Only one dog is allowed. We had two, so we weren't allowed in. It's not a dog restaurant. Unfortunately, we can't give a further review.

The host gave me a very unfriendly welcome. The hostess was polite, though. His attitude doesn't suit a café owner. It's a shame, because he drives away so many customers. Definitely not recommended. A tip: drive all the way to the roundabout. It's a very good and friendly establishment.

Only had coffee on the terrace outside. The restroom could use a makeover.

A nice place in itself, and the waitress was friendly. But the owner was anything but polite. Despite our friendly attitude, the man was downright rude to the Flemish visitors. He should have written on his sign "Everyone welcome, except Flemish." That would undoubtedly make him happier. Zero hospitality! We left with a bad feeling. I'm not putting any more energy into this... such an intolerant man!

Really enjoyed the great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Ignore the negative reviews about the service; keep in mind that they have no staff and work 24/7. If you don't have time and can't handle humor, eat something at one of the many places that serve the same old thing.

One star is still too much... we regularly eat/drink out, but neither of us has ever experienced this. I didn't have time to look at the menu because he kept waiting in front of me, so I decided to ask if he had green ice tea, but apparently that question was incredibly strange and excessive, because it wasn't on the menu, was it? (Even though I didn't have time to look at the menu). Then he told other customers we were being rude! What a character. We'll never go back and will advise anyone else against it either. Now we understand the comments other people have made about the toilet signs. This is just to justify HIS OWN rude behavior.

The owner, Koen, is a fantastic, humorous guy who makes delicious food. We had some really tasty tapas, almost everything on his menu was delicious. The service, both from him, his partner, and the young lady, was excellent. Every now and then, he'd pop in with a joke or anecdote. We really enjoyed it.

Deze plek is geweldig! De pintjes San Miguel zijn heerlijk van het vat! De eigenaar is heel vriendelijk en heeft een woordje voor iedereen. Snelle vriendelijke bediening. Nette zaak. Hier komen we met veel plezier terug. Zelfs de hond werd met plezier bediend. Bedankt Roel voor deze leuke tussenstop. Vanaf nu is dit een vaste stop op onze rally.

Received a very unfriendly welcome, especially because of his comments. The food was of poor quality and the colleague got very sick from his ribs. This was a real disappointment and not recommended. I understand that he is currently without staff. Who wants to go along with this story?

The young woman who served us was very nice! Unfortunately, the owner wasn't quite so nice. At first, we thought it was because we had asked a question, but that wasn't the case! After the owner felt like he was treating an elderly couple like they weren't even allowed to answer normal questions properly, that was that! P.S.: OK for an old corner pub, but with those prices, well, if you like that, go for it!

If you want to enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine in Zeeland, Roel is the place to go! The best paella I've had outside of Spain 🦪🦐🥘 However, you have to pre-order/make a reservation. The atmosphere is lovely, you can sit quietly and enjoy the evening sun on the terrace, and the owner will occasionally make you laugh with a joke or funny saying.

Onbeschoft behandeld. Vroegen om latte machiato.daar doet deze Mijnheer niet aan. Ook n stoel bij n tafel zetten is niet nodig als er kleine houten krukjes staan. Zeer ongemakkelijk zitten moet je maar voor lief nemen. Geen aanrader! Zelfs voor Nederlanders !!!!

We were there today. Among other things, we ordered bread with herb butter... we got a small pre-packaged bowl and regular butter, even though it said herb butter on the menu. The Spanish meatballs... that was the worst. The manager then came over and told me I should rinse my mouth to taste the garlic. 🤨🤢 Once and never again... that's a no-go.

De boerenomelet bestond uit een blikje groentenmacedoine waar eieren overheen geklutst waren. Had kraak nog smaak. De eigenaar steekt zijn hekel aan Belgen niet onder stoelen of banken en blijft maar zeuren. De rekening klopte niet. Geen Ticket. Bijzonder onvriendelijk ontvangen. Te mijden.

Wir sind zum wiederholten Male hier und kommen wieder. Der Eigentümer bedient mit Witz und Charme. Das Essen jedes Mal super lecker. Hier gibt es einen Gastronom, der sein Herz in der Gaststätte lebt. Urig, eigentümlich, super Service. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

An absolute disaster – never again! A disaster from start to finish! Upon entering the restaurant, we weren't greeted in a friendly manner, but given a grumpy look, as if we were disturbing the food. No "hello," no smile—just an irritated waitress who didn't exactly welcome us, let alone show us to our table. So we stood there for a few seconds, lost in the restaurant, and the waiter decided to ignore us. The place was empty, by the way. Because of our empty stomachs, we foolishly gave it a chance and sat down. The ambiance? Pub meets restaurant, or at least it tries to. The lack of welcome didn't make us feel at home for a second. After taking our order, the waiter entered the kitchen. A loud cough from the chef repeatedly echoed through the restaurant while the food was being prepared, apparently without even washing his hands afterward. The food was an absolute disgrace. Everything was obviously frozen and carelessly reheated. The vegetarian lasagna? Tasteless, monotonous mush, probably straight from the microwave. The ribs were the same – no sauce – dry – unloved – frozen. The burger? The meat wasn't cooked through – still almost raw inside. When we politely pointed this out, we only received a snide response: "That's how it should be, we're not McDonald's!" – as if there weren't enough people who aren't allowed to eat raw meat for health reasons or simply don't want to. I've rarely experienced such arrogance. The man seemed almost insulted that someone was criticizing him for his lousy catering. I've never left a restaurant with such a bad feeling and still an empty stomach and wallet. Because the best part? For such lousy quality, you pay completely exorbitant prices! A glance at the bill left us speechless. Cheap frozen food that tastes worse than cafeteria fare, but at prices as if a top chef were at work here – an absolute joke! For a meal at this top-class restaurant, a commoner would pay at least €20 or more. Why? Conclusion: Unfriendly service, unhygienic conditions in the kitchen, cheap, unappealing frozen food, overpriced prices, and completely unacceptable customer service. If you're looking for a bad evening, this is the place for you. For everyone else: stay away! ⭐ 0 out of 5 stars – never again!

In perfect weather, sunny, we sat outside at the set tables. After a while, the owner came and we wanted to place our order. He remarked, rather rudely, that we would only be served inside... Great. A little further down, guests were also welcome outside. It works. :)

To flee! The food was absolutely disgusting, it felt like I was eating food reheated in the microwave, at an absolutely mind-boggling price! €83 for 2 lasagnes, a burger to wake the dead, 3 beers and 2 glasses of wine. Really, if you want to have a good evening, avoid even walking past, because the boss is execrable.

You may only drink coffee on a bar stool. Even if you prefer to sit in a chair for your health. Then the owner will send you to the terrace while it is raining. When I make a comment about this, I am told I am arrogant. How very sad!

I saw the price and thought „I hope the food is worthy”. First of all, the service was very unfriendly,I asked if they had fried fish, the cook answered„this is a restaurant we don’t have trash fish“, second the place is kinda dirty, the food was kinda fast (there was not others clients when we arrived) but it was not good cooked, the calamari’s almost went swimming back. The schnitzel was so oily that I could fried a egg with that, it also tasted like a frozen thing. The salad didn’t seem fresh. To be a „restaurant“ as he said, it was super bad👋

The “Spanish” restaurant was quite nice. A large selection of dishes, perhaps too large? The owner and the waitress were nice. The food was ok. We got what we ordered. We thought it was fine.

Never seen. The boss saw that we were French, he offered to speak English, but he continued to speak in Dutch. When we ordered, the latter left without saying anything, bringing everything back to us without saying anything either. Fantastic. The staff was very friendly and humorous. I followed the waiter's recommendation and ordered the fish platter. I can say with conviction that this was probably the tastiest fish dish I have ever eaten. The beef fillet was also incredibly good. The portions for children are sufficient. There is a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is rustic. Basically “small but nice” 😊 The prices are reasonable for a holiday region. Conclusion: really, really big recommendation. Definitely try it out and enjoy your meal 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Unfortunately you have to give one star, otherwise I would like to give minus stars. I would classify the landlord as a German hater. He said the Germans just had a big mouth. After 2 minutes we were gone again. To all Germans, take your hard-earned money somewhere else. There are so many nice Dutch people with restaurants.

Amazing seating outside in the sun. Quiet town with ample bicyclists stopping by. Nice Spanish music softly playing over the speakers, even outside. The cappuccino was kind of boiling hot though.

We 'got lost' in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and by chance arrived at the Grand Café in Nieuwvliet. Had a nice beer on the terrace, served by the friendly owner who had to do it without or with too few staff. Nevertheless, pleasant and relaxed.

Als de eigenaar was door gegaan met waar hij mee bezig was , had ik misschien iets gedaan wat niet netjes was. Wat een onbeschoft persoon is dit. Echt, wat een vreemde man. Mijn tip: ECHT niet naar toe gaan

De plek is heel aardig maar de eigenaar is ronduit onbeschoft en onaardig. Het is ons totaal onduidelijk waarom deze man in de horeca werkt. Geen empathie en geen humor. Wij kwamen voor een lunch maar hebben na een gesprek van hooguit 5 minuten met deze man de lunch afbesteld, de drank afgerekend en zijn met gierende banden vertrokken. Geen aanrader....

Wat een drama ontvangst met de mededeling heeft u gereserveerd want ik gooi de tent zo dicht. En dat terwijl er volop plek was Eten matige kwaliteit, bediening niet professionneel bij afrekenen met de pin voor behoorlijk bedrag gewoon 50 cent extra berekenen aan pinkosten Een keer maar nooit weer!!!

As a wheelchair user you are not welcome here. The manager is very rude and did not serve us! When asked if we could order he said "no, that's not possible". We were not served so we left. This place is not recommended, 1 star is still too many.

Totally beautiful 😍 on a quiet street. The service was very nice...beautiful sunny spots outside that are so separated that you feel like you're sitting all alone on this small terrace. Fast service and the glasses were only empty.

Gisteren de paella gegeten. Die was ongelooflijk goed van smaak en presentatie. Alweer een echte aanrader om hier te eten. Vandaag onze laatste vakantie dag hier afgesloten met weer een heerlijke maaltijd. De vriendelijkheid en bediening is hartelijk en maakt het avond eten een feestje. Lieve mensen bedankt voor drie fijne avonden bij jullie.

Heerlijk gegeten in een sfeervol en gezellig Grand Cafe. De naam waardig. Meten gereserveerd om terug te komen en paella te eten. Echt een aanrader.

We komen hier al meerdere jaren als we op vakantie zijn aan de zee. Super aardige mensen, heerlijk eten (vooral de paella is een echte aanrader) en een fijne, ongedwongen sfeer. We komen hier graag weer terug!

't Was herfst en maandag. We zochten onderweg van Nieuwvlietbad (Pareltje aan de kust) richting Sluis om ff iets te eten rond de middag. In Nieuwvliet passeerden we 't Grand Café dat tot onze grote blijdschap open was. We waren de enige gasten op dat moment. De baas kwam ons vriendelijk tegemoet, mét een grapje en wat verhalen/belevenissen. Niks mis mee. 'k Denk dat sommige reacties van mensen de uitbater enerveren, of zelfs kwetsen. De klant is koning zegt men...doch respect is ook als klant iets elementair. Uiteindelijk hebben we recent (corona)gevoeld hoe groot 't belang is van horeca: mensen en plaatsen die ervoor zorgen dat wij met onze vrienden, geliefden onder 't genot van een drankje, een lekkere maaltijd, een fijne tijd hebben. Dus ik kan de uitbater begrijpen dat hij soms in z'n wiek geschoten is bij plompe, onbeleefde reacties van klanten. Voor wat ons betreft was alles meer dan prima in orde. Als we in de buurt zijn, komen we graag eens terug!

Basic ‘bruin cafe’ type of establishment. We had a coffee and small lunch and it was fine - no culinary adventure, but that wasn’t expected here either. Friendly service, no problems.
