Very friendly service and delicious beer, bitterballen, and Heups fries.

Very few options for vegetarians. The choice is between a larger portion of fried mushrooms, which is also listed as a starter on the menu, or a quiche that is far too salty. The comment about this was dismissed with the statement that salt is the house specialty. Almost laughable if it weren't so ridiculous. Furthermore, one small bowl of very salty fries (which is, after all, the house specialty), with the remark that we could order more. So we did so immediately, but our second bowl of fries arrived after asking twice, when the food had already run out. Oh well. The acoustics aren't great, but the decor is cozy. Friendly, but inadequate staff.

Great cafe/restaurant. Very friendly and attentive service. Great selection of cakes and ice cream, and an appealing à la carte menu.

Always a good atmosphere, delicious food, and the service is always in a good mood; we love going there.

There were five of us at Grand Café Smit today. We received very friendly service, and they even spoke to us in German. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the food was excellent. Thank you so much for the lovely visit.

Delicious food, friendly staff. I had chicken pesto soup and roast duck fillet, both very tasty. The dessert menu is exceptional; I've rarely had such a delicious dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The soup was very sweet and didn't seem fresh. The staff wasn't sure what meat was in the soup and what wasn't. The vegetarian lasagna was inedible (no sauce). The atmosphere is nice, but I wouldn't go there for the food.

Very bad. We'd just finished a long bike ride, got some ice cream, and sat down at the picnic table across from the restaurant. My mother said, "Ow, I'm so thirsty! I'll just get some water." She walked to the "Grand Cafe" and politely asked if we could have some water. A waiter said, "No, you can't bring water, you MUST sit on the terrace." My mother came out disappointed WITHOUT WATER, because that wasn't allowed :( How childish! We were just thirsty!

Had coffee and cake with you this morning. So nice and helped by the girl with the braid. We come from Alkmaar and she gave us the tip to go to the Alpaca farm near us in Egmond aan de Hoef. Had a nice lunch with a friend this afternoon. We had a nice spot and were helped right away. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The food looked perfect and tasted delicious. We will definitely come back, this is highly recommended if you are in beautiful Losser.

Fantastic!! We had never dined here before, but highly recommended!! We both had soup, my husband onion soup and I had mushroom soup. Main course for hubby was a schnitzel and I had satay. Delicious!! And for dessert we walked to the ice cream parlor for 3 scoops of ice cream with whipped cream each. Awesome!! Nice staff. We will most certainly come back.

We really enjoyed lunch (June 6, 2024). Delicious and beautifully prepared. Very tasty. Compliments to the chef. I spoke briefly with one of the ladies (she was well-known in North Holland). That also improves the atmosphere. We were 'just off the highway' on our way home from Germany. But it was worth the detour. Top!

They have delicious soups here, very filling and deliciously creamy. With the goulash soup you can use the spoon upright as an example. And a varied offering through the weekly specials.

Na de begrafenis een samenzijn. Zeer netjes moet ik zeggen beleef,goede koffie met gebak van top kwaliteit. Mooie zaak ouderwetse kwaliteit.

Voor de 2e keer gegeten bij restaurant Smit in Losser,en geen spijt van het eten was echt zeer goed en smakelijke spareribs gegeten, ook de sla was echt fris en zeer smakelijk, het ijsbuffet wat ze zelf maken is heerlijk , ook over de bediening goed te spreken kwamen af en toe even langs of alles naar wens was. kortom hier gaan we de volgende keer zeker weer naar toe, chapeau!

Bij Grandcafé Smit kun je heerlijk eten en drinken. De lunch en diner zijn uitstekend. Het personeel is aardig en professioneel. Echt een aanrader, ook voor gezinnen erg geschikt. In de zomer een mooi ruim terras. Daarnaast is er ook een ijssalon, waar heerlijk ijs te verkrijgen is.
