 2023, we had another delicious meal, and the service was very friendly and hospitable. We had a delicious apple struddel for dessert!

A short stopover on our way to Amsterdam. Restrooms relatively clean, access via a turnstile. Currently €1 - card payment only! Snacks and drinks, as well as other items, are available. Everything you'd expect from a gas station besides fuel. The outside area was quite well maintained. Ample parking available.

Atmosphereless roadside restaurant

Nice, large restaurant with ample parking. Extensive menu with plenty of choices. I ordered a Russian salad as a starter and the XL schnitzel for the main course. Both were very tasty. For dessert, I had a small ice cream sundae. It's great that you can also order a small dessert. My partner had the beef stew, which was a bit dry, but with the sauce and everything else that came with it, it tasted great.

When I ask twice about a burger, I need a burger, not a restaurant brochure.

Drove here again for breakfast, arrived pretty late at 10:30, but hey, I thought I'd give them some time to wake up. I got the message again that there's no one in the kitchen to make an omelet, hahahaha, hopeless. Just adjust your opening hours if you can't make it.

We didn't get around to eating. I entered with my wife and three dachshunds and saw a table for four in a secluded corner that was just being cleared. Since that's a nicer place to eat with the dogs, I wanted to sit there. But the curt manager wouldn't let me. We were told to sit at a table for two in the open space and nowhere else. We sat down, a little bewildered, but by the time I turned around to order a drink, the lady had already vanished. Taking drinks orders was beneath her dignity. "Good luck with that, I'll spend my money elsewhere," she said. The food was delicious elsewhere.

The food was delicious, although the farmer's chicken schnitzel was served in a bowl of tomato soup. Unfortunately, this wasn't listed on the menu, even though the sauce was mentioned with several dishes, so I wasn't prepared for it. A slight disappointment (because I don't like tomatoes), but despite that, the chicken schnitzel was excellent. The carpaccio appetizer was also delicious! The atmosphere was good, and the service from the staff was superb. Very friendly, helpful, and incredibly polite. I'll definitely be back!!!!!! Only then will I go for the cordon bleu (in cheese sauce). The price is also great!

Ordered white bread with (grandma's) meatball/artisanal/mayonnaise. Not a single artisanal piece to be found. Grandma's meatball was a canned meatball with a sachet of Remia mayonnaise. The bread was stale. The tomato and cucumber were too. I mentioned this, but nothing was done about it. Not worth repeating.

We had to wait over an hour for our starter, which the kitchen had forgotten. We were immediately served a main course, and we explained that we hadn't received one yet. It arrived fifteen minutes later, and after we'd finished it, the main course arrived within five minutes. It was clearly visible that it had been under a warming lamp the entire time and had completely cooled down. We refused and left, once and for all!

The restaurant and terrace look very dated. Outside, the roof eaves are in need of maintenance. Overall impression: very uninviting.

It's always a sense of homecoming when we cross into the Netherlands from this side. We arrived in time for a (late) lunch and were well served by the efficient and friendly waitress.
